I didn't like the fact that she doesn't check over homework.

If u pay attention and do the hw u'll understand. Since she doesnt speak good english if you goof off and dont pay attention when it comes time for the test u won't do well. She doesnt make u do the hw. and u take a quiz everyday, its extra credit

she's awesome, very helpful. i took her for spring term. only thing you do is take notes, every monday you have a 2 question quiz. online hw is mandatory and the points you receive from the quiz she count them as lab hours. take her she's easy and her test are multiple choice which is no more than 20 problems

She is a very nice lady and a good math teacher. She does have a quite thick Hispanic accent but I understood her pretty well. Take notes in class. Extra credit opportunity EACH CLASS. I use to be really bad at math but ever since the beginning of taking Idanias math class she inspired me to keep pushing and saying that anyone can do math if they practice. Professor Pestano is easily one of the best teachers at MDC. She is very caring and always communicates with her students. Although she has a very thick accent that may interrupt the learning environment, she makes up for it by being very attentive in class.

If you miss ONE CLASS she will drop you;Because she say that her entire class is divided in two so it counts as a two absence. Only one make up and is that at the end the final exam (which is really hard)counts twice replacing your lowest grade.

Personally I do not like math. I was never good at it. I took Professor Pestano's class for 3 different math courses and I passed all! Show up to class ON TIME, be respectful, do the work, pay attention, do the homework. She is understanding and will give help when needed. You do not need the book in hand however, you need the online book

It is very hard to understand her and she teaches really fast and hardly likes to help if your lost. BUT this class is super easy. Shes gives MANY opportunities. There is no way you can fail this class. Unless youre just not showing up. Even the homework she gives, you can do it over to get 100%. And in class quizzes are extra credit for exams.

Her absolute goal is to help you understand Algebra. She clearly explains each topic and follows the syllabus. I did not have any difficulty with the way she Speaks. No food or cell phones while she is teaching Be on time do your homework and study what she teaches you and you will do great.

Super funny and nice. The class it's self can be hard. MyMathLab sucked the life out of me. This professor can move a little fast but is willing to explain further if needed. Lastly, I had no trouble understanding her but some classmates who weren't Hispanic were sometimes confused.

shes awesome but her tests are officially PROCTORED nowi took her twice and this time shes p r o c t o r i n g her exams through lockdown browser. shes a good teacher tho but those who arent ent strong at math will struggle a bit.

Math has never been an easy subject for me but she made it very easy for me to pass the class with a B. She uses MyMath Lab, there are 4 test through lockdown browser and an optional final exam. Pay attention to the class and watch the videos and you will definitely pass the class. She is an amazing professor! 10/10 recommend.

She is nice but you need to pay attention to the class and be present in all the 4 tests they are in paper 10 questions each and the final 20 questions, do all the homework because that is 20% of the class grade, yes you learn in the class but you need to take time on the side to study if not you won't pass because it's a lot in a short time.
