Dont get discourage the first week of class. His test is show your work test, not multiple choice. Which is how I like to take math test. He responds to you if you have questions also.

Dr. Cobham is a professor who is willing to work with you. If you do the very best you can he will definitely help you out. He says "what" a lot but other than that he is ok. He does give a good amount of homework sometimes...but he gives you credit for what you do.

This is not an easy course as his exams last 2 days!!! If you complete all your homework then you should be able to pass. He gives you extra credit and also curves exams.

Dr. Cobham is a really great professor who really cares about his students. The exams are challenging, but you are also graded on attendance, participation, homework, essay project. If you try your best and do all your work, you will have no problem passing this class. If you love math, he is the best! He is a big teddy bear!!!

This professor's signature is the large quantity of homework, he gives no multiple choice tests, everything is problem solving on paper. He tries to teach as much as he can by the hour, and so has little time for explanations. expect to use textbook alot. Attendance is important. He does gives you a nice curb for each test.

I Love Taking Cobhams Class. He takes him time to make sure every student understands what he/she is doing. He does give a lot of homework and doesn't collect it until the test, but trust me... it helps to get it done right away. If you don't do the homework, you will fail the tests.

I have him for Statistics, and he's a good teacher. I've heard about his thick accent, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Go to every class, take good notes, and study a lot. He assigns a lot of homework, so don't fall behind with it, and you should be good. Tests are kind of hard and long.

Dr. Cobham is by far the best mathematics educator I have EVER had. I took him for 2 semesters and wish he taught the other math courses that I need to take. He does have an accent, but not hard to understand. He gives LOTS of homework, but if you really want to learn he is the professor to take. Great sense of humor, too! I highly recommend him.

He is such a nice teacher! He cares about his students...he does give a lot of homework but at least he gives you odd numbers so you have the answers in the back of the text book...If you miss a test you can take it another day and if you don't finish all the homework you can turn it in later.

Very nice and funny but kinda overwhelming. He tests you on material he never went over because he says we should already know that. He also a signs alot of homework. And he teaches you other chapters when you still haven't even been tested on the first chapters he already taught so it can be confusing. But hw, presentations, and mathlab helps.

Great professor never been good in math but he explains everything step by step

He has a bit of an accent but that doesn't really hinder the lectures. He gives sooooo much extra credit on tests. every test he added 15 points to it. Also if you do the homework its plus 5 more points. The class itself is extremely easy, stuff most of us learned in elementary school.

Great Professor, I took him for MGF1106 online, he gives you three chances to do the quizzes, extends due dates, adds 15 points to your quizzes, curves your midterm and adds 10 points to final with one simple and quick extra credit, Quizes are simple and homework is done on MyLab, fast responding and communicative and informative to students.

No midterm, final only; 8 discussions, 6 tests, no extra credits. Mastering assignments are easy, but huge volume- make sure start doing it right in the beginning of the semester, do not post pond. Professor is helpful, always answers e-mails immediately. Did not purchase a book, only pass code for mastering assignments.

First time taking a class online and I love it. He is very understanding with his deadlines, giving you plenty of time to learn the material. The class won't be hard if you study and open your book to learn your material. He also replies to emails fast and he's very nice.

I took the blended course which worked out for my schedule. Class was once a week and the rest online. For someone who isn't good at math, I wouldn't recommend this professor because the assignments are done online. There was someone to help in the class but if you need intensive tutoring, you're better off with an interactive professor.

Let me start by saying I have NEVER passed a math class in y life the first time around. I do not know why I decided to take him online but it was the best decision ever! He gives ALOT of hw but you have unlimited tries so you can do it over and over until you learn. He is so nice, and ready to help. I barely tried my best and passed with an A!

If you think you're not a math person and wont be able to take it online, I suggest you reconsider. I've taken all my math courses online and passed them. This professor is extremely helpful, he always sends reminders to his students for due dates, and responds to his email quickly.

I couldn't ask for more. It's online so it's self taught but the good thing is that he is always online to help. He respondes quick to emails, he helps you out by giving you extra credit in exams. The material isn't difficult at all, but you do need to be organized with time to find before the due dates. Take him you don't regret it!

Dr. Cobham is very nice. I took his MAT1033 class online, so I did not have much experience with his lecture style. However, he makes success easy. He allows for bonus points if you show your work, and also with attendance. If you struggle with math, you may have a better experience with Dr. Cobham. You might not use the e-book. I was fine.

All the work is done on Aleks so the professor is only there to assist you with signing up for it at the beginning. As far as him teaching you math, that isn't available. But the online course is very easy and you pass as long as you finish it. You won't make a bad choice by taking him. He gives practice tests which is more like a cheat sheet!

Take him! He cares about his students, bottom line. He wants everyone to get a B or higher in his class and he lets you retake tests up to 2x. I have extreme test anxiety and I suck at math so that saved my grade a lot. Don't be late turning in work and don't miss an online exam or he will drop you. I took this class online. TAKE HIM!!!

This teacher is a gem. If you arent a math oriented person or if math isnt for you THIS IS THE PROF THAT YOU SHOULD TAKE. His grading is super lenient and always has a curve for his test. All that you have to do is make sure you turn in the homework on time, do decent on tests and you'll pass forsure. I didn't put in much effort and still passed

He's a really nice professor. The class is basically all computer work. He curves every test by ALOT. If you fail a test he lets you take a practice test as many times as you'd like to pass. Very willing to help out. Wants everyone to pass.

I took online, the homework is due at the end of the semester, midterm & final are proctored exams (like 25 questions), 5 quizzes (20 questions + you have 3 attempts), 4 discussion posts, he gives out extra credit if you do the end of semester survey. Extra points are added to almost all quizzes, midterm & final. 10 out of 10 recommend taking him!

Math is not my strongest subject but I managed to pass this class with an A. The class is all done through ALEKS. There is 5 modules and 5 quizzes; no midterm or final. You must show up to class because after 3 absences he will drop you. Class is easy as long as you get your work done.

The class is all online, you just have to show up. After 3 absences he'll drop you. Even if you miss one class without letting him know, but he'll still give you a chance. Textbook isn't needed just the code to ALEKS. There's 5 modules. After each module theres an exam. You don't have to finish the modules, but its very helpful, refreshing even.

The quizzes are a big part of your grade but they're easy if you do the homework on Pearson. He also gives you 3 attempts at them in order to get the best grade possible. There's homework but only a few and he gives you a long time to do them. He also gives extra credit for taking the midterm and final on the first days.

Best professor , i took 1033 my first semester and it was 8 week it was Extremely fast and we had test every other week , the teacher wasnt that great so i failed It . Professor cobham made this class so easy . Hes nice and very understanding , theres no way you can fail his class , unless you do no work and dont show up .

Best math class i've taken online! he didn't give a cRAzy amount of work, he always had the calendar updated, & he gives you ALOT ALOT of chances to raise your grade if its low!, he's very attentive & encouraging with his students, he sends emails as reminders! . This is my personal experience but i definitely think its worth taking his class!!!

My absolute favorite professor! First time I took online classes and I was a bit scared since you dont see your professors face to face. He is very caring, will do his best so you understand and pass the class, but you have to do your part, just do your homework, study and you will pass this class easy!

I loved professor Cobham! Cares a lot about his students, & is always willing to help. Gives multiple chances for quizzes/tests, & discussions help so much with your grade. Gives small extra credit opportunities but they help so much! Very clear with grading, & super sweet & respectful. Reminds you when assignments are due & everything. TAKE HIM!

So I was skeptical of taking an online math and wow... He actually cares about his students, and wants them to succeed. I was surprised he would remind you of things that were do, cares and allows multiple attempts on assignments. He gives great feedback and since math is hard for me Im surprised I passed. Great guy 10/10. He is a GEM!

He's great took him spring2o2o online.. I missed a quiz and he literally called me to hurry and take it or he'd have to drop me, which he didn't have to do. He gives you 3 tries on the quizzes but DONT take the third try unless its really needed because even if you got a 90 on the last try he'll only give you a 70.

Absolutely take this Professor! Professor Cobham is very clear about what to expect from the course-he emails lots of reminders too. There are 6 tests, 6 hw assignments and discussions. Lets you retake tests 2x until you receive a passing grade. Gives study guides for each test including midterm and final. Gives extra credit to help your grade.

Hes a good teacher. The work is on ALEKS and it gives clear instruction but if you dont understand then hell give you even more assisstance. The tests are based on the modules that he gives and its not hard if you do the work. He is respectful and understand him.

Took this professor through MDC Online. His work is easy to understand and he is easily accessible through email. 6 tests and a midterm. Test 5 & 6 proctored and the midterm is proctored too. Hw is on pearson my stat lab.

Take him! Even though you have to read in order to understand (doesn't explain anything), you have two weeks to work on each lesson at your own pace. Only one quiz and one discussion board per lesson. He always adds extra points to quizzes.

I took this professor in Spring 2021. He's so caring unlike other professors; he gives you extra points and sends reminders. I would definitely take this class again! :)

This professor is so amazing. I took him in the spring and because he decided to drop my two lowest grades I received an A. The online homework can sometimes be difficult, but make sure to use the examples they help A LOT. Additionally, there is no final only a mid-term, which is the same as the study guide, only difference is the numbers.

Online class. HW on mymathlab, total 6, ranging from 25-75 questions with 2 weeks each to work on, late submission deducts points. Quizzes (6) due same day as HW. Proctored midterm, no final. Requires long, detailed discussions posts with examples (7). Got to pace yourself with the work and you should get an A.

All of the work is online. This is basically a self learning class so If you like having someone teach you then don't take this class. The professor didn't teach at all. He just told us when to have the work done. Take notes and show your work in your binder because at the end he has you take pictures of all your notes and email them to him.

Honestly may have been the easiest and most nonchalant class I have ever taken. Professor makes the assignments we have to do very clear and answers emails. Also gives study guides to each test that he gives. 10/10 take it.

This professor is literally an angel sent from above. He will do everything in his power to help you understand anything and not let you fail this class. this class was incredibly easy.... the professor doesn't really teach or anything but it's fine because you can do the work all on your own at your house. I also knew someone who took his class and aced it really easily by cheating the entire time. I took it and it was pretty simple especially when you can just review the work and study on your own

Very sweet professor. This class is fairly simple although there is a lot of assignments. If you make sure they dont pile up you'll be fine. He gives you the dates for each quiz during class and you have to be come to class to take them. 1 quiz a week + the online work that requires you to take notes which will be graded
