SOMEONE PLEASE RATE THIS GUY!
cute and radical geographer
VERY VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND! but gives tons of extra credit. very helpful!
Dr. Lee is a very nice man and extremely helpful! He can be hard to understand at times but reviewing his power point slides help a lot. He gives a ton of extra credit which makes his grading system awesome! He loves to make jokes and likes class participation. Show up and review for tests and quizes and you will make an A.
Prof Lee is a pretty cool guy. He wants the best fro his students and is willing to help you! His tests are kinda difficult, but if you read and pay attention in class there is no reason you should not get an A!
The class was super easy. He gives a lot of extra credit quizzes and the map quizzes are super easy. I am not a good writer and I received 100's on both of my papers. The map quizzes are so easy a middle school child could do them. I made a 80 on my mid-term and a 65 on my final and passed the class with an A. TAKE HIM!
two tests entire semester, including the final. go over powerpoints and that's it. 5 easy map quiz. have to get used to the accent but hes a good teacher and his class is easy but really boring.
He is an amazingly nice man and is extremely helpful with any kinds of questions you may have. Tests are hard and cover a ton of material at once, but if you attend class and get good grades on all of the papers and quizzes, you will make a good grade. also, his quizzes are so easy an elementary schooler could ace them.
Take this class!! Mr. Lee's accent is a little hard to understand at times but he will clarify if you ask. He is so nice and funny! Plus he's super adorable! If need any help in the lass he is more than willing to help you out. Overall, such an easy class!
He is very nice & accommodating. He curves tests easily. The map quizzes are very easy if you study. The 5 essays i had were all 100. If you attend class & show that you are trying he will curve your grade at the end of the year.
Great Prof. He has an accent, so if you can't handle it, don't take the class. Exams are easy if you pay attention and study the PPTs he posts online. Don't bother with the book, as he takes all test questions from the PPTs. Not too many outside of class assignments and TONS of extra credit.
Very easy class take him I suggest him to all my friends. Papers are very easy it should be 5 100s for you. Attend class as much as you can. You don't need the book i never even opened it all year. Great teacher and really cares about his students and their grades
Very great class...pay attention and study. Thats really all it takes. Get past the accent and don't be afraid to ask questions.
I paid attention in class, took notes, did the study guides and the tests were still hard. Don't bother with the book. Class is the most boring thing I've ever attended. People are either sleeping, texting, or playing on computers.
Do not buy/rent the book! I didn't open it once. Study the powerpoints, and take notes. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you attend most classes he will usually curve your final grade up to the next letter grade. The papers and map quizzes are easy points. I would recommend him for anyone looking for an easy GPA boost!
This is honestly one of my favorite professors of all time. He is very well educated, but very easy to understand (Despite what people say about the accent. (If you speak English, you'll understand him). He's pretty funny and a really cool guy. Take this class!!!
His accent keeps class interesting, his lectures can be boring at times but overall the class is quite simple. Come to class, take decent notes, and get an A. On day one when he says come to class and you will get an A, he is not lying.
Very kind and helpful teacher. Very knowledgeable. He isn't lying when he says he will bump you up a letter grade if you go to all the classes. The unit exams are tough, but everything else is fine. Hey Dr. Lee, I know you're reading this! Thanks for a fun class!
Awesome guy. He reviewed what was on the test a few days before the actual test. He is a little hard to understand but you adapt to his accent quickly. He wants you to succeed so he is not a GPA killer. Just pay attention in class and study and you will be fine.
He is an awesome professor! You'll love his class. He makes Geography interesting. Listen to lectures, take notes, and skim over your book and you'll do fine. Lee is very nice and helpful.
Dr. Lee is a nice guy and will certainly help if you ask. You have several tests, map quizzes and essays but they're not very difficult. Study your notes from class and the Powerpoints and you will do fine. DO NOT waste your money on the book, I got by just fine without it.
Professor Lee is a really intelligent and nice teacher. There are quizzes everyday over the lecture, but you can use your notes and they're pretty easy if you pay attention. There are two reflection papers over a couple of movies. Only a midterm and a final. Contrary to other reviews, his accent is not that difficult to understand. He's awesome.
Very nice teacher. He isn't hard to understand. Just pay attention, and study minimally and you will make an A. Daily quizzes, tons of extra credit , few papers which are really simple. He honestly cares about his students.
One of the best professors I have had over the course of my college career. I only took this class to fill an elective, but I am so glad I did. He really does care about students and their grades. Just show up, listen to lecture, and study the powerpoints for the tests. Book is not necessary. Great class Dr. Lee!
One of my favorite professors. He has interesting lectures, and the accent is not really hard to understand. He looks at attendance when calculating your final grade, so it's a good idea to go. Study for the map quizzes and actually do the papers, and 1101 will be one of the easiest classes you'll take!
It's difficult to understand his accent at first, but you will get used to it. Attendance is somewhat mandatory since he gives points for participation, but the questions are easy and you can use your notes. The 5 map quizzes and 2 tests are pretty easy and the tests come straight from the lecture powerpoints, so you don't need to buy the book.
If you have trouble understanding people with strong accents, do not take him! He is very nice and helpful and willing to work with students but his accent makes communication a little tough sometimes. Theres three exams (challenging),5 quizzes (easy), and five (really easy) essays. If you have great attendance, he will bump you up a letter grade!
Professor Lee was very sweet and understanding. I took Intro to geography and loved it. You can skip a couple classes and be fine, but I advise not to since he boosted my high B to an A for good attendance. Lots of memorization and vocabulary, but an easy grader for essays.
He is super clear in class, and if you don't understand something, all you have to do is ask and he will explain it in a different way for you. He has an accent, but after 1 maybe 2 classes you don't really notice. He is very accommodating by not REQUIRING the textbook, but it could help. The class is super easy, and require minimal studying if any
Still no idea what he is saying. Take 1101 if you can, geo1102 is harder. Write down extra things he says and things he writes on the board on the power points he gives you, print them out or use a computer. Five easy essay papers, mid 70 class average on all tests, he adds a curve. bumps you up on attendance. DON'T BUY THE BOOK.
He is a great professor! His class is really easy as long as you take notes. Study the powerpoints they are very helpful. You don't need the textbook. His essays are very easy (he's not a hard grader). He has an accent but after a few classes you get used to it. Easy A.
I took Intro to Geo with Dr. Hosuk during Maymester (14 classes). While the course was lecture heavy, he is a great teacher and made 3 hours go pretty fast! He doesn't take attendance, but going to class will get you some extra points and there are in class quizzes over the material almost every day. I wish I could take another course with him!
What a bro. Seriously this professor is the greatest. Helped me out big time with extra credit and I actually learned a lot in the class. He knows lectures are boring, so he asks for class input on how to make it interesting. He doesnt care if you show up, but he'll bump you up a letter grade if you never miss a class. He's in it to boost your GPA.
You could literally sleep through all of his classes and still get an A. This class is a real GPA saver. He gives a quiz every class through iclicker, but he rounds up all the grades to an A at the end. Will bump up your final grade a letter of you attend class
Love this class, easy A! Map quizzes are super easy, just study. Bumps your grade if you attend class. Easy grader on the two essays. His accent is different, but he's funny. Only tests are the midterm and final. Make sure to get an Iclicker
Such an easy A!! 5 map quizzes, 2 papers, and 2 tests. He's very clear and tells you exactly what's on the test beforehand. Does i clicker questions every class that will boost your grade. If you have good attendance he'll bump you a letter grade. Does have an accent but it's not that bad. Funny guy who really cares about helping your GPA
Has a slight accent but is easy to understand, attending class is mandatory because he does 5 iClicker questions every class which adds to your final grade. If you do the assignments and reading the class is an easy A.
Great professor! He's there's to help you boost your GPA. Very nice, funny, quick to the point and you have many opportunities for extra credit and the ability to raise your grade. He also bumps your grade up at the end of the semester if you don't miss any days in class! I highly recommend him!
Dr Lee is one of the best professors I have ever taken. He is tough at times, but is fair. He cares a lot about his students and is extremely helpful. He will tell you upfront you don't need to buy the book. He takes daily attendance. There are only 2 tests but lots of other grades. You have to have responsibility with his class.
his lecture was amazing!! i wish i could take him again!
He is a good professor, and give extra credit for tests. Nice person, easy to talk to him. Give you map quizzes. If you study, attend class, complete his essay, you will be fine get an A. Definitely will take his class again.
Awesome professor! A bit of an initial language barrier, but I got used to it by the 2nd week of school. Power-point based course- no need to buy a textbook. Heavy I-clicker questions (large chunk of grade). If you show up/study/write your papers, you'll do well. If you have good attendance, he'll bump your grade up. Great guy!
Hosuk was a great teacher. He has questions each class that go towards your grade, so attendance is important. Just 5 questions each class, a few map quizzes, two papers, and two exams. He's very open to explain the concepts and is forgiving if you say the wrong answer. If you have good attendance he'll bump your grade up a little.
I took a 1101 and it was amazing. Whoever says that his accent is annoying is a complete dumbass. Best teacher ever. Very helpful. Quizzes are easy and essays too. Exams are challenging but most of the questions are from the I-clicker questions that he gives. Overall, BEST TEACHER EVER.
Hosuk Lee is an awesome teacher. His class is super easy. After every class lecture he does "Iclicker questions". That's why you have to go to every class because he takes attendance. His accent is tough at first but it really isn't a problem when you get used to it. Do not need a textbook. Everything comes off the powerpoints which are online.
Dr. Lee is probably one of the easier professors I've had. All his ppt slides are posted on D2L and he really just goes off of those. I stopped taking notes about a week in and came out with an A. Just make sure to study the ppts before the tests, because the tests can be tricky, but their online tests in class so their not awful. I would recommend
I LOVE Doctor Lee! He is really passionate about what he is teaching and truly wants his students to enjoy the class and learning. However he is from South Korea and has a somewhat heavy accent, but after a couple days youll get used to it.
Want a SUPER easy course with little work & be able to earn an A for 3 whole credits? Take Dr. Lee. He is so kind, passionate about teaching, & just wants his students to do well. Taking him during May-mester & we only have 6 easy-A grades. Only 2 weeks & you get 3 credits! If I could take him for every class I would. TAKE HIM YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!
Graduating this sem. and took this class for an easy A. Turns out there are FIVE essay's & 1000 words each (going to feel like a thesis in the end), three test (difficult but online during class). He has I-clicker questions at the end of every class for attendance; counts as a test grade in the end. Map quizzes are easy if you study, total of 4.
Best Professor ever, so sweet and such an easy A. although attendance is mandatory because he uses iclicker grades for attendance and is a good part of your final grade
Dr. Lee is a GREAT prof!! Super knowledgeable and cares about his students doing well. His accent is a bit heavy but you quickly adapt to it. Plus he takes extra time to write out words that he may not be pronouncing correctly. He gives a very thorough review before tests and has built his own PPT's so that no book is required. Buy a used iClicker!
He's a great professor, but sometimes his tests are confusing. He's an easy grader on the papers and the map quizzes are easy. Not everything he wants you to know is on the powerpoint, so you have to pay attention in class
He is one of the best professors at UNG and his class has to be the easiest one I have ever taken. I highly recommend to take his class. I took him for human geography during a may-mester. There were 5 easy map quizzes, two essays, and a midterm & final. Make sure you buy an iClicker for his class
Lee is an excellent professor. There is a lot of content to learn and I-clicker questions after each lecture but as long as you listen, you'll get an A on the quizzes. There are two essays and 5 map quizzes that are relatively easy if you study. HIGHLY recommend taking this class!
Professor Lee is a kind man who does not grade too harshly. There are a total of five essays, but each is on a video and as long as you discuss the video as required, you will get a good grade. There are iClicker quizzes every class (easy) and map quizzes every so often. The tests are on computer, so bring a laptop to exams.
He was a really great professor! Attendance isnt mandatory but you need to be there to ensure you dont miss I-Clicker questions and lectures. His tests are hard and the study guides arent super clear, but he curved every single one. If you take good notes, attend class, and study, you can definitely get an A.
He is a very understanding teacher that will work with you as long as you talk with him and participate in class.
Professor Hosuk Lee is very lenient grader. Attendance is not mandatory, except for the occasional iclicker questions. You have five papers in total, and five map quizzes. He will not remind you of the due dates so you have to remember yourself. His finals are very hard but he gives extra credit if you do the work.
Dr. Hosuk Lee is a great professor. Great teacher and very fair. Would 10/10 recommend.
Took a short summer session so there was a lot of work compiled into a short amount of time. The last wk we had the final, world map quiz, and an essay paper. He has a lot of power point slides and thats where he gets the majority of his questions for the test. He was very nice and an extremely lenient grader. I would 100% recommend you take him.
Literally the sweetest and most understanding professor I have ever had. He truly cares about you and your GPA which is kind of a rare thing nowadays. Just show up to class and you're almost guaranteed to make an A. The map quizzes are fairly easy, but his midterm and final was a little harder than I expected it to be. 10/10 professor :)
Test are super hard and study guide is kinda irrelevant but if you got to class and pay attention you will get a good grade. Map quizzes are super easy just study. PAY ATTENTION TO SYLLABUS. Talk to him often to keep updated on grades. He is super nice and workable
Class was very entertaining, pay attention to the lectures he does, and study the powerpoints before the midterm and finals. There is an in-class quiz at the end of most classes that counts for a grade, so come to class for those.
DR. Lee is Amazing!! Take Dr. LEE if you need him. His tests are based on what we learn in class and his writing assignments are broad. Yes, it is an easy class that requires studying but Dr. lee also offers extra credit. He does has a strong accent but you will get used to it.
Professor Lee is not a hard professor. He allows you to miss class but if you are there for 95% of the semester he will bump you up a letter grade. He has two papers and he is a tough grader on those. Lectures are super long and sometimes very boring. Other than that he is an okay professor.
Easily one of the best professors ive ever taken. He is so kind and his lectures are actually very interesting. I see him all of the time at my place of work and he always says hello! I HIGHLY recommend taking him!! I will miss having him
Professor Lee is very enthusiastic in the classroom. He is very kind and seems to be very passionate about what he is teaching. He is extremely helpful and wants to make sure you succeed. He cares about his students and wants to make sure they do well. He was a wonderful teacher and he makes Geography exciting!
Super nice guy who isnt trying to mess up your GPA. He will round your grade up if you have good attendance. Get ready for map quizzes though on countries in different regions. Only 2 tests midterm and final and 5 map quizzes.
Professor Lee is probably the best professor I have here at UNG. There is virtually no way not to pass his class, he gives you all the opportunity to make a good grade. A majority of your grade will be based on your exams, but other than that the workload was not bad at all. If you have the chance to take him I would highly recommend it.
Dr. Lee is very nice and really cares about his students. He has a strong accent but you get used to it. His material was difficult to follow and he teaches very quickly! Be prepared to teach yourself a lot of the material. The tests are manageable but fairly difficult. Probably would not take again but he is a nice guy.
Dr. Lee has very informative but long lectures. He is very caring and will raise your grade as long as you attend class and do your work. He gives 5 papers all 1,000 word count. They have very open topics and he is an easy grader on them. The tests are very lecture heavy so study your notes and the powerpoint's and you'll be fine.
I swear to God the sun rises and sets in this man. He's an incredibly kind person who genuinely just wants to help you learn. His class is only as interesting as you make it. Talk to him. And his near illegible drawings on the board are hysterical. I can only sing his praises.
I love Prof. Lee so much you don't even understand. Passionate and dedicated to his work and explains everything well. Have to show up to class because the ppt isn't enough by itself. Actively participating makes it more fun for everyone. Pop quizzes at the end of each lesson, 5-7 questions usually, p easy if you pay attention. Take his class!!
One of the nicest people at this school. Will raise your grade for attending class regularly and is very engaging with his students. Interesting lectures; Exams are a little tricky, but not bad. Take him he is awesome.
Dr. Lee is a super nice professor. He was accommodating to me even when I did not have accommodations set up. If you struggle with memorization and pop quizzes you may struggle, but he is not the type of professor to let you fail. Put effort in and he will work with you. His lectures are really fun too, super cool guy.
He is The Ideal Professor. Accommodating and super kind, I wish he taught more classes. Fully considered a Geography minor bc of him. I could write an essay on how great he is and how much he enjoys what he does. I can only recommend him, he has no flaws. Labs are easy enough and he walks you through it, does everything he can to make sure you pass
This is my favorite professor by far. He is so kind and cares about his students and their grades. Pay attention to class and review before the test and you should be fine. His papers usually require a lot of time, however there are only two and they are on interesting topics.
YES YES YES!! take hosuk! love this man
Professor Lee is such a caring guy. He connects the content to real life in an interesting and meaningful way. On the first day he pulled up his reviews on RMP.. iconic haha. He is very funny and wants all of his students to succeed. His accent is pretty strong, but I can speak Korean, so it was understandable for me. I would recommend him 100%! :)
Very easy grader with very few out-of-class assignments. The few assignments he does have are papers, which are a bit time-consuming (1500 words), but are reaction papers to videos with no topic restrictions. Lecture-heavy, but they can be interesting and he tries his best to make geography engaging. Overall lovely prof who deserves the world.
Dr. Lee is a fantastic prof. Would definitely say this is an easy A class as long as you attend, take notes, and do well on the map quizzes which aren't very hard at all if you study for like an hour or two. The essays are easy; topics are broad so you can't really go wrong, just time consuming as you have to meet a 1500 word count.
Professor Lee is super chill and a funny guy. His class is not hard if you use your resources and write your papers. If you write a good title in your paper, you will get a good grade on it no matter the content. Great professor and a cool guy.
Really nice professor but he does have a thick accent so it can be difficult to understand him at times. There are two tests that can be difficult as they cover a lot of material, but he does provide a study guide. You are required to buy a I-Clicker for the class which can be expensive. Overall, I would say he is good, and I would take him again.
He is an amazing professor and really cares about our success. He rounded my grade up quite a bit in order for me to get an A simply because I tried, asked questions, and always came to class. I 100% recommend taking any of his classes.
His lectures were long but not difficult to follow. You have two papers in the course and they were easy A's. For "pop quizzes" he uses an I-clicker that are over the lecture from that day, they also show up on the midterm and final. He also has map quizzes that were easy 100's. The midterm and finals can be hard but manageable if you study.
Professor Lee is the BEST professor to take if you need this class. He is beyond chill and loves talking about his subject. There are 2 papers and 2 exams along with some map quizzes. If you study ahead, you will do just fine in this class. His accent is kinda thick to understand. Other than that, TAKE HIM if you can!
I like him, he's funny and he tried to make real world connections to better understand material. You do have to buy iClicker but it is a grade booster. he's lecture heavy but everything is on D2L. Tests and quizzes are not difficult if you prepare ahead of time. I would take him again if I was majoring in his subject.
honestly this class was great, i just never really payed attention
He was a very easy grader. I only had 3 papers to write for the whole semester and he gave me A's on all of them, didn't mind a rushed paper. The tests did cover quite a bit of the lecture slide shows, which were a little hard, but overall an easy class.
He is so funny and caring of his students. His workload is extremely light and when there is work he is a very easy grader. Not enough nice things to say about him.
He is probably the best teacher I've ever had, and I'm even debating on changing my major to what he is based on. Regardless, the workload is very easy, and the teacher loves to teach. He grades very easily as well. He does have an accent, but it is not hard to understand him at all, and it even makes it easier to remember stuff. Love this guy!
Very easy tests.
very kind man. loves what he does. Easy class, and he works with you through whatever. 100% would take again.
Quiz at the end of every class. 2 exams and 2 papers. He gives no homework, no practices tests/exercises and doesnt make the in class quizzes avaiable to students. All memorization. Most charts/tables are outdated, being from 20 to 5 years ago. A lot of wrong teaching about certain european and latin america countries. I would not take him again.
Professor Lee was a pretty cool dude. Sometimes his accent was a little hard to understand, but went out of his way to help, he was also pretty funny. His class was very easy, and attendance isn't mandatory. His class has a few papers, tests, and quizzes, but all of those are very easy to get good grade on.
Professor Lee was awesome! He is hilarious and always wants his students to succeed. tests and map quizzes not too difficult but do require studying. At the end of classes he does I-clicker questions (you have to buy one on your own) which are worth a small amount of credit but add up, so I would advise going to every class.
Very easy class. Attentdance counted through iClicker questions every class period. Pay attention in class and you will do well on questions. Funny prof and two papers which are very easy over provided videos. Mid-term and final are very easy, not proctored.
I highly recommend Professor Lee. His lectures were easy to understand, and he isn't a super harsh grader, which is nice. He does map quizzes, but as long as you study, you're set. The exams were the most difficult thing, but that's partially my fault because I didn't put as much effort into studying them.
I took professor Lee for GEOG 2010 and I would recommend him. The course is very lecture/PPT heavy, but if you pay attention and take notes you should have no issues. One group presentation towards the end of semester, it wasn't very difficult. I found the course content to be quite interesting, but you may not if you don't really care about Asia.
Nice professor! he doesn't care but just make sure you come to class and participate with I clicker. Study for his tests but they are all online in class.
Class was overall easy. The hardest part was the midterm and final, both proctored with a webcam, with 50 MC questions. 2 essays and a research proposal, all around 1500 words - no strict topics and a very generous grader. 5 map quizzes and 5 100-word discussion posts, all free 100s if completed. Overall, good class for an elective credit.
the class is easy in general, with 5 map quizzes, i-clicker questions at the end of class to see if you paid attention, and two essays that he doesn't grade harshly on at all. i will say the class gets harder as the semester goes on but that is mainly for the midterm and final. they are difficult but make sure to take notes and you'll be fine.
Super super easy to get an A in his class, really nice when it comes to grading the essays also.
I only have positive things to say about Professor Lee, Whenever I was confused on an assignment he'd give me a very quick response despite his busy schedule. He made his grading criteria very clear and the class went exactly how an Intro class should be. I highly recommend taking Professor Lee.
I took this class online so I don't know a whole lot about the professor. The semester length class had 2 papers, 5 quizzes, a midterm, and a final, thats it. Lock in on those and you'll do great. The quizzes are EASY. He grades essays very leniently, you'll get an A if you turn it in. He even curved the midterm because majority did bad on it lol.
