This Prof. is extremely nice! She will work with you and truly has "office hours" and sits down in a one on one meeting to help you if you are struggling. Yes, just in every case in English she has you write essays but yet it's fair. One day we had a reflection paper on what we've learned in our lives. We wrote a poem for our class. AWESOME!!!

She is extremely helpful and makes you feel really comfortable. She helped me alot with my writing. She though is extremely fair and if you have a problem with an assignment she will give you alot of leverage. For instance someone was 2 weeks late on an assignment and she just took like 10 points off. She is really nice and helpful and easy!!!!

Prof. Jones is amazing. She is a wealth of information, both related and not-so related to the topic at hand. She's very funny, grades very fairly and detailed, and is extremely fair about deadlines. 5 main papers with other smaller assignments sprinkled in.

She is really easy. As long as you do the work she'll work with you if you have a problem. People have been late like 3 weeks and she didn't have a problem. She also allowed you to rewrite a paper if you didn't get it and she'd give you the better grade. She is also helpful and explains everything. The paper's are easy (poems) and no final!!!!

I LOVED HER! This was the only class I went to everyday (attendance was mandatory), but I enjoyed going. She definitely expands your mind and makes you think! If you ask for help, she goes out of her way to help you. There are a good amount of essays, and you should take this class seriously, but it's worth it!

Holly Jones is Great! I was in her Fall Semester Class. At first she seems like a funny and wacky teacher, but some how she taught everyone in the class how to write amazing papers. When she told us that she was teach 1002 in the spring and she would tell us which classes she was teaching it was a mad dash in our class to get in her class first,lol

Prof. Jones is a great teacher and you will not regret taking her. Attendance is required but the class is relatively interesting so it did not bother me. There are a few essays and assignments and as long as you go to her during office hours you will get A's on the essays, which is a big portion of your grade. Don't buy the book it's never used

She is an inspiring teacher and she actually cares about her students and will take extra time with you if you need it during the week and on weekends.

Seriously out of the box lesson plans that can get really off topic, but with good intentions. She gives a LOT of papers, but also gives a lot of opportunities to get a good grade. Very approachable and takes time out of her sched. to help you if you ask. Quite a bit of short story/essay reading.

I had Professor Jones my first year and I loved her. There are no test, but a lot of papers. Her lectures are fun and extremely interesting. She is willing to work with you, I met her at starbucks twice for her to look at my paper. Her and her way of thinking is unique and out of the box. If you have a chance to take her class, DO IT!

She allows you to make appts with her before the paper is due to go over your rough draft which i HIGHLY recommend bc she gives you very useful feedback. NEVER used the book. Her class is definitely not your high school English course- it is much more challenging but I am a better writer because of it. DEFINITELY take advantage of meeting with her one on one to go over papers- she is the one grading your paper in the end, so she edits it the way she thinks it needs to be (and you will end up with a better grade!)

Professor Jones is brilliant. She's a genius and interesting as hell, I go to her class just to hear her talk. I love her sense of humor and as well, she's my favorite professor this semester. Professor Jones is highly intelligent, there's no question about it. She gives thought provoking lectures and is a joy to listen to. However, her tests are increasingly difficult and there is an immense work load. Be prepared to spend a majority of your free time on homework from this class.

TAKE HER. Professor Jones will make you a better writer. There is a lot of work at the beginning of the semester, but hang in there. I loved this class! Prof Jones connects literature to history, music, art, philosophy - EVERYTHING! For World Lit she is amazing. She's very passionate and caring about her job. She obviously cares and is always willing to work with you. Study sessions before tests, which are mostly short answer. There are some readings but easy and she goes over them in class. She has good advice and makes you think. I really respect and like her, she's fun too!

She's a wonderful English Professor. Any help you need, she'll help all that she can. Attendance is a must. Each class she introduces helpful material, that will be beneficial for your final paper. There are two quizzes, around 8 major assignments (fairly easy), a major final paper (350 pts). The paper have to be at least 5 pages. Start it ASAP

She's awesome! She is passionate about her subject and passionate about her students! The class is an easy A- if you do well on the paper. She doesn't assign much so do what she does assign and turn it in on time! It's very manageable and a good class to take with her if you have something difficult like Calc 1 or 2 or Bio or something.

I took her for 1101 and 1102. She's a great teacher. Very knowledgeable. Not the most organized but she's fair, if she misplaces your work she will give you credit. Being part of her lectures are key. You will learn more from hearing her tell stories and randomly talk vs. reading the text. Shes fun and genuinely wants her students to do well.

The books read in this class are not easy to comprehend. The tests are like 10 pages long and are not easy. Definitely go to all of her extra credit study sessions, and write the extra credit papers. Her lectures are all over the place. She is really funny, easy going, and also very knowledgeable.

Depending on what you're in school to do, get an education or fly under the radar, and the amount of time and attention you put in to your education will greatly affect the outcome of this class. Professor Jones has a good deal of wisdom to impart, she thinks outside the box, and is willing to impart her wide range of knowledge.

I took prof. Jones for a summer semester. She gives great feedback on projects/ ideas and is open to most topics chosen for the research paper. There is one final paper but assignments given will prepare you for the entire thing. Easy to get in contact with and will even have over the phone meetings with you if your schedules aren't compatible.
