Gives great notes. Test questions are straight from the notes. If you are lazy or cannot focus on material then do note take.

This class is hard to begin with but I liked this teacher a lot. Her class notes are exactly what is on the test. If you don't study you wont do well, studying is a must! She is fair and will always help you. Do not let these other reviews fool you!

I really loved her A&P2 class! She was very helpful and clear on what she wants you to do, plus all her tests and quiz's are exactly from the hand out notes and lab book. If you study her notes you are guaranteed to pass her class. I would highly recommend her.

Great professor, you know what to expect from her, just be diligent and read very carefully the hand outs, and attend the reviews. if you really want to learn she is the one. If you just want to pass the class, look for another professor.

Everything on her tests are from her lecture notes, which are very detailed. She goes over things a million times if the class doesn't understand something (but DO NOT ask stupid, repetitive questions or the class will go on forever). Just pay attention in class. She's also a super nice, patient, and reasonable person. :)

I admit, the slight language barrier can be distracting. But she has a sweet personality, and if you study her PowerPoints, you're golden for the tests. She is clearly very smart, but the language barrier makes some points hard for her to convey. Overall, a very nice lady. Attendance is MANDATORY.

Yes there is a slight language barrier but if you open up your ears, you can figure out what she said. She is extremely fair and I would absolutely take her class again, and I plan on it. I am the kind of person who always got bad grades. This is the first class I WANTED to pass. You MUST STUDY... ALOT. A lot of memorization. But super insightful

Dr. Zhao Hong is a an excellent teacher - very organized and fair. She made sure we understood the material and was always ready to help before or after class. She did excellent reviews before each exam. Previous students have said that her accent is hard to understand but I had no problem with it. She speaks clearly. I felt lucky to have her.

the way she teaches can be a little overwhelming. People are complaining about her accent, but I didn't find it hard to understand. Take home quizzes, 25% of lecture's grade. 5 exams 75%. She only uses info from her slides to make the tests. She is 100% by the book. Do not expect any curves, beside 2 points for perfect attendance and study groups.

This class is a lot of reading and there is a lot to take in. What I really appreciated was, she recorded every single lesson, and let you know exactly what she will be testing for. If you need to learn and pass I definitely recommend professor Hong .

Dr. Zhao is amazing! Yes, you need to work hard in the class and learn the material. No, you cannot just sit through and expect to do well. If you are serious about learning Anatomy & Physiology and want to score well with a reasonable amount of work, Dr. Zhao is for you. I wish I could take Dr. Zhao again next semester!!

Prof Hong is a caring professor and is very approachable whenever clarity is needed. The material is not burdensome, just have to put in the work and the grade will follow. I like her little snippets of stories in between teachings, it helps to relax the mind after trying to understand the material being taught. She is an awesome lecturer.

This is my second time taking A&P 1 and its not an easy class but professor Hong Zhao really teaches you in depth and makes you see the bigger picture. I would definitely take again. Gives quizzes based on the materials before tests, personally I benefited from that because I retained more information before taking the exam.

Professor Zhao was great. The subject within of itself is difficult. Everything you need to know is on her slides. She organizes the course well. There are 4 unit exams and one cumulative final. Her exams are difficult at first, but once you get to know her testing style it makes it easier. She gives you the ability to curve your grade up 3 points.

This professor truly cares about her students. If you feel as though you need a bit of extra help she is always more than willing to go above and beyond to help her students succeed. Her exams are very straight forward and the information is directly from her slides!

The Professor Hong Zhao teaches on a way that is easier to understand difficult concepts. However, A&P I is a complex class, you have to study to be prepare for the exams. Professor Hong started off by giving throughout input on the syllabus, I was struggling at the beginning of the course, but Professor Hong was very prompt to my questions and concerns. There are also many opportunities to gain bonus points by utilizing these extra credits I was studying more, I would definitely recommend Professor Hong for A&P.

I am currently taking this class for my second time. My last professor didn't help but professor Zao has been a very good professor. She makes sure to record the lectures that way we can go back to them if we have trouble with a topic and she is also very understanding. Her slides are also very helpful to learning the material.

The professor explain the material, this class is not easy and I don't think you can't find another way to pass but studying. Read her power point everyday and you will pass the class. Professor Hong Zhao is a great Anatomy and Physiology I professor. She really goes into detail with her lectures and makes sure that her students are understanding the content.

Tons of information in PowerPoints which Professor Zhao goes over in detail. I appreciated that she clearly states what she will be testing, and what is additional knowledge. Her lecture is a great opportunity to learn the material. There are open book tests which reinforces the material covered on the exam. And sometimes she even curves up!

Lectures are heavy. Exams and quizzes are hard, you need to read her PowerPoint a lot of time cuz everything that will be in the exam is in her PowerPoint. She gives extra credit and curves the grade. She is a little hard to understand, but overall she is a good prof. and she cares about her students. Prepare to be there for 3 full hours.

I took professor Zhao for the rigorous Summer session five week course for A&P 2. She is a very sweet, and caring professor and will help you when she can. This class is super straightforward. Just go over the slides after class, and you'll be set for the exams. She gives online quizzes but in-person tests which is really convenient. Just stay on top of the homework, and you'll do good in class.

Pro. Zhao is a very good teacher, her class is really straight forward and teaches what she is going to give in her exams. If you listen in class, revise what she teaches in class and study her power points, you will do fine. She revise what she teaches the last class to make sure you understand the material. Hong Zhao is a great professor! I took her for principles of bio and AP1. She is very kind and she will try hard to make you understand the material. The only thing is that her accent can be difficult to understand sometimes, but overall, I totally recommend her class! AP1 is hard, no matter what professor you choose, however, she is a good one.

Her accent can be very difficult to understand most of the time, but she compensates by being a very easy grader. If you don't fail any test, you can choose to not take the final. Lots of memorization, so be careful!

At this level, it's no longer on your professor to make sure you do well in class. A course like this, you must read the textbook and immerse yourself in the information to do well. Professors aren't really there to teach us the material anymore, it should be a supplement to your reading the textbook. Dr. Zhao is great and I will take for AP2

Took her for AP1 last year and she was great. Her accent is very heavy so you shold record her classes. she is very helpful and will try and expalin the lessons to you. She gives alot of extra credits if you do the mcgraw hill assignments. If you read the power points and listen in class, you will be fine. I would definitely recommend her class.

For each chapter, we got around 40+ slides and a fill-in-the-blank worksheet (Class is not textbook-heavy) If you memorize the slides, test yourself using the fill-in-the-blanks, and have an understanding of the material you can do good!
