I took Professor Firat's class last year, and I used the business plan we wrote to apply for funding. Even when he warned in class that it will take a long time to get approved for the loan, the business plan would be the perfect start! And it was! I took small business management with this instructor and I recommend others to take this class with him especially those who are dreaming of becoming future CEOs. I took his Intro to Business class and I would take him again in a heartbeat. He offers a lot of extra credit at the end of the semester and his tests are all online. Also, his lectures are pretty good and he's very helpful and encourages group work. He explains everything really well. I really enjoyed his class.

He is a very smart professor, he really knows about things he is teaching, but he is also very strict. You better give the exact things he is asking for so you won't have problems with the grade. Usually, while my professors give lectures they just read from a PowerPoint or textbook without much extra detail. Professor Firat doesn't just rely on the book or PowerPoint and goes into explaining the topic and gives the class a relevant question to discuss amongst themselves before answering as a group to help understand how to apply the topic.

Telling the truth it is one of my favorite classes, the class was so interesting. I'd recommend it 100%, the book we took under this class(if you want to check) is Entrepreneurial Small Business 5th edition Katz, and access to McGraw Hill Connect is mandatory for this class(the only downside for this course), but otherwise you will learn a lot.
