Holly is enthusiastic and a great teacher. SHe provides all the notes and study guides needed for her tests. Make sure you read the chapters before class, she sometimes will give quizes on the reading but they're a piece of cake if you've read.

This lady is amazing. She is so sweet, so willing to help, and she's hilarious. She teaches in a way that students actually WANT to learn. She's awesome. I highly recommend her for any class. Quizes and tests are pretty easy as long as you do the readings!

Very energetic! 2 exams (midterm, final), 10 easy quizzes (doing the reading, it's easy), and 1 paper. I would totally recommend taking her for SPE 126!

This class is an easy A. Holly is an awesome professor also. Her voice is adorable!!! If you are going into genED I would take this class because it is important to be well rounded and this class introduces you to ways to incorporate disabled kids in your classroom. Tests are easy, must read book

Easy if you do the readings. Many little quizzes and, like, two big tests, and one paper. The guest speakers will bore you to DEATH, but otherwise it's an okay class. Dr. Hoffman is a very sweet and understanding woman.

Holly is so cool. I'm a gigantic slacker and do not enjoy going to class but this is the only class i have ever ENJOYED going too!! Holly makes class very laid back and fun and as long as you study for the tests (study guides) you will ace it!! i got a 46/50 on the midterm! Its a great class!!

Holly is awesome, from day one she has been a spectacular teacher. She makes the class fun and is actually pretty easy grade-wise. She's more interested in you knowing the stuff you need to than memorizing a whole bunch of weird, useless facts. If you're gonna take any HEV course that Holly teaches, she is the best.

Great Professor!!!!

She was willing to help with whatever I needed. If I had to miss class she was glad to e-mail me the notes that I missed. She is very upbeat and positive and always tries to hold your attention. Although the notes may be lengthy at times, are very detailed and helpful.

She is super nice and is always willing to help in any way possible. Very understanding. Can be very scatterbrained at times but it keeps class interesting. Tests are straight from study guides and she let us take them with a partner. Go to class for lecture and in-class assignments... it can hurt your grade if you don't go to class.

You rarely use the book, but some of the questions on the exam study guides are from the book and I found it is a good resource to have around anyways. Exams are always easy and I always looked forward to her class!

Holly's class is really easy, and she seems like a nice lady. Some of the stuff she lectures on is pointless, and I really did not learn all that much. But take it if you want an easy A and an easy UP class. Just make sure you get the notes and do the study guide for exams.

So nice, cute and helpful. It is totally unnecessary to read the textbook or even get it. Just go to class, take notes on the powerpoints and what she's saying and you'll be fine. She gives great study guides. I took this as a night class and was almost always let out early. Easy tests!

Holly is fabulous! Four exam including final (which isn't cumulative) and gives study guides. Really nice to be around, you can tell she really loves the field she's in. Don't bother with the book, just go to class. My class made a Facebook group and that was really helpful. I wish I could have Holly for all of my Special Education classes!!!

Holly is entertaining and a really fun teacher. She makes a 3 hour lecture class not so bad. She had 4 exams and as long as you study the study guide you will get an A. Class isn't mandatory but she has in class assignments and doesn't tell you when they are so if you miss class you run the risk of missing an assignment.

Definitely my favorite professor at CMU. I took this course for an elective during my Junior year. I wish I took it Freshman year because I would've changed my major to Special Ed. Class is on Tuesday nights, but it is always so much fun. Take this for an easy A and a fun class even if it is not your major.

Holly is a fun amazing professor. She has lots of energy which was great for a late afternoon class when you just wanted to be done with classes for the day. She can be a little scatter brained at times but is overall great.

I love Holly, she is caring and compassionate about her job. Going to class is an option but there are quizzes every week and that is basically all you are graded on. There is a teambuilder every class but they are easy and so much fun to get to know each other. DEFINITELY, recommend!!!!

Holly was an amazing professor. She was very bubbly and energetic which made taking her class at 8 am easier. She was always telling us about things that were happening on campus and in the community so that we could get involved if we wanted to. Her assignments were easy and explained well, as long as you tried and put in effort you were good.

Shes sooo nice and easy

I took the 8 week class over the summer. It was very doable. She's a great professor. There were a couple papers, a project, and a few discussion board posts. The syllabus says you lose 10% everyday the assignment is late, but I never lost points for late assignments.

-Easy grader -Very funny and caring -Super energetic for 8am :) -Kinda sucks if you're secondary edu because you mainly focus on childhood development and anything over age 15 is skimmed over

I absolutely adore Holly! I had her for an 8am and she was always so energetic and fun. For a WI, there was very little writing, just weekly journals, and occasional papers. There is little to no homework. I would highly suggest her class if you need an easy WI.

Easiest WI you'll ever have, there were only two papers, and weekly journals. Holly is very energetic and caring. Wish she was a little bit clearer on rubrics/grading.

I love Holly and it is clear that she cares for her students. There are weekly reading quizzes however you can do it with a group. When it comes to the out of class work, she makes it clear what needs to be done however she is super flexible. Would 100% recommend her for any class.

My favourite professor right here- I took a WI course with her and there were barely any writing assignments. Hardly any homework, so it's nine weeks into the semester and I still don't have a grade. Worrying me a little bit that way. But she's super nice and really cares. Love her so much

Holly Hoffman has to be one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is so jolly and bright, bringing so much energy every day. Her classwork is relatively easy as long as you are keeping yourself up to date and pacing yourself. I am so happy I was in her class, if you have Professor Hoffman it is a blessing!

Professor Hoffman was so incredibly sweet and caring. She grades well and gives critics where you need them to allow you to grow, this does result in very little changes depending on the type of writer. She is so much fun and I really enjoyed her.

HOLLY IS THE BEST!! She is so much fun and energetic. She is an easy grader as long as you just try. There are weekly reading quizzes that you can work on with a group. Holly was amazing! I would 100% retake her. She was kind and caring, and she brought in snacks all the time. We did have weekly chapter quizzes that were for 10 points each. To pass them with 100%, you need to know some of the key information from the textbook, but overall, they weren't too hard. I would 100% recommend taking Holly's courses!

She doesn't make her class feel like it's only about work, which makes learning more enjoyable and less stressful. Readings is important and includes short quizzes every couple of chapters. I would definitely take another class with her again.
