Prof. Aljord is a wonderful teacher. Her knowledge of the Arabic language, including etymology and different dialects of Arabic, is amazing. She's also really kind, helpful, and a phenomenal dresser (her outfits are stylish). She not only loves her students, and pampers us by creating an Arab World experience in class with foods, drinks, and music,
I like her class so much. I am going to take her Arabic 2. I learnd alot in her class. she is wonderful and pasion. you ask, she answers kindly. we had lots of practice in class. so easy to get an A. If you like learn Arabic with an A take her class. she is the best teacher.
She is 1 of the best teachers in the school, not only is she easy but u learn too.
Huda puts a lot of time and effort to make the class enjoyable for us. She spent a lot of time teaching us the proper Arabic Language. She is very funny and kind. As long as you study, the class will be very fun and easy.
I love mrs. Huda!! The Arabic language can seem to be very challenging but, with this type of PERSON and TEACHER there is no way you CANNOT succeed! She is very helpful, she really shows interest in her students. Teachers like Mrs.Huda are rare to have these days. Massalama! :-)
She's an excellent teacher! Excellent! She makes you LOVE Arabic. The first month I found it heavy and difficult but I stuck with it and now I love it! Lots of homework and easy to get behind in though! She's funny and really a great lady. Her tutor Norma Fleming is also very nice and helpful. 1-10...9 (Just stay faithful to it!)
Best teacher. The only Arabic teacher who has a masters in Arabic. She's fun and actually wants everyone in her class to learn the language. Great teacher, makes everything easy to understand. If you want to learn Arabic, there is no one better to learn from than Mrs. Aljord.
Shes a good teacher
IF YOU ARE AN ARABIC LANGUAGE FAN TAKE THIS CLASS EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT JUST TAKE IT. YOU WILL BE INTRODUCED TO THE MOST INTERESTING CULTURE IN THE WORLD THIS CLASS IS THE KEY TOWARDS THE RIGHT PATH IN LIFE!!!
this teaches is the best teacher out there for arabic if u really want to learn arabic just attend her classes AND ATTEND TUTORING SESSIONS WITH MOE OR MOHAMMAD HE IS THE BEST TUTOR FOR THIS SUBJECT he helps alot and go into intresting discussions about arabs and their cultures.
very good teacher!!
very easy class, the teacher did her best so everybody gets an A,very helpful and kind teacher ,highly recommended
Huda is wonderful but tough. You really need to keep up with the homework and LEARN what she teaches you. If you're a good student you'll have no problems. But she gets annoyed with students that don't do their homework, and don't attempt to understand. She does a wonderful job teaching Arabic--and you need to respect her and her language.
Very sweet teacher who does everything she can to teach you the matirial and keep you from getting discouraged. If you have any interest in learning about a foriegn language or culture this teacher is for you! She expects you to try and show her respect but is always willing to help you on anything you dont understand. Very fun class!
She is super nice and passionate about what she teaches. It is almost impossible not to get an A in her class. Keep up with the homework or you will get lost!
The class is challenging, but she is such an amazing teacher it doesn't matter!
She is a very sweet, funny, and caring woman. BUT, she did give favoritism to the native speakers, some of them didnt even have to get the book. i'm egyptian and first off she gave me the projects for the NATIVE speakers AND the projects for the non speakers... then her expectations of me were so high that when iw as average, i got a C...
This professor is an outstanding instructor, she is so helpful and she is so funny. She treats her students like her children. She will help you no matter what is your circumstance. I definitely recommend taking her for any Arabic class and if she would teach math I will be the first one attending that class
Stressful class, yet somehow an easy A. You can figure that one. She can be unorganized & out of sync with the class; don't be surprised if you find yourself lost. She is willing to help and a nice/joyful lady, h/e, if you're expecting to learn Arabic, then don't! You will hardly learn anything. PS 1a2 means ARA-1 & 2
want an easy A? take her! she's super nice and sweet. gives extra credit almost every week. loved her class :)
Great teacher. She is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this class to anyone who has ever been interested in taking Arabic.
Easy and fun. Whoever said you won't learn anything in this class is either a liar or a native speaker. Cuz I learned a lot. I'm glad she's my first Arabic teacher. She does expect more from native speakers, though. Everyone has to work hard to get their grades, no? Include the native speakers. Easy A, but not-so-easy A. :)
such an amazing lady. respect her and show her you're working hard and she'll give you an A. she's ridiculously nice and i always found myself laughing at her jokes. just remember respect is something REALLY important in middle eastern culture. so give it to get it.
I LOVE HER! she was the best prof. I've had at RCC. Very sweet, fun and helpful!
professor huda is soo nice. I could not wish for a better arabic teacher. dont take in her class, do her assignments online and you will be fine and understand arabic well. TAKE HER CLASS!! lots of extra credit!
It's easy to get an A but I spent the whole semester stressed out and confused. The textbook is terrible and there is no plan to the class in the syllabus. I don't recommend taking the class if you actually want to learn Arabic.
She is such an amazing and kind hearted woman. Although she is not clear with most of the material. She is always willing to explain more deeply if you SHOW her you want to learn. This is a language class so you HAVE to take the TIME to study!Easy A if you get on her good side and do the homework on the textbook's website.
Easy A, although I felt like I stepped out of class with out learning a thing. This is not her fault. Due to budget cuts, an 1 1/2 of lecture isn't enough to learn such a DIFFICULT language. She is very nice but sometimes challenging to communicate with. If you really want to learn, don't waste your time. Or be prepared to spend many hours studying
simply awesome. i love to take her class. her rating should be more than highest.she gives you extra credit just for effort. dont take any other language class.
shes an amazing teacher always willing to help and clearify anything you dont understant. lover her class so much im in Arbic 2 : )
She's a greaaat teacher took arabic 1 and 2 with her. She's really easy, nice and helpful. Arabic 2 is a hard class because it was a hybrid and arabic grammar is crazy! She does a good job teaching but an hour and a half class twice a week is not enough for arabic 2.
If you are looking for an easy A, This is your class!
Amazing teacher. Amazing person. She is just so kind. If you show up to class and dedicate yourself to the class and she sees your effort. You will get an A. Reason being, she will make sure you learn the material and you will do great on the tests. I took her for Arabic 1 and got an A. I got a B in arabic 2 though. She is consistenly amazing tho.
Best teacher ever. Not because she was easy, but due to the fact that she actually cares about teaching you and whether or not every student (emphasis on every) is learning.
Professor Aljord is the kindest professor I've met. She actually cares about her students, and she sees them as actual individuals. Arabic is a beautiful language and if you study and attend class you will get a good grade:) Huda will not fail you if you try your best.
She was a friendly and fun teacher. Her insights into Arabic culture were entertaining and informative, and she works hard to help every student succeed. If you try in this class, you'll get an A. I was nervous about taking Arabic but this class was great.
Huda is an AMAZING teacher. She truly cares about her students and their success. She has an infectious personality. She creates a fun atmosphere in class. If you want an A this is the class for you. Huda will try her best to help you pass as long as you try. I truly love her and will miss being in her class.
I like her teaching she is funny and helpful . She keep giving advices to us like her children. I was happy being with her class
i took arabic 1 with this professor and i got to say it is one of the best classes that i attended through out my time in college.
you will pass if you participate and do all the assignments. If you want to learn Arabic you might learn, her lectures are confusing and she expects you to know everything she is talking about
The professor was very helpful and made the a lot easier. Though sometimes the assignments were hard to discern how to complete at times, she worked with you to turn in at a later time for full credit. I learned a lot from the class and will take Arabic 2.
She is honestly a great woman and professor. She is so kind hearted and understanding. If you explain to her why you weren't able to complete something or understand it she will bend over backwards to help you. As long as you show up the majority of the time and show her that you care you have an A. Don't expect to be fluent after Arabic 1 though.
Huda is such an inspirational and funny Arabic teacher. She is loving and treats you like her own if you try your best and care about learning. Her teaching style is understandable and her homework is challenging, yet easy. She's a joy to be around and you will most definitely enjoy her and her class if you take it. Have fun!
I've had her three years ago but I will never forget this amazing professor. she is beautiful, smart, and caring Professor. She knows her material and cares for her students to learn Arabic. The Arabic language is super tough but she is there to help and makes it easy to learn. Also, she is quite funny! Take her !!!
Professor Aljord is a great teacher. I've taken 2 classes with her. She is so helpful and understood when my workload for my other classes got to be too much. I took Arabic 1 during the summer which I thought would be really hard but she really breaks it down so that it's very easy to understand as long as you have an open mind to the subject.
She's very nice and helpful, and as long as you show her you're really trying she'll work with you if things get too difficult or the work is too much. I took her in the 6 week summer session so it was a little too much. It does feel like she just expects you to know everything at times too. But overall it was a pretty good class.
I took this class in the summer, honestly didn't think I would get an A but I did bc of her. She's very encouraging, assignments aren't hard but the material may be a bit hard to follow depending on how you learn. She's always there to help, effort must be put in, BOOK KEYS are necessary not books- study & take detailed notes in case you get lost!
Do not take this class, she will humiliate you in front of your peers if you made a little mistake. If you beg her to change your grade at the last minute. She won't because she doesn't have heart. I passed this class with a C. Took her in the spring of 2016
Fall 2016 Great Professor, very nice, and caring but her teaching strategies are a little complicated. Her classes are half in class and half online. Access Codes are must 2 for 30 dollars but you don't need text book. Study heavily on alphabet and more on vocabulary bc there is a lot. She will put you on the spot in class. Good Luck.
I personally do not enjoy her teaching style since it seems she doesn't really know how to teach the vocab in a good manner. The syllabus contained no important dates nor her grading. She is very caring but I would not take her class again. I felt all over the place and unstable, quite stressed for nothing since I did get an A.
She is really nice and caring. She gives second chance to students who screw up. If you want an easy A. Take this class trust. All you have to do is show up and participate.
I'll break it down real clear, avoid this teacher unless you are native speaker, she is highly unprofessional, unpredictable, disorganized, inconsistent, and unreliable. Take this class at your own risk, your basically on your own, and she will not prepare you at all for very hard material. You will regret taking this class, won't learn anything.
She is very friendly
Professor Aljord is really good. I prefer anyone to take her class she helps a lot.
When I took her for fall 2016, Our Final was a take-home final. Because of that, I got a B. Not sure if she still does that this year.
I am in no way close to a native speaker, but Huda is extreme;y kind and caring and understands that the arabic language is something completely new to non-native speakers. Yesnshe can be a little unorganized sometimes, but she tries and expects you out to. She gives endless chances to get a good grade and is willing to go over material for just 1.
She is the best! of course learning any new language is gonna be hard, but Professor Huda definitely goes the extra length to make sure you understand everything! She does get upset when no one ask questions or participates, so dont be afraid to ask ! I would definelty take her again any chance i have, she makes learning Arabic truly enjoyable.
Professor Aljord is an amazing professor. She genuinely cares that you succeed and she will do whatever she can to help you. I learned so much from her class. Take her and class trust me you won't regret it. It was always a joy even though I had her at 8 am and it would take me over 30 min to get to class. Im going to be taking arabic 2 with her.
I took Arabic 1&2. She is a very caring professor who genuinely wants you to learn and pass the class. If you do bad on a test, she lets you fix your answers to bump your grade up. There is a lot of homework, however. Nevertheless, as long as you show up for class and put in effort, you will most definitely pass the class. I recommend her! :)
Caring. Teaches Arabic with ease to a person with no comprehension of the language. Show up to class you're learning a language. Show up and you'll definitely learn what she has to teach. Put effort shamelessly into practical app. Very Respected!! Also give insight by introducing aspect of arabic culture. one of my Best Professors ever!!!
I took this class for a challenge but OH BOY! Professor is amazing, very helpful and understanding with non-native speakers. I took the fast pace course(8 weeks) so it was harder! I definitely don't recommend doing that if you don't know Arabic. She is awesome. Make sure to participate, do HW& study at least 6-8 hours a week. Don't drop she'll help
I took this professor a little afraid of learning Arabic since I knew that was a tough class But she was definetely a great professor and I enjoyed her class a lot Will be looking forward to taking her again
Best professor Ive ever taken! Offers tons of extra credit and will let you make up loss points on exams. Will bump you if you put effort in her class! I received an A in the class and I would take it again. Highly recommend!
Best professor!! She continues to push for her students to do better! If she see you working hard, she will help by allowing you to retake assignments and offer extra credit!! Planning on taking Arabic 2 and 3 with her soon!!!
Best professor ever! she helps students with anything they need. Really cares about her students understanding the language, lets you make up any test you take. Works hard to guarantee you an A. take this professor. you will not regret it.
Professor Aljord is one of the best professor I have ever met in my entire educational experience. I wish she would teach more Arabic classes beyond Arabic 2. I highly recommend her to anyone who would like to learn Arabic. I have missed her so much as well.
he is disorganized, Doesn't ever respond to email or text messages. homework is confusing on canvas, due dates are wrong .when she wants to cancel class, doesn't give any notifications
Worst language teacher ever very disrespectful and inconsiderate with students doesn't give a clear understanding to assignments. You miss any of her classes that are recorded you won't pass. She's for her Arabic native speakers any other ethnicities good luck would never take her again if you want to learn Arabic seek as well at another college.
Racist professor avoid at all means take at your own risk good luck to anyone who chooses to take her and she's very disorganized and does not respond to emails or messages and cancels classes and doesn't even notify her students very inconsiderate
Arabic 2 was hard for me, but Professor Aljord is very caring and helpful to all her students equally. Her main goal is that her students learn, and get the help they need. She will spend time to make sure her students understand the assignments and succeed in class. If you show up, participate, and study, you will definitely succeed in this class.
She is one of the best professors I had. You learn a lot from her class the way she teaches makes it easier to remember and understand. Not only do you learn the language but you learn about the culture too which is cool to know. She is very patient and caring. If you do the work and attended the class you can easily pass the class.
It was amazing to see how much we learned after only two weeks in. She cares about her class and makes sure everyone understands. We had a lot of fun in this class and would definitely take her again and I highly recommend you take her class.
Professor Aljord is very nice and she is the definition of someone who cares about her students. As long as you attend and try you will get an A. I really appreciate how she teaches and I hope more people teach like her.
Professor Huda is literally the BEST professor ever!! She is so caring and is always willing to help no matter what. She is amazing! She really cares about her students and wants everyone to learn. I've learned so much from her. Thank you so much for everything Professor!!
Arabic is one of the most challenging languages, but Professor AlJord is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive to where students need to the most help. She introduces concepts in a digestible way and is always understanding and flexible. She is one of the most compassionate people and really cares for her students beyond the classroom.
Professor Huda is absolutely lovely and cares for her students a ton. She really wants to help her students succeed however she can and is more than willing to step outside the classroom to be there how she can. This applies for academics and personal lives. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to take Arabic and wants to enjoy their time.
Professor Aljord is amazing. I wanted to learn Arabic as my third language and professor aljord made learning so easy! Her class is difficult, however she will be there if you need extra help on anything. She makes learning easy and will c give you multiple attempts to redo assignments. cant wait to take Arabic 2 with her
I honestly have never experienced a professor like her before. Normally, professors try to get class over with, but she really took it into full consideration. I am thankful that she is very approachable, kind, and pleasant to speak with! I really do regret not taking an in person class with her
Professor Huda is a wonderful woman and teacher. She's very efficient in the work that she gives. She truly takes her time to make sure her students fully understand the lecture material. As someone who is minoring in Arabic Lang/Lit, I strongly feel she is helping me towards eventually accomplishing this goal. I highly recommend her.
She expects you to know everything before coming in this course. If a student asks questions she brushes it off very rudely. This pushes students from asking questions, which can be so annoying. I am truly not sure why she has so many good reviews because honestly I've had some pretty bad professors and so far she's made it to the top of my list.
She is amazing. Planning to take all her courses. She breaks it down very simple and if you do not understand she will try and explain another way
Professor Huda Aljord was very caring and helpful to the students who were willing to learn Arabic and she was very helpful and her schedule was always open to her students.
Most free H course ever. Loved the topics, interesting feedback, fun dialogue in class. Less about time spent on assignments and more about engagement in class. No final, weekly quizzes, asynchronous assignments. Lenient on extending assignments. Communicate and everything will be fine. If given the option, take this class. You won't regret it!
Professor Aljord was very caring, responsible, and a very devoted professor and always had time for students and she was also offering a lot of help to her students whenever they need assistance.
BEST PROFESSOR!! Take her she's so nice and easy passed with a 99.7 bro trust me take her she's rlly good
