Ms. Beard is a gorgeous, intellegent lady. She is very pleseant and really wants her students to succeed. She is flexible about extenuating circumstances. Also gives lots of extra credits.

I took her online course it was really fun. I forgot sometimes that it was actually work. She was really helpful and there were times where I had to turn in my homework late and she gave me full credit on it!! She is wants all to succeed. If you try she will notice and help you. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I strongly recommend her.

Mrs. Beard is a great teacher. She has sudy guides for all tests from day one. She lets you know exactly what you need to know for tests, which made studying quite easy. There is a lot of studying involved, but as long as you put forth an effort, you should have no problems!

I took this class online and it was fun. I like when teachers get involved in the discussion questions and responses. Just make sure you read the chapters and study vocabulary terms.

I had Professor Beard for 201 over the summer and she was a great instructor. She teaches by her power points so its easier to absorb the topic. If you complete all of your assignments, study and attend class then you will honestly pass. I have her again this fall for 203

I hated the online dicussions, but she made them interesting so they arent too bad. test are fairly easy if you do the reviews ahead of time. Test are done at home as well as the final exam. very fair teacher...her project was fairly easy too. GREAT TEACHER

This is a good teacher, assignments are not to time consuming, and she is very helpful is you have questions. Make sure you spend your three hours per week logged in or she will dock your grade. This class was pretty easy and Mrs Beard was a cool teacher.

I've also taken her for PSY 203: Human Growth & Development. She's easy to understand, helpful, and reacts positively to student input. As long as you make an effort, you should do well in her class.

Seriously one of the best teachers I have ever had. She makes class interesting and she genuinely cares about her students and their performance. Always print out the chapter handouts, they are extremely helpful on the tests. If you attend this class regularly and pay attention you will do fine.

She is such a sweet lady and is incredibly understanding. All you have to do for her class is be on the course for 3 hours every week and complete all content. Completing the content counts towards your number of hours online. You also have to do a discussion question (they're really easy). Tests were kind of difficult, but not too bad.

She is really awesome professor!She really goes over the content and uses a lot of real world examples that make the material easier to understand! All you have to do is the D2L assignments and the practice quizzes and the test come easy! Definitely recommend her over any other professor!

She's a great teacher this was my second time taking a class she taught. Test are easy if you pay attention and take notes. I passed all my test and didn't even use the book at all! so if you fell her class your just slack. Took psy201&203 and passed with flying colors, Mrs Beard is GREAT!!!

She uses real life examples in her lectures that make understanding the material a lot easier. She goes exactly by the syllabus, and never has any surprise work. The only surprise you'll get is extra credit. Never bought or needed the book. No complaints here.

Holly Beard is easily one of the most prestigious PSY professors at Midlands and most agree. She is head of the department so you will have special privileges to material. Do not worry, you are in GREAT hands. Her tests are multiple choice and she prepares you for exactly whats on it. I did not use the book because her lectures are perfect.

Ms. Beard demonstrates what a good teacher should be. Her lectures are amazing, using real life, easy to understand examples and covers exactly what will be on the test. Thoroughly prepares you for all tests including the final. Print our her powerpoints, write what she writes on the board and study those two things and you'll be fine.

The information she gives is class is above and beyond what you need for the departmental final. Her tests are easy if you pay attention in class and study. If you can pass her tests, you'll pass the final easy. But you HAVE to do your homework or you WILL fail without a doubt.

I LOVE MRS BEARD! She is an AMAZING teacher! I took her for PSY 201 and PSY 203 and received A's in both classes. Her lectures are very clear and extremely interesting. I printed out the PowerPoints for her lectures which made it a lot easier to take notes! If you pay attention and take good notes, you will pass. She's so helpful!

She is an amazing teacher. She really knows her subject. I really liked how we did have an extra credit project, and there is only one paper and its not that bad at all! Would definitely take her again!

She's probably the most fair professor. She'll work with you if you ask for help, but she is stern. She's nice and I actually choose to take her again after I had to medically withdraw mid semester from her hybrid course. I then took just the online course and it's basically the same. Her grades are earned, but credit is given where credit is due.

Long lectures and can be a little boring but great information and useful for test. I would not buy the textbook she makes everything easily accessible on D2L. Must attend class if your late your absent. NO EXCUSES

Overall a great teacher. Usually doesn't make any exceptions for anything though. I.E coursework, homework, tests, attendance. If its late for any reason, oh well.

I love Mrs. Beard's class. She does assign "homework" but it is online and only takes maybe 5 minutes. The tests are taken at home which means you can have your notes or google to help you pass. She is very knowledgeable and her lectures are not too boring. She also has cute outfits haha.

Mrs. Beard's Psy201 was my first online class and I it was the best experience I could have hoped for. She was organized, clear, and supportive. She had all the criteria written out and explained day one. She gave all the right tools to help pass this class. I wish I could have her for every class I have to take!

Mainly a good teacher; however, she counts tardies as absences. DO NOT TAKE AN EARLY MORNING CLASS. MTC has terrible parking especially at the beginning of the semester. Lectures are great, and if you take notes easy class to pass without difficulty.

Mrs. Beard was one of my favorite psychology teachers at midlands. She is very friendly and explains things very well. You do a lot of group work but it isn't bad. Shes very funny and grades fairly. You definitely need the textbook and the quizzes online help a lot to prepare you for her tests. Passed with an A. Would definitely take again. :)

Professor Beard was a great teacher! You can tell she is very passionate about psychology. All of our tests were online and at home, but before we could take them we would have to make a 70 or better on practice tests. They really did help for the real test. Also, we did a service learning project at the Ronald McDonald House, super fun. DO TAKE!!!

She is a wonderful professor. I am currently in her class and really enjoy each lecture. She's very kind, respected and professional, and her lectures are super engaging. The tests are straight-forward. Be sure to take notes in class. She doesn't allow electronics (department policy) so have paper! Reading helps. She is great at covering content.

The class i took with her is not very difficult as long as you pay attention in class and take some notes. She writes on the board a lot too so write that stuff down. I like the practice quizes we take online because you can take them as much as you want and most of the questions are on the test anyways.

This instructor is awesome. You can tell she cares a lot about what she is doing and her students. This class has review quizzes online that help you get prepared to take tests. Sometimes she may give quizzes on book material, but she will always let you know beforehand. Group activities occur sometimes, but not too often. Highly recommend.

I loved taking her class! She relates information to real life situations, which helped me make connections and memorize it. It was one of my most enjoyable classes. There was a lot of printing needed for our research articles. (Print them out, annotate them, break into groups that class and discuss your papers for participation grade).

Although Professor Beard tells you to refer to your textbook a lot, you don't need it. Take good notes and do the assigned quizzes and you will be a-okay! On another note, if you've taken AP Psych, this class is very similar to a big repeat of that!

I love having her for psychology 201 that I'm taking her 203 class during the summer. Make sure you take the quizzes because if you don't you cant take the tests. The book helps but isn't 100% necessary although she'll tell you it is. Also, she has a no screens policy so don't get an ebook if you do get the textbook.

I had her first thing in the morning during my first semester and the class turned out to be great. All of her lectures are really focused on the information and making lasting connections between yourself and the material so it's easier to remember. I loved having her so much that I'm taking PSY-203 with her and I've recommended her to my friends.

I highly recommend Mrs. Beards class! She is very caring and is willing help you out. I took her online hybrid class, so we met once a week online. Throughout the semester she offered 4 different easy extra credits. She uses a point system, you can basically pass the class just by participating in class and doing the learning curve quizzes.

Holly Beard is a great professor. She is very committed to her students learning and understanding the material. The bonus is that she also wants them to do well in the class! She is specific about what you need to learn and also provides several opportunities for extra credit. I hope to have her as an option for 203 as well.
