1. Go to class if you can. You will get an easy participation grade and probably all of your homework done. 2. You won't need to buy the books for Economics 1, you will for Economics 2 3. Group-style work every class. It becomes monotonous, but he will take student feedback and switch things up. 4. He grades easy, gives extra credit, and helps

Professor Kay is the best. Not only is he hilarious and kind, he genuinely cares about his students and tries to help. The class itself is easy, as long as you show up (attendance is graded) and do the classwork you should be fine. You work in groups almost everyday which can be tedious sometimes but it's usually a creative and easy assignment

Professor Kay is the best professor I have had. You have to go to class in order to get a good grade, but for once attendance is worth while since he actually teaches and gives valuable feedback. There is classwork every class and homework due before every class but most of it can be done in class. You should never stress for this class.

Everyone take his class! He is very helpful when you don't understand an assignment and will sit with you and help you until you understand. He speaks a lot like people our age, so it makes you feel more comfortable in the class. He also has a good sense of humor mixed in that makes class more enjoyable. If you want an easy A, take his class.

Professor K. is THE BEST ENGLISH TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. He is super fun and he cares a lot about his students. If you need help, you can ask him for it in class or go to his office hours. It is not a hard class, I have never been good in English or writing essays, but in Professor K's class I have had all A's. 100% RECOMMEND THIS CLASS & TEACHER.

Great professor if you don't like English. He knows how to keep it fun. He inspired me to think more about my writing and find some fun in it. A good amount of homework, but all assignments are weighed the same so you can skip some of the longer ones and miss class if you want to without much penalty.

His class is pretty easy as long as you do the work, if you need the credit I highly suggest taking him. My favorite thing about him as a professor is he gives incredibly good feedback on writing. He makes it very easy to improve your writing based on the feedback alone. The down side to that is it takes him awhile to grade but he does his best.

I loved the class. It was fairly easy, but I've learned a lot. All of the examples are very interesting, the assignments are creative, which helps to understand the concepts faster. Class was great and easy. Prof Kay is great at making is classroom fun. Lots of short writing assignments for homework that usually come in groups so you can just do it once and then change the wording. Couple of big papers, none of which are that terrible to write. Attendance is required and HEAVILY impacts your grade, so make sure you show up.

Hes a really great teacher and fun to talk with. He respects you as students and makes it clear that its your class. Takes the time to change it when he needs to so you don't fall behind. While there is a lot of work, its not the hardest, and you will benefit greatly the more effort you put in. Highly recommend if you need to take the classes

Professor Kay is very understanding and gives great feedback. A lot of points will be missed if you skip class, but simply showing up and doing the work is enough to earn most points. He is a light grader and has clear expectations, so most assignments are fairly easy. However, you will learn a lot from his class, and it will be very enjoyable too.

Professor K has been one of my favorite professors at UCF. I am upset that I couldn't have taken him for ENC 1101, but he is an amazing teacher. Very understanding and caring. He does do attendance, so make sure to show up, but if you have an excuse with a note, he takes that into account.

Professor Kay is one of my favorite professor I've had. He makes class interesting even when the material is far from it. You need to attend class, you will be graded for going to class and participating. (This a big part of grade!) You sit in groups of 4-6 and will work with your group on a daily basis! Don't worry about buying the textbook.

If you want to get through this class, take this teacher. He makes assignments really simple and he gives good feedback. He's very open, so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Prof Kay is a great teacher! Theres a couple assignments per week but as long as you do them, you'll get an easy A. He's an extremely easy grader. I'm not the best at english and I still ended up with a 100 at the end of the semester. Much of the class is spent working toward one final paper, but it is broken up so much that it does not feel like a lot of work in the end. Great professor to take for ENC1102. There will be writing due every week but it builds on each other for the final summative paper due at the end of the term. As long as you read through his modules and feedback then you will pass this class easily.

The structure of the course seems daunting (specially by the amount of assignments), but he explains them in a very optimistic and approachable manner, which makes them easier to complete. Professor Kay is a great teacher. He is nice, caring, and gives great feedback. He does give a lot of assignments but they're usually easy. He teaches you how to be a great writer. I ended the class with a 100%!

I took professor Kay for ENC1101 and ENC1102 in back to back semesters. His class was very easy to get an A in, as long as you did everything he asked of you, which is not a lot. He made the class interesting, he is a super cool and funny guy as well as very understanding to his students. Overall, he made me a way better writer.

You'll write about 4 essays in this class but you're given about a month to complete each one. As bad as this sounds, the workload wasn't overwhelming. Professor Kay made this semester feel like such a breeze especially because of how considerate and understanding he is. He gives great feedback on all assignments, I highly recommend taking him!

One of the best professors I have ever had. He really cares for his students. He always asks for feedback on how to improve the unit every time we finish one. If you have problems with homework, he can help you. He has a grading system that lets you know which assignments require more attention than others which is good if time is not good for you.

Professor Kay was amazing!!! I took this course online although it was very easy. Professor Kay is an extremely fair grader and and an overall great person. There are some Summative essays thats you will have to write although he gives you great feedback!

Proffesor Kay's class was pretty awesome, easy A just keep up with the little assignment about 2-3 of them due weekly. Two major essays but they're easy. Two extra-credit assignments at the end in case you missed a small assignment. He's very caring and gives excellent feedback. Had class meetings every Friday not mandatory though.

To be clear this class was only online due to covid-19 and it's usually an in-person class; take my ratings with a grain of salt knowing that. Really straightforward lecture videos and assignments. Everything was explained thoroughly and you're able to work at your own pace throughout the week until the next lesson. Would take again!

Professor Kay is outstanding! I would 100% recommend taking his class. He gives you the opportunity of having creative freedom in almost all of his assignments. It personally made me feel like there was purpose to what I was writing, which very rarely happens in my other classes. He lays out your workload weeks in advance and is extremely flexible.

He was a great teacher overall. It is a short class so I feel like you don't learn as much. However, the homeworks are relatively long, but easy. Overall I was still able to do all the homework on time and I was working so it should be pretty easy.

When he gives you an assignment he attaches a video or multiple so that you do not have to read, you can listen just like you would in a lecture. He gives great advice and examples on everything. You can contact him with any questions and he will respond quickly. Overall the best Professor I have had thus far.

Love it or hate it, ENC1102 is required at UCF. I've never had an English professor who enjoys reading about OUR ideas, OUR prompts, and OUR research than Prof. Kay has. I've always enjoyed writing, maybe you haven't, but this isn't writing. This class is a passionate research project that's actually an absolutely (easy) adventure to succeed in.

There is only much you can do to make an English class appealing to its students and he sure does an outstanding job of achieving this. Professor Kay was awesome it was a six week accelerated online course and I felt that all of his assignments were very relevant to writing the final paper at the end of the class. If you get the assignments done youll pass the class. There is a big essay at the end that is a little daunting but Professor Kay is very helpful!

This professor was great. He gives a lot of freedom in your writing while still applying lessons that you will need for formal and informal work. He's really nice and is always readily available to help. He has a rubric layout in the beginning of the course that let's you know the impact of the assignments you do (which are very do-able). Take him!

If you need to take ENC 1102 make sure its with Professor Kay. I was someone who struggled with writing and this man made it so understandable and easy to write a 10-20 page essay. Also he actually cares for his students and accommodates to their needs. There are a few long assignments but I promise they are all helpful towards writing the essay.

Please, take this man for ENC if it's the last thing you ever do. This was by far the most well designed online course I have ever taken. And, this guy designed it on the fly during this thick of all this madness. Easily one the most influential course I have taken at UCF. Sign up quick!!!

The best English teacher I've ever had :) High school English courses made me lose my love for the subject but Professor Kay brought it back again. He's honestly so wonderful that I actually looked forward to each assignment and paper in the class. My only regret? Not being able to take his class in-person.

He is very caring, he truly cares for his students, his lectures are amazing, he explains everything in detail, this is a very good relaxing class. Profesor Kay is the best professor you'll have in college. His assignments were really straightforward and he recorded his lectures so it was easier to understand them. He explained them extremely well and provided an example to help you were to start on your assignment. Accepted late work and graded extremely fairly.
