Oceans easy, easy selfpaced class just stay up on your tests.
would never take a course with him again,
The tests he writes for oceans are OMG easy, and he's so good about posting lecture notes!
I have him for EQ's & Volcano's. His lectures are kind of boring and he's slightly difficult to understand. He does give lecture notes in class and posts them online. He gives a test review and some chances for extra credit as well. Very low stress class. I would take him again.
I've had him for three classes: oceans which was incredibly easy, resources of latin america and earthquakes & volcanoes which were both average - what I would expect at jr/sr level classes. He goes out of his way to give access to his power point slides & lecture notes & has convenient office hours for help. He always adds a curve too!
very good prof.
He is extremly helpful when you don't understand something. His tests are really straight forward. Always has time for his students and can relate to our level. I would defintely recommend the proffesor!!!
Read the Chapters. Test are pretty easy if you know your stuff.
i couldn't understand a word he said b/c of his acsent but he posts the notes online and if you read the chapters the tests a pretty easy. Final exam is optional.
NICE TEACHER ALL AROUND. COME TO CLASS BECAUSE HE GIVE BONUS FOR ATTENDANCE. READ THE SLIDES AND BOOK.
Clear structure and expectations for class. Simple tests (no surprises). Very willing to help students with questions.
This is the third class that I have had Dr. Pujana as an instructor. He is absolutely fantastic. He is always ready to spend extra time with a student or take the tiem to ensure that the material is understood by the class. We need more professors like him.
I can't believe what I am reading, He is a easy teacher, WTF!!! This guy is absolutely hard. It feels like he's preparing us for WFAA News Weather Cast. I highly recommended to look at another elective because if your looking for an easy grade, forgetaboutit.
Cannot understand him at all. He does not teach well. His tests are easy. Basically, in this class, you will teach yourself. 5 (final and comprehensive) test is optional.
DO. NOT. TAKE. He knows what he's talking about, but his accent was very thick to the point I thought he was speaking Spanish (his native language). His tests were so difficult that I passed with a C. This class was way too hard for non-science majors and I would suggest to avoid at all costs!!!
Great prof. would love to take another class from him.
Great Professor!!! Couldn't ask for anything more. Attentive to students, always makes you feel like your questions are worthwhile. Wants to make sure that you understand the material at all times. Thick accent, but after a few weeks, you understand almost everything he says. I would definitely take any of his courses again.
Online Class has timed Tests... The whole class complained and he increased the time to 30minutes. It is ridiculous that he has a 20 question test in this short period of time. The tests are very hard, and he does not give extra credit. The test questions are confusing and tricky which is ridiculous in a time test. An awful class.Do Not Take this
Not always the most interesting lecture to sit through, but he definitely knows his stuff and is informative. Tests were easy, mainly because I felt I knew the material. Overall, a good teacher. Some people complain about his accent, but I could understand him fine.
Took his online course for the oceans, so I was never in the classroom but through email correspondence he was very rude and completely unwilling to help out with the enormous amount of issues I had in taking the tests and refused to offer alternate assignments when, because of a software error, several of my online test grades were never recorded.
The class was not extraordinarily difficult so do not despair if you are stuck with it. However, if you can take another class do so. He was disorganized, over-utilized his even more incompetent TA, and rarely responded to email. The assignments were also very inconsistent with the syllabus. But I must admit that he did have extensive knowledge.
I took the online section, but he is far and away the worst professor I've had in college. Very rude over e-mail and fails to be held accountable for his messed-up, horribly worded tests. The entire class complained about the timed exams and how he worded the exams, but he didn't care. By all means, stay away and take another professor/course.
Enrolled in his online class.Guy is rude, not helpful, late response on the email...DID I SAY RUDE????OMG...I am NON science major and I am about to graduate, this guy in every singe email is saying how I DONT CARE ABOUT HIS CLASS!!!! RUde...RUDE...QUIZ every week, 12 quizzes, most of them easy some hard, but if you miss the quiz...you are done..
Read the chapters&study the notes and you'll do great. Great self paced class!
really easy online class. you just have to read the chapter and answer the questions that are straight from the book. The report is the hard part because of so much less info available. do not procrastinate and you will do fine! :)
This teacher is worthless and rude. The class is a blow off because hes too lazy to provide good teaching materials. Just a test every week, with 30 mins time frame. test are straight from the book. If you want a easy scienece course, take this class. But if you run into problems or like to ask questions, he's rude and unlikely to help.
Not hard, just weird. Tests where there's several questions covering just one idea, or just rephrasing the same question several times, while other concepts are skipped. The grammar in his tests & communications are inconsistent with that of a college professor. Incredibly rude, when I politely reported an issue he replied "how is that my problem?"
(EQ&V online) Weekly timed tests over a chapter. You'll need to read the chptr, make an index of where to find info,& be a fast fact finder. It's not about knowing the info, but how fast u can find it in the (cheap) textbook. easy A.
IF you need a science, take this and get it over with. Test questions are straight out of the book and you have PLENTY of time to take the quizzes. No final. He even offers extra credit!
This professors tests are difficult because you need to understand the topic rather than memorize it. He doesnt give questions from the book or lectures word for word. You have to really think, he makes the questions pretty complicated and different and you need to truly understand the topic to understand and answer the questions.
Loved this class. I never attended, just needed the book -is practically a magazine about the ocean. Read the chap before exam day.. I made an A on every test that I actually read the chapters, and a C on the one test I decided to just review, and not do the easy reading. Professor is very kind and knowledgable, but I found lectures unnecessary.
Great class for Business Majors needed to meet Science criteria. Instruct was helpful when needed... but this was web based and very straight forward.
you will be tested on material that is NOT in the required material. If you come across a test question that is not covered in the book, don't bother asking him to adjust your score he will say "this is not the point". Be prepared to have your GPA lowered because he has ego issues.
This was suppose to be my easiest class..ended up being the hardest. He has weekly timed tests that are tough bc there is so much information to know and also his test questions can be confusing. He claimed he would "round" grades up but I had a 79 and he didnt round to an 80 so he shouldnt say that if he isnt really going to do it. HARD CLASS!
he words exam questions word for word out of the textbook so it trips students up when he says that the answer is incorrect (example- the word for word answer may be answer a, but he says answer c is “implied” so the answer is e "both a & c"). Everything else on elearning was copied from the textbook publisher's website. The class was tedious
Simple class, easy A. Even offers optional extra credit. Read (don't scan) and understand the chapters, concepts and materials then take the online tests. If you're not happy with first attempt then you get a 2nd try and the test grade is avged. Total of like 10 tests. Really simple class. I'm happy I took it.
Online geology...not too difficult if you're not bad at time management
This professor is ok, the biggest problem I had was eLearning crashing on me which happened several times. Majority of his questions are difficult to find in the book and some are just worded really poorly. The best way to make an A in this class is to use ALL of your resources.
Test were very inconsistent and were very difficult. He never replied to my emails.
Online class. Incredible amount of work needed to make an A. It's possible, but for a non-science major this is a lot. Tests are given through a 3rd party publisher and the tests they write have at least 2-3 very unfair questions per test that, even with open book, are very confusing and difficult (sometimes just flat out wrong too). Prof is nice.
I needed the class and against all the advice here, I thought I'd take a chance and take the class. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. His tests reviews are so different than the actual test, you might as well just try and literally memorize everything. Since your grade is basically the average of all the tests, this is a big problem. You have been warned.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. Might as well not even use the test reviews because eve when I went through each slide and answered everything on the review, I still failed the test. You can hardly understand him. This should have been an easy class and it definitely wasn't with him as the professor. DONT TAKE HIM
Oceans//Buy searchable online textbook and use google/yahoo. One test a week for like 8 weeks and class is over. Easy A
It's a tough class but he is very nice. You really have to study as in read the book over and over again till you get it.
If you're a science major, this class will be a breeze. I cannot see the validity of the sour reviews left, but Dr. Pujana was very friendly. You will, however, have to read every single chapter he tells you to in order to pass the class. Not to worry, they're easy reads and the topic - Oceans - is very interesting. I really enjoyed this professor.
Easy A. You just have to have the right notes.
idk why you have to pay the school for this class??!! he tells you buy the online book (100$) read chapters, you have a hw + quiz every week online (most answers are NOT on quizlet or google ) mid term and final are taken in testing center (no open book or online help) and only one attempt. NO ONLINE LECTURES OR POWER POINTS;; WORST CHOICE !!
Let's put it this way: he does not teach. He has his modules from McGraw Hill, and everything is through them. The tests, quizzes, exams (yes, even midterms) and NONE ARE CLEAR. A lot of times, the system is so messed up that all answers are wrong to a question and he will not fix it. A lot of people dropped this class. Would not take again.
This class is an easy A, but he has changed the format a little. You have 10 tests online but you also have a midterm and a final in the testing center. There is 10 sections of homework and if you do the elearning active reading it counts as extra credit. The textbook is very dry and there is no online lectures. You get 2 attempts on online tests.
Required way too much work for an online class about oceans! Weekly tests, homework, and smart book assignments typically over two long chapters. Lots of test questions about super tiny details from the book.
I had him for S-2015 History of Life and Earth. Lectures were passionless and mattered exactly once the entire year. Expect for tests to be pushed back. He is slow to respond to email. Tests were rarely returned and he is very slow in grading them. Definitely knows the material, but his accent is sometimes hard to understand. Many technology issues
Online Oceans course is not as easy as online Earthquakes and volcanoes. But overall, its better than taking a lab if you aren't a sciencey person.
Took paleobio with him. Essentially, just be on his good side and read the book like 5 times before a test. His lecture are all over the place and hard to follow sometimes. Compared to how hard the rest of the Geology and Geophysics teachers are though, he's a fair grader
Had him for Paleobiology, S2016. Lectures are exceptionally uninteresting, he just reads powerpoint summaries of the textbook, and the overall quality of his written materials (assignments, labs) is poor. Labs are frequently internet scavenger hunts, and his expectations for assignments often conflict with what he explicitly tells students.
OCEANS EZPZ online class, just do the work and set a reminder on your phone so you don't screw up and forget to do the tests.
Easy A. Took the class online.
If your time management skills are good then you will be okay. In order to unlock your exams, you have to do the readings which are gauged by you answering questions, like filling in the blanks. To find the answer that corresponds with the question, the textbook highlights the passage in which it is in. Easy. Kind of time consuming.
I consider myself hardworking in that I give all my classes my best. However, this class was impossible to do. Made the mistake of not taking it online. In class lectures are boring and long. Reviews for tests don't help. Professor isn't accessible AT ALL(doesn't reply to emails AT ALL). No curves. Advices to not buy the book but u should to pass
The Lectures were dull and very unclear. I completely despised going to class every time I had to.
Do the readings and keep up with the due dates of each quiz and exam, and you will pass with an A.
Dr. Pujana is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable, and very willing to help his students do their very best. If you are struggling, you simply need to speak to him and he will be there. I have had him for several classes & if you're a geo major like me pay attention in each one--the material builds up over time.
He's by the far the WORST teacher I have had at UT Dallas. His classes are so dull and boring. Attendance is kind of mandatory because he quizzes you every class.
Skips all over, test are about topics not covered and dont rely on the test review to help you pass. Many test items are omitted.
There are mini-quizzes every class that need a password only the professor can give, so skipping class is definitely not a good idea. The test reviews are basically useless and so is the textbook. I don't where the professor gets these test questions from (probably his butt). Lectures are no help at all. You cannot understand him, so don't bother.
He's an alright guy, tests are sometimes a little tough, but then he gives like a 21 point curve and you're okay with it. He's a bit tough to understand so pay attention.
The class shouldn't be hard, but somehow he manages to make it hard. Nobody knows where he pulls his test questions from, and his lectures are hard to understand. He also doesn't follow the textbook in a coherent manner, and will often not know what is on his own PowerPoint. If you really need credit, take it online.
This class is an actual nightmare. Pujana drags on in lecture, focusing on material that will not be covered on the exam which, is the majority of your grade split into 4 tests with 1 additional to replace your lowest. He says you do not need the textbook, you need it more than his lectures. Miniquiz at end of each class to force attendance. Avoid
Online, so no lectures; just read the textbook, do practice problems, take a test. The tests are hard, do not align with the practice problems, and test for memorization of details instead of concept comprehension. The textbook is boring, and the chapters are long. The professor is available to meet in person if necessary.
Online. You basically teach yourself the material. You can open the textbook during the quizzes and use Quizlet. You can also retake the quiz, so don't wait until the last minute.
I literally took this class while giving birth and caring for my newborn. Literally just take the test and youll be good. Quizlet is helpful too. Also when taking practice just do the practice and if you dont know answer look to the right to read more and youll read the answers. Its an easy A . Take it in replace of science. Good luck
The chapters are really long and not worth reading. If you take the online class you have to buy the online textbook in order to have access to the quizzes. You have two tries on each quiz that you take, so getting an A is super easy. Quizzes are timed you have 35 minutes to complete 20 questions. Overall take this class online!
Easiest A ever. You'll probably get tired of all the busywork though.
Online summer class, need to buy code to access. Gives extra credit and 2 makeup exams. Must finish readings in order to access exams after every 2 chs. Prof will meet if you email. Test help on quizlet as well. You have one week to take the exams after they open. Plenty of time. 2 weeks in the fall/spring semesters. Def recommend.
Overall, this online class wasn't too bad. The LearnSmart assignments are a waste time as they don't help at all in preparing you for the quiz, plus they are time consuming (typically 80 questions per assignment). Reading the text wasn't necessary either. What really helped me was studying the Quizlets you can find online before the quiz!
The in-class Oceans course was miserable. Professor Pujana has the most unorganized lectures and his tests cover only 10% of the material taught in the lectures. He says the textbook is optional, but it is crucial. He sporadically flips through his slides making it difficult to understand the material.
Test heavy and a lot of material but it's an easy grade if you do the work
Has strong accent so can be hard to understand, as well as having dull lectures. Tests off lecture and book. Posts power point on BB. 5 tests plus 1 optional comprehensive Final. Mini quizzes daily goes toward participation. No Homework.
easy A + class. Lots of busy work tho. exams open every week and you have 2 weeks to do them. 2 recovery exams and hws aren't due until the end of semester but you have to do the hws to access the exam
Just do the assignments and you'll get an easy A. There's reading assignments and 10 exams (quizlet is your best friend). You have 2 recovery tests if you miss any exams. Since it's online it's easy to get behind, so be careful. Would definitely retake.
Took the Oceans class online. Lots of chapter questions, but easy to get 100 on them. The only thing needed to get an A in this class is the perseverance to push through the chapters and not miss any quizzes. No final exam.
This professor is very caring to student. I did not pass the class after final, however, he gave me a extra credit homework to pass this class, which is a easy ppt work.
This is the worst professor I have ever had. His test questions are ridiculous and unreasonable. You have to do the memorize the review, textbook, and powerpoints and you still will get massive curveballs on the exams. You will never know what will be on his exam. I heard the online class is better cause you get to take every test twice.
Since this class was online it was very easy to complete. The LS assignments are easy to complete and the exams are super easy if you have access to google lol. The one thing I was angry at was how expensive the online access was for the textbook/quizzes but that's about it
Easy A+... if taken online. Really easy gpa booster all from the comfort of your bedroom. Would definitely recommend not using HS credit for any science courses, and take this class instead to increase your chances at a high gpa.
Horrible Professor, basically you have to be in class and there is a pop quiz every time at the end of the class. his test are always so hard that it looks like they do not belong in a textbook DO NOT TAKE HIM
I only took this class bc ppl said it was an easy A. WRONG. a lot of questions weren't on quizlet and many times quizlet was wrong. Tests are worth 90% of your grade so I would be careful in taking this class. Only take if you have time to read the expensive online textbook.
DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR A REGULAR CLASS. He is the worst professor I have had at UTD. There is a pop quiz after every every class, and his lectures and textbook does not even relate to the test. the curves are not helpful either
Took this class - The Oceans - online for my science credit. Extremely easy if you just read the textbook. Most of the test questions can be found online anyways. Don't know how anyone got lower than an A. The hardest thing about it is actually finding the motivation to read such boring material. Other than that just do the work on time.
The teacher does a great job of laying out the semester for you so you can prepare in advance for exams. The only downside of this class was the chapter homework that took a lot of time. I really liked how they gave you a recovery test if you forget to take one of the assigned ones because it really saved me.
Took online course. A lot of busy work, but very easy. You wouldn't learn anything, but you could honestly just randomly click answers to pass the assignments and Quizlet the tests and still make an A+. Gives several weeks to complete each assignment, so a lot of wiggle room so long as you don't let it pile up. Easy GPA booster
Online course. Very easy. Please note that this professor is very lazy. The entire course is done through an online textbook (exams and assignments) meaning that you _have_ to spend almost $100 if you want to take this course and actually receive credit.
One of the worst professors Ive had this far at college. His lectures are so long and he is difficult to understand. Ive heard taking the class online is okay but the in person session was horrible.
Easy A as long as you take the class online. Recommend taking if you're in need of an easy science core.
This was such an easy A. You have to try hard to fail in this Course. Never once had to reach out to the prof because everything was so clear. You don't need the book. However, the online package, which you need for homework and tests, comes with one. He has more online classes and I have signed up for one already. Overall, awesome course.
This classy is an easy A for anyone looking to complete their core science classes. You can always do chapter quizzes ahead of time and use Quizlet extensively. This class is all stress-free, but you will need to plan ahead, also buy the textbook for the course, which sucks, but worth it. Took Geo online and Earthquakes and Volcanoes online
This teacher is the best.
Easy online class. Basically you answer questions about a chapter as you read it, then take a test over the chapter. You can't get under 100% on the chapter homework because you can always retry a question, but for the tests he allows two attempts with the highest one counted towards your grade. You are usually given a week to take the tests.
This class is a full online course. What you'll do is read the online textbook, answer questions, after two chapters you will take a test, rinse and repeat. Reading each chapter can be time-consuming but not difficult. The unit tests are due weekly but you do everything at your own pace. Sometimes you can look up test answers, sometimes you can't.
Pretty straight forward - which I appreciated. My suggestion: take it online. Not self-paced, but basically self-paced. Read the book, do the homework, take the tests, and you're good. Not a class that requires a lecture. Just do what's expected. Truly that simple. 10/10 would take again. I reiterate, online.
Don't be put off by the Prof's rating. Take this class online, work on your own pace, read the textbook / use the internet and it's an easy A. HW and Tests due every week. The due dates are defined and clear from the start. Keep a consistent pace going and you'll be fine.
Pujana was a great prof. would recommend. would take class again.
10 total quizzes based on the textbook. Easy to keep up with the workload. Extremely caring and understanding.
The easiest class ever took it in fall 2020 during the covid semester and all you do is a test a week. Show up and pass, lterally.
Taught us straight from the online textbook. The issue is the tests. Out of the 20 questions on each test, I'd say maybe 3-4 of them resemble the textbook quizzes. You won't survive without googling quizlets, and even then, you'll get 3-5 questions that aren't from a quizlet or the textbook, resulting in a high chance for a lot of B'c and C's.
This class is great to complete your science credits!
i did not see the professor once. i took the online class and everything is done on McGraw Hill Connect so you do have to pay to do ur assignments. Easiest class of my life
I do NOT recommend this class. This class is completely from the textbook, but the test questions rarely match the information in it. There are quizlets that will help you prepare for the test. When I emailed the professor about issues I was having with the class, he responded relatively quickly but didn't care. I learned nothing from this class.
Take this class online and it is the easiest A you will ever get. The professor does not give lectures or anything, it is similar to an online driving school where you read a chapter, take a test at the end, move on to the next chapter, rinse, repeat. It will take maybe 1 or 2 hours at most out of your week.
Such an easy A+. You will have to buy the textbook/quiz program but other than that, everything shows up on the internet if you're familiar on how to do so. I don't understand how ppl are not getting A in this class unless they really just can't do copy and paste.
Dr. Pujana's course is only graded on exams. He does not respond to emails quickly and often doesn't put an answer to your question in email. Tests are pretty easy except for the fact he changed the format on the last exam for both lab and lecture. Not much help on lab. I had to do lots of extra research for lab.
The online class is super easy and organized! Just be sure to stay on top of deadlines and you will do fine.
This was the second ISNS class I was required to take and the professor isn't really involved. Structured with 10 chapter HWs and 10 chapter "tests." You do the hw until you get a 100 to unlock the chapter test which is 20 MC/TF and you get two attempts. He doesn't open everything at once, so you can't work ahead but this class is an easy A
Have to buy a smartbook for assignments, they're due at 11: AM, weird timing so don't wait till the last minute, other than that super easy just very time-consuming.
The class is asynchronous. You do things on your own without the professor, but I never needed his help. There are 10 SmartBook quizzes which you need to get a 100 on to unlock the tests (mostly multiple choice & T/F). All the material is based on the book. The SmartBook quizzes can get tedious, but do you work & you'll get an A.
I took Earthquakes and Volcanoes entirely online - I think I received maybe one announcement from the Prof. at the beginning of the year and heard nothing since then. Easy class - just textbook homeworks and a weekly quiz, so maybe a couple hours of work a week. If you need an easy credit, take this class. Easy A plus if you do the work.
This class was really, really fun. It was online and asynchronous. The subject matter of the class itself was pretty boring but the work was nowhere near strenuous to do. So long as you follow the due dates (I did all of the tests the day they opened), you will be able to pass.
DO NOT take this class. The material is all over the place and the slides are horrendous (I'm talking multiple paragraphs on each slide). Since everybody was failing the tests (all obscure info), they did a review, and the professors themselves got the questions wrong. Then argued about what answer *they thought* was correct. Avoid at all costs.
This was not a hard class at all. You spend about 2 hours a week on the course in total because it's online and asynchronous. You take one quiz each week after completing the readings. I don't know how he is in person since he doesn't do any of the actual teachings for this course.
Very easy class, all you need to do is make sure you are on top of the reading, which need to be completed in order to take the tests. The test answers can be found in the textbook and you have two attempts. Just be on top of the work which takes maybe like 1 or 2 hours a week.
You will have to buy Pearson, assignments are time-consuming but it's an easy A. I would literally watch TV while doing the work because you do not need to pay attention.
To be completely honest, I have no idea what Ignaico Pujana looks or sounds like. I took one of his online courses and only heard from him at the beginning of the semester and whenever he reminded us that a test was due. You buy the course from Pearson and simply completely assignment there. The course was super easy. Just do the work.
Professor Pujana did not teach. No seriously, he told us to buy a digital textbook and complete the included weekly readings along with the quizzes and exams. That was all. He never did anything else besides tell us to basically go buy a different course. And it was a really tedious one. I tried to report this to UTD but was sent on a goose chase.
No clue what this professor looks like or even sounds like. But that's not the point, this course was light work as I completed all of my science credits with this professor as his courses were asynchronous, which is fantastic because usually science courses take a lot out of your week.
Everything is online. Textbooks have to be paid for and tests are all online as well. Two chances and the highest score is taken. All questions are mostly multiple choice.
Just an online class where you have to take 2 hour minimum chapters. Way too long, cut into my job time.
Online course where all the assignments and exams are online. They aren't hard, just tedious and take up a good amount of time. Exams were due at 11am on their respective days, so I would recommend having them done the day before. Other than that, really simple class and could do the class on my own time. Would recommend
Everything is online as long as you pay attention to deadlines you should easily be able to get an A.
This class is entirely online and you'll usually have very little interaction with Professor Pujana. All there is for you to do is homework from the textbook and unit tests but other than that a very straightforward and great class.
This class is entirely online and you'll usually have very little interaction with Professor Pujana. All there is for you to do is homework from the textbook and unit tests but other than that a very straightforward and great class. Very simple course.
You complete chapter questions and then a quiz on what you learned. You do this every week until it's over. It's the best online class.
Amazing class.
super easy but a lot of questions on assignments. would recommend overall though.
super easy class. would take if u need to get your science hours out of the way.
The smart books are very long and have a lot of concepts but it is an easy A class. The professor is great and very helpful.
Earthquakes and Volcanoes with Professor Pujana is a the easiest A but only if you are willing to put in 1-2 hrs per week. There are weekly chapter HW and unit tests (super easy), be prepared to spend around $90 on the required digital textbook. Super straightforward class, you can do the work while watching TV. Easy A, just do the work on time.
It's as simple as this: Homework and tests are easy. They will take around 2-4 hours a for a week's worth of assignments. Aside from how long and somewhat tedious the work is, if you can get into a flow, this is an EASY A. Take this class.
First time I had to actually try to fail a class, lmao.
Smart books are long but it is an easy A class
Assigns a ridiculous amount of homework and tests per semester. Set aside 5-6hrs a week for homework's alone. It was very apparent he was not prepared for this semester as he updated assignments to be due two years before the actual due date. (Not kidding, he set it for 2021). Locking tests to require 150 question + homework weekly is absurd.
It's a good async class if you want an A, but you do need a textbook. There's 16 SmartBook assignments and tests where you get 2 attempts. Quizlet and the textbook have some of the answers, but a lot of the questions on the tests are different from the SmartBook assignments. Not a super stressful class though, and doesn't take that much time.
I don't know why people are giving this course a bad rating, because this is genuinely one of the best and easy courses if you just do the work! Every week you get homework and yes it can be long but you can space it out during the week or just do it in all one sitting and exams are open for 2 weeks! just do the work and put in your calendar exams
Simple easy class do the chapters and take the test each week. It is a very easy class to take for science credit.
This is a blow-off class. You literally can just use quizlet for everything. You have to purchase a book but that is just part of the course. (You use McGraw-Hill).
Oceans is a very easy science credit if taken online through the McGraw Hill textbook. Assignments take about 1-2 hours a week. You will score very highly if you take your time and don't rush. The syllabus lists exactly when everything opens and closes. Do each assignment on time the week that it is published and you will have no work during finals
One of the easiest As I gotten at UTD besides ITSS 4395
The online volcanoes class is a LOT of work. Did not hear much from the professor all semester. The course is self guided and very self explanatory, but it is just an INCREDIBLE amount of busy work to do. It is an easy A at the expense of hours of time commitment.
A super easy online science credit. Just follow the syllabus, do the weekly assignments, and you'll get an A. The textbook and Quizlet make studying a breeze. unstuck AI can also be a helpful study tool.
A kind-of-nothing class with lots of reading that you had to pay $90 for on top of your college tuition. How fun! How joyous! Just know, that the class Discord is your best friend.
Professor Pujana is awesome! Class was online and asynchronies, so we rarely heard from him. Everything is on McGraw Hill. Assignments are long and tedious but super easy. Exams are easy too. Easy way to get science credit out the way.
Weekly assignments were relatively quick to get through, the class was very laid-back. Highly recommended for a relaxed, informative free credit.
I took The Oceans with this professor completely online. The work is not difficult, and it's all out of the online textbook. Just read the syllabus and keep up with the assignments. You get two weeks to do each test, and there are prerequisite questions in the chapters. Good class if you just need a science credit to get out of the way.
A super easy online science credit and GPA booster. The syllabus has clear deadlines, and the class is somewhat self-paced. The work is not difficult. Before each test, you must complete prerequisite questions for a completion grade. You get two weeks to finish each test.
self-paced, clear grading schedule, communicative professor. Fairly easy, it all comes down to reading the textbook.
This class was super easy. Dr. Pujana opens up assignments weekly, but if you finish them right when they open, you can be done with this class by the first week of November. It was only assignments and tests, but you get 2 attempts on the tests and if you accidently miss one, you can take up to 2 make up tests.
Such an easy class. Everything is online. Take that how you will. Only downside is the textbook is expensive and you have to buy it.
Very straightforward class, and very easy. The only complaint is having to buy the textbook, but tbh it's worth it for how smooth this class was.
Really easy class with one homework a week basically. You do have to buy a textbook to access homework but other than that it's a pretty good class and an easy one if you need a science credit.
This is an online class. The professor is straightforward and provides clear grading criteria. Every assignment and Test is from the McGraw-Hill. You have two attempts for the Tests. Overall, pretty good!
A pretty straight forwards online class. Everything is done from McGraw Hill smart books are long, but give you 2% extra credit for doing all of them, and you have 2 attempts on each unit test.
Super easy. Quizlets for everything. More than enough time to do all the exams. I automated the McGraw hill concepts in one day and then waited for the exams to release every 2 weeks. 2 attempts per exam in case you bombed the first attempt somehow. The questions with figures in them can easily be found in the textbook. TEXTBOOK MANDATORY
