Great, great teacher. Lots of fun and very nice. He is not the easiest teacher in the world but he will help you with what ever you need. Spend time in the SLC with Mr. Nguyen and you will do just fine. There is no such thing as an easy a&p teacher. Why not just have fun with Mr. Vu and some something.

This is a difficult class and Dr. Vu makes you work hard for a decent grade. His tests are very difficult, and I felt like they were tricky at times. However, his lectures and powerpoints are clear and concise, and you can do well if you study hard. I really liked his class, and I learned a lot. Dr.Vu is also very approachable and helpful.

I took part I/II in the summer. Although it was fun it was not easy! Dr. Vu is entertaining but he wants to make sure you LEARN, and not memorize the material.

If you like studying so hard your dendrites explode and your axons sizzle, this is the class for you. If you need a few neurons left to study for other classes, skip Dr Vu. He's a nice guy, but you will wish you had used your brain cells a little more wisely.

Dr. Vu is the best if you study hard and are willing to put forth your best effort. He is the best preparation if you are thinking of applying to nursing school at TCC. I had him for AP 1 & 2 and would take more classes with him if I could. If you get his class, consider yourself very lucky!

Dr. Vu is one of the most interesting profs I ever had. He was hard to please, but made me want to excel! I think what I learned in his class put me light years ahead of where I would have been with another teacher. if you're not very smart or hard working, take class with someone else.

Dr. Vu just posted grades for our 1st A&PII exam. I went into the exam feeling well prepared, and walked out thinking I bombed it. Evidently, he is an even better teacher than I thought, because I ended up getting a very high A (with a curve, but I'm still OK with that!!) He is a fantastic instructor who loves what he teaches. Take him!!

Dr. Vu is by far the best teacher I have ever had. I took him for A&P I and II, and I am certain that he has taught me more than any other A&P professor at TCC could ever dream of teaching. He knows what he is talking about, and his passion for the subject shines with everything he says! TAKE HIM! Not taking him would be a disservice to yourself!

Great teacher the best at TCC. He is challenging but you will learn A&P and have fun while doing it. I have taken many classes (working on my second degree) and Dr Vu is in the top 5 of the best teachers I have taken.

His lec tests are very hard, but his lab tests are straightforward. I hated how hard his class was, but afterwards, I was thankful b/c it made my other science classes much easier b/c I learned so much in his class. I barely got an A, but I learned a lot. He is not an easy A, but you will learn a lot. And he is very helpful if you need it.

His class is very hard. I had him for lecture&lab. I worked as hard as I could and managed a "B". He is such a nice guy and really wants you to learn the stuff, but his tests are extremely difficult (you HAVE to know the material front and back!). If you want to really learn, take his class! If your serious about nursing/healthcare, take him!

Took online A&P class. VERY tough class! He says his online class is easier than his on-campus class, but his exams are some of the toughest around-hence the curve given for every test. His tests are based on Powerpoints & online lec notes. A very hard fought "B" I earned.

Dr. Vu will provide you with the best education for your money. Only hardworking, badass smarties need apply if u dont know your stuff he will wipe the floor with you. But if your up for a challenge that will ensure you know anatomy take him. Class isnt too bad if u dont mind a low grade.

Dr. Vu is MIT/Harvard material. His lecture is interesting and entertaining. He makes you want to come to class, and learn. The catch...his exams are extremely difficult despite being multiple-choice. I would still highly recommend him. I took him for AP1 and made a hard fought A. I am currently taking him for AP2.

I had to drop his class this semester because it was very hard and I didn't prepare properly. But he is a very good teacher. His lectures are very entertaining and he cares about all of his students and their grades. Studying everyday is a must. Take him if you want to learn something!

But be advised this is not a class you can slack off, His tests are extremely hard, I unfortunately had to drop the course was too overwhelmed. He gives no extra credit.

Dr. Vu is a outstanding teacher. He is not that hard, you do need to come to class and study though. I learned a lot from his class! I took AP1 with Vu and AP2 with Adams at the same time. Dr Adam is nice and EASY bc i didn't learn anything at all. I'll recommend Vu to anyone.

He is a very hard teacher, but you learn a lot. You have to devote a lot of time to study but if you read the book and go to all of his lectures you will do fine. Almost half of our class dropped by the second test. I just finished A&P1 with him and am taking him for A&P 2. He's hard but worth the learning you get from him.

I took his A&P1 class last Spring and I am finally over my acute case of Vu-itis! He is great, he will help you when you need it. Funny! If you are entering into the Nursing field, you should do really well on the TEAS test if you learn the materials he teaches~

Awesome teacher. He is passionate about what he does, and enjoys watching and helping you to learn all aspects of AP thoroughly. Many teachers loose their passion. Be happy that you have him! Your head might hurt, but you will leave knowing more than you ever thought you would. This is an actual college course. You study and earn your A! Grow up.

Dr. Vu has a bad reputation, but he is amazing. I had him for lecture, not lab. People think they can just show up and get an A? Get a life. If you study his power point slides and pay attention in class, you can do well. He is funny and keeps the class entertained. This is a college class, he's not going to hold your hand. He is a very good teacher! He actually cares about the students understanding and will stop wherever he's gotten to in class, not pressuring following the syllabus like most teachers. He teaches DIRECTLY from powerpoint (NOT BOOK) which is good so that all u have to study is what he teaches in class not all the details the book uses!

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Vu's class. They told me he was hard and he was. However, I remember A LOT from his class which is important if you are entering the medical field. I would take it again! Oh yeah, I do suggest that you take the same teacher for lecture and lab. It will make it easier for you.

AWESOME teacher! Learned a lot! Dont expect to memorize definitions, you need to know the material as a 3D figure (inside & out, top to bottom). B/c he'll twist his test ?s and answers and make it critically challenging if you don't know it completely. If you put in the time & effort to study, you'll do well. Took online class, received a B. Everything is set out for you 3 chapters every 2 weeks, Tests at the campus. Do a 1 discussion board for all 3 chapters including reply to another student. Reply to Email fast. Online was easier to me than the class. Took lab at campus. Nikki Goines.

He's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Dr Vu rocks!!!!!!!!!! His tests are extremely tricky and difficult, but if you do it, you will be very proud of yourself. At the beginning of class, there are 45 students, but at the final exams, that number fell down to 23. Surely Dr Vu's class is not for normal people. But I got an A :)

I took Dr Vu for both A&P 1 & 2. I worked hard and earned an A in both classes. I am now in the TCC Nursing program and can say that how you do in his class is how you will do on the Nursing tests. His tests are similiar to the Nursing tests. Everything you learn in his class you WILL need to know in nursing.

Some teachers do not even know what they are talking about. Dr. Vu is not that type of teacher. He is wise and very knowledgeable. His lecture is extremely interesting and fun. He makes difficult things simple for you to understand. The tests are based on what he said in class, nothing hidden.

I enrolled in his class in fall 2010 after reading all these scary things on here but I'm very pleased to say that he is an amazing teacher! Definitely hard but completley worth it! Dr. Vu is not as hard as everyone makes him sound. I didn't buy text book for this class and never read anything other than the power point notes provided. Just attend class regularly and take good notes since a lot of his questions come from lecture and you will miss those points if you don't attend. Made 100 on every test he gave.

i usually breeze through any class with an A but not his class, you will learn not to procrastinate from his class, made an 88 so i'll probably take the subject again to get that A, i would recommend him if you want to actually learn the material and not forget it as soon as the semester is over, if not there are plenty easy professors out there

He's a very nice man and the smartest teacher I've ever had. He makes you learn a lot but it is not impossible to do well. You have to commit a lot of time to studying! I remember almost everything from that class compared to others where I just forgot everything after.

Coming back to school after 20 years, I took Dr. Vu (AP 1). Beginning of the class I didn't do good (got Cs) but with the help of SI (assigned by Dr. Vu) and my study group I ended up with an A and am taking Dr. Vu (AP2) again, can't wait for the challenges. If you work & study hard, I guarantee you that you will do great in his class.

He is a hard teacher, but he is a fair teacher. He really wants you to know the information he gives and not just float through his class. Just pay attention, show up, and don't get behind, especially if you take it in a 6 weeks summer class, which I did. It wasn't impossible, just time consuming. I even made it out alive and with an A.

Dr Vu not an easy teacher but a very good and clear teacher he will get you to remember things for life. If you aren't a student willing to study DO NOT TAKE HIM you will FAIL, but if you are willing to study you will learn a great amount in this class.

An A from Dr. Vu means more than an A from any professor I've ever had. He loves the material and he is dedicated to making sure you understand it too. I think he is an awesome teacher. He is the dept chair which means that his time gets divided, but students are always 1st. My problem is that while yes, I can understand him, when he's talking about terms I'm not familiar with, I don't know what to write down. I don't get an idea of the spelling because of his accent and it's super frustrating!!

He really is a gifted teacher. His story contributes to his everyday teaching because of what he's been through. His class however is extremely difficult if you've never taken him, and his accent makes his lectures hard to follow at times. Dr. Vu was great. Challenging and not the easiest but you will definitely learn ALOT. Took both A&PI & II in the summer and it was fast and tough. Test are multiple choice, but tricky and make you think. Grades on a curve. Only take in summer if you have no other classes and no job. I studied a lot and got A's in both I & II.

Dr. Vu is a wonderful teacher. He gives a purpose to learning the material, not just the ability to impractically regurgitate information for the semester. I like that his lab practicals make you think critically and not get you used to viewing everything in perfect anatomical position. His lecture exams however, involve obscure critical thinking.

Very hard I hope to escape with a B. I have a bad lab instructor so A&P is hard for this semester. Dr.Vu knows his stuff. Ive defiantly learned a lot. His test will just break you. I wouldn't take him unless you want to be a doctor.

If your goal is to love and understand the information better than you ever have before then take Vu! BUT if you are looking for an easy A...then stay far far away from his class. I have never worked so hard for an A in my entire life, but I've also never appreciated an A so much either. I LOVED Dr. Vu!

I loved Vu's class, but that is only because I like A&P. His class is best for those going in to the nursing field. He goes to a level of depth that isn't necessarily right for other programs. It isn't taught as the survey course it is meant to be. Ex: having to learn a long list of medications, both generic name and brand name

I think everyone going into nursing should take Vu, but anyone having a hard time understanding thick accents should stay away. Also, it's very important that you don't take him if you aren't a VERY fast test taker. You can study all day and night, but there isn't an adequate amount of time allotted for the tests given the depth of the questions.

His class is very challenging specially his tests( he only gives 1hr. for approx. 60 very analitical questions) Take this class seriously, study hard & always record his classes. Dr. Vu is not given proper credit on this page. He is not that hard!! And I am not a genius. It didn't just come easy to me, and I've never had an A&P course before. He gives outrageous curves on every test. They were up to 22 points. If you just take notes on everything he said and study, you will make an A. His tests are not hard if you study.

In order to pass this class you have to read do HW. YOU CANT PROCRASTINATE on this class gives power-points once he gives you the material start studying the test are usually 4 chapters his question are tricky he makes you think he even tells you and you need to know the material because he tricks you on the test and has quizzes gives curves test

If you're actually serious about your career path such as "I wanna be a great nursedoctorradiologist..." then TAKE HIM for both lecture and lab! I was unlucky when taking his courses because he didn't even have time to teach labs. I'm a nurse now and I still remember all the cranial nerves and guess what? His classes saved me in nursing school!!!

I've never actually learned so much with a teacher. He makes sure you understand before moving on. His lab exams were not all that difficult since he gives you a sheet with a list of the things you need to know, BUT his lecture tests were difficult. Use the SLC for the lab exams to review the models. I made it out with a C and I had to work for it.

He is a very good lecture teacher and lab instructor. Well respected by students. This class will not be a breeze though, but I assure you that you will learn. His tests are based off his Powerpoints. Pay careful attention to Clinical Views and things he write on the board. I guarantee they'll always be on the tests.

Hard course but good teacher! He is the real deal! Anatomy is hard and if you want to go into the medical field take him. Test are tuff but in the real world you are dealing with life and death. Knowledge is the only thing you have when you get into the medical field. His class will make you THINK outside the box!!! Be ready to study!

Don't take this class unless you already have prior knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology. He moves very fast (even in an hour and a half lectures). The supplemental instructor was not very helpful either. Not pleased with this class because I studied my gluteus maximus off and still came through with a C.

Dr. Vu is a tough prof because he wants his students to succeed in the medical field. He moves somewhat fast so focus on the stuff he says is cute. Tests are tough, go over the pwrpts & ask questions if you have them. Learn Smart assignments help get you some extra points, do them. I recommend printing the pwrpts and taking good notes. SI helps.

Be ready to study and work for your grade. He doesn't hand out easy grades, and no extra credit is offered. Every point counts, because he won't boost your grade at the end of the semester. Great teacher, and you will leave knowing more that you expected.

VERY HARD! Pharmacology was crazy. First test there were 3 A's, 2 B's, 12 C's - the rest were D & F. The SI was no help whatsoever. I dropped course & will retake with another professor.

Took his class online (lab in person). Online exams were easy if you do the connect homework and study the powerpoints . He's a really great lab instructor, do not skip lab bc he explains and demonstrates everything that will be used for the practicals! Really fun instructor, people who give him a bad rating are because they study last minute.

Dr. Vu is an exceptional teacher. I'm a returning student who already has two degrees and Dr. Vu is one of the better teachers I've had... period. He is passionate about the subject matter and he has high expectations for his students.

Dr. Vu is one of the best professors I have taken. He is a very detailed professor and makes sure his students are being prepared for the medical field. Personally the lecture exams were more tough than the lab practicals. Make sure you go through the slides and record the lectures. No extra credit so doing the learnsmarts is a must. Take him!

Vu has been thru an extremely rough life if you read about his past & His history is a huge motivation for students to excel in his class. He isnt a professor who will let you off easy with grades you want and his class will entail sleepless nights and bloodshot eyes but every one of his passing students is more qualified than anyone elses. takem!

All I can say is GOOD LUCK. Don't try to memorize things, you MUST have a clear understanding of how everything works. He loves to have you put things in order for his tests, and they are miserable to take. This was the hardest A I have ever had to work for. I have always loved science, but now I'm not so sure. Tests are very tricky.

Let me just tell you guys that Dr Vu is a GREAT instructor. He says a lot of information necessary for his lecture tests, so make sure you write everything down and study the powerpoints carefully! All you really need to do is to pay attention in detail of almost everything he says (including his stories!). Take him if youre willing to work hard.

I loved Mr. Vu. He is so passionate about the subject and wants you to succeed. If you have any questions or don't get something he will always explain if needed. You definitely have to study but if you do, you can come out with an A or B easy

Dr. Vu is by far one of the best professors Ive ever had, he definitely expects a lot but he is with you every step of the way to learn it, he welcomes questions and creative thinking. His tests are impossible without good attendance and attention to detail but A&P is so important its very worth it. Love him.

To start Mr. Vu is a great teacher. I took him summer two which was a big mistake because we cram everything in one month. His test are extremely difficult you MUST STUDY. I recorded all his lectures and replayed them. He is super funny and relates topics to real life. If you want to pass do connect, Review Power Points and STUDY,STUDY,STUDY!!!!

Dr. Vu is very passionate about anatomy and physiology. He really wants you to learn and wants you to ask questions. He is funny and very interesting. You do have to study and apply the knowledge, not just regurgitate facts.

I have a BS in Biology, and I am a science teacher. Took the 5 week summer course. I had to work for this A, but I learned so much in his class.. He's a great teacher and very thorough. If you're planning to move forward in health or science, this is the teacher for you. If you're looking for an easy A or B, you're not going to get it with Vu.

Dr Vu is a "tough", down-to-earth teacher who would not only teach his students, but would inspire them to question the order of things so as to understand them better. He is always available and willing to lend a helping hand, but he would challenge his students to "use their heads" by thinking and attempting problem solving. Work hard and make A.

Took Dr. Vu for A&P 1 for summer 1 course. it is a lot of information to take in a summer course- recommend taking over fall or spring if possible. he is passionate about teaching and it shows. tests and quizzes are not easy- you have to study! but it is doable if you study! he is a great resource and wants his students to do well.

I really appreciate Dr. Vu because he cares about his students. His lectures are great because he adds little stories which makes lectures fun. I would totally recommend. If you put your work in, you will receive the grade you want.

Pro. Vu is an amazing instructor who wants his students to succeed and learn the subject well. So if you're looking for an easy A, it's not the class for you. He makes you work for every point and exams can be tricky. Be sure to use resources online, book, SLC, and one-on-one with him in his office. It's hard, but worth it for med majors.

If you're looking for an easy class or an easy A Dr. Vu isn't it. But, if you're looking to be challenged and actually learn the material Dr. Vu is your guy! This class is a difficult subject and Dr. Vu's tests are difficult but, he is an amazing teacher. He can hold your attention and is great at explaining. His passion and care is evident.

Dr. Vu is the professor I think all Pre-Med and Pre-Nursing students should take. His lectures are fun and easy to follow, and his tests are logic based. He really makes you think about what exactly youre doing as opposed to just absorbing information only to forget it later. His exams are hard but I thought they were fun too. 10/10.

He did curve almost every test and extra questions to boost your score. Get ready to study hard and if you don't understand something ask him. I took Dr. Vu for Summer 2020 and it was a challenge but nothing too crazy. Although the course was only five weeks, Dr. Vu made sure to go through all of the material. His exams are based on his lectures and are diferent from what I have had before but they were fun nonetheless. He is the guy to take if you truly want to learn the material.

Very funny man and has a strong accent. Don't expect an easy A. Vu does care a lot for his students and wants you to succeed however his exams are very hard! Apply yourself and study and you'll do just fine!

If you have to take an anatomy course, TAKE DR. VU!!!! Never in my 20 years of life have I come across a teacher that is so caring, funny, and instructs so well. He takes his time to ensure that everyone understands what's going on and even though he is tough and anatomy is a hard class, if you actually want to learn take him!!

I took his accelerated course and it was very stressful but I would have failed if I had any other prof. I wish he taught every subject bc this man is truly an amazing professor!

This is the best professor I could have asked for taking this class. Anatomy and Physiology is hard but he has a way of explaining the material to where you will understand it. He easily accessible and will answer all your questions. Definitely have to work for your grade but as long as you put in the effort you will pass. Highly recommend!

Amazing class! He goes really in-depth, but that's good, it helps to get a good understanding of the topic. Lectures are PACKED with information. I mean it. But take really good notes and pay good attention and you should be perfectly fine! He gives NO extra credit.. but does add extra questions to the test which serves as extra credit.

I took Dr. Vu for both AP1 & AP2 in 2020. His lectures are great. He breaks things down so they're understandable and makes jokes to be engaging. He cares for his students success. However, he does not cut any slack!! EVERYTHING he goes over in lecture, he expects you to take notes and study for. If you do not study A LOT, YOU WILL NOT PASS!!

I honestly can't say enough good things about this prof. He was so happy to be doing his job, which made me hate the class way less. The class is still hard. But if you always make an effort to attend lecture, pay attention, and REACH OUT if you're struggling, he will be there for you. You get out of this class what you put in.

Dr. Vu was one of THE BEST instructors I have ever had. Although he spoke fast and was sometimes challenging to understand, his passion for and knowlege of his subject shone through. I havent meet a professor like him in my entire school year. Very fair & passionate of his teaching career, detailed & organized with PowerPoint and examples. Its been 10 yrs. + I havent been in school I thought everything will be very hard for me to fathom but he make it very clear and understandable but YOU MUST DO YOUR PART. STUDY Harder.

Amazing lectures that are fun and also inspirational. His lectures help simplify the ambiguity of the topics but you still have to do your work to keep up with the demands of the course. A&P is very broad, it requires you put in a lot of time and effort, but it is also interesting. ��

Dr. Vu is awesome and always keeps lectures interesting, however his exams are extremely difficult but as long as you do your work and study hard enough you will do great in this class.

Dr. Vu is very passionate about A&P and it shows in his lectures. Tests questions have tricky wording because he wants you to fully understand the material and use logic to determine the correct answer. Study hard and ask questions if something doesn't make sense. He wants his students to succeed.

Dr Vu is an AMAZING professor. One of the things I loved most is that he teaches with passion & he cares so much about his students. His exams are no joke. They are lecture heavy, when he says "know that," KNOW IT. My best advice is to print out his slides, highlight, take notes on what he says, record his lectures, and go back and listen to them.

Dr. Vu is probably the best prof I've ever had. His lectures are thorough, clear, and engaging. He is passionate about A&P and actually cares about his students and wants them to learn. His syllabus is very straightforward and no surprises. His tests are EXTREMELY hard, so prepare to take good notes and study.

His lectures are fast-paced but fun. I had him in Summer I and I have him again in Summer II. His lectures follow his power point presentations but these follow the textbook. If you truly want to learn and show up to class...he is willing to help and very accessible. You can tell he really loves teaching too! He is tough but very fair-minded.

Dr. Vu is absolutely PHENOMENAL. I took him for AP 1 and 2, and I give him SO much credit for my success in the Nursing program. He doesn't want you to memorize - he wants you to COMPREHEND. He has a great heart, and he will push you. You can't slack. You have to study HARD. But if you do, you'll learn so much and it sticks with you.

Dr. Vu is one of the best professor I took so far. I took him for AP1 & AP2 and passed the class with a good foundation knowledge for nursing school. His exam is critical thinking but he gives extra question for extra credit. Take him and you will be good in medical field. Do 1-2 hours everyday so you will not be overwhelmed for exam.

great professor! This class is hard! recording lectures is THE BEST. I have PTSD hearing recorded lectures over & over. Tests are difficult, messes with the wording. put in work! I got As on tests. uses real life to relate so u remember. quizlet is ur bff. GO TO CLASS OR U WILL NOT PASS. He sometimes forgets dry erase markers have one on hand. lol

He is a good professor! very intense and passionate about what he's teaching. His test are very, very hard!! about 80% dropped the class before it ended. If you study hard then you will make a decent grade but you have to put in the time. If you don't have time, then be cautious about taking him!!

Extra credit is given every exam. He offers 5 extra questions for a potential 10 extra points every exam, including the final. Lectures are tough and long but very in depth. Exams are based off clearly based off reviews provided. Difficult course but if you want a good, communicative professor who knows his material: Dr. Vu is your guy.

Great professor. He goes in depth with his lectures and they're very entertaining in a way. He offers up to 16 pts on each exam and the exams were over his lecture and slides so pay close attention to every detail and word! he cares for those who care to pass. To pass though you need to put in a lot of effort but that's expected for this class.

Vu covers a lot; I recorded lecture audio & use it to review. AP's really tough & usually, I get C's & D's, but changed study habits to do well! Vu likes adding pathophysiology/pharmacology to his material so he's good for pre-nurses. Keep up with & use his given Objectives lists (essentially review guides) to prep for exams. He's caring & fair.

OMG he is amazing! His lectures are long but fun, his powerpoints are very helpful when studying, and he has a comprehensive final. He does have a bit of an accent but his words are clear and has a good sense of humor. He opens 10 question quizzes occasionally and has 3 lecture exams. Overall awesome and would take again!

Dr. Vu is a great professor, but you have to put in the time to pass. He will tell you what you need to know for exams and he uploads online quizzes for extra points and to give you an idea of what type of questions to expect on exams. I wouldn't recommend taking during summer if you have work because it is a difficult course.

I took Dr. Vu for summer A&P 2 , he was such a great professor and his lectures were very helpful and he definitely sets you up for success and really tests your knowledge on the material. It is not an easy class but if you put in the work and study you will do great and take the things you learned in this class and wont forget it.
