He puts the notes on the internet, doesn't take roll, easy tests!

The man is awesome. Funny, easy, very straightforward, lecture notes are on-line (web assisted course), usually 2 or 3 quizzes per unit...but they're bonus points for the test!:) Very interesting!!

Gives you good study guides, very easy going guy.

Very nice guy, and a good teacher to boot. My only knock against the course was the biology section near the end. It seemed like there was simply too much to swallow at one time. Nevertheless, very nice guy, doesn't talk down to students like other profs.

class is fairly easy, good teacher regardless. hes helpful, acutally gives you exactly what is on the tests.

The professor is cool guy. Class is just a lecture with powerpoints. Basically term memorization, etc.

he is a great guy and passionate, but this class requires alot of time studying his test questions are very detailed and the wording can be tricky, this a moderately hard class I was fooled thinking it was going to be easy by the ratings on this site

This teacher is very straightforward. You don't have to be a "science person" if you bother to show up and you spend enough time studying.

Easy class. If you fail it's cause you didn't go. Tests are not hard, they just require average time studying. He gives tons of EC on quizes that don't effect your grade adversely if you do bad or don't do at all. Got a borderline C (almost D) on test, and was bumped up to a B b/c of quiz points.

I really enjoyed Geology. I had no intentions of taking the class, but once I got in it, I loved it. His tests are easy if you study a little. They are also hillarious!

Dr. Fischer is one of those professor whose enthusiam exudes from his pores. He can make rocks into living entities if you don't watch out. His tests have some hilarious anticdotes to lighten the mood. He even had a couple of fun extra credit field trips in the summer course. Not that hard at all.

This was a great course. Be in class, take good notes, study, and it will be worth the effort. He is a good instructor teaching an interesting subject.

I took this class as a web class. Dr Fischer was the most awesome teacher though. If I had any questions, I emailed him and had a response w/in 12 hrs...given the fact that he has so many students and I had so many questions, he earned my respect...I highly recommend this class over the web!!

i took him for earth science. this guy is so fasinated with rocks and how they work. it's his life. he makes the class fun and explains everything well. u don't need to buy a book he lets you print all the notes online. term paper is a creative writing paper. tests are passable if you study a lil

Great teacher, easy to get along with. The tests are hard though, you really have to study to make a good grade. He doesnt make you buy a book, u just gt the notes off blackboard. Would recommend to a serious student unlike myself

Who knew rocks could be so interesting? Dr. Fischer is an excellent instructor that makes the class fun and interesting. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, the tests are easy, all you have to do is pay attention in his class, and this is not hard at all. The Gordon Rule assignment has to be experienced to be believed.

He is a great teacher!! He makes learning about rocks fun and I HATE science. He has lots a notes that he goes over but the test are right out the notes

I found his class pretty interesting. He was very helpful and always available to help each student. You can definitely tell he enjoys his job and what he is teacher. I would recommend him.

Tough teacher to take during the summer, but he makes the class so much fun. He loves what he teaches and makes it very interesting. He really knows his stuff. He also puts everything on Blackboard and is very organized!

he is very funny, cute, and super sarcastic. he applied a lot of what we learn to our daily life, inetersting. i got a little wise after took his class, but i quit sushi.

I liked Fischer.

He is a great teacher. Knows exactly what he's talkin about and explains it well. Papers were very easy (3 of them 350wds each) All tests were multiple choice. Attendance not required. Notes come off of Blackboard- all of them. He just explains them and focuses on certain parts in class. Cancels class occasionally. Has fun with the class-take him

EXCELLENT TEACHER! I would reccomend Dr. Fischer to anyone, anyday. Really loves what he teaches, and it's obvious.

this class is so easy if you take the time to study the notes before a test. 4 total tests and the final exam. all the answers that you get right on the quizzes count as extra credit on the test that relates to the quiz. 3 writing assignments. he isn't strict on attendance and you really don't have to go if you review your notes on your own...

He made the class interesting since he obviously knows his stuff, but I thought his tests were really hard. I got an A in his class, but that was only because I studied my butt off, and because of the extra credit quizzes he gives that add up to like 10 points to each test, so if you take him, make sure you go to class every day if you want an A!!

If you want to pass, go to class every day. Even though he gives you a CD with all of the notes on it, you need to go to class to understand everything. He gives extra credit quizzes every few classes that count towards your test grade so it helps but many of the test questions are not in the notes, they are only covered in class.

i loved Dr. Fischer! He is very funny and makes class very interesting. you don't have to go to evey class but it helped alot. he loves to answer questions and makes sicence fun!

He is a very cool teacher, and he will make you laugh. He really gets into the subject and his enthusiasm will keep you interested. You don't always have to go to class because he gives you all of the notes, but it helps...and it's fun. It is hard at times because he covers a lot of information.

WEll...Every quiz he gives will go towards extra credit points but his tests are tricky. Very detailed and the test questions come from his lectures not just from the notes. The goodnews is you dont have to buy the textbook b/c we use the notes he gives us. Plenty of Extra credit so I would strongly suggest.

Okay, First of all he is not a bad teacher, he is very easy to be EXACT. I mean think about it, he puts his ENTIRE lecture notes on the web, uses student questions for his test & has test reviews online, that basically are the test. If you can't read and listen in class then you need to get out of college. You can email him and he actually replies!

He is not so hard, but he does cover a lot of material. The key to his class is keep up!! You can't let things slide until the last minute. That is why he gives so many quizzes, and wow does that force you to study because the reward is great--extra points on your test. He is very enthusiastic and will explain anything as manhy times as needed.

The coolest and best professor I have ever had when I was at TCC. Go to class and study for tests. It was an easy A and the guy actually makes some funny jokes. Pretty cool dude.

really knows his rocks. the class isnt hard if you attend regularly. he doesnt use a book. he gives you an outlined packet of notes you print off the internet and bring to class. he then lectures on the notes and tells you what will be on the test. lots of chances for extra credit on every quiz.

This guy is great, and he gives so much good info. In addition, he saves you about 80 bucks by providing a handout. His tests are pretty hard, but lots of e.c.. Go to class, take good notes, and study. You know, college stuff : )

Great Teacher, He's spacey but not in a bad way. Connects with the students, offers a ton of help, the course material can get tough at times but he makes sure that you know the material.

This class can just become boaring. It's in the SMA so it's a lecture hall. Those who go to the class do better, in fact it's really hard to even get a C if you don't go. I would opt for a smaller class where the test aren't so hard. This class can sometimes become overwhelming

Best teacher. He's attentive and enthusiastic. He'll bend over backwards to make sure you understand what's happening, and he genuinely cares about his students' well being. You can go to him for anything, even something not related to science. He's an amazing teacher, and am even more amazing human being. He will be missed greatly.

Very Interesting Class To Say The Least. Missing One Day Of This Class Will Set You Back. Make Sure That You Study For The Test Everyday To Make It Easier For Yourself. Quizzes Are Extra Credit Towards Tests And Are Given The Day Before Test. STUDY STUDY STUDY, And You Will Be Fine.

Very good teacher, uses his own material, so you don't need to buy the book. If you go to class and follow the notes you'll do fine in this class. I didn't go that often and didn't study and got a C easily. Should be an easy A if you attend class.

Took the course online and is difficult. I reccommend completing all of the study questions provided. Do not procrastinate with this material. Professor is willing to help and promtly responds to emails. Only tests...no homework or extra credit!

You have to be an idiot not to pass this class. He gives you a study guide and every single question on the study guide is the exact one on the exam. It took me ten minutes for each exam. The people who failed this class put no effort into it obviously.

Dr. Fischer is an amazing professor! He wrote his own book for this class. He is willing to help you if you have questions. You need to read the units, do the Discussion Board Posts and do the Study Guide questions. The study guide questions will help you study for exams. He is encouraging when you need it. He is through and fair.
