What a character; his test's are complex, but he gives credit for evrything.

If there was ever a professor who was as helpful and as understanding it would be him. If his lectures confuse you, go to his office hours (and they confuse most). If you go to his office hours and review the material you will get and A, you have to work but not exhaustingly. RECOMMENDED
His lectures are confusing but if you show up to his class every class meeting then you will get the hang of his teaching style. He wants all his students to do well in his class and he is very helpful. You can go to his office for him to go over the work with you. I recommend him for math.
He is just the nicest man...loves all his students and it really shows. I recommend him for math only if those who take him are serious in their studies. If you do not show up to his lectures...you'll be screwed at the end...so just pay attention and you will be fine.

Don't forget to bring your pillows and blankets with you. I had him from 9-10:50AM, and he spent an hour and a half teaching us about turning the calculator on and off. Then, he'll try to teach you the lesson in the last 20 minutes. I hope that the 'F' I got in this class stands for 'F'ailed as a professor.

You definetely have to study for his class and always have to class to his lectures. if you do all the work, you will get an A. He is a very fair grader. he is an energized and nice man, who tries to incorporate fun and math togeteher. concerned about his students and tries to help them out.
Well, here is the thing about Chaim, he is extremely unclear. He tends to teach everything in the last 5 minutes of the 2 hour lecture. His tests are hard, but not impossible. They take alot of time that he doesn't give you, if you know your****, you will get an A. But it is not handed to you on a silver platter.

Great Professor. Always there to help students. Great Grader - gives TONs of extra credit problems to take home and also TONS of extra points on the exams. He wants the understanding of subject - so you better not to miss his lectures. Highly recommended.

all those who say he's horrible simply did not attend the class 90% of time. he cares so much about his students, he doesn't sit down from morning to night explaining everything to them. but you have to cooperate with his ways of teaching, in result, you won't be memorizing,u'll know it naturally. he's a saint. if only all professors were like him.
as long as you attend every lecture and you sit in his office 24/7 and ask him questions he doens't care if you fail every exam hell hook you up just sitting in his office isn't 20 minutes its more like 20 hours per day

I took precalc again after Dr. Knight gave me a B+. I have to say that Zuckerburg rules. I took him during the summer & his jokes were corny but cute. Those that complain about his grading you're just not bright. He gave so many extra credit questions and if you participate he gives you favoritism. TAKE HIM if youre serious for getting a good grade
i tutor kids in bio, chem, english, math and zuckerberg. it's like he teaches a totally separate subject. you have to learn math his way. he dances in class so that's no help. his test are incomprehensible. it's no wonder why i see so many kids complaining. stay away from this guy.
these ppl r complaining b/c either they didn't go to class or they didn't study. Prof. Z is a nice teacher, knows his stuff, and if u LISTEN & TRY 2 UNDERSTAND him, u will do fine.Don't wait until last minute to ask him ure questions.I always studied a few days be4 the test & I got an A.PPL who r complaining probably didn't get to class--YOU WILL!

Professor Zuckerburg is a really kind and caring tea cher. He does go really slow at times and some ppl found it as beneficial but it may cause you to space out. His tests are fair, considering that he goes over similar problems before the class, and he grades very fairly and gives lots of extra credit. I would reccomend him hands down!

lol wow zuckerberg....i hade him for math 30... i got an A-. take him for any math class...math10, math 30, math40. he is very helpful and nice. his office hours help alot of students. alot of students go to his office hours for tutoring. and they get A-/A. if he sees that u r improving on ur tests, you will get an A
he doesnt use the textbook. he gives all that he has so that students understand the material. going to his office hours really helps students. and because of this i got an A-. in any calculus class you have to study. for zuckerberg he is more lenient with grades. he makes it fare for the students that he knows that understand the material.

I already took pre cal in hs and did great but in his class, HE MAKES UP HIS OWN WAYS TO LEARNING PRECAL.. which makes it difficult to understands. Honestly,students who are jewish clearly have some advantage in getting an A in his class. I'm not one of those lazy people who doesn't study and expects to get an A without work, I'm a hardworking student who didn't get the grade that I deserve. I feel that Dr. Zuckerberg has every right to teach the subject any way he wants. Unfortunately, his way of teaching is inexplicit. In general he really made my classmates and I bewildered on a subject we thought was math. He rambles theory for an hour... I recommend switching out of his class if you want a professor that cares about your success.
He is great guy with a good sense of humor, he tries to make his class enjoyable by getting students to learn concepts with games, but those games confused me always. i did not really understand the way he taught, hes unclear at times but he will always review what you ask him too, i did well, got A i class, try him and goodluck:)btw hes adorable

So much to say. His teaching methods are quite different than any thing you'd expect. An A in the class solely depends if he feels you know the material in my opinion. Recommended to attend his office hours! If you think math is about memorizing you wont get an A. Im sure Zuckerberg is by far the most knowledgeable compared to our math department.
Everyone says not to take him. I say, he's easy. Easy only in the sense of, you coming to class and writing down all the notes he gives you. He does things repetitively but it's worth it. All those notes he gives you are on the exams and all the exams are open notes. Your patience with him may run out by the 2nd week of class. But still worth it!
Really down to earth guy. Very easy class explanations and unconventional teachings. Keep up to date with your lectures and exams. He is a really nice prof expresses concern when students keep on being absent. He even repeats his lessons for the ones that do not listen. Open book and open notes. I have learned a lot from him and really recommend.

just took his final... if u don't know the way to pass his class, then ill fail. he teaches his own material... make sure he knows your name and show up to class even if ull sleep, but make sure u go to his office hours.... if he likes you, you get an A. simple as that.

Zuckerburg is an Jewish Old Man he's really nice! He teaches in a weird way, but it's humorous and entertaining, and he really is interested in helping students, if you don't understand something he'll explain it to you. He never yells, he is NEVER mean to you, he's just slow and his lectures might make you bored but he'll help you if you ask !
He needs to retire. He doesn't give clear explanations on his work and requirements. He expects you to learn math in his specific way with his specific techniques. If you don't do his techniques he will not give you credit during the exams.
He's horrible at teaching. he teaches the theories and why we do stuffs in calculus instead of how to do anything, like formulas or steps. He teaches in his own method so you're effed when t comes to tutors. He is ready to help, but instead of helping you he confuses you even more. Just RUN!!! away when you can, he is just horrible.
Does not teach. Spends a week on on one problem, then runs out of time to cover other material, so he skips it. So, tough luck. You can't even learn it on your own, because he wants you to do the work HIS way. His methods don't even exist in the text books. The only way to learn is to go to office hours.
He doesn't require a textbook, but that's about where the good things stop. The math he teaches is his own made-up methods, so it's impossible to get help from anywhere but him. If you need to take any more advanced classes in math, you're out of luck, because you will learn nothing.

He makes his own textbook, which I personally found very time-consuming to read because his handwriting takes some time to understand. If you want to pursue math please dont take him. No textbook is required for this class. This professor laterally makes his own textbook. You cant seek outside help because the way he teaches is totally different isnt in any textbook.
Listen, I got 90's and above on all tests. Didn't read the text that he provided for all of us. Got an A. He makes you participate in a bunch of humiliating performances during class to get his point across. Overall he is a very sweet man. He is a tough grader but if you know math and show improvement (like some of my classmates did) you will get A
was reading other reviews hes not as bad as it seems. yes the math he teaches is not precalc or Calc but his class involves almost no arithamtic. My advice if you want an easy A take it with your friends and help each other wink wink, but if you want to actually LEARN math take Russel Myers(prob best math teacher) or samuel park whos avg.

Sit in the front because he's old and doesn't talk loudly, review material before hand, and participate. Took AP Calculus and that helped. Take advantage of extra credit! No homework, but make sure you go to office hours if you don't understand something. 2 tests and the final. Makes up his own notes. Makes you get up and do weird dances.

Zuckerberg is a nice professor. He honestly wants you to pass, all you have to do is look like you are listening, participate about a few times in his demonstrations and try to get at least a 70 on his tests. Passed my first exam by some points, got an 100 on my second exam and I don't know what I did on my final, but I managed to get an A-.

THIS GUY IS A JOKE! I barely learned in this class. He makes up his own stuff and doesn't even explain it. If you're going to lecture, no point cause you barely can't hear him. NOT ONLY THAT he has favorites, which is so annoying. I took Calculus in HS, and the stuff I learned in high school is closer to calculus than what he taught.

He's very hard to understand because he's old and he mumbles and goes off topic. He doesn't write much on the the board. He hand writes his notes and creates a packet and hands it out in the beginning of the semester (he doesn't have the best hand writing so it was difficult to understand)

Literally the worse professor Ive ever taken in LIU. Please DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and do not take this class. It will affect your gpa in the end. Doesnt teach ordinary math, but rather tries to make you understand the steps and the knowledge behind it. Undoubtedly one of the best professors I've taken in terms of caring and passion for teaching. Pay attention in Lectures and sit in the front, you'll get 80+ on his exams. 3 exams, Values Improvement and Going to his office hours
I love him!! But don't take him if you don't plan on attending lecture because his math isn't the same as math you'll find elsewhere. If you take notes from his lecture and study (only 3 exams) you'll be fine. He is also very caring and willing to extend office hours as long as you need.
