She is more than fair.She makes herself available for clarification and explanation. AP is a tough subject, you need a tough teacher. Her students will be the ones that excel in their fields due to having had her as their teacher. Those that didn't like her, most likely didnt do well. My advice to them is take responsibility for your selves.

Prof.Sasway is a very good teacher. AP is a tough subject but she is extremly helpful. Her lectures are clear and she does everythig to make it easy to understand. She is hard and expects you to know the material. And you do have to read the book, answer the questions in back of the chapters. I even purchased another Q&A book to help me pass her exams. Basically you get out of it what you put into it. There is no excaping it. You must study....

She is one of the best professors I have ever had. Students that say negative things only say them because they do not do their part of the bargain. Guess what people, this class is hard and you have to work. If you dn't you have noone to blame but yourself!

college is different than high school,professors only need to tell you what text to use it's up to us as students to do all the work & go to extra help if needed, can't wait to see the future nurses, therapists,or whatever you're trying to do don't worry the good professors will weed you out.

Prof. Sasway stays rocking the flyest outfits at SCCC, hands down. On a serious note, she's a spectacular professor and a wonderful woman. Sasway is a good professor in that she gives her students every opportunity to do well. If you do the work you will pass. Her tests are tough, they really make you think and apply what you have learned. Had to figure out how to study for exams. Once I did my grades improved. Always available for questions and extra help. Listen and you will learn.

Fabulous professor but get ready to work. I took her bio132 class this summer and it was brutal. The pace was exceedingly fast and the coursework was on you. She was very helpful and I enjoyed the class. As far as exams go, you need to fully understand each system you are studying in order to do really well on the tests. Don't just memorize.

Sasway is a great professor. She wants all her students to do well and she is very helpful. I got an A. To do well in AP II study her handouts and copy her notes off the board. Also you have to spend time studying for her exams ATLEAST 1 wk before the test because her test questions are conceptual/almost like you are taking a clinical exam!

I had her for A&P 2 lab and I adored her! She is clear and straight forward, and tells you everything that is on her tests. There is never any mystery or surprises! She has office hours and is very easy to get a hold of if you have any questions. Definately would take her again in a heart beat!

Excellent teacher. Very student oriented. She will never blow you off. Always answers questions. Lectures are well prepared and interesting. She gives you the info, then you have to take it from there. Studying for tests is important. I would take her class again any time.

Professor Sasway requires you to think beyond the surface of things. She is very detailed in her teaching and expects you to be in your learning. As students sometimes we aim to understand only the basics and bare minimum of what is required of us..this professor provokes you to look into a whole lot more. This class was not easy but worth it.

Professor Sasway will make sure you understand how the human body works..she will connect all the body systems during lectures. Make sure you read the text prior to the lecture..because she is ready to go. She is fair and honest and will answer any and all questions. I would absolutely recommend her and I would take classes with her again.

Professor Sasway will challenge you to learn beyond memorizing the subject. She will give you the tools to analyze how the anatomy and physiology of the body works. She is very available to all of her students and will delve into all questions. Her classroom environment is comfortable and open.

If u really want an A, take this prof. She goes over everything in details even labs. There are no surprises in her tests. She wants students to learn the material. People say its a tough course, but u just have 2 study little every day. U can't learn it on the day before the test. Highly recommended for all!!! u will c how great prof. she is. :-P

She is REALLY good professor, despite what others say. She tells you everything you need to know on her tests. Study from the powerpoints and any notes that she writes on the board. Her exams are fair and if you study you should not worry. I took her during the 5 week summer session and I learned a lot. Ask questions and she will answer them.

Thanks to this professor, I am able to get A's in all my nursing classes at Suffolk. If you want to succeed in life, expect to be challenged by others. You should take advantage in A & P, study hard.. because in any healthcare profession, you are going to need it!

Professor Sasway is by no means warm and fuzzy- but she is an excellent teacher. Many of the other instructors are doctors, but they don't know how to TEACH the material. Don't expect her class to be easy, but she is intelligent, fair, and if you are willing to but in the effort she gives you every opportunity to succeed. Very pleased I had her!

Isn't exactly the warmest person but is actually really cool once you get to know her. The material is very difficult but she breaks it down so that you understand. She does talk fast but she allows you to record the lecture which is actually what got me an A in the class. Everything you need to know is in the powerpoints. Loved her!

I took her for A&P 1 and 2. Everything you need to know is straight from her powerpoints. the class in general is hard. and a lot of studying but she give you 5 point extra credit if you rewrite the notes. and that was a GREAT study guide. if you do the extra credit there is no way to get less then a B. Hope Sasway is a professional educator and is thorough in her knowledge of the syllabus. There are times when I would challenge her on an obscure bit if info relating to the subject matter. She would accept this information graciously. This further encouraged me to ask more questions. This give and take made the course thoroughly enjoyable.

I love biology, that's why i'm here and that's why I feel lucky to have worked with Hope, a teacher that TRULY KNOWS HER STUFF. She understands that learning something properly requires hard work and dedication. I'm pretty sure whats what people are seeing when they say that she is 'mean'. I also love her voice and dry sense of humor!

I find her to be a great teacher, who wants you to actually LEARN and not just memorize stuff. Beneficial in the long run if you are going for a career in medical or health fields. Gives extra credit for creating a notebook, gives ALOT of homework (only for your benefit also counts as a test grade which helps in long run). I enjoy having her.

Very hard class in general, all her tests are multiple choice, which was most difficult for me. Extra credit is given for up to 10 points on one test which helps. She's very nice, but can go off topic if you ask a question. I worked so hard and got an B. study the powerpoints!!!

Pretty hesitant about the class in the beginning, but came to find that it is very possible if you are diligent. Tests are worded tricky, but she gives many opportunities to boost your grade. She is also very good at making you understand the material! Pay attention to what she has to say during lecture, most of it will be on the test. STUDY!

She is an amazing professor because she is always there to help. A lot of open lab and office hours where she doesn't care to explain to you all your doubts. I was struggle in the tests because was a new system for me and because the language, but I can say that everything count for her; your notes, homework, participation in class, ALL.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear .... This class is no joke. Fortunately for the student that takes this class with this professor is at a profound advantage. Ive had this professor for both BIO130 and BIO132. I am currently taking BIO132. All the comments that are bad are complete trash. She does make you work for an A as any anatomy class should if youre going to be apart of the medical field. It is also not impossible to get an A in her class if you actually put effort in :) very helpful!!

I write this as a graduate student in an allied health profession. Dr. Sasway gave me an incredible background for anatomy and physiology that I have taken with me through my graduate education. The class IS difficult but that's just the nature of the subject believe me. Dr. Sasway is committed to making sure you understand how everything works.

If you're looking just to "pass" this class, and not really learn anything from it and not put in the time and dedication - then this class is not for you. Dr. Sasway is an amazing professor, she knows her stuff and really cares that you are actually learning and retaining the information and not just memorizing it. Wish I had her for A&P 1 !

Dr. Sasway is a true faculty gem. The concepts are difficult, but if you put in the time, which should be 4-8hrs/week, you will not only memorize -- you will understand. This is a rarity in science ed. and you should be thanking her for that extra work. It gives you structure and helps you manage your time in A&P -- most teachers don't.

She knows her stuff, and is passionate about the subject. this class needs to be ur main focus if youre taking it. U will not be handed a good grade for showing up. U wont be coddled. Show up, pay attention, do the work. You will get the grade u deserve. If I was still at Suffolk, I would take her again because I know I would be getting quality.

Easy credit, easy A. She is very nice, and she will help you if needed but I doubt it cause its that easy. We only had a few homeworks and she makes you thoroughly answer the questions but its average. We talked about meditation, yoga, essential oils and stress levels.

Don't trust the negative reviews. She is truly a great and passionate Professor. Very knowledgeable and a good person. Although the class is difficult, the way she teaches set the foundation for me to graduate and now work and excel in the healthcare field. Does send a lot of seemingly condescending e-mails/notifications, but is very accessible by e-mail if you have questions or a problem. Wish I could take her for BIO, schedule just doesn't work out.

This class is difficult no matter the professor you have. I took ANP 1 and 2 with Prof. Sasway 3 years ago. I am RN now and I am so grateful for Prof. Sasway. She is full of knowledge. She will respect you if you pay attention to her and participate actively.

I took Prof. Sasway for College Seminar and I didn't find her difficult at all. The work is manageable and as long as you stay up to date and follow the instructions then you will get an easy A.
