Mr. Tim is a very cool teacher, I took him for 093 & College Algebra both in the summer. It was fast paced, since it was such short time, but IF YOU HANDLE MATHXL YOU SHOULD PASS. He is big on attendance also. He gives you PLENTY of chances to get a good grade, so if you don't that's all on you.

YOU MUST ATTEND EVERY CLASS OR YOU CANNOT KEEP UP! Otherwise, he's the cutest and friendliest teacher in the entire world. His classes are fast-paced but he's so helpful and easy to understand.

I took him for College Algebra. The class itself is a ton of work both in class and at home so you will not do well if you don't "handle it." The teacher is fantastic! Mr. Tim is an amazing math teacher! He is very picky about attendance and Math XL counts into your grade but thats what helped my grade. Gives 4 tests, drops one, and if you were in class for all quizzes (which is only one question over the stuff he taught that day) he will replace your test grade with quiz grade. Very happy with his class!

Mr. Tim is amazing! He explains everything multiple time and makes sure everyone understands.He's class is pretty easy. He does give out quizzes but its 1 question and he lets u know which question its gonna be and when.its open notes open book. he also helps you out if you get stuck. he gives out great reviews. You must pay attendant b/c his daily quizzes. It's true, he's nice/funny but very picky on the attendant. If you're stop by his office for the questions, he will help you any way he can. Highly recommended.

The Best Online Class ever, got A for his Online College Algebra. I registered for the Online Algegra but stop by his office to get help as needed. He is really care for you.

Pr. Ngo exploitations are way too detailed!! I was getting bored and played with my cellphone during the lectures that made my participation grade go down to 80%. In addition, he gives 10% for attendance, but since I missed too many classes, I made “B” in his class even though my test results average were “A”.

He is a very good teacher with sens But tons of work for his class: over 400 problems for home work, 16 questions for each test which is must spend more than 3 hours to finish. Highly recommended if you're in engineering majors. Otherwise,stay away.

Mr. Tim is very funny, easy going. Love his class. Study, take notes, do homework. Have 3 Test, 1 final, drops the lowest grade for test and replace it with the final exam if grade is high. Test is exact same as review. Good luck.

Prof: Tim is better than the best!!! I took his pre cal in Spring and Cal 1 in Summer I. I would love to take his Cal II class but he is not teaching in Summer II. He is a great instructor for students who wanna LEARN and show up in class on time. Attendance is not mandatory but he won't answer your questions in detail if you often miss class.

I dare you to find a more passionate and dedicate teacher. He breaks down topics very well and will spend time with you outside of class teaching you. Tim is the type of teacher who makes you love a subject. Keep it up Tim you are the best.

His only down side is his strong accent which was not a problem for me but can be for some don't worry about that he explains and Im sure u will undestand.

I gave the easiness a 2 only because I'm horrible at math. This is the second college Algebra class I took online (had to drop the first) and I actually finished with a B! I spent about 16 hours a week on the assignments. Prof is quick to reply to your emails. The deadlines are not hard deadlines but you should stick to them or you'll fall behind.

He's such an amazing professor. There should be NO excuse whatsoever for anyone to fail his class. He gives you SO MANY chances to keep you from failing. Do your work!!! He will repeat himself over and over again til you understand the problem. He's easy to talk to and incredibly funny.

Good Professor, tough class, not given even one formula for the Tests. The Tests are way too long with 16 questions, took me 3 hours to finished. I got A anyway. He is a very nice Professor.

Prof. Ngo is a great person. Class is lil tough but its expected from this class. Homework are online and tests are at the testing center. Gives you questions for pop quiz a class before and it helps to boost your final grade almost like 10%. Over all its a good class without any extra pressure.

I loved the way Professor Ngo taught the material. He is very kind, fair, and always eager to answer questions. He makes the students explain the answers which is great because this course is for future teachers. I also liked how the tests were arranged so the students could decide when they were ready to take the exam.

I have really enjoyed my time in Mr. Tim's class, MATH has always been a subject that was hard for me grasp and he made it enjoyable and easy to understand. He makes it hard for his students to fail because you can tell that he truly cares. Be aware, his tests are way too long.

Professor has great way of explaining things and relating to everyday situations. The way he explains the materials by giving clues to be able to remember on the tests, they were very helpful. The tests are tough and long, but good Professor.

He is so kind and helpful. you have a quiz every week, but he will tell you in advance what the quiz would be like, so you can almost guarantee 13% of your grades. Even though the tests are long and a little bit difficult, but in fact they are just straight forward from the mastery test. So PRACTICE THE MASTERY TEST VERY WELL, AND YOU'LL DO GREAT.

He gave us practical examples of how to apply math in real life. Also what helped me is do the homework, and do the practice test. But people really have to work for it.

Took Pre-Cal with him. The tests are too long and very difficult. He trained me well and ready for Calculus. I got As for Cal I and Cal II with Pro. Ghamasaee. He's one of the best.

Great professor. He works out the examples in the book and covers what is going to be on the quiz. Tests are hard because they are comprised primarily from the homework which can be a little daunting. Definitely need to read and study to get a solid A

This class was easy, and by easy I mean really easy. Don't skip class, you will miss a lot. You only need to purchase MyMathLab, book is really not necessary, the textbook is included online. HW is a must. Take notes, he works the problems from the book for quizzes. The tests are all problems form the end of each chapter test and he goes over them.

I like Professor Tim because he is one of those teacher that will not give you things easy and if you want good grade, you really have to work hard to have it. And push us to the way the we do not have a choice but to work hard. That makes him an excellent teacher. Thank you Mr. Tim.

This Class is really hard if you have never seen anything in calc 2 before. If you have then this class is fair. This was my first time taking it and I didn't pass but I learned a lot so when I take it again I will be much more prepared. His tests are extremely long but his quizzes are easy. Studying is key. Doesn't use Matlab Plus.

Excellent professor! Lectures are entertaining and not a bore like other professors. He's easily accessible outside of class and routinely offers help to students who need it. There's about 4 tests total including the final. Calculus II is difficult so be prepared to study and do the homework. Highly recommend Professor Tim for any Math class!

His review packets are the exact as the test just with different numbers. Attending class is not required, but I doubt you will pass if you skip more than 3 teaching days. Challenging class: You must remember all the formulas for your exam, beware of pop quizzes, no extra points... Very good Professor, he made me ready for University Level. I earned grade A. It's not easy A and I'm so proud of it.

If you absolutely need to take Calc I, then I recommend Prof. Ngo. I took an eight-week class, which was extremely difficult and I feel that he could have explained certain things better, but I managed to do well. He does care about his students, but you must put in a ton of effort if you want that A, especially when studying for the exams.

Prof. Huy Ngo is a great Person, he really wants his students to learn calculus. His tests are very heavy, but he gives partial credit if you show him the proper work. Please don't skip any class because he gives you pop quiz questions, which are 20% of your grade average. Moreover, do all the homework and example problems from the book.

Professor Tim is an excellent instructor. He is teaching in the simplest way, which an explanation match for many problem solutions. His graded policy is quiz, homework, and test, which are 20% each, regrade the lowest test with the final average. Regular attending is important to earn excellent grades that possible for all students.

This class can be demanding if you do not study outside of class. He is a funny professor & knowledgeable. He gives you opportunities to ask for help and score extra credit for your test. You will have 4 exams, 4 HW assign, 4 Practice Tests, and 7 POP quizzes. Because there are few grades, its important you stay on top of each assignment.

BEWARE his class, if you are strong in mathematics. He is the Professor for you. Avoid his class if you're weak in math. There are so many problems, examples during his class lectures.

Professor Ngo is the best teacher for any math course he teaches. Majority of the class is the homework and it helps a lot especially if you need a lot of practice. He puts practice exams for the midterm and final and it is literally the same minus a few questions ,but they are around the same topic.

To be honest. If you took Ap Calculus in highschool. This class is chill. He gave us 4 exams and 2 test that include midterm and final. I wish he teach more math class so I can keep follow and take all the math class from him. This is one of the best professor that I have ever took. You wont regret to take him. Easy A if you spend a little time.

I have never enjoyed taking a math class however I did this.I am a little sadden that it was cut short due to the virus pandemic but thank you Professor Tim for your quirky jokes that helped me to remember the steps to solving some of the problems. I also liked the reminders that were sent about when things were due...

I was so scared to take cal 2 but this prof made it so easy! I love this class, it is structured in a manageable way and if you study the reviews you will definitely do well on the tests. I was going to take a different prof but I am so glad I switched to him last minute- best decision I've ever made! Take him if you want to make an A in the class.

Best math class ever. Professor is nice and responds to emails fast. There is homework on MyLabMath (unlimited attempts) and 1 question quizzes on there. 4 tests you have to send pics of your work but no lockdown browser or webcam on. I felt like I learned a lot from this class, highly recommend especially if you can stay on top of your work.

I took Prof Ngo for math 2413, 2414,2415 (spring 2020 and winter 2020-21). Great professor for non Math/ engineering majors. Preview test available and all the test questions would be from it. Responds to email very fast. No professor recored lectures, have to use math lab videos. No lockdown browser. Need an A? take his class.

Calculus is not an easy math course, but if you wanna suceed. This is your go to professor right here! He gives extra credit. His test reviews are crystal clear and most of those questions end up on the actual test itself. I simply cannot recommend this professor enough.

I took him as an online class. The class has a lot of homework. He also does Pop Quiz but he will usually email you about the pop quiz. The test the very similar to the review so if you do the review you should be fine. He is very generous with the curve for the exam.

Took him during the May Term and oh boy was this class fast. Everything is through MyLabMath. 10 pop quizzes, even though he gives you the dates, worth 10%. MLM homework is worth 30% with 3 attempts per question. 3 exams worth 60%. Gives points back. Requires work and uses lockdown with a webcam for only exams, not hw or pop q highly recommend him

I took his 8-week class and it was a lot of work as expected. If you need help then you can email him and he works the problem out for you and is available for one-on-one meetings. Exams are recorded and you must show work for every problem. There were times when I had to resort to YouTube for lectures, but overall it was a good class.

ABSOLUTELY TAKE THIS CLASS! Took an online flex 8wk course. 2-3 Homework per week (easy, only like 20 questions each) TESTS ARE EASY A's!! He gives reviews that are 20 questions and for the tests, he uses 13 of the review questions and changes the numbers. If you DO THE REVIEWS you will get an A! Tests do have a webcam. BEWARE WEBCAM for TESTS

There is no live lecture for this class. However, the Professor provided lecture notes, Exam review Solutions, etc. The Exams must be taken using MyLab Math (MLM) with Respondus Lockdown Browser, ID required.

Homework, 10 pop quizzes, and 3 exams, that's all. There is no live lecture. However he gave review solutions for quizzes and exams, lecture notes. If you ask the questions, he will work it out on the paper and email it to you. The appointment is a must for online office hour. Nice professor.

Took a Summer course with professor Tim. Best calculus class I have ever taken. Amazing professor, would 100% take again!! Class was in-person. Consisted of weekly quizzes with reviews beforehand, MyLabMath homework, and 2 exams with reviews. As long as you go to class, do the review packet, do the homework, you should be fine!

Prof. Tim was amazing, I took him for the winter semester and it was a 10/10 experience for a math class. Do your assignment on time, take notes, and learn how to use your formulas they will help you during the pop quizzes and three main exams. Prof. will give you feedback and respond to your emails almost immediately!

The teacher is super funny and encourages his class to participate. He gives plenty of time for breaks but makes us work for them. Very good energy for a classroom, did very well transitioning from chapter to chapter. The examples were very clear and straight forward and the homework system was my favorite, very useful. 10/10

Great professor! He is the first teacher I had online that gave me personal feedback on the questions I missed on the test. The homework and quizzes are straightforward and have multiple attempts. Tests only have one attempt, but he gives you partial credit and a test review that is similar to it.

Professor Ngo is an excellent professor. In his online class, the course is well-structured. The tests are very predictable and are exactly like his practice/ review exams.
