This guy will give your money's worth and much more. Don't expect to leave early, and don't be a child on this man's class. Be good and kind and you will get A's like most of my class did. The one's that didnt were the ones that kept asking him how to do fractions on the board.

This man is so good. His test are multple choice you al you have to do is know your stuff. But Make sure you can understand an indian accent but other than that he is great.

This is a good professor. He has a very thick accent so it is difficult to understand him at times but he will explain until you understand. Very helpful professor. Pay attention in his class and you will definately get a good grade. You will learn in this class.

Very good professor. I wasn't really interested in taking it at first but he teaches so well that he makes you understand the material, which peaks your interest. I enjoyed taking the class. Chemistry is generally not easy but if you take notes and study what he teaches you won't have any problems on his test. And his final isn't cumalative!

Professor Abbasi is a wonderful teacher! Take his class. He knows the material and is extremely organized. Chemistry is not that easy, so it is helpful to go to every class. I took the web-enhanced class and all his quizzes were online (very easy). He even gave some extra credit assignments to help your grade. Also, his final is not commulative!

His handwriting is hard to read sometimes and he has a stong accent but after the 1st week you'll get used to it. He gives extra credit and reviews for all the test which just like the test. If you study you will get at least a B. He's a really good teacher. I highly recommend him. I'm taking him again for 1041.

DO not worry about this indian accent because if you do not understand ask him and he will try to make you understand with very simple examples. I thought chemistry would be hard but when i took me it didnt seem as hard as everyone made it seem. He's teaching skills are good and he makes the work easy for you to understand. One thing i have to warn you about him he doesn't like when you dnt answer him when he asks you a question in claas. Taking he's class i found chemistry very interseting

His tests are fairly easy. his chapter quizzes are taken online. Final isnt cummulative. Little to no textbook usage because all powerpoints are online. Just a bit of an accent is the only downside

Professor Abbasi was a great chemistry teacher. I had him this past semester for 1045 and got an "A". He teaches off of power point presentions and rarely if ever uses the textbook, though this is not a fault, as his teaching method is clear and more helpful in explaining the tougher topics. His tests aren't hard and are based on what he goes over.

He was a great teacher! Knows exactly what he's talking about. Didn't use book in class, but used it a lot for studying at home. Gave 4 exams. A quiz on each chapter online. His exams can be difficult, but it's all material learned in class JUST STUDY! I am one that worries about accents and I understood him, it's not that bad. It's worth it!!!

of course chm is not easy.. but with the rite professor it can be ok.. 1. attend all classes to keep up. 2. do the questions in the book of the chptr that was coverd most of them is on the quizzes. 3. what is given on the review for finals, 90% is on the finals.

He is one of very few prof. that gives e.c. and practice reviews for tests. He flies through material too fast. His notes on the board are all over the place. Reviews are good for practice but nothing like the tests. Tests are fair but a long for the amount of time we have to actually take it. I thought he was OK, his style is not for everyone.

This is a very good chem professor. I took him for 1040 and am going to take him again for 1041. His accent takes a little getting used to but after that, just pay attention and do a little reading and you will pass his class. Ended up with an A in 1040.

I took this Professor because he was highly recommended from his past students. I now see why. He explains the material so simply. It is not an easy class, but he is a good teacher. You have to definitely study, its chem. He is very helpful and encourages students to come to his office. He does give practice pages (no points) but they do help.

CHEM is a hard subject, especially if u don't care for it. This prof makes it understandable, interesting,& even adds humor. I took this course in the summer; I put in a lot of work & a lot of studying, but it pays off. Best CHEM prof at south campus! I Highly recommend him. Not an easy 'A'but very attainable. I took him for the fall semester, and let me tell you. He is a good professor. However,if you have problems understanding his Arabic accent it may hinder you from learning. I think he is a great teacher, but I had a hard time understanding him. his accent was to thick form me. I went to lab @South campus, and the lab teacher was stinks.

Summer Semester 2012.- Get the book and the CD for his class because you will use both. Quizzes are online. I took three exams and final. You can drop one exam but make sure you get an A on two of them so that you can afford to get a B on final . Funny guy but a little lazy and impatient. He gives extra credit in exams. Dr. Abbasi is great! I took him at NSU. Chemistry is not easy at first, but he made the class interesting and teaches the material extremely well. Class was only once a week, so I'm surprised at how much I learned. He uses PowerPoint and works out most problems on the board while he gives you hints to remember things. Definitely recommend.

He not that great for lab. Gives you a midterm and a final exam. Make sure you do all the pre lab questions on the lab report and answer them correctly. Lab reports worth more than exams. And he grade the lab reports and checks for accuracy. Make sure you get everything right tho! Good for lecture but that great for lab.

Took his class first during the first half of this summer semester. I could not have had a better experience. He teaches really well and gives examples that are relevant. He also has a good sense of humor . As long as you attend class, do the practice questions at the end of the chapters, and know how to use your calculator, you can get an A :)

He's a very good chemistry teacher I would recommend him it's not an easy class and he's not patient as other teachers he's a real college teacher. Study and do your home work it's worth more than anything in the class I swear. He's a good teacher.

This professor has been teaching chem for quite some time - you can tell that he is not only extremely familiar with what he is teaching, but also what the students need more time with and what you'll need to know for future chem courses. Do NOT skip class, keep studying and make sure to do well the first test (he drops the lowest of 3).

Abassi is a great professor! He teaches very thoroughly and with the online quizzes and a little bit of studying, no reason why you cant get a solid A or B.

I never write reviews, only writing because I went to see if anyone reviewed Abassi lately saw a few bad ones and just want to say those were probably by the kids who didnt pay attention and didnt put time to understand the material. Yea abassi has a lil attitude but hes extremely funny and very helful. His office hours are very flexible

He is a really good teacher, however he acts like his students automatically know the material. He breezes through and when you get his exam you'll want to cry out of confusion. You have to study everyday.

Brilliant Professor!!! I had him for 1045, 1045L and taking 1046 now and absolutely love this guy! Yes, He is by far not an easy prof but you will actually know the material! All you need to do is to study a lot. Thanks to Abbasi I enjoy chemistry now) take him!!!!!!!

Professor Abbasi is an amazing and caring professor I am very fortunate that I had him for 1032 lecture and 1032 lab He likes to help his students. His explanations are crystal clear. I highly recommend students to take his class. His teaching style and technique is very organized. Students who take him are lucky.

I took this class after previously dropping it with another professor. Professor Abbasi is well organized and has a style that makes it easier to relate the material to every day use. I got an A, but it took hard work and effective studying not just hard studying. "definitely visit the tutors" Take him and you'll be happy you did.

Mr Abbasi is awesome! I learn in his class. He uses mastering chemistry website and never posts grades on d2l but everything is on the mastering website. There are weekly assignments given there and you get your exams grades there as well. Getting an A so far. He's funny and explain really well. He does have an accent but you'll get used to it.

This professor is awesome. He really tries to make chemistry seem very fun and easy. Very smart and funny. His tests are easy as long as you take time to study. He is willing to help you and give extra credit. I would take him again.

Took him fall semester. Great teacher. He's clear from the beginning that you must study hard and work for you grade... Even with the best teacher, chemistry just isn't an easy subject so you have to hit the books and go to the LRC after class! He has office hours available to help you or discuss your grade. He gives a few extra credit! Take him!:)

Abbasi is an amazing professor! He is passionate about Chemistry and I absolutely love his class. He inspired me towards learning and loving Chemistry. I'm an art major and I passed his class. Visit his lab hours they're very helpful. I recommend him to all Chemistry or Science majors. He is the BEST!

We're not in high school here so of course you have to be dedicated to studying and practicing the problems. Practice makes perfect. Any chemistry classs is going to be hard but he explains so clear. Great professor! I REALLY enjoyed his class! it is a tough subject but a little effort can take you VERY far! This is not an easy class, no science class is. Get ready to read and study hard!! He goes slow during his lectures, he's patient up to some extreme. He answers and explains any questions. Would definitely recommend him!! Taking him for Chm1041 and Chm1045L. Will also take him for Chemistry 2.

He loves what he does and he could be a great teacher. He just did not have things together and every class everyone was so confused about everything but what he talked about in class. It was his first half and half class and he had no idea how anything worked with the assignments,test,quiz etc.. If he was an inclass teacher only her would be great

Professor Abbasi was my chem prof. for 1045 and 1046. He LOVES chem and he certainly knows how to teach it! I did not visit his office hours too often except when I really needed help. I studied a lot and there is homework that is super helpful. It is not an "easy" A but you should get an A if you study, do your hw, and attend class. AMAZING prof!!

Professor Abbasi is an EXCELLENT professor. I would DEFINITELY recommend him. His lectures are lively, he's knowledgeable, & he has a sense of humor. You WILL need to study. Once a month there's a short online quiz for hw. I used the practice questions in the book to study & got an A on every test. His class is not an easy A but can be if you study

Dr. Abassi's CHM 1045 class is no joke. With that being said Chemistry in general is not easy, but he made it crystal clear. I studied A LOT but I ended the semester with an A. Follow his notes, go to class, study from the powerpoints (he gives TONS of examples) and you will do just fine. He is an awesome professor and would def. take him again.

Excellent professor! Took him for all my chemistry classes and I learned a lot. The classes were very difficult and a lot of studying and practice is required but he does his best to make sure you understand what you are studying. I wish he taught organic as well!

One of the best professors ever. It's not that he is easy or that he will give extra-credit to let you pass but the way in which he explains concepts is phenomenal, granted his test do require that you do personal studying on your own if you want to get an A, but do not let that deter you from talking him, science majors #1 choice

Professor Abbasi is great. He does not over complicate the subject matter and is willing to work with you during his office hours. The class is tough but he is upfront about it at the beginning and tries to make it fair by dropping your lowest test grade. I work nights and his lectures kept me up and gave me a better understanding of the subject

Abbasi is the best, chemistry is hard generally speaking so you will study. He breaks it down as simple as possible. BE SURE TO ACE THE MYCHEMLAB QUIZZES they help a lot with your grade. I am taking him again next semester for chem 2.

Just finished CHM1046 6 week course. I would definitely recommend Abbasi, although you have to put in the time because chemistry is not easy. He is really funny and loves what he does. Provides many in class examples and also posts his notes online as well as study guides. Available at office hours if you want him to work out a problem for you.

Let me break it down to you, how to pass his class: do NOT miss a single class, take notes for every single chapter that he goes through. DO NOT miss any quiz. For every test he has a chapter review online, PRINT those out and practice those problems over and over again. Do not read the book, DO PRACTICE problems. overall AMAZING teacher

This guy is a genius and definitely loves chemistry! The tests are tough, but if you take notes in class in order to study instead of reading the book you'll do fine. He does get angry sometimes, but I feel like he raises his voice when students get things wrong in order to get it to stick in your head, idk, it worked for me. I got an A.

Pay attention in class and take well detailed notes so you can understand. Lectures are tough because he goes fast with a lot of info but they are taught well!! Skip class? You will miss a lot of info related towards tests. Do study guides which helps for tests. Just practice problems and formulas at least twice a week. Taking him for CHM1046

Abbasi is awesome! I am taking him now for 1046 as well. Take notes, do ALL the online quizzes, and do his review packets a few times before the test and you will ace his class!! He lectures a bit fast but he is always available in his office and open to help you. I love the structure of his class. It is not extremely difficult but a challenge! :)

Prof Abbasi is awsome! I mean you must be willing to do your part. before this class I was very skeptical about Chemistry. When I saw a formula I used to wonder what that is. Now with Mr. Abbasi, I believe I can teach Chemistry. He is not an easy professor if it is what you want. but the fact is if you are here to learn you will enjoy him. A +

Love this professor!! He's one of the best teachers I've had at Broward. His lectures are interesting and easy to understand. His tests are very fair and he gives a study guide for each chapter. Choose him and you won't regret it.

Amazing lecture. Explains things in an easy way to understand. Quizzes for each chapter are online (mastering chem. access code required). 3 exams +final. He isnt approachable, but knows his material. Hard to sometimes keep up w/ him - goes by material fast pace. I used txtbk to help as well but it isnt needed. Take notes, study you'll be fine

He is one of the best professors in Chemistry. He teaches step by step all the chems from 1040-1046. He is very detailed oriented. For students who struggle with Chem or Math he is a God savior. He is funny and very realistic. The mastering Chemistry homework will help you a lot. Study everyday and redo the class excercises and you will pass :)

Really nice man and there for you during his office hours. His lectures are super fast and he covers plenty of subjects in one class. Make sure u show up to class so you won't miss any examples and so you could understand the concept better. He has 3 exams (drops the lowest grade) and a final. Do the hw and pay close attention to the reviews.

Had him for chem 1045 & 1046 and passed both with an A. His lectures are super informative. To study, go over one notes questions over and over and his reviews! I usually try to look up more questions similar to ones in the reviews and on one notes to study. This class takes a lot of time and practice.

He is a very good prof. His teaching way is very brief and covers everything you need to know for tests. That's why he is very fast sometimes. No homework only a few online quizzes. Do reviews and go over his onenote. Study those 2 you will get at least a B.

Great teacher! Clear of what he expects from you (except in his lab, sometimes he's unclear of what he wants: Note, he ALWAYS wants the post lab, even if he doesn't specify it). He explains things clearly and is always open to help out his students. However, if you do not put the effort into studying, you will fail.

His tests were relatively easy compared to the homework. All multiple choice expect 1-2 written questions worth 10 points each. Makes chemistry fun to learn and has real life examples to help teach. 3 tests drop the lowest one ( 200 points), final exam (135 points), homework(aka mastering quizzes) 100 points. Extra credit available.

He will forever be my favorite professor at broward college! He is def a hard professor but he really wants you to learn and completely understand the material. Easy lab if you follow what he says in class. If you go to his office hours youll be fine. He is a tough grader for lab but that will teach you not to make the same mistakes. DONT FORGET YOUR UNITS IN YOUR CALCULATIONS!!!!! easy A. easy practical if you study well.

One of the favorite professors, he's so nice and if he sees you need help he will reach out and try his best. If you do all the hw and extra credit and try your best in the tests you shouldn't get less than a C. You really have to pay attention and practice and work for it.

My favorite professor! Teaches concepts in a way it's easy to understand. Entertaining in some way. Because of him I love chem now! If you want to learn and understand chemistry - take him! Tests could be not easy, but he never asks for something he didn't teach.

A good professor. Chemistry is not my strong-suit but he teaches in a way that you're able to understand the material. Very approachable, willing to help out or clarify as much as he can. Homework is all online, so there's opportunity to get extra points there. Test are short, and nothing more than what he teaches in class. Take him!

10/10 recommend him for lecture. He tries to makes chm easier. His accent is a little tough to understand at some points. Solid teacher. DO NOT take him for lab tho. He made the lab WAY more difficult then the lecture. The lecture class was great the lab class was truly awful

Attendance is taken but not for a grade. He is a great professor and really knows the material. He can be a bit intimidating at first but make a little bit of an effort to ask him questions about the material and make sure to study and you will be sure to succeed in the class!

Abbasi isnt the teacher for you if your not ready to work on your own and study. Science was never my strongest subject but I suggest you come to class and do the homework. The homework will boost your grade because you have three quizzes and the final, so theres no room to mess up. GO TO CLASS! If you miss one class, its honestly over for you

The professor has a very bad first impression and seems very intimidating, however, once you get to know him you'll discover he actually does care about the students. This is Chemistry 1, one of many pre recs for med school, of course the class is hard. You will have to work hard to get an A. But he teaches very well and gives enough extra credit.

This is the best science professor at BC!! He explains difficult chemistry topics very well. At first i thought he had an attitude but then i realized he has a sarcastic sense of humor which i later learned to love and made the class very enjoyable. The class consisted of 3 test , about 8 hw, and the final exam. He extends hws and give extra credit

Tbh I was a little scared because of the reviews but I had to take his lab, and this was the only one that worked with my schedule. His personality can come off as rude to some people but that is how he is it's his humor and his lab was good and he let us turn in the lab report late. But I suggested him for lab it was only a small class too.

Fair professor overall. Final grade is determined by a lot of points / assignments / etc, so you have a lot of opportunity to get a good grade. He is very responsive over email and gives good feedback- you just have to be communicative & ask questions. Would take again.

He gets mad when you don't participate and if you ask to repeat something I would always be so nervous to ask for anything other than that he gives you many chances to pass the class and his lectures are very thorough and not read from a power point which I really enjoyed he teaches you the important stuff I would take him again overall

I was personally juggling a bunch of classes along with working in the semester, i was struggling in his class, it wasn't easy but i feel if I had more dedication my grade would've been better, despite almost failing he helped me pass and I am forever grateful, he saw I actually cared about passing and he made sure i was okay. You should take him.
