Serious ego issues!! The worst professor at KCC! Very demeaning and rude!

The worst teacher ever. This guy really sucks, do not take him for economics.

He is a disaster! He loves to insult students when he/she fail to answer his questions in class. He is not fair on grading (papers), students would receive bad grade after revising their papers as he requested. His English speaking is poor than Jackie Chan does(Rush Hour), hard to understand what he says. Worst of all, he has short memory.

English is his second language. He has one big ego and likes to make fun of students. Economics is hard enough without a teacher making it more difficult for you. Avoid this teacher!

He won't like you if your a guy and would love you if you have cleavage. He does a good job at talking to your cleavage. He is a horrible professor and don't take his class. Do what you can to avoid hiim.

calls students stupid and insignificant if they answer wrong. and then gets mad when nobody wants to answer questions. he doesnt explain assignments clearly and looks at you like youre retarded if you ask him to clarify. then he wont. then he gets mad when everyone does it wrong. do not take.

Extremely unfair grader. His lectures are useless. He does not explain anything. He talks down to you and makes you feel worthless. He will also refuse to admit when he is wrong. Possibly the worst professor I've ever had.

if you are only looking to get the prerequisites done and dont care about the grade take his online. i had him last semester and still have no idea what he expects. now i have his WWW so i dont have to see his condescending looks when i receive my F papers. yay! HE NEEDS TO RETIRE!

use minimal effort in this class dont waste your energy, you will not win. if you can accept a C earlier in the semester and understand that your grade is out of your hands, that would be best. i got A's in EVERY english class ive ever had and the highest grade ive got on a paper for dik is a C. Dont bother.

Took the WWW class and it was ridiculously hard! There were 3 papers to write and it was harder than an actual english class! The quizzes weren't too bad but the tests were impossible to pass. He also rarely responded back to my emails when I needed help. The book barely helped also.

He is rude, intimidating, unreasonable, no respect to people. He likes to make fun of you to please girls. The WORST teacher I've ever had in KCC. Don't take his class even though he's the only choice. Do NOT make the same mistake i did.

Don't take his class! He shouldn't even be a professor. Doesn't teach at all and expects you to read a chapter and know the subject like you have have a phd. in it, and if not? He makes you feel really dumb. Grades hard, impossible to get an A. He's just overall a HORRIBLE professor!

Had his online class, his whole lesson plan consisted of reading the book, and writing papers. He didnt teach anything, and rarely responds to emails. Avoid him if possible, pay attention if not.

This instructor is by far the most difficult man I have ever had to deal with. He is extremely inflexible, demands perfection, and is extremely confusing. His instruction consisted of nothing other than listing some lecture notes on the Laulima site, nothing more. His lecture notes are absolutely unreadable, and do not help you understand.

Does anybody ever pass his online class? Every email I sent was replied with a "post in the discussion". It's answered by classmates as lost as you. Turn in your paper early for revision comments? Thru the entire semester, I had repeatedly asked for help, yet none was given. IMPOSSIBLE to please, and extremely demanding. His lectures consist of notes he has written, which use so many abbreviations its nearly impossible to understand. By far the worst instructor I've ever had. Doesn't help when you ask questions, just reposts syllabus.

Do NOT take this class online. He doesn't teach, just lists notes online (most of which you can't understand or just don't help). His quizzes are very difficult, tests are absolutely impossible. Writing assignments he says he will review, yet does not give ANY useful guidance and pretty much just crosses out paragraphs. He doesn't help strugglers.

I am a straight A student and because of this teacher, I lost my straight A streak. Literally the worst teacher I have had in my whole life. His lectures make absolutely no sense and he does not offer help. Not to mention that his test are ridiculously hard and uncorrelated to his lectures. Biggest mistake I have made during my college career.

DO NOT PICK HIM, PICK OTHER PROFESSORS. If you love getting A's pick SOMEONE ELSE. If you just need the credit still pick another professor, he will make your experience worse for nothing. The quiz are so hard to pass, even with the bare minimum. Please do not waste your time.

The most horrible teacher I never seen before, his lecture extremely boring, exam question doesn't make any sense, quizzes are extremely hard, doesn't like to answer question, easy to get mad, if you want to take ECON131, take in another college, do not take Dik class.

This professor is the most horrible professor I never seen before, if you have 5 times absent you will auto get a F for the course, lots of pop quizzes, exams also extremely impossible, just only allow 45 minutes, and answer 50 questions, after you complete the exam, you cannot go, I hate his teaching method and exam style very mush. avoid him

Professor is not approachable (not even over email) because expects you to know everything, not helpful at all.

This was the most difficult class I've ever taken and do not recommend it. Lots of reading; some weeks require 3 chapters of reading only to be quizzed on 1. Writing assignments are difficult. Weekly discussions require 3 posts throughout the week but sometimes he doesn't give enough topics to be discussed. Quizzes every sunday.

Don't take him in either ECON130 or ECON131. You will be suffer a big trouble when you take him, do not explain homework instruction well, lots of pop quizzes. Will not help you understand class material. Very rude and no respect to all student. If no one answer his question, he shout the class loudly. Always finish class late for 10 minutes.

Class is made up of discussion posts every week, quizzes, 3 papers, and 3 tests. Very tough grader. Isn't very helpful and can be rude to students who are confused about the material. I would suggest to take another teacher for Econ.

This is probably the worse professor I have ever had in my college years. I have had many online classes before taking his online ECON 131 class. His lectures are terrible and unorganized. In the beginning of the semester, you may tell how horrible his class is going to be by the way his syllabus written. NO EXTRA CREDITS in this class. Good luck!

Professor Dik's style is dry and disorganized. His system for written lecture, writing assignments and discussion questions is strange. My grade has suffered since Dik's expectations are unclear. Workload is heavy, and needs more focus. I advise you prioritize reading the lecture as much as the book chapters every week. Find a better teacher :)

I am a straight A student and cannot for the life of me understand anything in this class. There is no teaching whatsoever, only his own lecture notes to review before a series of very difficult forum/quiz questions. Often times, the questions cannot even be answered to his expectations with the notes provided. Worst class Ive ever taken.

The teaching is unorganized. Most directions and comments from the professor have typo's, it almost seems like he's testing us. These typos include wrong due/test dates. Also, he does not teach students he commands them, his comments are lethargic and insisting. No sense of genuine education.

This is honestly the WORST professor I have ever had in my entire life. He makes his tests himself even though his grammar is TERRIBLE. 10/10 will never take his class ever again. Trust me, save your tuition money and switch teachers while you still can.

He is extremely picky about his discussion posts and has a bad attitude. I would've dropped his class under different circumstances. Would most definitely not take his class again.

He isn't helpful what so ever. Bare guidance. He just says "read the lecture and try again" if you don't answer a discussion post correctly. His post give me a stroke to read as he uses different fonts, font sizes, and colors to accentuate material. Bad attitude. I would have dropped this class real quick if it wasn't for certain circumstances.

The lecture you have to write discussion posts about are not organized, and when you get something wrong he just writes back "Review lecture slides" in big bold red letters. Super rude when writing back to students if he gives actual feedback. The "lecture slides" are just a word doc posted onto Laulima you have to scroll through.... not worth it.

If you want to be belittled and told everything you're doing is incorrect, but get absolutely no help or constructive criticism to do better, then take his class. This professor is egocentric; teaching as a job, not to educate or uplift students. He gives no guidance of what to focus on, and overloads you w/ reading material. Terrible, don't do it!
