Very detailed and clear. Explains everything well and writes everything on the board--neatly. Lots of good handouts. A lot of quizzes, but they were very helpful in reinforcing material. Sorry he won't be teaching Math105...I would take him again.
Completely agree with the above poster. VERY clear explains things, GREAT teacher. But if your expecting an easy A, look elsewhere. Go to the lectures, do the homework, you'll not only get an A but probably ace the next course too; very thorough teacher.
TEACHES AT A FAST PACE, BUT IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR HELP. NOT AN EASY A.
He is a great teacher and wants to see his students do well. He makes math not so dry and boring. Passing the class is easy if you take complete notes and do the homework. He tests a lot from his notes. I advise not missing class. Can be an easy A with effort.
Fantastic teacher. I have been very nervous about taking math again after all these years, and he really understands how to teach and help his students do well in his class. He is fun and makes learning math almost fun! The tests are great because they reinforce the material so you don't forget.
good teacher
This is one teacher that took the anxiety out of math into encouraging me to want to learn more. The key to this class is taking notes and doing the homework assignments. The key to this class is all notes that you take will be on the test. He is one to go back and explain if you dont understand it.
Nice guy, he is happy to work with you. This class can go fast and if you have trouble with math you may not be able to keep up.Comming to class is an option but, if you don't come you will never be able to catch up... so go to class!
This teacher is awsome he explains everything and if youdon't understand he will go back and make you understand until you get the problem. I would definately recommend him to anybody who needs to take 210
Great instructor. He is fair and very good at explaning. There is a fair amount of homework but if you attend all the classes, take good notes and do all of the homework you will do fine. Mr. Rudolf is a great instructor if you have math anxiety, he is very helpful.
Mr Rudolph is a great math teacher. If he was teaching 112. I would take him again because I learned a lot from him.
Mr. Rudolph is great - clear, concise and runs at a good pace. I recommend this class (and professor) for anyone who at any time avoided math because they didn't "get it"!
Great teacher. Really knows the materail and makes sure the students know it too. Very good on reviews before the test/quiz. Highly recomended.
Definitely one of the best teachers I have ever had. Clear, helpful, organized, and easy! He isn't teaching math105 or I would take it with him in a second!
very organized
Best math teacher at Deanza, and best math teacher I have ever had. very organized and helpful!
Had him for Math-101 in Fall 2004; great teacher; very helpful; a little cynical in an interesting way; can go fast but WILL SLOW DOWN if you need him to. I would readily sign up for any class with him; he may come across as a little boring but he is very reliable. I got an A with him and his help.
This was the best math teacher I've ever had! I have a learning disability and hate math, so I didn't think I could pass this class. With him I did. He writes clear directions on the board showing you how to do problems step by step. Just show that you're trying and you'll pass!
What a God send! I was math-phobic, not anymore. Always answers email, is in the office when he is suppose to be. Overall terrific!
He's a very nice professor. He taught us how to apply borig math concepts on daily life practices. He mafe me feel math is not just remote theories, but part of our lives.
really good teacher
He is a good teacher seriously! If you do not comprehend math easily, then he is the teacher to take. He will go step by step on teaching you how math functions and problems get solved in a simple, yet efficient way. Easy A.
best math teacher ever. clear, helpful, kind, understanding and funny as heck. he is not lenient on grades though, you get what you get, which is respectable. hes one of those teachers i will remember for life. i wish i failed the class so i could take it with him again, thats how awesome he is! for the first time in my life math became my fav class
He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Thanks to him I have learn that math can be easy. Thank you Mr. Rudolph for helping me make it to the University. He is one of the best TEACHERS I have ever had. He takes time to explain things before and after class. His material is easy to understand. NO, homework!!! Quiz are not to hard!
I think Mr Rudolph is a very good teacher and knows his stuff. The last post about no homework was not true there is a huge packet for every unit. I would have learned so much more if he slowed down just a little. I think he tries to fit way too much material in a 12 week class. If you like a very fast pace class from a good teacher then take him.
With Mr. Rudolf, Math became very interesting and can be learned with ease. I highly recommend him to students who's got Math phobia. After attending his class, you'll want another Math course. He's just that good! Thanks Mr. Rudolf you made Math fun, most of all you armed well enough to face numbers.
He was just going way to fast w/ all explanations. I don't feel I totally understood and even when I asked to clarify, it still was confusing. I was constantly asking him to slow down.
great teacher!
Great teacher! Very clear teaching method, fair grading, and very persistant. I wish he taught more math classes at De Anza.
Rudolph is a great teacher, I think he is about as good as it gets as far as offering the information you need to succeed and move on. If you attend class and study the info he gives you, you will not only get an A but you will be ahead of the game.
He is a great teacher, I really liked him alot. Organized, clear and uses good explenations for word problems. I took math 210, and 112 from him and really enjoyed it!!
great teacher. Very helpful, easily approachable and very patient
He is very helpful and it seems that he wants his students to pass. The first half of the class is very easy. Do NOT miss class for sections 4 and 5. The only critique I have is voice is very monotone and he he goes some what fast over certain subjects but he is always willing to help.
Great teacher. I hate math and was very afraid to take this course, since I've flunked it before. He was great in teaching it and I passed it with a B! He's funny, intellectual and patient! Totally recommended him!
Mr. Rudolph is the best teacher out there for math. What he teaches on lectures is what is on the quizzes and tests. There are no surprises when the tests and quizzes come. If I could have Mr. Rudolph as my teacher each math class I would definetly do that. The thing I would reccomend for students is to attend every lecture and take advantage of th
If you are not a MATH fan, take this class. Mr. Rudolf makes math enjoyable and easy. I wish all other math classes were with him...Just do homework and attend classes, quizzes and midterms are fine based on lectures.
He's an awesome teacher, his teaching approach and style makes it very easy to follow the course material and pass the quizzes and exams. He gives you an outline and uses it for the exams. In the final, you can use a cheat sheet. He is very easy to approach, very nice guy ! Take him if you want to really understand Math!
Mr. Rudolf is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is clear, concise and unlike most math teachers, he has a knack for understanding what it is like not to know how to do what he is teaching. I really don't like math and I did great in his class. He was willing to stay after and work with you if you didn't get something. GREAT TEACHER!
Best Math teacher i've ever had. He is crystal clear, patient, gives you handouts to study for all tests and exams. His style of teaching is extremely helpful for someone who has difficulties understanding math like myself and i passed with a B. Take him, he's excellent !!!!
Ok for starters...Mr. Rudolf is as dry as unbuttered toast. Seriously do not take his 820-1030 class, it is guaranteed that you will fall asleep at some point. That being said, he lets you know everything you need to know. It is important to go over notes and tests. If you refresh you will pass with an easy A.
He was an awesome teacher, very clear and concise. the class was a little slow at times, but its easy to get through. he answers all of your questions happily. he lets you use a 8 1/2-11 sheet of paper on the final filled with whatever you want on it.
I am in his 820-1030 evening course and I will admit it's hard to focus on math that late and he is a bit of a dry lecturer but that is also the subject. He is VERY helpful and clear about what needs to be studied and he gives you outlines for each chapter. Take good notes, attend class, go over your homework and you will do great, really nice guy.
Great teacher... Handouts are given before tests which helps and he actually teaches!! Still in the class and learning a lot.
His class is good but don't take the 830-1030pm class, avoid that hour if you can because he does do a full 2hrs lecture. However, he gives out good outline, very good notes, good examples. Do your homework, study your notes then you'll pass.
Best math teacher i have ever had! I never liked math at all before and used to fail but Mr.Rudlof changed my approach to it.He is clear and gives good handouts and explains everything very well,i now understand math its no longer Hebrew to me!and i am now an A student in math! thanks Mr.Rudolf!
I was terrified of math until I had him as an instructor. He even helped when I moved on to my next class-- great guy.
I hadn't taken math in 20 years and dreaded this class. But Mr. Rudolph explains things extremely well and gives out packets for each unit with examples of how to solve each. Study those and you'll get A's on the quizzes and tests. His dry wit made night classes bearable.
Very nice teacher! You can tell he really knows his stuff. However, if math isn't your strong point, I do not recommend taking a 2 day a week class.I tend to zone out after an hour or so (especially since his class is so late at night).Math is hard to keep up with if only 2 days a week and not your strong point.Recommend for those good at math only
Great guy. Just take ALL the notes becuase every quiz/test are based off of them. This is the only math teacher I will ever take... if possible
You read the notes before the test, do a little bit of homework, attend EVERY class, and your sure to get an A. I never really liked Math but this class is really a breeze for me to the point where I can get a D on the finals, and still get an A on the class. BTW, 86 is an A. no plus or minus grade. And he'll drop one quiz out of 7.
MR RUDOLPH IS THE WORSET TEACHER EVER DON'T EVER TAKE HIM HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT HE JUST TALKS NONSENSE I HAVE HIM AND HE BARLEY TEACHES PRE ALGEBRA HE STARTS TO ALSO TEACH ABOUT STATS AND GEOMETRY WHICH IS NOT HIS SUBJECTS TO BE TEACHING AT ALL I RECOMMAND YOU DON'T TAKE HIM HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO TEACH PRE ALGEBRA AT ALL
Professor Rudolf is a wonderful teacher, his lectures are extremely well organized and he explains his subject very clearly. I was able to get an A even without buying a textbook. I simply took notes and reviewed them before each quizzes and exams. Simply put, he is an amazing teacher that genuinely cares for his students and wants them to succeed!
Respectfully, over-rated. Highly organized but doesnt remind you of common mistakes, which is reasonable, but only if you are fresh out of beginner algebra. He tends to focus alot on graphing material, not my fave, so i lost interest. Beware no partial credit on final- kiss of death for me. Will go fast toward end of quarter, beware. Great guy yes.
Math is my worst subject - so I stupidly put it off until the end - problem is that I forgot a lot of it. Never had a descent math teacher until Mr. Rudolph. AN AMAZING teacher, if you are not so good at math. I truly enjoyed math for the first time in his class. He sets you up to succeed in his class. Great teacher.
The Good: Clear, straight Forward, gives you great outlines for each unit, will answer all questions w/o making anyone feel stupid, does a GREAT job of preparing you for the harder levels of math. EASY grading scale, 85%+ is an A. Also gives extra credit on some of the quizzes and midterms. The BAD: FAST (summer school) and takes a lot of work.
he is a fantastic teacher. pretty easy if you go to class and do the homework (which is not mandatory). Gives you outlines for every unit and allows a cheat sheet for the final. great teacher overall, took him for 2 math classes. extremely helpful and nice.
He's a great teacher. He'll keep explaining til you understand. There's outline for every chapter made it very clear to know what you will learn for that chapter. Homework is not require to turn in but very helpful for the quizzes. His grading are base on your quizzes and midterms and final. So you must do good on those.
Howard's class is so easy. Sadly, I had to drop this class since it started from 9:00-11:00PM that I just couldnt take it anymore. Everything is based on these packets he gives you. I NEVER even bought the text book. Everything will be based off the packets he gives you and the class is CAKE from there! Great guy!
Easy n helpful but sometime class is very boring n he never let u have breaks or out early n he it's up to u if ur gna do it or not bcuhs he's not collecting it n it's for ur own benefit to be prepare for the quiz
Easy class. Homework not collected; I didn't buy the textbook and just went off my class notes and got an A with little to no study time needed. Class drags on, he's a bit dull and monotone. NIce guy though, he'll always give you the benefit of the doubt in your work. Easy class, but not for those with suffering attention spans.
Mr. Rudolf is by far the BEST teacher I have had a De Anza! He gives very detailed outlines and had extremely clear lectures! I hate math and got an A in both classes I took with him! He teaches a lot of material but you will be completely prepared for any math classes following his. He even helped tutor me twice a week when I took 114 with another awful professor! I recommend him 100%!!! He really is the BEST!!!!!
One of the best math teachers I have ever had. Pay attention to lectures and do the homework. He is helpful if you have questions and most of the formulas are given for tests.
I was confident going into this class in the beginning of the Fall quarter b/c of the ratings little did I know, I would end up dropping with a W. Long story short, he goes way too fast thru the material, starts teaching you geometry and statistics (its a pre-algebra clas hello) and doesn't take his time explaining the material. Waste of a quarter.
Most of us should have learned the majority of the material from this class, so it is fast paced. The key is paying attention and literally interrupting him with, "hold on, please." He will stop and wait for you to finish writing your notes. Also, do ALL the homework and try to avoid his 9 pm class, HE WILL NOT LET YOU GO HOME EARLY!!
Mr. Rudolf is a great teacher. All you have to do for tests is practice problems from prior tests and from the notes and youre guaranteed to pass your quizzes and midterms. He really cares about his students and their understanding of the subject. If i could have him for a math teacher all through college i would!!!
Awesome teacher. The tests are easy if you actually pay attention to his lectures. He does go fast, but bring a recorder than you don't miss anything. I am taking Math 212 with him fall 2012
He's helpful. Just really boring ??
Very good teacher. Covers everything before testing you on it. He will answer any and all questions you have on the homework before quizzes. Just do all the homework and its an easy A.
Mr.Rudolf is a great and respectable teacher. His lecture is well organized. His math class very easy to understand, if you are not a lazy student.
he is an amazing teacher. the way he is teaching is very easy and he wants to make sure all his students understand his lecture. he is very good in replying to students emails. he is open to help the students extra
he is an amazing teacher. makes sure everyone understands the material and takes time to help you if you dont. took him for 211, took another teacher for 114 and had to drop with a w. taking him again for 114
A physical learner needs to do the problem 1 step at a time because they can not understand what you are talking about, whereas a audio learner can imagine what you are talking about. He goes fast to weed out the physical learners. Its like going to your job and only doing the easy work. He is a failure to the students and the teaching industry.
Mr.Rudolf is nice, but his class is boring. Its almost physically painful to sit there for 2 hours. He is very thorough, but I feel like he explains things in a way thats harder to understand than it needs to be.He is SUPER picky on tests and we only use the book for homework(which isnt turned in).He is great at answering question through email though.
Nice and simple man. Attend class if you want to get an A. Homework is not much and not collected. Helpful teacher overall. Tests are based on homework and quizzes, nothing tricky.
His class is really boring and he teaches very slowly. But because of his speed, he makes everything crystal clear. If you listen to his words you're likely understand what he's describing as his speed gives you plenty of time to digest his words.
This dude is great! His lectures and handouts (provided to you for free) are very clear and easy to understand. The textbook isn't needed unless you want to do the hw. The hw he gives isnt graded, only there for practice. Your grade is based on tests and quizzes (drops lowest) Class feels long but that only cuz math sucks. Also he gives xtra cred
He is a good professor but makes things three times as hard as they need to be. His quizzes are set up in a way where you need to show up to class for an A. He is really nice and there for you to help but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND taking his night class since it is like physical torture just sitting there. Overall pretty good and would take again.
Don't skip any classes! Everything is based on his quiz and lecture. You will get easy A is you do all the Homework, he is not gonna grade them, but they are good practice. Easy test , small variations based on the previous quiz. Take good notes, copy down everything he wrote on the board then u will pass this with no problem at all
He is one of the best Math teacher I've ever had. Really good lectures! if you go to class everyday, take notes, do HW and do the "Additional problems" he gives in his packets, then you'll have an "A" in the class. most of the problems for the quizzes and tests come from there. DO NOT MISS CLASS & DO THE HW though it's Not Mandatory
One of the greatest math professors at De Anza, he writes everything on the board and is super precise the material he wants you to know. Take good notes and come to class.
I took Rudolf Fall 2014 and he is the most excellent math teacher I've ever had! Math has never been my strongest subject so his lectures really pushed me to improve and I felt taking him helped improve my math skills. His notes on the whiteboard are very clear and understandable; he's approachable and funny, and very kind. I really recommend him.
He not very clear at explaining concepts. If you need extra help since math is not my strong suit, he will ignore it and continue with his lectures. Lectures are long and likes to "skip" steps cause he assumes we know them. If you struggle at math I do recommend to take someone else. Math is already hard, but to have a Teacher like him it wont help
Mr. Rudolf is an exceptional instructor. Very clear and explains math concepts in a way that is very easy to understan. very good at what he does and obviously cares for his students. if he sees you putting in effort he will do his best to help you pass if you miss class you're screwed, take notes, ask questions and study your quizzes
Very good explanations and made me really enjoy math for once in my life. If you have ever struggled with word problems, he will explain them well. If you are enrolled in summer, BE PREPARED for lots of tests especially the last week. You must keep up with the HW in order to study to pass this class, although you never turn it in.
lots of homework but it pays off. Good exercise problems and practice for tests and quizzes.
His quality lectures bridge the gap between the book material and the no-turn-in homework assignments. Beware, he stands close to the board and is right handed; sit in the front right of the class for the best view of the board while he writes. Clear explanations, easy going manner, the right amount of humor, and forgiving during test grading.
OMG. BEST MATH TEACHER EVER. He's so funny and clear in explaining. Does lots of example problems on board step by step. His classes are so fun. I loved his classes and no mandatory homework. All his midterms and final is based on homework only. He even provides formula and allows cheat sheet in final. MUST TAKE EASY A!
Took math114 before w/ him, and it was easy. He teaches math step by step, so it's really clear to understand the problems. In math41, quizzes were easy, however, some problems in exams were difficult. I didn't really spend time reviewing on quiz/exam, didn't do any of the homework, but still get A. Just listen/take notes carefully in class.
This teacher was not remotely accommodating. Most of the students dropped or failed. I got an A in the class before this and fully understood the homework (my tutor agreed) yet he graded so harshly I became more and more anxious and did progessively worse. I cried during tests. He was rude to me and made me feel uncomfortable asking for help
Be a responsible college student and you'll be fine. He is helpful, but if you clearly don't know what you are doing, then take a lower level class bc u arent ready. His teaching is straight forward. Prep/review ur notes b4 class bc he will pick up where he left off. Sends you handouts, well during the summer he does. Wont let you see his own notes
He explains math w/ the mindset that not everyone is good at math. Lecture consists of examples on the board. TAKE CAREFUL NOTES on the world problems he does during lecture as they will most likely appear on test/quizzes. Hw problems also appear on test/quizzes Take the prerequisite class with a P/NP so you can focus on learning rather than grades
If you want a class with a little work it's here. He doesn't make you do the homework. I did. I got an A and I suck at math. The homework is harder than his tests. He gives good lectures. No breaks, but he knows what he's talking about. I would take him everytime. If you pay attention, you will pass. Notes accepted on final!!
The most straightforward teacher I've ever had. He explains concepts so simply I didn't even need to use my textbook. Just pay attention in class, take notes on what he writes on the board, and look over your notes before each quiz. Honestly, I didn't even deserve a B because I was too tired to study half the time but he's a GOAT so you know he hmu
His class is considered easy if you already know the material, as I did in the beginning. As it starts to get more difficult throughout the quarter he moves quickly, and doesn't explain all steps. Even with taking notes at every lecture and doing all the homework it is very hard. The final is also the longest exam w/ the shortest amount of time.
He's the best math professor I've ever taken. The notes he writes out on the board are designed to help you follow and study on your own time. Homework is not collected for credit and his quizzes/exams consist of simple problems. As long as you practice and understand the homework you will get an A in this class.
Just follow step by step anything he writes on the board, review it again and do HW then you'll be fine! 2 quizzes, 3 exams, and 1 cumulative final. He does allow a cheat sheet on final. His lecture is kind of boring but you should go to class to get the material so it'll be easy. His test aren't hard at all!
Howard Rudolf is an amazing professor. His lectures are great and the notes he gives are amazing and detailed. They're good enough to where you don't need the book. Just study the notes and you'll do great. He gives hw but its not graded only quizzes and tests are. Tests are easy if you study and practice with hw and notes but hard if you don't.
Mr. Rudolf is just brilliant. I can undoubtedly say he is one of the best math profs I have ever had. Make sure you show up in every class, take notes and do the homework. If you need any help, he is always ready to help you. His lectures are very clear. I definitely recommend him. Don't hesitate! Enroll for his class.
I would never take him if you already are struggling in math. He is book smart, he does his lectures fast, and you can't even get a question of how it was done. He erases the board right away, you have to be quick. I have never missed a class and I was still struggling. He tells you to drop out if you are not making the cut. you need 600+ pts for C
HORRIBLE teacher. He does not care about students during these times and is the only Professor still having midterms on campus with this virus going around. TERRIBLE.
DO NOT CHOOSE THIS Professor!
Go to class, do the homework, get an A. He has about 2 quizzes, 3 midterms, and 1 final. His tests are super easy IFFFF you do the homework or stay in class. His lectures do get boring but whatever he teaches in class and assigns in the homework is on the test but the numbers are changed. Class is not mandatory and you can leave when you want.
Great teacher, cares about his students. Assigns a lot of homework out of the textbook, which is not mandatory but a lot of the test/quiz questions come directly from the homework. Very fair in grading and striking confusing/ conflicting questions questions off tests.
Wonderful lectures, you will learn a lots from his class, he is very nice.
He is awesome and lecture is very clear
Summer was only graded on quiz, 3 midterm, final, no HW graded (But it was given out). Lots of lecture, very dry, but he will answer any question just don't be afraid to speak up. He is a bit fast and can be hard to follow, be prepared for sudden whiteboard erasing or switching between sources. Textbook is mostly followed. Take lots of notes
He is a nice professor and teaches the items super elaborately which is very helpful for those who find math to be daunting. I would suggest taking him if you would like to get credit by being tested on the items he clearly teaches without any surprise items! His lectures are super long and can get monotonous. He also has a lovely cat and dog :)
The best part of Howard's class is being able to be practically Asynchronous and on your own time. Although, the lectures themself are high volume with low density. I was able to edit out all of the times when he was silent during a zoom recording and regularly video times were cut in half! One video went from 2 entire hours to a measly 30 minutes.
There is no homework, no mandatory. SUPER easy tests. 2 quizzes, 3 exams, and 1 final.
The class was ok for a math class. I think everyone is exaggerating with all the 5s. The professor is very hard to understand and the class was a night class so it was hard to even get to class sometimes. Maybe it was because I've never taken a night class and a math one at that before, but it was very boring and I could barely understand him.
2 quizzes + 3 midterms + 1 final, and one makeup, all highly related to the examples in class. It's my first time taking math class in English, his handwriting is a little sloppy, but has no accent and speaks at a moderate pace, so it's easy to follow. Recommand him.
2 Quizzes, 3 midterms, and 1 final thats it. Super clear grading, not mandatory attendance but I suggest you go. Great professor, will take again!
2 quizzes, 3 exams, 1 final. Only one make-up test opportunity if you miss it. HW is assigned, but not collected. The class was easy, but I had to read the textbook to understand since he mostly reads off his lecture slides which are very confusing.
Very easy class. Graded on 2 quizzes, 3 midterms, and the final. He just reads off of slides that are the exact same as the text in the textbook, so you probably only need to show up for tests. I usually overstudied for the tests and every time it was easier than I expected. He's old and it's reflected in his teaching, but I still recommend him.
In terms of this professor's teaching style, he literally only reads slides word for word and nothing else, and whenever you have a question he maneuvers around it and lacks any care or passion for teaching, the class is easy but so incoherent, it makes Joe Biden look is young, youthful and sound.
If you are planning on majoring in math at a UC or other 4-yr, DO NOT take this class. He doesn't teach actual linear algebra. Actually he doesn't teach at all. However, if this class is required for your transfer, and you want free GPA points with less than bare minimal effort required, then do take him and get yourself an easy A!
He doesn't teach. He reads from slides, which aren't his, with examples ripped straight from the textbook. He has to be reminded to post (optional) homework, and dropped an entire chapter from the class AFTER LECTURING IT WHOLLY. The tests are so simple. He forgot what room we were in, postponed a midterm by 2 weeks, and had little communication.
I gotta say - all of the 5's on here have to be lying lol. He's always late, awful hand writing, and he's all over the place. If math is your weakness do not take him if you need to understand the material. He blows through everything with little explanation. Only graded by tests so your stress level is constantly through the roof - don't take him.
Unpredictable when he lectures, sometimes misses a day, lack of clear communication or anything. Reads word for word of twenty year old slides. it is DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND ANYTHING. 2 weeks into class and I am completely LOST. Have to watch Organic Chem Tutor and other Youtube on my own to try to understand. He does not teach.
Ok I really don't know why people are complaining. This class was really easy, and to be honest you should probably take him if you can. He doesn't really teach, but his exams were really easy like straight from the book problems essentially.
This professor does not teach and only reads word for word off lecture slides taken from the textbook. Am not learning anything and am forced to self-teach on my own using the internet- extremely frustrating. Brushes by very difficult concepts in a matter of minutes, not actually teaching just reading verbatim off the slides.
Avoid him like the plague, he doesn't teach at all. He is a tough grader and is the worst math teacher I've had. If possible take another professor because he will not teach you. You basically have to teach yourself from the textbook if you want to understand the class. He doesn't care about his students .
Do not take him class and that's all!
didnt learn a single thing from him, without youtube I wouldnt survive. Only reads ppt and examples. avoid him.
Barely skims over the material he just reads ppt slides. Doesn't care about his students, had to learn from youtube because he doesnt teach.
He doesnt explain and goes over topics fast. He also treats you like dust and I barely understood his explanations. Had to rely on self studying in class.
professor so bad I had to make an account. if I hadn't already taken this class prior and had a background in this course, i'd be absolutely lost. he yaps a lot about stuff that's barely relevant to the chapter at hand, making it kinda difficult to determine what's ACTUALLY important. you may have a lot of teaching yourself to do, so good luck!
As an international student, I find it comfortable to comprehend the course material. He writes down the content which allows for a slower pace that aids in better understanding. However, in my current Math 1 course, the professor has switched to using PowerPoint slides.Nonetheless, the tests remain easy and closely tied to the homework assignments
Only quiz/ exam scores matter. His lectures are somewhat helpful, but the course definitely requires more self-studying. Exams use exact problems from homework and previous quizzes. He even took off some difficult questions (free points!). Good for self-paced study. He's a good guy, though lectures can get monotonous.
if youre in his class then get youtube premium cause it'll teach you more then he teaches you
The professor's teaching style is a bit hit-or-miss. While he covers the material, his explanations can be unclear. Luckily, tools like YouTube and unstuck ai helped me fill in the gaps. Not the best, but manageable.
His lectures are very long and he speaks super slow. I recommend watching his lectures at 2x speed if you're going to die of boredom. He's a very mediocre teacher and there is nothing crazy about him other than his lectures. For his assignments, he only cares about the tests and quizzes. No homework required. Rating his summer class a strong 5/10
Felt like a self-paced class. Lectures weren't that helpful but he is super chill and answers emails fast. Lectures are long and slow and youtube helped a lot more so be prepared to do most of this on your own. Attendance isn't mandatory. 3 Midterm tests over a month, about 3 quizzes, final, and HW is light af. Textbook is expensive though.
