Houston isn't too bad. The course on the other hand is. It is a lot of work for the group project, and you are forced to participate in the final competition if your group is chosen. The test wasn't so bad. The assignments were annoying. A lot of reading and content for nothing.

Houston Peschl is an innovator that you don't always have the pleasure of meeting so easily in the form of a professor at UofC. He is highly accomplished and humbly inspires his students to do the same. This was an intro course to a minor. I considered dropping the class due to my busy schedule, but he made the class very interesting. Recommend!

Group project is a pain, especially because he assigns them with a survey that you have to pay $10 just to take. The whole course is poorly designed, you're forced to BS a lot of the stuff for your group project. The midterm was completely different to what he told us (its all memorization, terms and definitions, with just 1 case study). Not fun.

Awful class. Although this is supposed to be an INTRO to entrepreneurship, the amount of work and caliber of work expected is closer to a fourth year concentration course. Houston does not teach, he just 'inspires' and expects you to know what is going on. The very large group project can make or break your grade, and grading is subjective.

This is a tough review to write, because I feel like Houston is actually a really cool person, but this class is just terrible. His philosophy is good, and I support that he tries to grade student on skill sets that aren't usually tested within Haskayne, but he has no idea how to organize a course. Unfortunately one of the worst classes I've had.

He is passionate about the course however it is a huge work load. He expects a lot from you even though most people aren't going to pursue their business pitch. The grading is subjective as to whether he likes your idea or not, so I suggest talking to him and seeking input. He gives good advice and is always looking for ways to better the course.

Different structure! Does require a lot of work outside of class but teaches you imp skills. Content is not hard as you use every concept in your project and worksheets. Attend class as class activities help understand the concept. Definitely had fun! helped me become more confident! TIP: do the worksheets! They make life easier!! Take Houston!

Houston was a great prof, really cared about his students and was supportive. The course on the other hand wasn't the greatest, it required a lot of work outside of the class and the marking for the assignments was really based on which TA you had. Tutorials were a waste of time, the ENTI website is poorly organized.

Most fuddu class Ive ever taken. Pancho very biased and If ur not creative, then tough luck. This course shouldnt be taught, as it is very unfair and he should be alot more clear with what he expects from us and not tell us until after we submit our assignments. The idea of entrepreneurship sounds fun until you take this course.

I am sorry but if you dont learn what he is teaching then your gonna have a tough job search, all the firms emphasize what he is talking about. Advice: dont be that annoying person who only likes a course if it is an easy A. FACT

Easily the most useless class at the university. Course structure is extremely frustrating because their are few graded assignments that are weighted heavily. Midterm is memorize and dump. Assignments are subjective to TA. Didn't come out of this course with more knowledge than when I went in.

Houston is an overall great guy, and up to this point my favorite university professor I've ever had. He genuinely cares about his students and is very honest. The only downfall is that the class itself is very frustrating. Tons of homework, group work, and presentations. All in all though, very personable guy, and great prof.

Houston is a great prof who really cares about his students and their success, he gives great feedback. The class is tough, you will need to put in many hours per week if you want a great mark. No textbook needed which is good, randomized group project for the majority of the class, life will be easier if you're lucky and get a good group.

I did this course online, on top of zoom lectures and tutorials there was worksheets, videos, readings, group meetings etc. He is an amazing prof and is very engaging, the course work is just very heavy. Houston's a good prof, pretty encouraging and teaches to the best of his ability. I put him down a mark bc the class is structured in such a way that I felt like he could have adjusted his teaching methods a bit to suit it. First half of sem is all individual (2 papers), second half is all group (present+pitch), plus one last individual paper.

Houston did a good job teaching in an online environment. Was always encouraging and gave good feedback to help us do good. Graded reasonably. The class is the most useless class in Haskayne. The TAs he picks are unqualified people who are biased and extremely hard to get a good mark. An excellent essay in this class receives a 75%. Houston lectures are not bad but way too many worksheets. I think this class needs to be removed from the program.

This guy loves the sound of his own voice. He does not even grade your work, as the TA's do all of the grading. The grading in this class is also awful, as your mark depends entirely on if your TA is a fair marker or not. The TAs are also unqualified to be grading, as they are all previous students of the class. Just awful, 0/5.

I loved Houston's class. My one complaint is the TA's who mark your assignments. You either get marked really easy if you get a good TA or one who is insanely difficult (you'd think they'd be more empathetic since they're students too but no). Houston was really sweet as a prof in general and I enjoyed his lectures. Love the prof, hate the TA's.
