I recommend him. You know what topics are coming in exam plus you get practice of it. He is great he really knows his stuff.

He's highly knowlegable about the course. If you are unclear about any of the concepts, he is VERY approachable, and will help you out, w/o making you feel stupid. Gives VERY detailed outline for the exam. His only fault is he may go off-topic sometimes.

Excellent teacher, makes the subject matter RELEVANT by giving detailed politically related examples. He strives to ensure your understanding. Can sometimes stray from topic and is very forthcoming with his far-left opinion (it's appreciated though). A little bias never killed anyone. Very interesting discussions in class.

What can I say about this man? Intelligent, confident and very helpful. I got B+ in his class even though I screwed up on the midterm. Read the book, attend lectures, and do the homework. I recommend you take him to learn and at the same time to get good marks. Overall excellent teacher!!!

This dude is jokes...He's sometimes hard to understand, but knows his stuff. If you know politics then your definitely gona get along with him. He gives out easy marks, so if your in class everyday then expect your self getting over B+.

The best liberal I have ever taken hands down. His tests are fair. His lectures are good and makes you interested. I wish all my liberals were with this prof.

Very flexible prof, asks students what chapters should be on exams, what dates are best, etc. Good prof but VERY disorganized. Exam included questions from previous chapter he said would not be on that test. Mark is 3 exams and one project/presentation. Definitely recommended as a prof and the course as a liberal. Easy mark.

Very easy prof. You really don't have to attend classes, just study from the text. The only real use in going to class is to get hints on what will be on the tests/exams because he will tell you exactly what to study (for the most part). I knew nothing about economics and ended with an A. Textbook is a must.

A professor who has a big heart to those non-serious students. His classes are long but we learned more than from books. Very a few students left early during his lectures. Very helpful and friendly professor. His non-repeatable good taste shirts are very impressed too ;)

You dont really have to attend class except to know what chapters to study (less than stated syllabus). Easy Marker. Very socialist orientation, the textbook is written by someone from the U.N! One quiz, two tests and an assignment. Frankly, a *very easy* liberal by a very easygoing prof. Doubt the course will stretch your mind though.

One of the more educated professors teaching at Ryerson U. He is really willing to teach and listen to his students. There was one quiz, midterm, group project and presentation. I would recommend all of you to take this course as an upper elective.

Great Professor! I learned more about economics with so much interest. He made the course less complex to make sure his students understand the material fully. Attend his lectures (so much fun), read a bit, work on problems given by him and on line, you'll end up with an A. There are no tricks with this guy, everything is straight forward!!!!

Great Prof!!!!! He's very helpful and wants you to succeed in his class. The accent may be a little hard to understand at times but overall a great prof and would take his classes again!!!!

Very EASY prof.. trust me, you cant get an easier prof than this for ANY ecn course. Attend the class (especially before any midterm/exam/quizzes) because he tells u EXACTLY what to study. I'd suggest it for an UL, it's actually the most compelling liberal I've taken at Ryerson. Hayani is very friendly and charismatic Easy A+ just look at notes no need to buy text.

The best professor I have had at Ryerson so far. Explains well, provides helpful homework assignments, very friendly and helpful. The midterms and final exam wer all multiple choice, and reasonably easy to understand if you had done the reading/attended class.

I took Course with him in suumer. He is best prof I've ever met. If you want to learn something and receive good grade, then take him. Planning on taking another course with him in a fall.

I've taken two econ classes with this prof. He is hands down the nicest and most helpful professor ever! He is SOOO patient and doesn't mind explaining things again to make sure everyone understands. It's too bad some of the students are SO rude in his class because what he talks about is RELEVANT and will help you! I def. recommend him!

He's retired but teaches the occasional class through continuing education. His accent makes him difficult to understand, and he's reluctant to maintain discipline which makes it difficult when some individuals disrupt class by chatting. He's reasonably flexible and willing to meet to discuss any issues and answer questions.

Excellent professor, very clear and precise and gets the information across however he may sometimes drift away a little. Get to know the professor as he is a friendly and charming professor.

Exams are very doable and he has a passion and zeal for the subject matter which made the classes very interesting. To top it all off, just a fantastic human being, very empathetic and easy going. One of the few classes where I felt my efforts being represented properly by the mark I received. Fair marker, fair exams, what else could you ask for?

If you do not take him, you will make a big mistake.

Dr. Hayani has been one of the best professors I have ever had at Ryerson. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the Economics of Immigration and it is very obvious in his lectures as he presents the course with great enthusiasm. He genuinely cares for his students and will go beyond his call to ensure success.

Professor Hayani is great. I had Economics with him at Seneca college. He knows everything and his method of teaching is great. Quiz in class helped a lot to learn the material. His was always there for students. I wish to have another class with him in near future.

Best prof I've had at Ryerson. He's vibrant full of energy and goes off on tangents. Great life examples on real world issues. He makes funny jokes and is very opinionated about his beliefs against communism and why freedom and education are integral for society.I learnt a lot from his class. Not only about Microeconomics in 6 weeks but about life.

Professor Hayani is one of the best teachers I had during my college life at Seneca College. He always took the time to explain everything in detail, and never got upset when I interrupted him to ask questions during class. I would be happy to have classes from him in the future.
