he is a very cool instructor! the lecture meterials are excellent and he uses a lot of outside resources to make the lecture more fun. only 3 exams of the whole semester!

Hands down my favorite professor. If I was capable of doing so, I would have him for EVERY one of my classes. He makes the class a lot of fun even though it is already quite interesting. Hunter is just a great professor all around. He's super smart, and his lectures are always fun. He makes the class memorable, so it's quite easy to do well on tests as long as you go over the study guide. Attendance is not mandatory but to receive a good grade you have to go to classes. He rarely uses anything that is in the book and his personality is great. Highly recommend.

This guy is amazing! Attendance isnt mandatory but his class makes you want to come and learn. You will not be dissapointed he is very engaging and his exams are so str8 fwd it is literally from the study guide. If you fail his exam you either missed all his exam or didnt show up. 3 exams thats it. Talks alot about Homosexuals in his classes tho.

I took PSYCH 170 with Hunter during the summer & have no regrets. He makes it easy & fun to be in class. He welcomes discussion & if he doesn't know the answer to something he googles it right when you ask him. Instead of making you look it up online later. He really does want to educated people. Not a stressful class as long as you pay attention.

Fantastic Professor! I didn't even get the textbook. Everything is from lecture, so its best togo. gives a review sheet which are all the questions that are on test. So if you do the review sheet you will surely get a 100 on the test. The class is interesting. you have to try to attend all classes b/c the questions are specific things from class.

As a professor for a sex psych class, he makes everyone comfortable. He is very clear and knowledgeable; drawing on many past researches and examples as he lectures. His review sheets are a MUST-DO. Most of it is based on lecture material, so attendance is recommended. I don't attend all the time but I got an A. I learned ALOT from him, though!

Professor Kincaid is very knowledgeable about the material. He makes the class fun and interesting. There are 4 short response papers, 1 research paper, a midterm and a final. I enjoyed taking the class for the summer! I would definitely remind taking him!

So amazing that I took him for 3 classes. So simply dressed, yet such an intriguing person in general. Makes great use of clinical research and real life examples. Taking his social psych was completely worth my Saturday mornings. I would take this class again in a heartbeat. Do not miss the opportunity to take a class with Prof Kincaid!!!!! No textbook so that means you have to go to every class, but his lectures are insightful and sometimes totally entertaining.

My mind has definitely been opened by taking this class, and I remember everything I've learned in order to inform others. My only con is when he would cancel an 8am class at 6:30am on the SAME day, but besides that he's awesome!!!!

Wow he is awesome. He presents his lectures so well organized, a cornucopia of fantastic knowledge on the subject of women's Psych & feminism as well as gender issues in the world. I could listen to him talk all day, his humor and intelligence is unique. A very honest, caring person who shares real life events to help you see & understand more.

I adore him and his informative lecture. No textbooks. Only his funny and colorful lecture. He's a very easy grader. It's easy A if you do all your assignments as best as you can. He's lenient also. His tests are short answers, but just remember the important facts, and like I said, EASY A

Hunter is an amazing lecturer and an awesome person. His rubric is crystal clear and anyone would be lucky to have him for the classes that he teaches, it was always a pleasure coming to his classes.

Professor Kincaid was very involved and present during class, gave incredible lectures and brought a lot of information not given in the textbook. Assigned some papers that required some observations of various environments, tests were HEAVILY based on lectures, so definitely should attend, but they are entertaining so you'll want to.

Professor Hunter Kincaid has been by far my favorite professor since I've been at Hunter College and any other college. He is extremely intelligent, open minded, charismatic and professional. I am taking another class with him this semester and I recommend everyone to take his courses. Class with him, one actually learns and wants to attend.

He is a great professor. He is very clear on his lectures, he has 3 exam short answers, some reading response and a paper due at the end of semester. The best professor I ever had at Hunter. 3hr winter class and time just flew by. Lectures are interesting and funny and you take out a lot more than what you go in with. He's very flexible and willing to help students before a deadline approaches. 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 paper, no textbook and attendance isn't taken. All the exams had study guides.

He's a great professor. He gives 2 exams and a final, all of which are short-answer questions - NO multiple choice. However, not a bad thing since you will (1) learn more from the material and (2) have more wiggle room to defend your answer. Gives reading responses and a research paper. I don't rate teachers but when I got on here I was not surprised to see that this is the top professor in the school. His lectures are amazing and you learn so much. The Greatest of All Time.

He was actually one of my favorite psych professors. He's really funny and teaches well. I don't regret taking this class even though it was just for the core requirements! I would definitely say read the readings that he has assigned because they are always on the exams. Besides that I had no real problems in this class.

I truly loved his class. The way he discusses things beyond the power point makes me really pay attention in his class out of my own volition. I barely studied for exams and got A+s not because the exams are particularly easy, but because it is sooo easy to remember his lectures. The way he speaks really helps with remembering things. Love it!

Believe the hype. Hunter is AMAZING. The class consists of 3 exams which he gives VERY clear study guides for, 1 research paper which you can choose whatever topic you want as long as it's related to human sexuality and weekly responses that are EXTREMELY simple. He is A+, hunty. Do recommend.

He's really a great guy, you never get bored with him since he makes the lessons interesting and interactive. He is also very easy to talk to since he doesn't put off the usual aura of superiority that some teachers give off. Also he is very easy on the eyes which can be a plus.

THE best professor I've had BUT you will have to work hard for that A/A+. All his exams are written, not multiple choice so you really have to make sure you understand the material instead of simply memorizing it. Readings are sooo important. If you skip out on reading, you won't get higher than an 80 on the exams.

Hunter is the BEST professor I took so far here. He makes up for all the crappy ones here. His lectures are clear and easy to understand, you HAVE to do the readings because their on the exam and doing to summaries also determines if you get a B or an A in the course. You have to put in work, but he's great honestly not a very difficult course.

Hunter Kincaid's vibrant and electric personality is one of the best of all of Hunter College's personnel. He does not assign textbook as he posts his readings on Blackboard in order to save students money, and these readings are far from boring. His test are simple, straight from his lecture and slides. Easy A class so long as you do your work.

There is a lot of reading and his exams require you to actually know your stuff but coming from a person that never reads/studies and passed his class shows how great of a lecturer he is.

One of the best professors at, not only the department, but at Hunter. He is a true gem! Always willing to help students, give extensions on reading responses (which don't take that long to do regardless), and his exams are straight forward-- straight from the lecture. He is very funny and an excellent professor. He gets sick quite often and cancels class a few times. His exams are very straight forward, from the lectures and reading assignments. They are 10 short response questions however he provides a study guide beforehand so you know what to study.

An amazing professor who is passionate about what he teaches! Once made all of us (100 kids) laugh. He usually puts up the slides and readings on BB to save money and so that you can catch up in case you were not in class (attendance is not mandatory, BTW). The only downside is that the exams are short answer. Great professor, highly recommend.

Literally went to about 3 lectures this semester and will be getting an A+. This class is very easy as long as you complete the review sheets (everything is on the ppts). VERY interesting lectures, normally not much homework (except typing this during Covid-19 outbreak) so there are reading responses. He posts all powerpoint slides inadvance. Exams, you need to know the readings as well as lecture topics. All exams are 10 questions handwritten.

No need for participation really just do your hw. 3 hours lectures can be a bit heavy but you can tell he really knows and enjoys what he is talking about and uses a lot of examples from his own experiences. Hw readings are a bit difficult to understand but manageable. Very lenient grader, easy to have a good grade.

MUST TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He is the best professor in all of Hunter College. All his papers besides the final are pass or fail. There are only a couple of one-page responses that the answers could be found based on the readings. He gives extra credit most of the time and is very caring to his students. He understands every college students' pain.

At the moment I am still taking this course so my opinion is very raw and unfiltered since I have not received a final grade yet. Taken FA21, if you are going to take a psych class, especially relating to gender/sex, take Hunter. The lectures were informative and class time was utilized very well. Good lecturer. He's passionate and understands the stuff he teaches. You could get a good grade by literally writing anything on his tests/essays as long as you sound like you know whats happening. I didn't want to write 2 essays for class along with homework and 2 exams but I spent a few hours writing some bs on the paper and got full points.

Hunter is an AMAZING professor. He really knows what he is teaching, and you can tell he enjoys it. There are a couple writing responses (1.5-2 pages), 2 tests and 1 paper for this course. He gives study guides for the tests which are exactly the same, so know your stuff bc it's short answer. We love Hunter and hate Montana in this house (if ykyk).

Dr. Hunter is a cutie and a whole vibe! His class consisted of 5 reading responses, a midterm exam, a final exam, and a 5-page peer review paper. All reading materials were provided on the first day of class! I strongly recommend you read all the materials provided and take notes during lecture - will for sure be on the exam/final!

My one issue was that I lost I think a few more points than I deserved to lose for basically getting one word, not even 'wrong', but one word on the essay that could have been slightly better. Exams are 10 short essays and you have to memorize a lot of stuff in preparation for them and losing more than one point for something so minor felt unfair.

I met Professor Kincaid when I started to enroll in Psychology of Human Sexuality-PSYCH 170 class for summer term of 2025. I have Professor Kincaid this semester for Sex Education Policy class. I want to express that I had an incredible experience having Professor Kincaid and he's my role model because he provided me the academic support.
