The class is easy. There's homework...but you don't have to turn it in. Basically, you'll get an A as long as you take the notes. She makes the math super easy and explains it almost TOO step by step. As a person, I don't like her. She kind of snobby.

Stats can get a little confusing but she trys to make everything simple. I really reccommend her. But be careful, she is really cute. She has the nicest butt in the world, so that may be a distraction. Holla at ya boy. One

Holly rocks! She's very helpful and really only emphasized what you need to know, not a bunch of other waste. She'll give you hints on tests and take away only one point, so you can still get the rest of them if you take it from there. Highly recommended!

Ms.Price is one of the best teachers i think, she actually cares and know your name.She does teach very well, and does give alot of examples, if you need more help she'll give it to you. I would recommend taking her class!

I'm very bad at math, I just got past math 110 with a C+ and I was worried about taking math 115, but Ms.Price is a very helpful teacher, she gives homework.. but its straight out of your notes. She is an easy grader, and tests are not too bad. I definatly recommend taking her!I'm getting a B+!

Ms Price was a very helpful professor. I hated math before I took it with Ms Price when I took it with her this past semester I got an B. But before then I use to get C's and D's before I took it with her. Great teaching methods.

I took Price (now Shalk) because I heard that she was easy. We ended up having mass exams, which meant that her and Dr. Sun wrote a test and his classes and hers all took the same test. Come to find out her classes usually did better. The bottom line isn't that she is easy, it's that she is a GREAT prof, who really cares and that makes it easy.

This was my third time in 115 but with this prof and SLA...things finally clicked. No surprises like pop quizzes and everything on the test is gone over in class. There was a lot of homework but I guess that is normal in math.

Great teacher! I'm bad at math and I understood everything. Weekly quizzes but they're take home and if you ask her to look over it she'll tell you what's wrong and fix it and you get 10/10. I went from failing the tests in my previous math 110 course, to passing my tests with perfect scores. She makes everything super easy to understand, gives us take home quizzes, homework is online, and she's super nice and helpful. You will not regret taking her if you aren't good at math.

FAVORITE PROF EVER. I took the ALEKS course with her, and Aleks was sometimes hard to understand, she went out of her way to teach it differently to help me understand. She has attendance mandatory at first, but not after a while. She even made videos showing how to do every topic! She is literally my favorite prof ever. Take her if you can!!

I loved her! The class that I took was online, but we had to come to class until we finished the entire online portion. Then there was a written exam. I finished the class in a month and didn't have to go to class for most of the semester. You should definitely take her, she is super helpful if you need it.

by far the best teacher a freshman can recieve, failing you is not her mission, she will do anything and everything to help you pass, also my class was on Aleks and its much easier and helpful, i recommend her for all of your math classes, shes the best also understands every issue!

BEST MATH PROF EVER. I've always been terrible at math, but something about the way Holly teaches made it click! There's no textbook, which I thought was great. The homework is online, so if you answer wrong you know right away and can fix it. If you have a decent grade, she doesn't require that you come to class. Happy to have her again for 115!

Best math teacher ever! I sucked at math in high school and I only passed because of extra credit :P Schalk is amazing at explaining the different concepts and it just clicked for me. She will take time out to help you if needed and she is really good about rescheduling tests if you tell her ahead of time. The quizzes are all take home. =]

This was the first time I took a math class & got an A When I took the class, we used webassign, so assignments & the book were online. u are also allowed 4 absences and if u dont go over that, then u get ur lower test score dropped.

I really enjoyed her with this class. I already liked math before I came to the class, but it was a Monday class that I didn't mind waking up for. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you have 3 or less absences the final was optional. Overall, I would recommend her to anyone. Her lessons are easy to follow and she will always help you!

Best math professor on campus by far! I hadn't had a math class in 12 years, and I got a 99% in 110 and a 94% in 115 with her. If you have a choice between her and anyone else, pick her. If you don't understand what she's going over, she'll explain it two or three different ways until you understand. Awesome professor and very easy on the eyes!

She is amazing. Her practice problems in the notes are related to real life things and are very similar to what she puts on tests. She goes over homework before you turn it in. Highly recommended.

Overall great professor. This woman was born to be a teacher. She gives great notes and weekly homework. She does a great job of using examples that are applicable to science majors. The best math 251 professor at Ferris BY FAR. She tells you exactly what is going to be on the test, but her tests can be difficult.

I've never met a math instructor that is so clear at teaching. She is so transparent to the point that if you do horrible on a test, it's your fault. She gives practice tests, posts notes online after every lecture, etc. She does more than enough for her students to be successful in the course. It was a pleasure taking her. Witty personality btw.

Amazing teacher who really explains how to do the math and easy to understand! Online homework and take home quizzes and only 4 or 5 tests. If you only miss 2 days or less she will drop your lowest quiz score! Also, she provides lots of time to finish the homework. Extra bonus you don't have to buy a book.

Prof. Price is a great math instructor. Plenty of examples were given and they matched the homework and exam questions. She can sense when her students don't understand the material and she goes over it until everyone gets it. She gets that we have a life outside of school and doesn't assign to much homework.

Her class is pretty easy. She gives you the notes and walks you through problems in class. Homework is graded, but she does help you through most of it, so you really only have to do a few problems. Her tests aren't hard, but will trip you up if you don't at least attempt to study. Great Professor overall.

The material isn't particularly difficult or easy, but Professor Price makes it seem easy as an abundance of study and course materials are provided at zero cost to the student. She clearly outlines what class objectives are so that there isn't an excuse to not earn an A in the class.

Holly Price is the best math teacher I have ever had. I absolutely HATE math but she is extremely helpful. She prints out the packets you need for the class for you. She uses different colors in the notes to explain thoroughly how to do the math problems. She is absolutely HILARIOUS. Definitely take her, whether you suck at math or are good at it.

If you are not great at math, but must take it as a Gen Ed, take it with Price. She is a great teacher and will work with you until you understand the content.

Professor Price is an amazing professor! She lets students vote between 2 different dates for each test in attempt to not swamp her students with tests. She is very funny and is very clear on grading. I wouldn't take any other professor for this class!

Being a math-loving student, this class was a challenge, however, Dr. Price really helped to make it fun, enjoyable, and checked for understanding. You need to know the material in order to pass, but she is always available to help you. Don't take advantage of her!!! She gets very upset when she's underappreciated.

Took Stats with Holly and it was a nice breather from Orgo and A&P. She handed out note packets with everything needed in it and went through examples. Homework sheets were super easy and she bases grading mostly on effort. Tests were easy with little studying beforehand. She cares a lot about her students and is very clear when it comes to grades

Whether you are terrible at math, like me, or great at math Prof. Price is THE BEST. She is so willing to help and also just switched over to a FREE online textbook to help save student cost. She is so funny and makes the class fun to attend. I've never been confident in my math skills and I finished the class with an A, she makes miracles happen.

This professor does a very good job going smoothly through the lectures making them easy to follow.

All of the notes she does in class and explains very clearly. For my class you got unlimited tries on HW and there was a very small late penalty. For the exams, they were exactly like the HW and you got 2 tries to get all the questions right and could still get partial credit for every answer after the 2 tries. 10/10 would recommend.

Holly is the best professor in the math department! You would actually have to try to get a bad grade in her class. She is great at making concepts seem simple and answering questions. She gives you multiple attempts on tests and gives extra credit opportunities. Practice tests are very similar to the actual tests as well.
