great professor. Easy class. 3 open book test and a 5 page paper with oral presentation. Would recomend him to everyone. Super nice and easy going. Take his class...you will not regret it.

Great Professor...Very easing going! Good personality. Explains everything really well. More importantly,easy to work with. Test are all openbook. So far this class has been one of my favorites here at fccj. If you don't know much about politics and u want 2 increase your knowledge, this class is the best! Take him! You won't regret it!

Great class, great professor. Attendance essentially is mandatory, but it should be. I actually learned a lot! Go in with an open mind, put forth a little bit of effort and you will not only do fine, but enjoy the class.

Excellent teacher! If you don't get an A out of this class it's your own fault. Had little interest or knowledge in politics prior to this class but Prof. Brown makes it interesting and keeps your attention throughout!

Professor Brown is a great. As long as you come to class and do the practice tests and speak you opinion in class you will get and A. His teats are open book. Three 50 question tests and final is 25 questions.

Professor was great! 4 openbook tests, 1 was only 25 questions and all the others are 50. Most of the time he gave us the page numbers the answers were on. You have to do 1 powerpoint presentation with a 5 page essay that is easy because you can do it on whatever you want, does not have to be govt related. And you have a potluck last day

Professor Brown is very laid back and helpful. The syllabus he hands out on the first day spells out his class perfectly. 4 tests, 5 discussions, 1 paper, and show up. You can get an A easily. He wants you to succeed. He is a little biased though, but is there a such thing as a government class that is not? Class would not be interesting otherwise.

AWESOME professor. Fun class every single time i attend. Have to go to class in order to make an A, nice guy and would do anything to help his student learn.

This is a clear and consise class. Its simple to recieve an A, do your work and show up for class. He keeps the class interesting and upbeat. Take this class with adults who have manners as you do a powerpoint presentation along with the end-of-term paper. It is insulting when the class decides to be disrespectful and the professor doesn't stop it.

Great professor. Everything is clear and concise. The way that he teaches makes everyone interested. HIGHLY recommend. Just show up and pay attention and you will be fine. Fun class.

American Federal Government was a great class to take with Prof. Brown! He kept the class so interesting.

Great teacher!! I knew VERY little about gov't before I took this class and now I feel I can hold my own in most political conversations. Class was very easy and straightforward. Interesting and fun! Not much work. Discussion board and quizzes are super easy! TAKE HIM! EASY A and you actually learn something.

Take him! Open book tests. 2 extra credit quizzes (ex: what would you do if you were president). NO final. Be there for class he doesn't like it when people don't show up. 1 paper/power point presentation due towards end of semester. Take him, its actually interesting.

AWESOME!! I hate American Government and was not looking forward to this class, but after attending, I wish he taugh more classes. He is VERY down to earth. VERY nice guy! He LOVES open debates and is very goofy. Laid back class. Tests cover 4 chapters per but are open book. Cant say enough! Take him if you can!!!

He is GREAT! Funny, laid back, makes gov't easy to understand. Fun class! As long as you do your discussions and quizzes, you should be fine on the tests. I knew nothing about gov't and made an A in his class.

If you can open a book and read, you can score 100 on all of his tests. and get a perfect for the class. It just takes a little extra effort if you don't understand Political Science. He is down to earth, will work with students. Allows you to excel.

Mr. Brown was awesome...he turned what could have been a super boring 3 or 4 hours long class into, fun... he is just a laid back, nice guy. I felt bad because it was an SLS class, we had alot of immature idiots in our class and Mr. brown handled it as best he could so the rest of us didn't suffer from it. Thanks Mr. Brown!

Mr.Brown is the best teacher at FCCJ! Even though it was a SLS class he made it the best SLS class there is at FCCJ.I wish he taught more classes!!

Prof. Brown is one of my fav. instructors @ FSCJ! He was helpful, understanding, and entertaining! If you need an easy A or fast class to boast GPA...TAKE PROF. HOWARD BROWN! Hope i can take another class that he teaches!!!

Mr. Brown was great! He's very helpful. He'll do almost anything to help you pass. He really wants you to make it. If you need help, just ask.

This was a great interactive class and I actually walked out everyday with knowledge and insight into people and political science. Great job and Great Professor!

this class is great and fun. Proffessor Brown is a wonderful teacher. He makes the class fun and the topics easy to understand. All test are all open book. He does require you to use mypoliscilab online, but it isnt hard. I would reccomend this class and this teacher. A must take.

i actually enjoyed coming to this class. we had good class discussions and it really kept me up to date with current events. he's a very laid back professor. you learn a lot without even realizing it. i got an "A." by the way, the tests are open book ;)

Professor Brown is very laid back,he uses up to date political events, and yes his in class test are open book with review prior to test. final test is a take home test 20 questions. last day of class he likes to bring in food. Overall interesting class.

I loved coming to his classes because we learned alot about college success and he helped me out and I thank him for that.

I was out of school for 5 years so returning was a little intimidating until I met Mr Brown.I made an A+.I did all extra credit assignments only because I enjoyed it so much.This class taught me alot and provided me with many resourses in life & college.Make sure you come to class,read your book & you should make As on all quizes.Awesome Teacher!!!

If you have been out of school for a while you need to have have him for your sls or poly sci teacher this man cares. He will challenge your to learn.

Mr. Brown is a great professor! He is very encouraging and starts the day of with words of encouragement about success. He gives the class the floor with discussions & being in the world we are in--very diverse--he does not sugar coat anything. Those previous comments must be from individuals who can dish out opinions and remarks but can't take em!

Professor Brown is a great teacher. As long as you do the assigned work it's an easy A. He really cares about your education and your success, but it's up to YOU to succeed.Not a lot of homework but does require Mypolisciencelab. Highly recommended. Professor brown CAN speak English just fine!

Mr. Brown is a good guy. Its an easy class. I can't really understand how you could make anything other than an A. He's not liberal, I am. I don't think he's liberal enough. Just do what he says, I had an A before we even took the final. If you can't pass this class you shouldn't be aloud to get out of bed.

Those who say Brown are close-minded is incorrect.He presented facts to us and let us decide our own opinions.HE NEVER FORCED HIS OPINION ON US.The work was simple, you should read the book and do the work.It's a laid back course with a laid back teacher, open book/note test. I learned alot, very insightful and I would take it again if possible.

Pretty easy class, Mypolisci lab is the only real work, open book test/quiz, easy essay only 250 words. He's a big, jolly guy who knows his stuff.

Very easy! Attendance is required and is a major part of your grade. Quizzes and tests are easy, just make sure you attend the class every day. Especially if you are going to miss a class, notify him and he may excuse you.

BEST professor ever! He makes you want to come to class. He is super nice and makes class really fun! He makes you want to engage in the class discussions. Super easy class! Just make sure you communicate with him especially when you can't make it to a class. And also don't come into class late. But that's common sense stuff every teacher expects

Very verbal class but good professor

FSCJ is lucky to have a professor like Mr. Brown. He truly wants you to succeed. You must make an effort and do your assignments-your success is up to you, as it should be. It's very possible to earn an A. I took his class online. Mypoliscilab activities take time, but aren't hard. DB's/2 papers. He's happy to clarify if q's. Highly recommend him!

This class was extremely easy. Do the quiz's on MyLab and listen in class and you will get an A. Class discussion is pretty liberal and driven in one way by the professor, but it was enjoyable to counter when given the opportunity.

Awesome professor! Lots of extra credit. One team project. One 500 word essay on your subject. 3 take home exams. Short 8 weeks with 17 chapters. 10 discussions. 10 blogs. His lectures were bomb and you will enjoy them. I always wanted to hear what he had to say about this government so I never missed a class. TAKE HIM! Easy A

Professor Brown, Professor Brown. This man talks to himself and will ask you to look stuff up on "yo fancy iPhone" which honestly I find hysterical. If you need to get a government class out of the way TAKE THIS CLASS, do the work and you WILL PASS WITH AN A! Tests are take home and all info can be found under the course content tab. Crtl+F and go!

Prof. Brown is a good teacher that shows a lot of video to help reference the class material. As long as you do all of the assignment and quiz you will pass the class.

It was a fun class. 3 Multiple Choice Tests, 11 Discussions, 11 Blogs and a group project. I wish we had spent less time on the group project. Lots of extra credit options.

I took this class for the summer in a 8 week course. If you complete the work he will give you a good grade. The blogs and discussions were useful and it really helped me learn the subject for government policies. Easy A if your willing to put in a little of work and effort.

There is a lot of work packed into a short 8 weeks. Bottom line do the work, don't fall behind. There are 3 or 4 test. You will need the book. 1 easy and a group project. There is extra credit. It's not a hard class, keep up with the work and you'll be fine.

Several EC opportunities, posts notes/exam questions for 12 chapters, a team project (pretty easy if everyone does their job), a SHORT essay (500 words), 11 DBs, 3 exams (use your book and his notes!). Easy A if you put some effort in your assignments.

Great professor! Very clear grading criteria and syllabus. He offers a few easy extra credit opportunities as well. There were 11 discussions, 11 summary blogs, a 500 word essay, 3 multiple choice/true-false exams, and a team project. Easy A, if you do the work.

Simply put, easy A if you do the work. Lots of extra credit and Professor Brown is easy to deal with. I definitely recommend it.

Prof Brown is a great choice. Military vet, super cool guy. Cares about his students and wants you to actually learn. If you even sort of act like you care, he will do everything he can to help you. Extra credit, holding assignments open, etc. No curve balls. Show up, do the work and you're going to be just fine; you might learn something too!

I really enjoyed Professor Brown's class. He gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Anytime I emailed him, he always responded very quickly. We followed the syllabus exactly as it was outlined. He is very lenient with his students. Truly a nice guy too! Great professor - I highly recommend him!

Great Professor! I took the 6 week class over the summer. There was a lot of work because there was a lot to cover in 6 weeks. I work full-time and I was able to keep up. He offers a lot of extra credit and I learned a lot. All work including exams were online. I would definitely take this class again.

I really enjoyed taking this class. Professor Brown is a great teacher, and he truly cares about his students and the material he is presenting! I would gladly take more classes of his- I learned so much!!! He is very funny as well as knowledgeable.

This class is an easy "A"! There is a group project during this course. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities for students to increase their grade.

Has a series of Blogs on Blackboard that he uses. The usual post a paragraph and respond to 2 other people. Pretty simple but the material is mind blowing.

I took professor Brown for his A7 course and he is awesome! Gives lots of extra credit to his students. 3 tests ,11 discussions , 1 group project. This professor goes far and beyond in explaining the improvements for his course will definitely take his course again.

The best professor I have taken in 3 years. He is clear on what he expects, quizzes are easy if you read the chapter. He responds quickly to emails. I absolutely would take him again.

Great professor. Took class online and provided syllabus and all assignments at beginning of class so you can stay ahead of you like. Good feedback. If you participate and do the work you will pass. Group project very good and if you put teamwork you will pass. He also offers multiple extra credit assignments that are simple. Overall great class.

2-3 discussions and 2-3 summary blogs with a response to two students on each that are due each week. Two exams, a final, an essay and a group project. Lots of extra credit. He gives you everything you need to pass as long as you put the work in for the discussions. EASY A!! I wrote my discussion ideas out once BB opened make it so much easier!

Prof. Brown was an amazing professor. He was very passionate about certain lessons. Being former Navy also helped give a better insight on things. Overall a really cool guy. Textbook isn't needed but he does allow you to use it on the test so keep that in mind. I recommend this professor.

I took this class online. He is very helpful and I learned a lot! He does give several extra credit projects. We did have a group paper, several discussions and a lot of reading. As long as you do your work and turn your papers in on time you will be great.

Very nice teacher and Im very glad I took this class for my history requirement.

A few discussions, 2 essays, and a group project. There is quite a bit of writing in this class but this professor is a very easy grader. Easy A!

There is one group project that is the final for this class. There is usually 1-3 assignments each week that consist of a discussion, and/or a short 3-5 page very easy paper, and a quiz. I highly suggest his class. You can spend 2 hours on this class of the whole week and pass with an A. There are no proctored exams.

Amazing teacher, packs all information in short meetings, grading criteria is easy and clear. Most worthwhile online class I've taken.

Laid back and genuine about teaching, he is very knowledgeable in this subject, ex Navy so he has great stories and shows good videos that draw your attention and informational. Professor Brown is THE BEST ! He has me reevaluating my major because his class was so interesting. I learned so much! He was very direct, his lectures were amazing, everything was clear and straight to the point. I cannot rave enough about him. Great teacher. If you handle your business you'll succeed because he will set you up for success.

Constructs really interesting lectures about the states of different governments. Professor Brown spaces work out really well so you have enough time to get assignments finished. I completed 3 papers and 1 group project, but the assignments are fairly simple. If you miss an assignment, he's also very lenient as long as you communicate.

He is the greatest! Prof Brown is very engaging with all of his students and when he sees that you put effort into the class genuinely then you won't be left behind. He cares for his students and has a very great sense of humor along with the intensity of the class! I would take his class again times 100! I hope this helped you all!

This is the best professor ive had. I did the 7week; 1 discussion and quiz due every week. He is an easy grader and responds to emails and grades freaky fast. The only aspect I didnt like is that there was a collaboration for this online class but it ended up being fine, he was understanding of any problems I had and I got a 100%. Highly recommend!

Very easy grader. If you did it, you got a 100. There was a couple 5 pagers though, be ready to write. Though the essays were laid out and easy to write. He also was very quick to respond to emails and he grades very fast. 100 percent recommend!

Professor Brown's POS2041 class is a breeze. With minimal assignments and easy grading, you can snag an A with minimal effort. Unstuck AI was a game-changer for my study prep!

There was SO much reading and writing. There was an average of 1-2 discussion questions (with necessary responses to each other) and 1-2 reflection questions; we were easily writing 6-12 paragraphs a week pertaining to the textbook material. I am a hands-on visual learner, so I do wish there were more resources than just an online textbook.
