Arrington is a great teacher. VERY cool, easy to talk to, and a blast to be around and learn from. Excellent analytical and creative teacher who happens to infuse a lot of fun into class. I recommend taking him without reservation. You won't regret him.

He's rad. Learned a lot. Doesn't play favorites. Just be respectful, do your homework and enjoy! Keeps the mood light and adds lots of humor, which makes learning fun! I highly suggest taking him for 100 and 110... if you can get in.

mr.a-- Entertaining.. not boring.. although frankly i don't feel i learned that much. Take him if you don't want to be challenged, but enjoy some interesting conversations..some might be offended by his joking and when he puts people on the spot especially foreigners. He is though ultra cool and seems to be very kind-hearted....

Homer is the most entertaining and funny teacher you could have. I really enjoyed his class alot and learned well enough crap. The only thing that is annoying is you have to turn in your essay two days before the due date to turnitin.com. Otherwise he is good teacher.

he's a good teacher. He's really funny. We had interesting class discussions. He's a pretty good grader. The only bad thing is that you have to turn your essays in to turnitin.com or else he won't grade them, but other than that it's a pretty cool class.

Hes a good teacher, very funny. Makes you laugh. Keeps you entertained. I feel bad for the foreigners though who dont understand what hes saying. I also dont feel as if hes teaching us anything regarding English, I hope I pass this class even though I havent learned much since English 80

I was taught by Mr Arrington back in 1990 at Ventura. I was his British mature student and we laughed at the BBC English! Back now in the UK I still remember him and his class.

Great guy. Really funny. But he didnt teach much, or maybe I just didnt learn anything. If you already feel comfortable about your writing and you just feel like you want to have some fun before getting into ENG 110, then you should definitely take him!

Prof is great! Very fun, laughs a lot, and actually gets to know the students. I didn't feel like I learned too much, but then again, it's an introductory English course, one should know the material by 8th grade. One of my favorite teachers, and I've seen him around town many times and he's always willing to chat! Thanks H!

I had Mr. Arrington for Critical Thinking when he was at Ventura College. He is one of the few teachers I still remember fondly. Had a great time in his class; he was funny and helpful, and cared about his students; even though I slacked off a little, he refused to let me get anything less than an A.

Homer is awesome! I loved his class. He is VERY funny and very real. Did not have one class of his I didn't laugh in. He keeps it light and fun. Lots of reading, lots of work, but good feedback on papers to help you become a better writer.

He was a great teacher and kept the lectures fun and easy to understand. gives good feedback and great tips for essays and helps you understand each topic for use in essays. he's flexible with deadlines. and just wants to see you succeed! just put effort into it and youll do great.

BEST TEACHER EVER!!! I wish he taught every class ad CC. He is AMAZING! As long as you do you essays (I turned in most of them late) and still got a B+ and attend lecture you will get an A no problem! So much fun and he's hilarious!! I would recommend him hands down to anyone!

Homes is a great guy, hilarious and keeps classes fun to go to! Kind of a grind on assignments but hes laidback and will work with you to get assignments done. Hes really nice and makes class enjoyable and gets everyone talking and social with each other. Def would recommend him to anyone!

Arrington is a great guy, very helpful. Work hard and you'll do great in his class, I've taken both ENG 110 and 111 and enjoyed both classes, he definitely keeps us entertained and challenged. Best professor I've had at sbcc hands down!

LOVE this guy. Super normal, super Hilarious..... Each class i was entertained and he let us out almost 30 minutes early each time. He's clear on every assignment. He really cares about what you gain from this class and life in general. Absolutely take this class.

Take him! Such an amazing teacher, he's hilarious and keeps things light! He talks to his students on a personal level and makes a ton of jokes. 4 essays which are really not bad at all and very easy homework assignments. For sure have a great time in this class i would never take anyone else!

This guy is Legendary at teaching. He is helpful and his class is never boring, and i do mean never. I would definetly reccomend him.

He is NOT for those with no sense of humor, otherwise he's one of the best instructors I've had. If you want to know where you stand in his class, ask, and he will tell you. If you want to know what's expected of you, it's in his sylabus and he expects the best from you. The reading isn't easy, but his lively class discussions make sense of it.

As far as i am concerned, Homer is the best english at SBCC. I took eng 100 & 110 with him. He explains everything clearly and he gives you plenty of time to do the homework. Class discutions are really interesting and fun. If you pay good attention, u will get something to write about.

Taking class right now, Mr. Arrington is an enthusiastic teacher. Although PD itself is just something that's not fun to learn, class was always fun. Arrington has good stories, life advice, and his class is not boring.

Mr H is the best professor you can have! He is very helpful, kind and his classes are very fun to attend. Assignments were not too hard and he gave a lot of good feedback on papers and there were never any problems with his class. One of the coolest professors on campus! I've never had more fun in a class. Homer is hysterical! He has our class cracking up every time we meet! As far as work goes, there is quite a bit of reading, but nothing too demanding. His grading is fair and he gives awesome feedback on all assignments. You will love taking any of his classes!

Homer is really a good teacher over all. The class was never boring! You could definitely skip a class or two and not let it affect your grade but there is usually a quiz, assignment, or extra credit given in class so you should avoid skipping often. Good reads, easy assignments, but prepare for the final essay and research essay! Tough!

I LOVE this guy. He assigns some sort of homework after every class, but it's usually very simple. I was never afraid to ask any questions, & he allows you to revise ALL of your essays. He is also hilarious! So class is fun. Our ENG 110 course theme was food and that made writing more interesting. Definitely would take him again!!
