She is very straightforward and direct on lectures. Explanations of the concepts are good. That's about all I can say; straightforward and direct.

She's a good teacher if you pay attention. She explains things quickly but thoroughly. Don't expect to get the warm and fuzzies from her, though, she's not very friendly. But she does her job well.

This is a very quick pased, tough course. She does the best she can with the little time she has. She does explain things thouroughly. I think the previous negative evaluation, is more of a reflection on the difficulty of the concepts being taught.

Nice, helpful, quizes evey week, chapter tests, kind of hard, gives homework but doesn't check if u did it! :) You pass her class if you come, listen to lecture and do homework!!!

she is very nice and little hard but her tests and quizes are littel hard. she doesn't collect hoemwork. but if you do homework she went over the hoemwork every day.if you study hard then her class is peices of cake for you.

Shes a pretty nice teacher. If you do the HW assign even if she doesnt collect them you should be fine.Test are pretty easy if you know the work/study for them. Gets kinda mad when she has to repeat her self & students still dont udrstd. after shes gone over the work 10x's. its true this is college!

Wang is a great teacher. She is clear on what she teaches, if you pay attention in class and study you'll do fine.

After I had lost my testbook, I explained my problem to her and she loaned me her textbook for 3 months. she had a tendency to talk down to students but I confronted her and she treated us better afterwards. She is very friendly when I see her on campus, she encourages me to keep studying hard. If you study you will pass her classes.

pretty easy when you pay attention.

She's an excellent teacher. Her lecture is very helpful and that was the reason I didn't want to miss any class. I knew that if I missed her lecture I would need to spend twice as much time to read the material. Her quizes and exams were way too easy if you do the homework assignment. I got an easy A.

Prior poor ratings given r bogus. She explains concepts well & goes through proofs so you can easily derive formulas if u hv trbl memorizing thm. Yes, she does hv an accent, but nt so bad u cnt undrstnd her. If falling behnd in her class, its a reflection of the stdnt nt the teacher...you probably need to do yr hmwrk.

she is a very easy teacher. you just have to do your homework and come to class everyday and pay attention and you will definitely pass her class. she gives 1 quiz per chapter and sometimes a take home quiz. she goes through each problem very clear eventhough she has an accent.

Professor Wang is a teacher who teaches to the point. There isn't much humor in the class but if you focus and work hard you can succeed in this class. She is tough teacher who is helpful; although the tone of her voice might not seem so.

Pro's: Willingness to help, kind, made subject fairly understandable. Con's: Sometimes when students asked a question she seemed irritated for some reason. Ms.Wang is an overall good teacher. She's not there to entertain you, just teach you math. Sometimes class was boring, so if you can't tolerate that, dont take her :)!

I don't understand the comments about her being difficult. She does move fast, but a lot of the questions on the tests are identical to the homework problems. Study hard and you'll do well.

I understand what most people are saying. She does appear to be somewhat annoyed when you ask a question, but one time she let me bring my bike into class when I forgot my lock. I guess I can understand why people aren't rating her as hot, but personally I think she's really sexy in a weird way.

Her class was one where you get out of it what you put into it. We had 7 quizzes, 5 tests, and a cumulative final. The lowest quiz grade is dropped. Quiz and test questions were nearly identical to the homework. She does gives a lot of homework but if you do the work and understand it you will get a good grade.

I took 8 quizzes and she drops the lowest one. 3 tests total and the lowest one gets replaced by the final. Just study, do the hwk and you should be fine. Also, she is a very lenient grader. =]GL!

Shes easy if you just READ THE BOOK! She repeats things alot sometime to HELP the students understand more. She is welling to help if you are welling to put in the time. Always takes attendence, gives the option to do HW, Fantastic instructor, and easy to understand. take her! Her quizes and Testes are based from HW and EXs in class only

Professor Wang really wants all her students to succeed. There is a lot to cover in trig, which is why she prefers questions to be asked before or after class. I enjoyed her class because she was organized and she always discussed the many applications that trig has in the real world. I left her class with a greater appreciating for math.

I took this course over the summer. It was fast-paced, but if you do all the homework, the exams are easy. Lots of students didn't do the homework because it wasn't compulsory, but the students who do it get the As. She's fair, doesn't tolerate time-wasting, and really wants you to get as much out of class time as possible.

She's gives great lectures. However she's really strict on attendance. I was sick and missed too many classes, so make sure you don't miss lectures. Other than that from what I saw she was a good teacher and I recommend her.

I still think she's a good math teacher and I recommend her to anyone that is looking to take a math class. She's helpful and easy to understand. You can do well if you put some effort in her class.

P. Wang is organized, clear, & does not waste time (E.B.I. she gave the class time to write down the notes). D2L was helpful; I knew exactly why & what my grade was. This class helped me understand the material intuitively rather than just memorizing formulas. If you’re serious about math, I recommend her. P.S. a grade is earned, not given.

Prof. Wang is a great professor. She gets bad reviews that are completely unfounded. She takes into account how much effort students put in and will grade accordingly.

I really liked Professor Wang, there was a lot of homework, but if you do that along with the online textbook study plan you'll most likely pass.

I like Professor Wang, she is a great professor and honestly I think that people who do not like her is because they want an easy A. I had her for Math 100 and 120 and I can honestly say that I would take any of her classes in a heartbeat.

She is the best professor in math department. She gave every lecture very clearly. She is also patient for the students who have questions to ask her. The quizs and tests are all the same type as you did on her handouts. I really hope she can teach all the math classes that I should take. I would 100% take her again.

I never liked math in high school but after taking this class, I actually quite enjoyed it and passed it with a high B. She gives a lot of examples during lectures and even though theres a lot of homework, that is how I got my practice. She kept reminding about upcoming tests and quizzes. Great teacher!

Prof Wang was a no nonsense teacher. Which for a math class is a good thing. Show up, take notes, ask questions and she is your friend. This is not a class to take with your friends for she HATES all talking during class lecture and will make you leave. She was approachable, had office hours, and was accommodating.

A few pros: straightforward, many different types of examples, not overly strict (some are), uses book so u can read it if you didn't understand it in class (book is good), thorough explanations, grades exams and quizzes relatively quick and goes over them so you see ur own mistakes.

I mean, it's a math class so you're not going to get a light work load. Weekly quizzes, 4 tests, and a final exam. Homework is just graded on whether you've done all problems or not. Tests are very understanding, you could get every question wrong but the ideas right and get a C. Won't give a zero for flipping a sign or copying an equation wrong.

Shes very clear in her lectures and the tests questions are based on applying all the skills youve learned. She will pause her lecture to answer any questions you have and if you need extra help outside of class she is there for you. She does have quizzes at the beginning of class so you cant be late/absent. Gives partial credit for processes.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Honestly everything will be easy if you do your homework because quizzes are based of homework questions.

What you need to do is just do your homework. For tests, re-do your homework to get an easy A. Shes an easy professor, accessible during office hours. An excellent Trigonometry Professor. I definitely will take her again.

I'm really confused as to why Prof. Wang's rating is so low. She's a nice, intelligent professor that is encouraging & accessible during office hours. The quizzes are almost identical to the homework, which isn't due, but it'd be wise to do the problems regardless. She grades quickly, offers partial credit, & is one of my preferred math professors.

Thankful I took her for Trig .Do your hw and your quizzes and tests will be easy, gave extra credit at one time to be added to your quiz scores. Appreciated her more for precal,she covered everything you need to know for this class some students in class doesnt know some topics like polar,vectors law of sin cos Thank you, Prof Wang.

She covered what you needed to know for precal, and Im glad she did coz precal is hard. Shes an easy professor. Just do your homework, really, just do your homework, go to her office hours if you have problems with hw, I would like to take her again in calculus or maybe even DE, linear algebra if she teaches these classes. Calc 2 is notably the hardest of the sequence. Professor provides MANY resources in her modules to practice for quizzes and exams. She works from the textbook and so study guides aren't necessary just redo a bunch of hw problems. She does give out study guides though. HW is optional but critical for success in any math class.

I'd HIGHLY recommend doing the homework after lectures, as well as even numbered problems (she assigns all odds, but tests and quizzes sometimes have exact even-numbered problems). She grades EXTREMELY fairly too, in fact I prefer her grading over the other professors at SCC. Her accent isn't that bad, get over it.

Calc 2 is not as hard as ppl say. No matter what professor you choose, calculus is just a subject you'll need to invest time ample time outside the class. Wang is a solid choice. Her grading is the fairest! Her tests are reasonable. Quizzes are laughable. Just do your HW and everything will come easy!! The prof is not the problem, u r!

I love her, Im in my upper division class this semester but took her class few years back. I can say that she prepares you for your next math class. As with any other math incl upper div math class, doing and practicing problems is the key for you to be successful. She grades fairly compare to other prof. Quizzes are easy(hw probs). Test is fair.
