Fantastic. Makes class interesting. Very organized.

Very knowledgeable. He's seriously an amazing teacher--one of my favorites!
He's the best teacher in the business school. helpful, funny, and truly wants the students to do well in the class. And you actually learn!
AWESOME! He's really knowledgeable and gives great tips for the future! I would definitely recommend him & wish all teachers were this good.
Best teacher at the business school. I learned so much in his class and I didn't even do well.
tHE BEST PROFESSOR EVER.fUN REAL LIFE STUFF!IF U WANT TO PASS BE IN CLASS ITS IS VERY INETERSTING!LOVE HIM:)
Not only an amazing professor, but also a funny and interesting guy. He really makes the class interesting and you actually learn useful stuff. Time flies in that class. He has to be one of the best professors in the Business School.
By far the most interesting and captivating professor I had at UM. He explains everything so well, you wonder why he isn't a rich, practicing salesman. Oh wait, he is. He was teaching one class while he was doing his other sales practice and I was so glad that I was fortunate to have learned something from him. Take any class he'll teach.
Best professor I've ever had. You will actually learn something! I literally saved my notes from this class to keep as reference. Makes class very interesting. Go to class, take detailed notes, study those notes and you'll have an A! Better yet, you will walk away from this class feeling like, finally, a course was worth your time and money.
I graduated over 10 years ago and I still recall lessons he has taught on sales and marketing.
Scharf is the man. Most organized and straight-forward teacher I've ever had at UM. If you're good at memorization you'll ace the exams, but he really makes sure you know it. Makes an hour and 15 min class feel like 20 minutes.
This guy is awesome, he really cares about his students, and makes sure that every one passes the class
BEST PROFESSORS AT UM! BY FAR!
Let's be honest, Scharf is ok. He is cocky and has annoying rules (cell off and out in front of you the entire class, locks the door he starts,& if you go to the bathroom you can't come back). Still, this is probably one of the only MKT classes with little to no work. Tests can be tricky because you have memorize his lists but the project is easy.
HE IS AWSOME! VERY CLEAR AND STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. HE DOESNT KEEP YOU IN CLASS UNLESS HE IS LECTURING. YOU LEARN A LOT FROM HIM!
Prof Scharf is the best PERIOD! I took him for both MKT 320 and 340 and i absolutely loved his classes!! I was always looking forward to class! tests are easy if you go over his outline. i wasnt sure about switching to marketing major but after his classes i know i did the right thing! LOVED HIS CLASSES! Take him if you can. He looks alot younger t
Scharf is the man. Take him. You learn alot of real world stuff about selling yourself and products. Tests are fair only based on his outlines. Good class.
one of the best professors at UM. very knowledgeable about the subject. To A this Class MEMORIZE THE LISTS FROM THE OUTLINES and you'll be OK. Final project is easy and fun.
Scharf is awesome! Retailing management is interesting, fun, and he is a great teacher. He also really cares about his students and will take time to answer your questions and help you figure out your career path. His exams are extremely fair and there are opportunities for extra credit. Not an easy A but with a moderate amount of effort achievable
Scharf is the man! His retailing class is very useful if you plan to someday own a retail store. Class is not hard at all, but you need to do every assignment and attend all his classes as well as the marketing lab in order to secure an A
Great professor!!!! LOVED taking him. Very clear straightforward lecture that he even provides a complete outline for. Notes are essential for getting an A in the class. Also provides opportunity for extra credit with marking labs. And follow his rules - don't dare take your cellphone out!!
The only professor who is worth the full price it costs to attend Miami. The only class I look forward to, and I'm not a marketing major. Disregard your grade, your major, and any other reservations. You will learn more than you could ever imagine with this guy. Simply amazing. Blows my mind every class.
He is very intelligent and down to earth. He makes this class so interesting with his real life stories. He provides his student an outline. Test will based on those outlines. A lot of memorizing and some videos. One final project (easy), one field trip, 3 exams... He is the Best!
This class is must take.. You will learn real tactics. Professor Scharf demands attention but time passes by quickly. He is the Best professor in the MKT Department
One of the best professors at UM. His class was very interesting and he gives really valuable tips for interviewing, and conducting yourself in the work place, in a fun and engaging way. As long as you're respectful he's extremely helpful and understanding. Take EXCELLENT notes and you'll do fine on the tests!
One of the best teachers I've had. Class is very straight forward and he makes the class enjoyable. The workload is very manageable and the tests are very straightforward. A really fun, easy class.
I would've gotten the same grade if I got his notes & never went to class.2 people in the class had to write a 15 PAGE PAPER just for looking at their phones in class. If you actually want to learn anything about retailing,do not take him.If you are one of those who just want a good grade by cramming notes and nothing to learn,he's perfect for that!
This is my second time taking him; his exams are verbatim to class notes. Memorize his notes word for word--best marketing professor! TAKE HIM!
Professor Scharf is one of the best professors I've had at UM. He goes through notes pretty quickly, so it's best to bring a laptop. He is hilarious and you can tell he really cares about his students. He makes the class really interesting, and we finished learning the material in early April. The exams are also super easy.
BEST teacher, best class i've taken thus far... actually learned skills that will help in life. No textbook needed. Must go to class.. but thats how you learn. Test is exactly what he teaches on the outlines just make sure you take the time to study. NO cell phone in class but yu don't need it.. the class is 50 min and feels like 20. Greatest!!
Scharf is the man. He really knows his stuff. This was an amazing class and there is basically no homework. The tests are pretty hard though. You really need to know every single thing from the lectures. Regardless, we learned very important lessons and I would definitely recommend. He has a no phone rule, but he's so good you really won't care.
If you took MKT 340 and did well you this class is a little different (less memorize more multi choice). However he is a great teacher and it does not require a lot of work. Scharf has been one of my favorites though out my 3 years here and he is really funny. He is also great person to get a recommendation letter from..
Scharf is hands down the best professor ever, and his classes are a must take. I've had him for both marketing 320 and marketing 340 and it's the one class that you can count on learning valuable information. Greatest guy ever and class is really straight forward. Lots of memorization, but easy to get an A.
This professor gives amazing lectures! He makes class really exciting to go to. At the same time, it is a lot of work to go to class since you can't be late or have your phone on or you will lose major participation. Tests are tough, but if you study a ton and take really good notes you'll pass. Worth it because I learned so much!
Tests are based on everything he says in lectures. If you don't have class notes you are screwed. Expect to put word to word what he says in lectures for tests
he's not very friendly or understanding with personal problems but he is a good teacher. people love him because he's very straight forward and clear cut. exams are kind of difficult but as long as you study and do your work you're fine
I've rated him before for MKT 320, and I still think he is one of the best professors I've taken. He has years of experience that you can learn so much from. The fact that anyone could say he's hard is just laughable. If you write whatever he says and memorize it, you're fine. He's very funny and friendly but treats students as adults as he should.
Amazing professor and person, the tests only require rote memorization.
Class is spent 70% head down taking verbatim notes, 20% outdated videos, 10% engaging participation. Entirely a lecture, no PowerPoint guidance. Takes attendance EVERY class, can't miss. Always a homework case due. Exam is 5 open ended questions to be anwsered EXACTLY as notes in bullet points. Any stray or re-phrasing will result in a C.
Go to class and take down your notes... you just have to memorize four weeks worth of notes for each test and you'll get a 100.
Best teacher I've had at UM by FAR. I am taking MKT 320 next semester, not because I have to, but because of how incredible Scharf was.
Professor Scharf knows what he is talking about; he is very passionate about his class. Although it is a heavily lecture based class, he makes it funny and interesting. Be prepared to take lots of notes and study!
Professor Scharf is a great guy, overall I felt like I learned good information for a career in retailing. He has very clear notes which he follows every class and makes multiple choice exams based on them. He has a number of group activities that make the class enjoyable. I would recommend.
He's a nice guy, the tests can be difficult though.
Professor Scharf is my favorite professor at the U. His tests can be hard but you learn a lot of things in class that can help you only just with selling but also with your everyday life. I would definitely recommend!
Professor Scharf is the best. I took him for Professional Selling and Retailing. Retailing is more book heavy, but both are great courses. He's really nice and funny. He definitely wants you to succeed, but you have to work hard. TAKE HIM!!
Best professor I have ever taken
Prof. Scharf is great. He makes his lectures interesting and the time seems to pass quickly. He is very knowledgable and supportive of his students. Take him if you can!!
As a professor, he was amazing. The long lectures went by super quickly as he's well organized with interesting stories and top notch life/world/business experience to share. The actual MKT 340 course, I found lacking. Literally the entire thing is memorizing verbatim phrases from a sheet of paper. Worth taking the course still, though
There are 3 exams, a group presentation, and paper. Taking notes is absolutely necessary but the exams are pretty straightforward. The answers that he looks for are very specific. Overall, he is very interesting, organized and helpful. I would definitely take him again.
Easily one of the best professors at UM. Show up, takes notes, and study and you'll get an A. He incorporates funny stories into his lectures so it's easier to remember a lot of things he went over in class on the test. You can send him your notes and he'll tell you if you're missing anything for the exam. He genuinely wants you to succeed.
Prof. Scharf is amazing!!! The homeworks suck but theyre easy points for participation/the tests and are super quick! Take him!! hes such a nice person and super funny and makes class pass by quicker.
Scharf is my all time favorite professor at UM. Took him for MKT 320 and 340 and received an A in both. honestly sad i cant take him for more
As long as you show up to class and take notes you will be okay! Lots of notes but he is so straightforward on the exams. Study notes word-for-word and take note of what he says will be on the test.
Professor Scharf was one of the best professors I've had at UM. He uses his real experiences to make lectures entertaining and memorable. As long as you study your notes word for word you will do good on the 3 exams. They are all straight memorization. Attendance isn't mandatory but if he notices you skip a lot it will affect your grade so just go
Scharf is a gem. He is really nice and a true character. He has epic stories, and he is always sharing them. His lectures are a ton of note taking, and you better write everything down verbatim. The class is super super super heavy on memorizing lists and the notes from class, but if you do that, you should get an A.
He is the man! Shares great stories and is super passionate. Nobody in the class speaks unless he's given permission to. He's strict but nicely strict. I have taken both MKT320 & 340 classes with him. SOS take very good notes in order to get an A. He is caring, fun and serious. Sometimes he speaks too fast, let him know to talk slower. Take him!
Professor Scharf is the best professor I have had during my 3 years at University of Miami. If you have the opportunity, take him if you can.
amazing lectures and very clear notes outlines that you fill in as he speaks, tests were straight forward and based on readings, read the textbook!!! all i had to do was outline and that's the difference that helps you with the tests and helps you remember some little details
such an interesting guy definitely recommend!! so cool to listen to the classes were fun to hear and he is so helpful
You feel like you're wasting your money when you're sitting in this guy's class. He just tells stories about his boring experiences in sales and thinks his insights are the word of god. For his tests, you have to memorize useless lists that he literally made up himself. He hasn't changed a word of his lectures in the 20 years he's been teaching.
Scharf is a great professor who cares about his students' success. He's strict but very engaging, I learned a lot. You have to go to class and take extensive notes to pass, but it's worth it.
The class materials are long stories about his glory days as a salesperson and videos of sales skits from the 90s. Everything taught is his ideas & opinions, no outside source. Only take this class if you want to be graded on pure memorization of outlines he made up. Hes the only professor for this course... skip it altogether. Dont do it.
Professor Scharf is super interesting, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He is a very experienced salesman and his class feels like he's just sharing advice rather than lecturing. You learn lots of interesting things like reading body language, different personality types, and how to close sales.
Prof. Scharf is the best professor I've ever had. There is a lot of material so you do have to show up and pay attention, but you are given a very clear outline for every class that you simply have to fill in. Tests are exactly like the outlines. He's funny & makes class interesting, and cares a lot about his student's success.
Scharf is a good professor. Personally I don't like his style of teaching. You have to memorize everything he says and spit it back out on exams. The content is not that useful in my opinion either. Great and smart guy though.
Best prof I've ever had. The sweetest and most caring guy, you'll look forward to attending lectures. He genuinely cares about all his students, and I can't say the same about others. The material is exciting and fresh, I learned so much about the real world and companies. If you have the opportunity to take him, I URGE you to do it.
Super nice guy. Lectures are fast-paced but he makes himself very available outside of class. You can tell he cares a lot about what he's teaching and is a cool guy on top of being a great professor
I took him after hearing good things about him. I was disappointed. Taking him online was the worst. He gives online verbal exams which are difficult because you get tested on a heavy amount of material. He grades pretty tough and does not upload your grades so you wont know where you stand and he barely gives feedback. I do not recommend.
Professor Scharf is amazing! His lectures are not long and boring, he throws in funny and worthwhile stories. There's no homework. There's 3 tests that are a piece of cake if you take notes. I definitely recommend taking him!
Great professor, take him if you have the chance. This man knows how to engage an audience, especially his students by connecting personal, funny stories with the lessons he teaches. He even makes the semester easier by posting recordings of what you need to know for the exam. He cares about his students. With him, you learn ab life, not just MKT.
Professor Scharf's class was informative, inspiration, and genuinely enjoyable. As someone who wants to start their own business, Scharf provides you the tools (step-by-step) on how to successfully gain clients. His lectures are very standard with outlines given prior to each class. Exams are a little different, but nothing crazy. Take him.
Prof. Scharf is one of the best. Pay attention to class and the exams will be easy.
Professor Scharf is an excellent professor who works hard to deliver the material necessary for exams. As long as you study hard, put in the effort, and participate, then you will do very well.
Hands down the best professor at UM, there is no one like him. He is amazing at what he does. Many would think that hes super full of him self but he knows his stuff. 3 exams and 1 project, you need to study for his exams which are basically the notes he gives while he lectures. He is very knowledgeable about marketing. take him!!!
Ian Sharf is a great professor!! As a freshman it was great having him, very straightforward. His classes are lectures where you have to take down notes of everything he says but he makes it easy because he wait for us to finish writing. Exams are of a lot of vocab and requieres a lot of memorization. Great professor!!
He's so nice. And you can reach out to him whenever and he's super understanding of everything. Really easy and fast class. You learn a lot and at the same time class isn't hard, neither are the tests.
Very good knowledgable professor. Positives- interesting lectures, really feel like you are learning important things. Negatives- prefers handwritten notes and he goes fairly fast, attendance super mandatory, phone use prohibited, short answer exams are more difficult.
As a freshman, Scharf is the best professor I've had this semester. Very fair with grades in my opinion. Lectures are pretty fast paced but manageable. If you study on quizlet with all the vocab for the exams you'll do well.
Prof. Scharf is a fantastic instructor. He is very knowledgeable and this is reflected in his lectures, which are extremely engaging. I feel like I learned a lot from his class and I like him a lot as a person as well. His class rules are strict and exams are not easy so this is not a class to take for "fun", but it's great if you want to learn.
Prof is an awesome guy and really knows his stuff. He's always willing to have a conversation and has a lot of valuable advice. 3 exams and one project so if you study for them you should be completely fine.
Honestly he is not a bad professor, I just did not like he's teaching style, very lecture heavy and you need to be really good at memorizing stuff in order to do well in his class.
Professor Scharf is one of the best professors at this school, and I would sign up for a class I am not interested in just to have him again. He speaks incredibly fast, and your hands will HURT after this class from taking so many notes, but he is an incredibly nice and funny professor and you learn a lot. Definitely take him if you have the chance
Would definitely recommend Professor Scharf. Really nice and good teacher. Class is reasonable on work however very consistent and straight forward. He's easy to reach outside of class and normally ends class relatively early.
Sometimes a little annoying with class protocol but otherwise great prof
The man has an unbelievable memory. He must have hundreds of students, along with the hundreds or thousands of people he interacts with for his other full-time job as a salesman, yet he will learn every student's first and last name within a week or two, even when we had masks on.
Best professor I've had. If you take great notes on his lectures and memorize them you will ace both exams. Lectures are engaging. He is a master of MKT. Partner project is doable and ask for his feedback/advice. Take Scharf for as many classes as possible - he is great.
By far my favorite teacher at UM, smart as can be and has a photographic memory, attendance is not mandatory but will know if you don't go. follow lectures and tests will not be super complicated
I have never written a review but Scharf is my favorite professor at UM. He is engaging, cares about his students, and everything he talks about in class is on one of his 3 exams throughout the semester. He gives a lot of extra credit and the exams are straight from lecture notes. He is very organized and wants his classes to succeed.
Probably the most straightforward class you can take. Exams have a lot of content but everything is directly covered during his mostly simple lectures. If you show up and copy his notes you'll get an A.
Great teacher, very straightforward, and all the notes are directly related to the tests. Offers lots of opportunities to get a better grade, such as optional classes to get extra points on the next test. I will say that some may not like his teaching style, as it's just copying notes down most of the class, but he's not a harsh grader.
I took his retailing class in Spring 2022. Fantastic teacher and very straight forward. Notes are super easy to take down and concise. Before every exam he tells you what in the textbook you should read and what parts/pages you can skip. His expectations are super clear. Zero complaints about the teacher. You will have group projects.
Professor Scharf is a wonderful teacher. Although content heavy, his lectures are clear and concise. He is completely transparent about test materials which means that if you study hard, you will get good grades on tests. Sometimes the lectures are a little fast, however he is glad to repeat himself. TAKE SCHARF IF YOU CAN!!!!
Professor Scharf is the best. Attendance is said to be mandatory but not really. He clearly structures his classes and gives you the information you need to ace his class. He gives extra credit on all of his exams and will occasionally cancel class. He is just a nice guy who wants his students to do well. Definitely take his class!
Professor Scharf is the best professor I've had in my three years of college. He really gets students interested in the lectures and engaged, and keeps class entertaining. Always available to explain grades to students and helpful with feedback. Very good sense of humor too, I wish I had more classes I would be able to take with him in the future.
Definitely one of the best professors I've had here. Really passionate about sales and cares for his student's success. This class isn't only good for sales but for other business ventures, making friends, and even with girls from Scharf's body language tips. Tips for success: Study the headings, write down everything, study an hour/day for 3-7 day
I cant understate how much I loved having his class. He might be intimidating at first but he always very clear about what he wants from students. His lectures are never boring so you dont want to skip. The best thing you can do is go to his office hours and show face he REALLY admires that. It is not an easy A in my opinion but worth the work
He is one of the nicest and most genuine teachers you will find at the University of Miami. Very straightforward in terms of the structure of the course is 3 exams and one group project, but as long as you attend the lectures, you will be more than prepared. Highly recommend any class he has!
Professor Scharf is PHENOMAL. He is a great teacher, is always willing to help you, and is incredibly clear about course material. His tests are not hard if you study the course outlines he gives you, however they often contain A LOT of info. Best teacher/professor I've ever had by far. So glad I took him for MKT 340 and MKT 201.
Professor Scharf is an excellent teacher. I had him in the fall for MKT 201. His homeworks were easy, tests were 100% fair and he was super nice. The group project in my opinion was actually pretty interesting. I highly recommend professor Scharf.
interesting lectures that prepare you well for quizzes
One of my favorite professors at the university. Lectures are intense and very quick. Although he doesn't take attendance you still need to go to class to get notes. Cares about his students and cancels class often. Tests easy enough if you study notes and group projects at end of the year. Take him
Best professor. Pay attention and you'll get an A.
He is very lecture-heavy, but if you pay attention and take notes (he provides a digital outline for every class a few days beforehand) you will get a good grade. He is very strict about phones, but other than that he is a chill guy.
This class is largely overrated. Prof. Scharf's material is completely unusable in the real world. His lectures are just him reading things word-for-word off a sheet and then the students are expected to transcribe it. Anyone could be hired to teach this class. The tests were bizarre questions and the projects were just busy work. Disappointing.
This class is super lecture-heavy, he goes over the notes in class and the HW from the night before. At the end of each unit, there are in class activities that earn pts on the test. Go over your notes a few days before the test and you'll be fine. Scharf is really passionate about marketing and teaching and you can tell - highly recommend.
Scharf is a great prof and cares for his students. You do have to work hard in the class and memorize a lot of information for the tests, but they are multiple choice and 2 short answers where you get to choose from 3. Still, just memorize the short answer he gives in class and jot it down for the test.
He is good at teaching in class, however, he is not very flexible. His exams are pure memorization, and he switches up the last exam to include five chapters in the textbook we have never learned, along with having to memorize the things we have learned. It feels like he did this so that he can just grade faster with multiple some choice...
Great prof, very engaging lectures and seems to really care about his students' success after his class.
I loved this professor. His tests are super easy and the class is overall super easy was well. Sit in front so you are allowed to take notes using your computer. He is truly a super nice guy and super caring.
Professor Scharf is a gem of UM. His classes are taught like Ted Talks which makes them really engaging and the 50 mins go by fast. He is very strict about attendance and using phones/computers during class, but no students seemed to complain about it at all. Tests were a lot of memorizing, but other than that I loved this class a lot.
Took him for 301, 320, and 340. 320 is way harder than the other two but he tells you exactly what you need to know. Scharf is the boy. Take him.
Great teacher with amazing lectures and clear exams.
the best teacher at UM makes a boring class interesting
Amazing teacher, highly recommend. He truly cares about students and is passionate about what he teaches, being reflected in his classes.
He is an amazing professor! Truly cares about students and is passionate about what he teaches. Class is straightforward, and lectures are very engaging. Attendance not mandatory, but do NOT skip or be late. Only 3 easy midterm exams, and final project, which is super fun. He is very organized and approachable, take any of his classes if you can!
He is the best! Passionate, very aproachable and genuinely cares about students' success. Classes are well-structured, with engaging lectures that make learning enjoyable. This course includes three straightforward midterm exams, simple case study homeworks, and a group final project that's super fun. If you have the chance, definitely take him!
he is a really nice guy who truly wants to help his students succeed. It took me a while personally (til end of semester) to find a good way to study for the tests. easily available for office hours and will help your grade - gave me points back on questions. He clearly cares about teaching. no electronics and whole class is memorization based
Professor Scharf's class is great for those who want to learn. I will say it is pretty challenging. There are 2 midterms, and one final. There is also a presentation project that is somewhat challenging. The exams are memorization based, and non-multiple choice. He has a no-tech policy, which is strictly enforced unless specific circumstances.
Easily one of the best marketing classes I've ever taken. I feel like this class should be a prerequisite as it covers a lot of real life material that students will use moving forward. Prof Scharf Is a very caring and well respected teacher that genuinely gets wants to get to know his students and help them succeed.
I would recommend 340 to students in every department as for the first time in my seven-semester UM tenure I feel like I actually learned a new skill. Get ready for your hand to hurt from writing notes after the first few lectures but once you get used to it the course material is very straightforward. Plus Scharf's stories and rants KILL me.
AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! Be prepared to take lots of notes, however, time went by fast because the course is very engaging. If you study hard for tests, you will get an A, there are no trick questions. Says hi to me whenever I see him on campus.
Best professor I've ever had. He made me want to switch my major to marketing, class is very routined and you do the same thing mostly every class so you know what to expect. Study the notes and understand them and you will do fine on tests, memorization
The class seemed intimidating at first, because he has a very strict no phone policy. However, his lectures are extremely engaging and he genuinely cares about the success of every single student. His exams are memorization based with all short answers, but are very straight forward. He often lets you out early and will cancel a few friday classes!
He seems very intimidating the first day but hes actually super caring and an amazing professor. His tests are pure memorization, no homework, and 1 final project. Overall id say hes very amazing and funny. DONT U DARE walk in late to his class, ur better off missing it even if its just 5 minutes late.
Great teacher, knows his stuff. Talks really fast during notes, but is more than willing to repeat himself. The only warning of the class is DO NOT BE LATE. He hates people being late, even by a minute or two. Be on time and he is one of the best professors you will ever have.
He genuinely cares about his students and makes the effort to learn your name. His lectures are clear but also really interesting. He's extremely fair with grading, very approachable, and always willing to help. I feel really lucky to have taken his class and would recommend him to anyone!
great professor. some of the most practical, valuable stuff I learned in business was from his course. If you're looking for an easy A, slack off class don't take. If you're passionate about actually putting getting your moneys worth out of a class, take him.
Very organized and kind. The tests are pure memorization, so if you study hard you will do well. Very light homework and cancels class a lot.
Professor Scharf is the best professor I've ever had. He truly cares about his students. The class has 3 exams in which the content comes purely from the notes we take in class. There are no curveballs. If you study the notes well, then you will do very well on the tests. Overall, easy-class if you study notes and he is always there to help.
Scharf is a great professor! He is very clear with his class expectations, and if you listen to them and come to class, you should be fine. There was a group project that felt a little bit long, but also could've just been my group. Make sure to take the in-class notes, and skimming the chapters before the test helped clarify things. Great prof!
At the beginning of the I have my doubts because professor scharf lectures are all writing down terms. But at the semester went on I realized he really cared for his students and gives any help or clarification you need. He makes an effort to memorize every students name and drives them to succeed. TAKE HIM
Class is very easy -- everyday u start by watching a video, then go over a lecture which is just u writing down what he says, and then go over hw questions. There is a hw case due every class but takes 15-20 mins tops to do. Tests are legit j the notes u take in class but beware of attendance/being late bc he is strict on that.
Professor Scharf is an amazing professor who truly cares about building strong relationships with his students. His class consists of one video and then taking down the notes he lectures. There are 3 exams directly based on the class notes, as well as a final project that is super easy. Definitely take him for an easy A and an organized class.
Build a good relationship with him. He provides a structured class and you will end up learning. Put in effort to do well on all three exams and you should be solid. I really enjoyed this course and thought it was a great intro for the business school.
