This guy is great! I hated speaking in front of people, by the end of the semester it was much easier. You get to know the people in your class, so that helps. Hugo makes class fun! I took it during the summer, and the whole time I was thinking "I wish the semester longer!" He told us to buy the book, but we NEVER used it. Keep the receipt!

He like to TALK. 3 presentations... that's it! 1st by yourself, 2nd with a partner and 3rd in a group. You actually learn something for a change.

Hugo is the best professor I've had at MDC. He is such a genuine person who truly loves what he does - and is great at it. Your overall grade is summed up into group presentations and a solo introductory presentation at the beginning of the semester. No midterm. No final. Don't buy the book. Show up to class.

During this class, you will do 4 presentations. The first one will be to introduce yourself and the other ones will be done with a partner. Hugo is a very patient professor and will help you feel comfortable presenting.

Youll only have to do 4 presentations. He is very laid back and the lectures are very fun. You dont need the book. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. You wont use it. The final is also a presentation. If you are scared of speaking in public you might not pass the class since the only assessments are presentations and you MUST talk.

He's an amazing professor! Worth your time and teaches you everything you need to know for the future. He also gets you prepared and helps you by providing tips on how to successfully, persuade and be able to talk to a large crowd.

He was a great teacher and his lectures aren't boring. All you do in that class is listen to his lectures and do one presentation alone and the rest are group presentations. He gives you two weeks to prepare the presentations and that's pretty much it.

He's an amazing proffersor. He really knows about communications. His lectures are really interesting. Not boring at all. If you need a communications credit and wnat to take a speech credit, take him. You won't regret it.

Proffesor Merino is an amazing human being. He cares about his students and does prepare you well for public speaking. I learned a lot in this class and was very easy. He has amazing lectures and he is very funny. I did not need book. You will do 4 presentations and outlines and will learn to leave the fear of public speaking behind. Take him!

Professor Hugo is an easy A. His classes feel like motivational talks because he is a good speaker and he tries to guide his students to success not only in class but in life. He is not easy to access outside of class but his work is pretty straight forward so that was never necessary. Easy, short spring semester class.

He is amazing. This is one of the best classes I've taken at dade. He is very passionate and understanding especially during the current pandemic. Our zoom classes were amazing. Many professors can't relate. I would definitely take him again. His ways of understanding students and incorporating the material are amazing and you will not get bored.

He is a very nice and entertaining professor. He cares about his students and is always willing to help. He has a few projects each semester where you create a presentation and present to the class, but your grade only rides on the 2-3 presentations.

You will do 3 or 4 presentations and he is very understanding as well as really nice and cares for his students. He will constantly ask his students if any of them have questions to make sure they understand. He will also make sure that they are comfortable and give them advice in case they are having trouble being in front of an audience.

This is a one of a kind professor. All he asks for back is a little conversation and appreciation. He was super accommodating/understanding to all students situations and was lenient for due dates. This class was very fun!

He is a very easy and lenient professor. There were only three assignments but they were an easy A. His instructions are super clear and he gives you enough time to complete it. I don't like speaking in front of people but he made it fun and comfortable. Take his class it's a breeze!

This professor is super approachable and gives around 4 ppts to do for the semester. The most important thing, in order to get a good grade, is to do the outline properly. He will show you exactly how he wants it to be. Make sure to also come to class prepared to properly present your topic. He's flexible with deadlines but grades on effort.

First project is solo then the others are optional group projects. They can be fun if you are open to it; & not too difficult. The point is to be organized in speech and powerpoint

Hugo has been one of my favorite professors I've ever taken. His class is very easy, you do not need to have your camera on, and he's overall very chill and easy on grading. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Prof is suuuperrrr chill, very understanding, and you can tell just how much he cares about each of his students. His class is very easy because he makes everything very clear and doesn't assign work. For a communications class, presentations always go smoothly so don't even worry about that. I would definitely recommend him to you.

Professor Hugo is an amazing instructor, his class is super chill, he is extremely nice to his students, very patient and gives help and extensions when needed (if necessary) His assignments main PowerPoint with few outlines, very easy. Amazing professor very passionate about the importance of communication and you can see when he teaches. He is very caring and supportive. The only downside was the way he grades you can't see on CANVA what grade you have you find out at the end. But besides that it is a simple and easy class with fun assignments.

This is the easiest class ever just 3 or 4 presentations, basically simple PowerPoints to share with the whole class. You just need to be comfortable speaking in front of people, even on camera. There are no other tests, exams, or homework. There's a lot of free time, canceled classes, and the professor is very flexible and nice! relaxed semester.

Easy just do your presentation and your outlines, and you will get an A. He is very lenient with deadlines; even if the presentation due date has passed, he will still give you a chance to submit it or present the presentation you are missing.

Very nice fella and actually a good teacher. Class is an easy A but I do recommend paying some attention to his lectures. It's like brief teachings from a chill sage. The PowerPoints are good opportunities to get used to presenting over Zoom (a lot of you people absolutely need to learn this). Highly recommended, wish him nothing but the best.
