Great teacher....if you're LAZY...do not enroll in Hubert's class!!!

This class is one of my favorite this semester. He is very concerned with how his students are doing in his class and in school. He takes the time to make sure everyone understands what he is saying.

Mr.McClure is as good as a math teacher as they come. He breaks down math problems and simplifies them into a way where any math student could easily understand it. He has a good interaction with his student, and makes the class fun for all of us. All he asks is that we do our best, ask questions if needed, and show that we care about our grades.

He'll waste alot of calss time with nonsense every now and then, and his shirts are gettin too tight. Hes kinda funny but not so much. However, his class is easy and hard to fail. He helps your grade a lot. Hes good to ya.

Mr.Mcclure was extremely helpful, one of the best teachers I've ever had. Count yourself lucky if you get him as a professor, he'll do anything he can to help you pass. Really fun guy, I wish he was my teacher for all my classes. :)

Good teacher, cares for his students...at least the ones that "care" and do HW and ask questions. Hubert does not tolerate deadheads and deadheads usually don't care for him! His class depends on the communication of the students!

Mr. McClure is an exceptional teacher. He breaks math down so it's easy for even a dummy to understand. He Keeps class interesting and fun but will not tolerate laziness or arrogance. If you try to succeed he will help you in any way he can. If you just try to get by he has no sympathy. I wish I'd had him in high school.

MR. MCCLURE REALLY DOES CARE ABOUT HIS STUDENTS. IM A STUDENT WHO DIDNT LIKE MATH,BUT SINCE I'VE MET HIM, HE HAS MADE MATH FUN.

This class would have been unbearable for me without Hubert teaching it. This is my last semester and he is by far my favorite professor. He genuinely cares whether or not you learn the material and makes class fun and entertaining. I would recommend Hubert to anyone.

Born Losser and a good math teacher and takes time to teach you new and better ways of learning math. Very concerned that everyone is learning the problems and started the day of with a joke and has a hat and tie for the event that he needs to wear. Hubert is an awesome teacher. He is fun and helps out students when they may need it. He also explains material as much as you may need it for you to understand it. I trully thought I would never enjoy math. He changed that thought and I actually understand algebra. The biggest benefit to his class is through the use of math lab online. The only way to fail his class,is to not do your work. Thanks for teaching me; loser

Easy A. Do the homework and take the test. If you don't understand something, he will go over it until you do. You are such a looser if you make less than a B in his class, because he hands you an A on a silver plater.

Coolest math teacher ive ever had. All my old teachers sucked its good to see math can be fun and you can learn at the same time.

Great instructor! He explains things in a way that you can understand them and will explain things multiple times until you 'get' it. As he says, you have to try harder to fail his class than you do to pass it because he is so thorough. Not to mention that the Bonus items he gives out are a lot of fun too!

If you need math classes for you major, I would recommend to take McClure. He actually explains the math to you so you understand it. I haven't met anyone yet to fail his class its extremely easy. Also, you can get exempt from the exam!! If you fail his class you are a complete idiot. he teaches 120 and 103 and im not sure about the other ones

I cant even tell you how lucky you would be to get Mr McClure for a math teacher! I have learned so much from his way of teaching and the realness of him. He really wants you to understand math and be able to apply it to your everyday life. Would take another class of his anytime and not just to look at him either.. XD

This class is fun and awesome! If you get Mr. McClure then you're lucky. All the other calculus teachers at this school make the class as hard as they can, but he actually tries to make things easier to understand. I probably wouldn't have passed if it weren't for him. CSJ

A great teacher, He uses a Varity of teaching methods that help all learning styles. He likes to joke around which helps make the class feel laidback. Can get hard times but he?s fair. Just do your work and come to class and you will make a good grade. (ps)

Amazing class! This teacher focuses on teaching, and is always willing to help you. I loved how we took a considerable amount of time in class actually going over homework problems we didn't understand at home. Other teachers i've had before would just go to the next chapter, despite you being confused, causing you to be overwhelmed. CC

Best teacher at Tri-County!! I was not very good at math and very nervous about this math 120 class with McClure. He actually makes math understandable and fun. He truly does care about each student and wants to best for them. If you fail his class it is your own dang fault!!(SKD)

He is intelligent and teaches with respect for the students. Also, funny and incorporates the real life world into the math, ie..."Wal-Mart Math" is great conceptually. I tried to take this class the previous semester and didn't understand squat and surprise surprise, I ended up with a D. This is the 2nd time I've taken Mr. McClure. He is an all around great guy and an awesome professor. His strengths include helpfulness, clarity, and excellent communication skills. He will come highly recommended from whomever you speak to. Definitely a professor you want to have.

Really he is a good guy and teacher. A little strange and flirts with girls from time to time and kind of awkward but he is a nice guy and teacher. If you get annoyed by loud guys that get off on tangents a lot stay away but if you want to pass math 120 take it.

This class is an easy A. However, if you want to learn Math I don't recommend this class. If I'm not mistaking we only covered 2 chapters the entire semester and I felt like I didn't learn anything by the end. If Tri-County didn't have its own attendance policy I would have only shown up for exams.

Mixed reviews. He seems very obnoxious at times but can also be nice. He seems to spend more time talking about his personal life than math.

McClure is a great math professor, and his class is fun. He is completely willing to help you with anything you're struggling with IF you are respectful to him— meaning, make sure you pay attention to him. He will help you out tremendously, but make sure you keep up with the work & actually learn how to do the problems for your benefit!

He is a great math teacher and when I have another math class if I don't get him.I will ask him questions. Because of him I actually passed math overall with an A for the first time in my life! Not only did he help me with math he showed me that he cares about his student's overall success in life and not just in the classroom! THANK YOU!

This teacher would let me come mornings, afternoons and he would even stay over just so I could understand the material. He pushed me into not giving up if I dont understand a math question I can to him hands down and he will be there to help me. Take him you will not regret it

His class is easy, you get 10 free questions on every test. Any material you don't cover, you don't do the homework for which is good. As far as learning goes, it's okay. If you only need 1 math credit, take him. If you have a math major, then it's so-so.

Mr. McClure is by far the best math teacher I have ever had!!!! I have NEVER EVER understood most of the things that we went over in this semester, but now I understand all of it!!!! The biggest thing for me though was when we went over slope and y-intercept. I failed every test that related to anything like it but this semester I made a 96 on it!!

He is laid back and treats you like adults. He is helpful with breaking down math problems when you are completely lost. He makes math understandable!

I had him for an online class for 120. I thought math would be hard to follow through an online class, but you follow his YouTube videos that he records for the campus classes! i love this and I wish more professors were like this. You just have to keep up with the class and practice. I really enjoyed McClure and hope to have him again

Mr. McClure is a great instructor. If you miss a test or homework and talk to him he will most likely give you another chance. He likes for class to participate. He has a great sense of humor. As long as you do your work and participate you will pass. If you experience some sort of problem explain to him and he will help.

Hubert is the best calc teacher at tri county. The main focus of each class is to make sure the students UNDERSTAND the content. The environment is fun and laid back, but lots of learning takes place. Would recommend for both math lovers and haters alike. :)

Professor McClure was one of my favorite teachers this semester. He is straightforward in his teaching style and doesn't beat around the bush to teach the main ideas. The formulas you memorize are fairly easy, and he simplifies them as much as possible. Much of the information taught was covered in high school so it already puts you a step ahead.

Funny teacher. Cares about students. Appreciates participation. Tests are not bad. A lot of online homework.

Mr. McClure was a great math teacher. Made Calculus easy for me because of the multitude of problems we worked in class. Was far from a boring class due to his humor and interaction with the students. Students in his class make much higher grades than with other teachers. Uses WebAssign for homework and tests.

Professor McClure is a very patient and laid back Professor. He expects you to do your homework and online tests but gives you ample time and chances to get your work done. Simply put, if you don't pass his class it's your own laziness to blame. I would recommend his classes to anyone who struggles with math or who needs an elective.

Awesome teacher. If you don't want to show up to class you don't have to. He doesn't drop students. He posts videos of class and is very funny. He does not tolerate disrespectful students however. Do not be on your phone during class and don't pack up early. His class is hybrid, although you go to class everyday you take all tests and hw online.

Hubert is probably the best math teacher I have ever had. He made Probability and Statistics, a subject that I've always feared, understandable. He invests in your success as long as you PUT IN THE WORK.

Someone who could make you laugh and teach some math.

During my first semester in college, this professor worked with me and my many family issues and I was able to keep up from outside the classroom because he records and posts each lecture. He also hosts each lecture via Skype so if attendance is tight, "attending" through Skype is accepted.

Teaching with humors makes the class comfortable.

Awesome class! If you plan on taking Calculus 2 plan to take Mr. McClure. Very laid back, cares about students and their success in course and life. Attend class, take notes, and do homework and you will do well.

Hubert is a very intelligent teacher and shows you shortcuts to do math and really teaches you how to think of problems in your head. Every class I have been in of his are hybrid, meaning we learn in class, but the hmwk and tests are online. However, there are times when he is required to do an in-class test. Cal II has been a challenge with balancing a family life but Mr. McClure has worked with me in ensuring I will learn and have the knowledge to progress to the next math class. I skyped 60 percent of the overall class and at Tri-County Technical College thus far, this is 1 out of 10 instructors I have had that understand technology has its use.

I had him online, but even then you can tell he's a super chill teacher. I can't say much since it was online, but everything was in order and gives you enough to complete the work you have to do.

Fantastic professor. I would 10/10 take him again. He has his class set-up in such a way that anybody can get an A, and I do mean ANYBODY. He is a fair teacher, very easy to understand and learn from, absolutely hilarious, and just an all around good professor.

Hubert is a great professor. If you don't like to have fun while learning, drop the class. He give due dates for your homework, so you know when it is due. If you email him with homework questions, he will go over them as a class. When life comes up and you can't make it to class, he gives the option to skype in. Teaching is done on the board.

Mr. Mcclure is probably the best math teacher I have ever had through my years of schooling. He cares about students and wants to see everyone succeed that is showing effort. Homework can be a lot to deal with if you wait till the last minute. Tests are not too bad

By far one of my favorite professors! I wish I could have him for all the math classes I take. I failed this class with another professor the first time, but I immediately understood the material once I began taking his class.

Professor McClure was cool. While his humor is very much republican/conservative southerner and fell flat a lot with me, he's a laid-back professor and seems to genuinely desire the success of his students. That is incredibly rare. I respect him and though I'll never take an online math class again, I'd take his class again. He cares.

Best Professor I have had in my time at TCTC. He is fair and wants you to learn. He does not like slackers and will actively say so. If you show up and do your homework you will succeed.

Mr. McClure is a no-nonsense kind of guy. While he takes a strong and hard stance on your assignments and lectures; he is a very caring individual. He really makes it easy to follow either in class or online. With that said, it is imperative that you participate in class because he likes the interaction with his students

If you're looking for a sign to take Huberts class, THIS IS IT!!!! I absolutely suck at math but Hubert takes his time, makes sure everyone understands, and doesn't move forward if you're confused. Also, he is extremely funny, all past math teachers I've had were boring sticks in the mud, but Hubert is the best. 5/5 would recommend.

I will take other math classes with him being my instructor, if possible, and would never worry about a thing!!!

He is probably the best teacher to take. He is very clear and means what he says. If you respect him and follow his rules, you will do fine.

If Im being honest math is not my subject but this class made it easy to succeed. As long as I just did my work and turned everything in on time it was easy to do well. You get multiple chances on hw and tests and even the final! I finished the class with a 93. Professor was hilarious and cares about his students! Highly recommend!

McClure is a great instructor. Gives you multiple chances to take test and gives you easy questions to earn those points. He does not tolerate slackers and whiners so excuses do not pass with him. Just be respectful and pay attention and you will make a easy grade

He expects the same effort out of you as you expect out of him. Effort and participation are his two big things if you give those you'll be okay. The homework makes up most of the grades because there is no quizzes or projects, but this way you get to learn the material very straightforward. He also rounded my 88.49 to an A at the end.

Hands down the best professor I have ever had. He is extremely helpful when you ask questions and will work with you until you completely understand the material. He loves for students to communicate, so if you ever have any problems or questions definitely don't hesitate to ask!

Best math teacher I have ever had. I have always struggled with math, but Hubert McClure makes math make sense. He explains the material well and makes sure you understand how to do specific problems. Trust me, after I had him for the first time, I decided to take all my math classes I needed with him. Hubert is hilarious and he makes class fun.

My first class with professor hubert, and i'd have to say for a math class it was easy enough. Hubert gives you more than one try on a test (atleast online) and towards the end of the semester opened up EVERYTHING on Mymathlab so we could do the things we missed. Super nice guy!

Mr. McClure is the professor to take for Math! I took an online class with no problem. He videos his Hybrid class, and puts it on YouTube. Go ahead and look him up. He is tech savvy and uses a "doc cam" so you see him work out the problems. If you need him, he responds. You get multiple times on homework and tests. He cares, communication is key!!!

Literally the best teacher you can ask for. He has humor, ACTUALLY goes over what you need exactly for the test and to succeed. Just roll with the humor and loosen up and youll enjoy it.

He is not only one of the funniest teachers I have every had but also the most caring teacher I have had. His tests always reflect what he gives out as assignments, and he also is willing to help you with homework that you don't understand. I would highly recommend him if you like funny and caring teachers.

Mr. McClure was the best math professor I've ever had. He cuts out all of the unnecessary information and makes sure you know the important material. He gives multiple attempts on all tests and takes the highest grade. I had to reach out to him multiple times through Teams or email and he was very quick to respond... even on weekends. He's GREAT!

Professor McClure is AMAZING! Caring person, treats you like an individual and not like a job. If you are struggling to understand the material he goes over and above to work with you to make sure you get it. Tests are very fair and he goes over the material in class. Hubert is one of the most caring teachers I have had at TCTC. He wants your to do good and goes above and beyond to make sure you do. Only thing he asks from you is to participate in online classes! I am not a math person but I am taking College Algebra for my last math so I can have him as a teacher again! He really is the best!

Hubert is hands down the best! He is passionate about math and about his students' success. He makes it impossible to fail his class. I had him for MAT120 and knew I had to get him again for 103. With multiple attempts on homework and tests, there's no excuse for not doing well in his classes. He's hilarious and very real. INTERACT IN CLASS!

His teaching tactics are few and far between because when applied, they are on point. His explanations are understandable and they help especially for us oldies getting back at it. Mr. McClure is a very caring and conscientious professor. There is a lot of homework and hard work but he is always there to assist. Mr. McClure respects the students who put in the effort and appreciates the hours of work. I enjoyed this class alot because of everything I learned from it and Mr. McClure's humorous personality while teaching.

We reviewed the textbook a lot at the beginning of the semester, but as the class continued, we could use the book less due to our learning of the subject. Your grade is heavily dependent on homework, but it's not a problem if you understand the material. Overall, I would take another class taught by him.

This is the second time I have taken a class taught by Mr. McClure and, just like last time, I had an awesome experience. He loves what he does and it shows; as a student, this is very appreciated. He is funny and down-to-earth in hs teaching style and his mannerisms. He makes you feel accepted and will help you with anything you may need. 10/10

Professor Hubert is the best math instructor that I've ever had! I recommend you try to get him for every math class that you can. He will walk you through everything, step-by-step. He answers questions thoroughly. He always answers emails and texts. He likes to talk and joke with the class- he really cares about students.

Hubert is a great teacher. He takes the time to fully explain and ask the class if they have any questions before moving forward. He also engages in conversations with students about more than just math to build relationships with his students. I have taken him twice and would absolutely take Hubert again if I needed more math classes.

For STEM majors take this guys. Passionate about math and caring about his students. He likes to get in the nitty gritty of calculus by working out problems right off the bat while explaining the process and most importantly making sure students can visualize whats happening. Participation is key. Ask and you will be guided to the light.

By far my favorite professor I have ever had! I took Hubert for math 130 and 120 and did very well in both classes because of his teaching. He keeps class fun and is hilarious. He goes over any questions you need help with and will explain them until you understand. I will definitely take him again for future math credits.

Professor McClure is awesome! He makes the material easy to understand and shows you how to do shortcuts that the textbook doesn't show. Unit tests are almost impossible to fail. He gives 13 bonus questions on each test (that he gives the answers to), you have three attempts at each test, and he takes the highest grade. Super easy class!

He is a good teacher, a bit old school and is not afraid to be honest. He is a little tough but is only in your best interest. The great thing about this class is he answers the tough homework questions in class with you. This is good if you are not the strongest math student or test taker. He gives ample time for you to do your homework as well.

Best teacher I've ever had he seems harsh and scary but he really cares for his students and wants you to succeed not just in this class but in every future math class and in life. We were an in person class but when our teacher became unable to teach anymore he stepped in and did an amazing job getting us back on track.

I ended up taking the class online, so it was kind of funky in terms of due dates and everything, but Hubert was amazing. He was willing to help whenever I needed it and he is very funny. He doesn't like people that do not participate and are not willing to put in the work, but as long as you are good to do those things, it will be a great class.

For someone who literally hates math, he made it easier than my first instructor. He gives respect if he receives respect.

Best teacher I've pretty much ever had. He's very funny and explains everything well. If you have any homework questions he will go over them for you until you get it. He talks to everyone in class so you feel included, when most professors don't do that. You HAVE to participate in his class. Communicating is his #1 thing, so always participate.

This class was quite enjoyable! The class was hybrid with course content online and Microsoft Teams meetings two times a week. Hubert was an amazing professor! He made expectations clear and created a great learning environment. He appreciates humor and participation. He answered any questions my peers or I had. highly recommend.

He is a Solid Math professor. He was unequivocal with his rubric at the beginning, and the more you participate in class, the better! He usually starts five or so minutes late, but he will let you know. Make sure to have MS Teams on your phone and computer because the link to join only sometimes appears on a device.

Hubert is a wonderful professor! He knows what he is talking about and is open to helping you succeed. He does not like to repeat himself, so when he says something once, make sure you write it down or keep it in your brain. He needs to be able to hear you when you answer questions, so as a soft-spoken person, I did not answer questions...

Nice guy, pay attention and answer his questions in class. It is super easy the only hard units were the last two and they weren't even that bad. He gives plenty of bonus questions on his tests, so failing this class is hard. I would take his class again.

Hubert is hilarious, which made his class super engaging. He loves participation for online classes. He assigns lots of homework, but he will take time to answer any questions you have. He explained math in a way that made sense for the first time in my life. Totally recommend him.

Mr. McClure was always cracking jokes and making me laugh. He was always helpful if you had questions and addressed them in a way that was easy to understand. If you care, he cares. He really likes for you to talk in class even if you're in his online class.

Amazing professor. Had him for a 8am MAT-130 class, it was my first calculus class so I was sort of frightened, but Mr Hubert was amazing at going at calculus the easy way. Do your homework, write notes, and you will do perfectly fine. Cannot recommend him enough!
