Dr. Ali was able to make things pretty understandable to someone who has no knowledge of general chemistry. Not the best at clarifying things if you're confused, but it's because she really wants you to think about the problem at hand. Good sense of humor for the most part and she definitely cares about the students.

Idk where all these good reviews are coming from because I have not had a great time in her class. She is very hard to understand during lectures due to a monotone voice mixed with a heavy accent. The actual class is set up fine and the online quizzes somewhat prepare you for the test. Have fun relying on YouTube and reading your textbook to pass

Good professor. Do the suggested homework, a variation will show up in the test. Chemistry is not easy at any level of college course. Get additional help from online videos.

She helped me getting my confidence back. Reminded me how important family is and I should work hard for my family and my future. I am going to ask her to write a reference letter for my transfer school's program.

With COVID19 pandemic in the summer session of 2020, all events/meetings/assignments were online/virtual. Enough flexibility to complete the assignments on time. I just had to manage my time with a lot of planning, particularly, I had to work (essential worker) to get my good grade. I earned it, no bragging.

The course is a higher level one, but I maintained regular study practice and won a good grade. This will do good to me on my admission/application for nursing school.

She was one of if not the worst professor I have ever had. Her lectures are her just showing filled out notes, and she is extremely rude and unhelpful.

It is COVID-time, different style of learning. Course was completely online, non-mandatory zoom meetings explained questions. Listen to the lecture videos a couple of times and solve similar problems - you're ready to take the tests. Labs are online simulation (unlimited attempt), easy to tackle. I may end up with A+. Enrolling in her class again.

Entirely virtual class with prerecorded lectures of the chapter materials, online quizzes and tests. She had zoom meetings every week but attendance was optional. I didn't attend those meetings as I was a t work, but watched the recorded sessions at the link she posted. It was a good experience during the COVID time.

The lecture videos are online. Learn from there if you skip class. Attendance was non mandatory and gave extra credit point. It helped a lot. She dropped the lowest lab grade, helped me when I was absent due to sickness. A lot of quiz questions showed up in the test. The problems in test were very similar to the ones done in class.

I really only passed this class because I put in the extra time with tutoring and teaching myself. Not to say she's a bad instructor as she knows the material very well, but I found it hard to follow along at times. Very particular about work so I suggest showing it even if you know the answer. Very understanding person too as life happens
