He is a very great teacher explaining math, managing the class in a proffsional manner as the way it should be. We know that math can be a very tedious experience to learn, but with Horacio the expierence is better. I will really recommend this proffesor to take class with, you will be glad you took the class with him, The grades are good and fair

He is an outstanding professor. He really cares for his students and made sure that everyone understood the subjects taught during class. He makes lectures super entertaining and makes sure everyone passes. If I had to take this class with a different professor, I probably wouldn't have done so well. Best professor I have ever had.

The best math professor I have had in Miami Dade College so far. There are so many good things that I can say about him, but I only want to mention that he makes math look the easiest thing. Class with him is going to be an easy A if you study and make good use of what he teaches in the classroom.

His class is a breeze and he's very understanding. I took him for MGF1106 and loved it.

He's amazing. Teaches very well. All homework is in Pearson my lab. He gives 3 quizzes and one final that can replace a bad score on one of the quizzes. If you scored good on all quizzes you can choose not to take the final. Also, he doesn't obligate you to go but you always go because its such a fun class

Professor Salgado is really one of the best math teachers I have ever had and that is not an understatement! He is concise and goes step by step. He cares more about his students passing and understanding the material, than just getting to a specific chapter! Will be taking him again!

Hes such a caring professor, stay for his office hours as hes as always willing to help. Show up for class attendance is not mandatory but that way you understand how to do the lectures and pass his quizzes. Would definitely recommend to whoever struggles with math

Professor Salgado is one of the greatest math teachers tbh. I had him for 1033 and then for 1105. I intend to go on to the other math classes with him as well. He teaches clearly. If you don't pass with him, it's really because you didn't try hard enough. He only puts what he teaches on the test and does a review before the test, piece of cake.

He is the best math professor you could ever take. You gotta study for his tests, but he will definitely help you out. He is easy to reach during office hours. He is also caring and very understanding. I strongly recommend taking his math class.

Took him for Stats. He is a bit disorganized and goes off topic a lot, but he is very fair and tries to simplify the material for you. He is always willing to answer questions in and out of class. Study his reviews and you should be fine. Take him!

Attendance is not mandatory, but if you miss you will highly regret it and fall behind. I've been taking him since 1033 and he still is a great teacher! He is easy to follow. You do what you have to do and trust me you will pass!

If you're lazy and want to receive A without working for it, I think this professor isn't the best option for you. In the other side, if you're really interesting in learning and want to improve your math skills, then take him. Ive known Horacio for quite some semesters,and I KNOW he is a good teacher, he is one of the best in MDC period. I did have him during covid... The people that had bad things to say about him are being harsh, but there is a reason he doesnt teach online in the first place. He is just better in person and its not his fault. Be easy on him...

He has the ability to explain complex subjects in a simplified way, makes it very simple to understand and his lectures are never boring, hes funny. He gives a review to practice before the test, its up to you if want to do it or not. I had him when we switched to remote learning and he was responsive. Pay attention, do hw, study.

I've been knowing professor Salgado for the past 3 semesters. He's by far the best. He's extremely smart, caring, and HILARIOUS. I know many people complain about him because he does not give you an A unless you work for it. If you're an engineer, he's the perfect option for you.

I've had a great experience with him this fall! he's hilarious, so his classes are so much fun. he'll call you "homie" and joke around, but he's also great at explaining. he dumbs everything down for the class so its understandable. his test reviews are just like the exams. taking him again for calculus next semester.

Professor Salgado was one of the best professors I've taken at MDC. He is a funny laid-back guy, and may call you homie here and there. He cares about his students and always asks if we understand the material. 4 exams and an optional final that drops the lowest grade. I highly recommend taking him! :)

He's probably one of the only math professors who is willing to compromise with his students. Other math professors wouldn't care if you sink or swim in their classes. He gives many opportunities to help with your grades. If you attend in-person, he tries to make sure everyone understands the concepts.

Coming from a person that finds math difficult, take him. Professor Salgado explains complex concepts in simple steps making it easier for everyone to understand. Best professor at MDC

In his lectures he would explain everything step by step. He had quizzes after a few hw modules but if you practice you will get a good grade. optional final based off passed grade test. Great professor would take again.

I Hate math but this professor made me want to go to every class. The course alone is really hard if you are not paying attention, but prof. Salgado made lectures VERY clear and FUN. He would make a joke every 10 mins and keep the class engaged. Just be actually present. 4 online tests, 1 optional final. HW is on mymathlab. Take him :)

Prof Salgado is great! I always struggled in math , but with him I actually learned. Very great lecturer , and when he teaches he makes sure you understand it before he moves on. Homework is on pearson,and he teaches questions from the HW, so you can do it while in class also.Super funny and chill guy, 100% recommend him if you want to pass Stats.

Professor Horacio, is a great professor I learned so much from him. His class room energy is always fun and energetic he makes learning statistics fun. Highly recommend. Class based on 4 test optional final and online hw. non proctored.

I actually learned in this class! he is a great teacher and if u are honest with him and dont understand something he will explain it. hw on mymathlab and tests are very easy if you study a little. attendance is not mandatory but im honestly so sad for this class to end

Has good office hours and is accessible outside of class if you need help. Some people don't like him because he won't increase your grade, but he will help you, take him!

Pay attention to this class. Kind of easy if you stay up to date with assignments. He cracks some jokes, some funny some not, and always tries to keep his class engaged

He's a very good teacher

This class is super easy he is not that heavy on homework you only use Pearson and have as many attempts that you need to get a 100 on the work. The test are multiple choice pretty easy if you practice and he tries to make everybody understand the subject. He is also really nice and relaxed.

He is a very acceptable professor. Be aware his lectures are NOT enough to pass the class (at least you are very good at math). Lot of HW and that's 30% of your grade, and then 4 test and an optional final. Test are not that hard 10-12 questions. You need to study a lot by yourself.

Professor Salgado is pretty chill and not a bad teacher. His lectures make sense and are easy to understand and tests are 10-15 questions not too difficult. Very laid back and does not stress out the class.

Great professor who makes stats engaging. Use unstuck AI and the free textbook to supplement the lectures. Expect some in-person exams, but manageable with effort.

I took 1105 with Prof Salgado and it was the best decision, he is really nice and he actually was the one who helped me get the A because I had a low B, he is really nice yet the class is really difficult, but thats with any professor,he actually let you use your notes on every test, so make sure to take notes in class. Overall hes amaizing!

Didn't dread going into college algebra at 8:25am every other day. He's a funny teacher and not strict at all. Explains again if you need and offers to go to his office if you still dont understand. Has 4 test the whole semester but homework will help out your grade a lot! Definitely would take him again!

Prof. Salgado made this semester enjoyable. He's kind, patient, and always willing to help. He adjusts the pace for us and even moves exams back when needed. His open-note exams are a huge help. Even at 8:25 a.m., his jokes kept us engaged. A great professor—highly recommend!
