great teacher, funny as well
No Comments
Fulman Rules. the best professor in the department if not the school. Great teaching, extemely fair grading, always willing to be there for his students as well. ASU's most valuable asset. more then the MU.
Great professor...he's very helpful and incredibly nice...funny little russian accent, and a completely cool guy...i definitely recomment him.
This guy is great. Very helpful with preparing for exams. Answers specific questions clearly and explains material thoroughly. Highly recommended!
Great teacher, doesnt make the students feel that he is superior. Always willing to help on his own time.
Had him for Calc 2. High class average for a good reason. Cares about the students understanding the material. The department actually criticized him for giving too many A's while I had him. He's hired by the semester, so it's always a toss-up if you can get him.
Igor is great. The most helpful teacher on campus. Want students to learn. Goes over questions on homework in class. Tests are difficult, but if you study, you'll be fine.
The most fair math teacher i have ever had. Has a cute little accent! Tests are kinda hard, but he curves them and drops lowest homeworks. If you go to class,do your hw,and study and it is an easy A. Lots of extra credit.
Fulman is a good guy, he is very detailed which is sometimes boring. He never turned anyone away when they needed help. He is a good duy and a good teacher. Pay a lot of attention take good notes. He is one of the better teachers for math.
One of the best math teachers ASU has hired in my humble opinion. Have been taking several math courses at ASU, and it's very rare, but not impossible to actually find a really good effective math teacher. I would highly highly recommend him.
great teacher, really wants his students to do well and gives you all the help you need in and out of class, hard to get used to his accent but once you do hes a great prof and i wish he taught more subjects!
i love this class.... only time i get bored is when he goes over things a million times and i get it.... but its good for whoever is asking the question. just pay attention and go to class.... accent isnt that bad.... just have to get used to it. take his class best math teacher at asu
IGOR"S MY HOMIE!!!
Igor is also my homie...that turkish foolio is the best guy on campus...he accually keeps me entertained while I am learning...it is great....plus he always crashed into chairs and requests people to turn of their cell phones when it is really his going off...which then he apologizes about for a good couple minutes...fabulous!
He is a good teacher, but can be repetitive. He knows the subject very well, but you never get out of class early. He has funny mannerisms like clapping and saying "like" and "please please" a lot. Overall, not a bad teacher, just a bad subject.
always willing to help
He is a very good teacher. He goes over everything until everyone understands it. Tests are kind of hard but he reviews alot. Just make sure you go to all the classes and youll do fine
try to get Igor for whatever math class you have to take he is awesome. He explains topics extremely well and is always thoughtful of the students who need more examples. He will delay homework if it is especially hard and he devotes a whole class to review before each exam. Anyone who rates him badly is flat out lying he is the best
Hands down to Igor. He is da man! He is so good at teaching that I think at least half a class got a B or better. His tests aren't easy if you don't go to class but if you work then you can get an easy A or at least a B. Just don't ask stupid questions if you missed class. It gets repetitive and boring. JZ
I LOVED Prof. Fulman! His class was super easy and took little work. The final grade is 1/3 homework, so if you can just get through his webwork/homework no problem. The day before exams he does a review with problems EXACTLY like the ones on the exam. He was ALWAYS very helpful asking if people had questions,he's very through.Take his class!
The esay class with a nice teacher. Take him if you need any math classes.
I couldnt understand a word he said. He spoke in monotone and nearly put he to sleep every class. The only thing I can remember is a board full of numbers and his monotone voice. Not recommended.
He is AWESOME! I am so glad I have him for Calc! He makes math seem so easy! His tests are easy if you go to class and review your notes. He's very helpful.
Igor Fulman is an awesome Calc professor. He is extremely thorough and very simple. He doesn't complicate his lectures with unnecessary and confusing information. He doesn't use the book much at all except to assign weekly homeworks and all test problems are similar to examples done in class. He is always willing to help you understand the material
I've disliked Math for years now. However, Professor Fulman's class is incredibly enjoyable. He makes the material easy; the tests are more than fair; and he is always eager to explain. On top of that, he's a light-hearted, very nice man.
Igor is the man! He is a great prof and really loves what he does. He is very lighthearted and explains very well. I def recommend him.
He is one of the best prof. that i have had. he is really helpful in office hour and he doesnt give quizzes. the exams come from the previous exams. so if u know somebody dont let that go away like that. I REALLY recommend him in math 210 and 211. also, he provides by the formula in exams and he cancel lot of sections.
the best there is for 210 and 211
Mr. Fulman is really such a good teacher that I felt obliged to write on this so that I may encourage others to take him. He's so light-hearted that during half of the class I find myself laughing at his comments, but needless to say he has an amazing grasp of how to teach a relatively difficult subject and make it seem very easy. Some effort = A!
omg HE IS THE BEST TEACHER THERE IS OUT THERE FOR MATH, i mean i considered that class to be the EASIEST out of all the rest, he was sooo soo helpful and so nice to his students, he honestly only wants everyone to do good. Even though sometimes he is a little bit hard to understand because of his accent, his class is totally worth everything!LOVEHI
I love Fulman. He is so cute. He is also a really good professor. I understood completely everything in the class, and math has never been my strong suit. I am most likely going to receive an A+ in the class and now I am taking him for winter. TAKE HIM! He is the best.
I do not like calculus and was not looking forward to it, but Mr. Fulman made it very easy to understand and actually fun (gasp!). I've heard some horror stories from friends with different teachers, so if you have to take MAT 210 or 211, want a good grade, and learn something while you're at it, take this class, you won't regret it.
He truly wants his students to do well. I feel I would have done better if I truly undertood all the webwork and went into office hours..GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. His accent is thick and have some coffee so you pay attention in class & not fall asleep. Three tests, that's it. STUDY. Ask for friend's previous tests to study..they will help for sure!
Great Teacher. Really helpful, and make everything really simple.
I can say he is the greatest teacher in the whole world. You can't find such a professor in the world except in ASU. He is nice and helpful. Take his class you will not regret.
Igor is awesome, he is one of the best professors I have had. Once you get past his accent you will be fine, and fall in love with this man.
such an easy class when you get him for your teacher. Take it in the summer if you can. His accent is AWESOME and you will get used to it after 1 class. Great teacher.
I'm not sure why everyone says he is so easy. I thought it was moderate. Studied for hours on tests and still some questions surprised me. Otherwise, he was very clear and you can tell he really cares about his students.
If you have to take the nightmare of a class that is MAT210, definitely get Fulman or bust. The material is difficult, but with someone as clear, helpful, and understanding like Prof. Fulman, you should be able to pass. This class definitely takes work, and showing up is a DEFINITE must. Going back to homework helps with tests.
he is impossible to understand and doesn't use any of the given websites for the college which makes everything confusing to get to, i.e. grades, assignments, information
I loved Igor Fulman. He is awesome and his class is a lot more reasonable than most of the 210/211 classes out there. He has an accent, but you can definitely understand him. Definitely go to class unless you absolutely can't make it.
This is the best professor at ASU's math department (which desperately needs help). He is easy to understand if you actually pay attention, he answers emails quickly and homework and tests are easy if you study and come to class. He is absolutely the best and I would recommend 210 and 211 from him. GREAT PROFESSOR
Excellent at explaining the subject. Tells you exactly the types of questions on each test. Goes over the material a few times and uses great examples. HW is mixed webwork and HW handed in. Go to class everyday and you should get an A. You get used to his accent after the first class and he says some hilarious things out of nowhere.
For such a terrible course, he makes it REALLY easy. has a cool accent and is actually pretty fun when you get used to him. His reviews are exactly what will be on the test and he barely gives any homework. Take his class if you have to take 211.
yes he has an accent but it's not that bad once you get used to it. plus, he writes every word on the board he speaks. you should get an A if you go to every class and pay attention. he teaches material straight forward and makes no treaky questions. i highly recommend him.
Go to most of the classes, do the homework and you'll be fine. Make sure you do the WebWork assignments, they are worth more than the in-text homework. He tends to go slow and repeat himself, so if you need extra help with math he's a great instructor.
Teaches very slowly, will go over any hw problems you ask him to, takes attendance every day, has a review day before every test, very little hw that comes from book and webwork, test are not multiple choice, fairly easy and grades easily, has a tiny accent but not difficult, gives good notes.
very easy class. show up and pay attention. gives two hw assignments a week, very simple. review day before test. very helpful he will answer any questions. he goes slow and makes sure you understand the material before moving on.
Unquestionably the go-to professor for MAT211. Anyone who makes fun of him is a jackass, he's simply a nice guy who's willing to help any student out. A+
Is a great teacher, very helpful and understanding. Has bit of an accent but writes everything on the board. Go to class and do the work and will be fine. Agreed I hate the ppl that do not appreciate how helpful he is.
Honestly, the best math teacher I have EVER had. Fulman makes calculus understandable. He goes over exactly what the problems are going to look like on the test. The tests aren't multiple choice, but he gives points for attempting problems even if you have the wrong answer. Online hw and in class hw due every week. Choose him!
Very simple teacher who doesn't feel the need to challenge people in a class they took by force. His tests are very simple and there are no surprises, although you do have to know just about everything covered. Still, with a little studying, this class is a breeze.
Prof Fulman is an extremely nice person. Who offers a ton of help out of class in office hours. I recommend taking a class by this prof
I had such a hard time with this class... The teacher has a very strong accent which makes it hard to understand.. he takes too much time explaining how the equation came about.. other than showing more examples.
Fulman is a great teacher and incredibly nice. He will help you every step of the way if you need it. He really knows his stuff. Definitely take him!
Amazing teacher who knows a lot about the subject. Great class for both people who want to learn and for those who just want credit.
The professor was helpful and all the examples he gave in class were used in his tests. I got an average of B's in the tests because I did not study so I would recommend taking notes and going to class, also study before exams. He knows his stuff and the homework is easy.Do your homework! He is an easy grader.
Accent is hard to undersand. is a scatterbrain, and often is not clear when giving examples, he sttuters, repeats him self, and makes mistakes often. his tests are long. He is nice and willing to help durring office hours.
Highly Recommended.
YOU CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HIM!!! DONT LET THE OTHER STUDENTS FOOL YOU THEY ARE PROBABLY USED TO HEAVY HEAVY SPEACH PROBLEMS... DO NOT. I REPEAT AGAIN DO NOT TAKE MR. IGOR
He was a good teacher, but he could have made lecture more interesting to go to. Some days only a third of the class would be present. He does give partial credit on exams and he is an easy grader.
I love his class, he's the right professor for MAT courses, his class is not complicated. To get an A, all you need to do just show up on his class and keep practicing the example that's showed in the class. I highly recommend taking his classes.
Doctor Fulmam is one of the best mathematics teacher I have ever had in my academic life. It was a great privilege for me to have him as a teacher. I feel I have learned a lot in his class and I really enjoyed it. He is a very nice person, and he is always there for you when you need help. I STRONGLY recommend Doctor Fulman. Simply the Best!
This professor was very easy, material-wise. He covered everything at a moderate rate and did 5-minute reviews before each class to say what we learned the day before. Has Russian accent and talks towards the board, so sit close and you'll understand everything. Only two exams, weekly homework, and NON CUMULATIVE FINAL!! Highly Recommend this prof!
Took Dr. Fulman's class during Summer 11. GREAT Professor. Crystal clear in his explanation of the material. Uses examples and problems from the book for homework other than that do not read the book, Dr. Fulman's explanation of the material is clearer. Far and away the best Math Professor I have had in my life.
Fulman is so nice. HOWEVER, his accent is extremely hard to understand and he talks to the black board. He rambles in circles and goes on and on about something until it's confusing! I hate to not recommend him as a person, but as a professor, he's very difficult to comprehend; tutoring is almost required even if you're good at math.
He is a nice guy with some funny comments every now and then, but he is an awful teacher. I have no clue what is going on with most of the stuff he teaches and math is supposed to be my strong subject. A tutor is more than necessary if you plan on taking him for math. He makes it very hard to do well.
Really nice, but is all over the place when it comes to teaching material. Students who have taken a calculus are always correcting him. ALWAYS lets you out late because we wants to show you a whole problem in a minute. Unless you are really good at math I would not recommend him.
Just finished taking his class. He is knows a lot. Go to class and take notes, he will review before each test as long as you ask. He talks fast and is gives lots of examples but if you have a question don't be afraid to stop him he is very helpful and will explain the problem in depth.
Pretty much my favorite math teacher so far. If you pay attention and take notes, he explains everything clearly and breaks everything down into manageable steps. The people complaining about clarity were probably the ones chatting it up all class. The only problem this teacher has is that he isn't forceful and can't control unruly students well
Great teacher! Explains all of the material with good examples. Very easy honors credit as well. Easy A if you pay attention
Have to attend every class because he takes attendance. His examples are very simple but the problems on the test are outrageous.
Took Mat394 and Mat494 with him, not because he is a good, but because him and his class is a joke and I needed the GPA boost. I spent a total of 5 hours outside of class the whole semester and missed a month of class and still pulled a A+. I have a BS in mathematics now and he is by far the least intelligent math professorial I have had.
Professor Fulman is a horrid math teacher. He goes at his own pace and rarely looks at the class - he's always facing the whiteboard. A lot of the time, he teaches material the "way he learned it in Russia" which is totally different from what is in the book. I highly advise getting a different teacher for MAT210 or MAT211. I had him for both sadly
Math is my strong point in academics, but Professor Fulman made it so difficult to learn and do well in his class for me. He's nice and all - kind of a klutz and a dim-wit - but he's a bad teacher.
Fulman is a good professor. He is very organized with his note taking which make it easy to following the material. He's is also very helpful if you take the time to meet with him and ask questions.
Dr. Fulman is a wonderful professor. He employs a very organized mathematical approach, but appreciates the mystery of problem solving. Dr. Fulman teaches with the expectation that you speak up if you're having trouble (as, he thinks, it should be). He's very committed to the subject and art of mathematics, and it shows.Take Fulman if you like math.
Mr. Fulman is a great professor. Get the ebook, its cheaper and just as good. Has a slight accent. Really great at explaining and making sure everyone understands, but he repeats a bit because of this. Do the online hw early and you get 10% extra credit. Tests are harder than homework so you really need to know what you're doing to do well on tests
Has to be the most unorganized professor. I don't think it was entirely his fault because ASU assigned him to teach the course over the summer on top of that it's his first time teaching the course. His notes and lectures were scrambled to the point where even he could not explain the concepts. I would avoid entirely
Great teacher! I had already taken Calculus in high school, so this class was a breeze. However, even if you haven't taken the course, Fulman explains concepts so well in-class that you should understand. As long as you do the homework and the webassign (he gives you 110% for doing it early), you will easily get an A+.
love his class and he's really nice. i took two courses with him and i got A+ in mat210 and B in mat211. makes math easy his tests almost like homework.so pay attention in the class and do the homework you'll get an A
I explained concepts really well and also questions on the test were really easy as he told us what to expect on the test. I would recommend him for this class if he is teaching it next semester.
Having taken Calculus before, this class was not too difficult for me. However, I saw those who had come straight out of precalc struggling to understand his material due to his tendency to talk in circles. He often would make mistakes and has awkward mannerisms. Three tests, and weekly WebAssign (online) and textbook homework.
This guy is literally horrible. Honestly save yourself by taking someone else because I'm not gonna lie, I would rather get his by a bus than have to sit through his class. He literally is awful and should find a new thing to do with his life.
Upon graduation, I have come to the realization that he was my FAVORITE professor of all time at ASU. He cares so much about his students. (keep in mind I took this class as 15 day winter course). Fulman would always go overtime during office hours to help students. Fulman is a very passionate hard worker, and it shows each and every class with him
This guy is an absolutely terrible teacher. He does not help and English obviously is not his first language so he speaks with choppy language that is almost impossible to understand. It almost seems like he doesn't want his students to pass his class. He assigns bookwork on top of webassign. If possible, avoid this professor!
I took this class online through ASU. The material wasn't too hard, but you need to be on top of all the assignments. Igor spells everything out very clearly on what you need to do. Very fair grading, very helpful when I had questions. Would usually respond to emails within a couple of hours, which is unheard of for a college professor.
EASY if you had taken Calculus in high school, if not: this is a SELF-TAUGHT class because Fulman has no idea how to teach, he will go an entire class period on ONE example and then begin another example five minutes left of class. Book assignment and online assignment given, not a difficult class: DO ONLINE HW 2 days early to receive 10 EC
Prof. Fulman is obviously a very intelligent man, however he really struggled in teaching. He often seems very scattered and talks very fast. He has quite a heavy russian accent at times and it doesn't make it easier to understand things. He also doesnt use a microphone in the lecture hall when he clearly needs it.
He's a really good teacher if you already have a background in Calc. He is honestly kind of hard to understand, he has a heavy accent but he's straight to the point and gets a lot done in a class. He assigns a lot of work from the book and web assign which you can get extra credit on if you finish it early! First time taking calc, find a new prof!
He cannot control the class. He speaks very quietly in a super thick Russian accent so you cannot understand him. When he teaches he talks to the board too so it makes him more useless. He tends to explain the useless parts of the problem. Then glosses over the super complicated parts. Don't take igor...
The class was very easy for me because I have already taken Calc, but I would have really struggled if I had no prior background. There is no fluidity in his explanations of concepts and will teach until the last second of class, even if that means starting a new lesson with one minute to go. I would not recommend if new to Calc
This class is difficult. There is a lot of material, and there are about 35 math problems a week split between book work and online. However, Fulman is very helpful in office hours! He is willing to stay overtime if you need help. He does have an accent, but after a couple days it gave me no trouble. Do the homework, go to office hours if confused!
Calculus is just a difficult subject for some people (like myself). There's a lot of things covered and tested on. Each question on the test was worth a lot of missing one question hurts you a lot.His teaching was okay, but he sometimes spends too much time on things that won't even be tested and runs out of time to focus on content that is tested.
I was new to calculus and ended up having to withdraw from the course. For a beginner, I agree that he is not the ideal professor. He spent a lot of class time going over things that weren't really on the homework or tests. However, he is a very nice man and is very helpful if you approach him! Accent makes him hard to understand sometimes.
The class is a difficult class in general. He does everything he can to help his students succeed. There's a lot of homework but without practicing it would be impossible to learn the material.
He's really nice and I liked him as a person. I don't think the class itself was hard, but it's so easy to ditch class and end up missing out. There's a lot of homework.
Heard a lot of negative comments towards him before I took the class. I liked him. He was very helpful and knew what he was doing. He got a little confused at times. He arrives right on the dot which was nice. GO TO CLASS AND DO THE HOMEWORK!!!!!!
Good teacher, helpful, class was fairly easy.
He is kind of hard to understand and always gets caught up just showing like 2 examples for the entire class time. He assigns a lot of homework, but tells you exactly what problems to review for the test. If you understand the assigned problems, you will do well on the tests and in the class.
He is extremely hard to understand and doesn't explain how to do problems well.
Igor is not as tough as people make him out to be; the class is just tough. He offers examples on every single problem that you may have to know. Go to class, take time to understand the material, and you will be just fine. Homework is relatively easy as long as you dedicate an hour or two each week to it. I liked him, and he really tries to help.
You can't understand a word he says. He NEVER makes eye contact with the students, he only looks at the board, walls, or the floor. Doesn't give half credit for anything, even problems on tests. Doesn't help you when you ask for it... If you signed up for this class I HIGHLY suggest that you drop it ASAP. Good luck, you're definitely gonna need it!
Hardest class i've ever taken in my life. I received an E for the semester. He sounds just like Gru, but you can't understand a word he says. He also never looks at the students so it's hard to hear him. He hands out a paper for attendance that you have to sign, but if you don't wanna go, just have your friend sign it for you.
He is a fast paced teacher, which is a major problem because you cannot understand a single word he says. Don't bother asking for help, it won't make a difference because you can't understand his accent. He never makes eye contact with the students, so its awkward when you go up to him and ask him question. He also doesn't give half credit.
Very thorough professor and a nice class for people who want to learn basic calculus. Fulman reviews a lot and is very understanding. He does have an accent, but definitely knows his stuff and English, even if you can tell he wasn't born and raised here. He really seems to genuinely want everyone to learn and do well.
Calculus for Life Sciences. Class was tough for me as I'm not good at math. I liked professor Fulman and enjoyed being in his course although it can be hard to understand sometimes and he moves rather quickly. He knows the material very well and if you have questions, he will definitely help. Average amount of homework and tests for a math course.
I never really enjoyed math and this class made me hate math. I couldn't understand a single thing Igor was trying to say. He also has a very hard time controlling the class. He would always explain how not to do the problem before explaining the right way. It was very frustrating because you would take notes on the wrong thing. Lots of HW!!
Extremely fast paced teacher. He will eventually get several lessons ahead of the actual homework. Random questions will be graded, meaning you can get 1315 correct, but receive a 60% because only 35 "important" ones were right. Quiz questions are heavily weighted and not in your favor (34 60%). Probably 25-30 questions a week in homework.
The semester is half way over I still have no clue what my grade is. Good luck understanding what he is saying; he has a very thick accent. Awful professor
By far the worst math teacher I've ever had.
I got a B- in this class and am 3.8 gpa student. It was also the hardest grade I've had to work for. He is nice but nothing he teaches will be on homework or exams. If you day dream for one minute you will be completely lost. Had to go to tutors 3 times a week! definitely avoid!
Ohhhh Igor. You'll spend more time laughing at his general behavior and trying to figure out what he's saying than learning. He gets some redemption for writing 90% of what he says on the board. Still doesn't make sense unless you're a calculus person. Get a study buddy and utilize books and examples on homework if you want to survive.
He is an extremely likable man, however, as someone who is horrible at math this class is a literal nightmare. His goals seem to be to speed through the content and explain as little of it as possible, his tests are insanely difficult, and the class is generally difficult. I have to teach myself because the style of teaching is ineffectve
Homework is given once a week and isn't a lot. Class is pretty boring but attendance is required. The videos post online are very helpful. Overall a pretty easy class.
Standard math teacherboring. But this man runs like clock-work. Class never runs over and always starts promptly. Homework and tests are graded with similar speed. IMPORTANT: On the booklist, it was never mentioned that there was an online option to the text book. BUY THAT. it's $50 cheaper.
I think he is pretty awesome guy, he explain things to a lay man's understanding
Professor Fulman was my favorite professor last semester. Although some didn't like his teaching methods, he was always ready to help students in office hours or via email. The material may be difficult but Prof. Fulman did his best to help his students. He is very accommodating if you need to make up work or want some extra help.
oh IGOR! your a nice guy, but not the greatest teacher getting confused in class during lectures yourself. I admire the effort
As someone who struggles with math, this professor was great. He explains how he got the answer with detail, instead of slapping the formula and answer together without explanation. His quizzes and tests are a breeze if you study. He reviews each section multiple times in class. Definitely one of the best math teachers I've had.
DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH THIS PROFESSOR! Although Fulman is a nice guy, his teaching methods are all over the place. Unless you're completely confident in the subject, I would not recommend taking his class. I have always been great in math but he made me feel completely lost. I highly suggest finding a different professor for this course!
Do not take this class. Accent very hard to understand, and lectures are random and all over the place. Learned nothing in this class, I survived through the tutoring center.
I liked Igor he was willing to help his students and curves generously so his students will pass. Not too much homework, the study guides are very helpful but the lectures are very boring and he rambles on forever about the same thing.
Igor is a great professor and makes the subject matter easy to understand. DO NOT skip class (you will fall behind + attendance taken), take thorough notes, do all the assignments, and study.. you will pass. He is generous with partial credit on exams and drops lowest hw grades. Too bad students didn't show him the respect he deserves.
Want so badly to like Igor because he seems like a gentle Russian, but his teaching was just so bad. I had Mohacsy for 210 and she was phenomenal the way that she explained the content. Igor has minor panic attacks when you ask him questions and is all over the place in lecture. Easy class, nice guy, but not a great teacher. Study book problems!
I hate to leave a bad review for any professor but c'mon Igor. Sweet guy with good intentions but lord have mercy you can not follow this guys lectures at all. Just rambles on about random topics rapidly changing what he is talking about. Having to decode the broken English he writes on the board doesn't help mush despite this not being his fault.
So far this class is hard not only because he expected us to go to a calculator workshop as a grade at 7 pm, our class is at 835am, and our final is going to be at 7pm as well. His notes are hard to understand and you will have to go back and fix the notes so they make sense because he writes them as he talks and his English writing isn't thtgud.
Oh, poor, sweet Igor. He tries so hard, you can't help but like him. Somebody please get him a drink though. That man is HIGH-STRUNG. He works up a sweat flying around the chalkboard writing down everything he says. Grading is very harsh. I got an answer right, but still got a 0 for it, because I didn't show 6th grade algebra. Probably avoid.
He has a thick Russian accent and is perpetually nervous. He does have great office hours every day though. If you have to take his class make sure to sit in the front and listen closely or you'll lose track of what he's talking about.
Igor is extremely hard to understand and easily one of the worst professors out there. Everyone I know only goes to the class for attendance and then later teaches themselves how to do the lesson. His accent makes him extremely hard to understand and he is constantly jumping from concept to concept. He also never specifies when he switches concepts
Prof Fulman is a very kind and caring prof. He's not the best at teaching math (and sometimes hard to understand) but he's always willing to help if you ask. Show up to class, take solid notes, and put a lot of time into studying for exams and you will for sure pass!
He teaches completely different than the text book. He is very hard to understand, not only because of his thick accent, but because he explains the wrong way to solve a problem along with the right way. You really have to teach yourself a majority of the material. He is known as the worst Brief Calc professor to have.
He's a smart guy, but very disorganized. Doesn't teach what the book says and makes you buy an access code that's really expensive just to do the homework. I learned a lot more going to the tutoring center than in his class. Also has a lot of homework weekly. Can tell he's really smart but not a great teacher.
Professor Fulman knows his material well, but doesn't know how to teach the material to his students in the best way. I have taken Calculus in high school, so most of the stuff he went over I already knew. If you have taken Calculus before I would recommend this class, but if you haven't you will have a hard time doing well in the class.
Igor is truly a very caring professor and wants his students to succeed. Calc is very hard- TUTORING SAVES LIVES PEOPLE. I thought the amount of HW assigned was very fair, as well as his grading on the exams (also, if you ask him a question during a quiz or exam he will help you). Super smart, just not great at explaining the material.
Igor is one of the only MAT210 teachers who assigns book homework; most teachers only do online homework and you get 5 tries for each questions. The book homework is graded on accuracy, not completion. I would have gotten an A had he not assigned all of the tedious book homework. He is also really sporadic and his lectures were very boring. Avoid!
Very hard to understand him. He has a very strong Russian accent. Very disorganized in his teachings as well. His explanations are all over the place, so it is hard to understand his notes and when things are due. A lot of homework, and he grades it for accuracy. However, he is a caring guy that wants everyone to pass and always tries to help.
The best professor I know in college!!! Really clear teaching content.
Very boring lectures, hard to understand through accent, do not take him unless you like spending your nights at the tutoring center
He does have a thick accent but you will get used to it. He always reviews lessons and I love how he talks about the mistakes students commonly make so you know not to make them. It think he is a great professor overall. I am taking the summer course, so it may be different, but I don't have much homework and he gives all the formulas for the test.
Igor is foreign, so he is a little hard to understand, but he writes everything on the board. Write everything he writes and you will be successful! He has online and in-book assignments due every week. If you complete the online 24 hr. early, it will give you extra credit which helps a lot. The final was not bad at all. Overall, not bad.
One of the best teachers that ASU has to offer. He really cares about the students and is passionate about the subject matter.
Professor Fulman is very passionate about math. Sometimes he can be a bit hard to follow in lectures, but he provides many examples of problems in class to help you on the homework. He has many opportunities for extra credit, like getting a 5% boost on an assignment turned in the day before the due date. His tests aren't too bad either.
I had a very hard time in this class. Sit close to the front because he writes small. Also he gets confused sometimes and skips around problems.
Jumps around a lot in his lessons. He likes to do things differently than the book which makes it confusing when his examples are set up differently than the book's examples and problems, considering you use the book for your homework as well as online homework. I don't get why he teaches his own style if it's different that the assignments.
Professor Fulman is a great professor. The topics are very clearly explained. If you go to class, take good notes, and think outside the box on homework, youll do totally fine in this class. Tips for success: go to class!
Fulman is the worst math teacher I've had throughout my whole education. His lessons are all over the place and his teaching is frantic. His examples are rarely like the assigned homework. My roomates and I have basically had to self teach ourselves. We have to go to tutoring all the time and sometimes the tutors don't even understand his notes
I took the one-credit version of this class where all you have to do is show up 75% of the time to pass. Most people didn't even show up that much or left after signing the attendance sheet. He shouts a lot.
There is usually one online and one book assignment every week, but they aren't very long, and they aren't graded very harshly. If you turn in the online homework early, you get extra credit, and the tests and quiz questions come straight from the homework. He does have an accent, but it's not that bad, and if you sit close to the front, it's fine!
He tries too hard to make his students understand and can sometimes be confusing. He gives way more harder problems on the homework than on the actual tests. I honestly would not recommend him because of his heavy homework assignments but you can manage. MAT 210 is hard overall not just with this professor. GO TO TUTORING CENTERS !
Igor seems like a nice guy, but he was not a good math teach for students. He's way too lecture heavy, never reviews anything, and changes all the formulas so you can "better understand" it. In reality he makes everything much more difficult then it has to be. He over communicates why you use this certain formula which ends up confusing the class.
Take the class for 1 credit- grade depends only on attendance, super easy. The more credits you take it for, the more work is required of you. All proofs, some presented to the class some turned in for homework. Tough grader, but fair.
Fulman's lectures are difficult to follow and he often makes mistakes. He had us do online homework as well as textbook homework. I got an E in the class even though I worked very hard, so I can't recommend him. Lots of hours on YouTube teaching myself the lessons.
Igor truly cares about getting his students passing grades. This class was taken over the summer and many people are on the verge of failing so he has curved the grade twice. If you are bad at math take him. He is really good at "dumbing down" the material. I put a lot of work into the class to get the grade that I got, but it can be easily done.
This course is lecture heavy and sometimes difficult to understand, he is caring and knowledgeable but tries to help you understand a concept better by showing you another way and confuses you. I did not have a problem with the class because I took calculus before. He takes attendance at the beginning of the class and the textbook is required.
Tests do not correlate to homework and lecture material well at all. Hard to understand, lectures bounce all over the place. Would not recommend.
His teaching skills are very poor but he takes attendance every class. So even though your going to be learning from the textbook and hw, you still have to waste time at class. Also, it took him 3 weeks to grade the first exam! Hard to respect a professor like this.
Took MAT 494. Fulman is an unfair grader in my opinion, so I wouldn't take this class unless you're prepared to work hard and give it your all. I had to turn in about 50 problems, which took over 100 hours of work. If you're looking for an easy class, this isn't it. He is also very rude and cuts you off at times during student presentations.
Fulman means well. His accent doesn't. Everything these reviews about him are true. His accent is hella heavy. Unless you really need that honors credit or need this class slot stay clear from here. The thing about this section is that everyone doesnt pay attention since they took Calc I already. If you haven't you will for sure fail. You welcome.
His lectures are hard to follow because he over explains and jumps around a lot. He does have an accent but can be understood. Sit close because his writing is small. Grades take forever too. He is really nice though and very flexible. However, I struggled even though I had taken calculus before, and I will most likely have to retake the class.
Fulman does mean well and he honestly is a truly caring guy. However, his lectures are often pretty boring. If you have taken Calc 1 already, it is an easy A. I can't say much about those that haven't. His accent is quite heavy but he is a fair grader. He doesn't make you simplify on tests and gives partial credit for partial work done.
Fulman was a solid teacher but speeds through the material and only teaches by doing examples (which I liked). There is both online and textbook HW so be prepared to have a lot of work. His exams are very fair and he is a super generous grader. The HW is often much harder than exams. He is pretty dry so it makes mandatory attendance really suck.
Absolutely awful. I ended up just not doing any work and failing this class because there was no way to pass. Way too much work for an online class, lecture videos were useless, and the Prof was super rude and not at all helpful when student asked questions. Not sure what the average grade ended up being but I wouldn't be surprised if it was an F.
Tried so hard to get a good grade, with the speed in which he talks and the accent combined it was awfully hard for me to understand during class. The lack of communication to students over email also infuriated me. We used this website called MoodleBridge and it is so inefficient compared to nearly any other platform. No lectures videos for online
Pretty good professor, his accent isn't really that hard to understand. Started off great - clear expectations and content. Homework is usually way harder than what is covered in class. COVID made it pretty hard to learn the material but he tried to make himself very available. Gives lots of partial credit - even on multiple-choice questions.
He was very encouraging if you didn't do as well in the beginning but you could always make it up if you have to. Good lectures, will answer questions, explains what you did wrong and gives partial credit on tests.
A really great professor who truly understands what his students are going through and really wants to make sure they succeed. All you have to do is put in the work and you'll do fine.
Phenomenal, I took him for MAT 265 and he was very good. I took him again after my previous professor ruined my grade in Calc 2 and understood far more. His tests are made so you can pass, provided you understand the material, just do your part in studying and you'll pass.
This professor is available outside of class through zoom one on one. Even during zoom lectures, he responded to everyones questions. It was a rough start, but he warned us it would be. He is caring and tells you how the course will exactly be like. 3 exams and the first one is the hardest. homework twice a week, 2-4 hours per assignment.
He's a nice guy but he's a bit jumpy and all over the place. He often makes arithmetic mistakes, despite the fact that he uses the textbook's examples, and it interferes with the flow of learning quite a bit. I found it difficult to be a student through zoom for this professor. Weight was: 50% exams (3), 25% hw/recitation, 25% final. Kind of rough.
Professor Fulman is a nice individual. That is the only nice thing I can say about him. He does not speak clearly, he is always creating and postponing homework, he is always teaching new concepts last minute, and he cannot interpret what his students are asking. He is still a very nice guy. He is just to0 confusing for me to like him a lot.
I LOVED Dr. Fulman. He was so caring and helpful and I felt that he explained the content really well. The tests are the same as the practice tests he provides, but with different numbers, so they are easy as long as you study. He is not very good with technology, so the online transition was a little rough.
Professor Fulman is a very nice guy with solid math knowledge. Technology isn't his strength, which is unfortunate with courses being pushed online due to covid. He always responds quickly to questions posted on the online forum.
Igor is really great at explaining things and you can tell he knows what he's doing as he's very knowledgable in Calc II. His accent isn't too heavy so he is still understandable. I will say that he requires both online and written homework from the textbook so that's kinda heavy. Zoom tests were easy ! He's a great guy :)
Professor Fulman is very good, I was kind of scared about the calc class since math is not my forte, however, prof. Fulman made it seem easy, explained and sometimes over explained topics so that everyone understoodit, while also always being open to questions and queries. Exams are fair and he gives decent partial credit.
If there was an award for most improved professor of the year, I would give it to Professor Fulman. There were a lot of technical issues at the beginning of the course but he quickly adapted. His lecturers could be better but I think he is making an effort to improve. He is a very nice and considerate professor. He is also a very fair grader.
Taking this class in the summer was not easy. Calc II is hard enough as it is, taking a 6-week course that is usually supposed to be 16 weeks makes it a grind. Prof. Fulman did a great job at adjusting. Tests were easier than HW. HW took forever but summer class is like that. Watch out for the TA's who grade HW tho (were harsh and unclear graders).
Class was heavily condensed due to being a 6-week summer course, so we got to skip a lot of the more difficult examples (compared to when I took Calc 2 at a different university several years ago). Homework was pretty straightforward w/ unlimited WebWork attempts and I'd say that tests corresponded to the easiest 30% of the HW problems.
Fulman is an incredibly friendly professor that is EXTREMELY lenient on grading. He essentially allows all his students to receive A's on his test through his grading policy. He is kind and understanding towards personal problems and clearly knows the material. I would strongly recommend him.
Good professor who knows what he's talking about, accent can be pretty thick, especially over Zoom. Took his class in Spring 2021 with COVID still around, but rarely went to class. Learned most of the content through lectures he has posted on Web Work from a different professor that looks like it was recorded in the early 2000's, look for those!
If you are good at math and pick it up easily and need to prioritize other classes then this teacher is okay. Otherwise, this teacher is terrible. All of his lessons are muddled and asking questions is impossible because he doesn't turn around. The HW is repetitive with both online and book work. If you do take this teacher, go to all the lectures
Calc III is a pretty challenging class, but I feel like Fulman is a solid professor to take it with. There are only 3 tests besides the final, and 25% of your grade is easy points from hw. HOWEVER, this man is a pretty bad lecturer, so if thats important to you, stay clear. His tests are reasonable and he is generous with partial credit.
He's really nice, but the lectures aren't the best. If you're good at math and good at self studying, you'll do great. He posts all the lectures online, so you don't have to come to class. The tests match the examples and are fairly easy if you understand the concepts. Extra credit for doing online homework 24 hours early and generous grading.
I mean to be honest I didn't pay much attention in this class and still passed meaning that if you where to pay attention and do the homework you should get an easy A, he hard to understand but if you go to his office and ask him a question he will be way better at explaining the materials.
He teaches a lot of shortcuts on the calculator that makes life so much easier on exams and homework. He gives partial credit on exams and will help on the homework if you ask. People complain about his accent, but I didn't think it was too heavy. He knows the material and uses lots of examples in lectures to help students understand the material.
Lectures are quite crazy. Very scatterbrained in my opinion. I find it easier to learn from the textbook or by watching videos for this course. Tests are easy, and he even gives partial credit on multiple choice as long as you show your work. Overall a decent professor. He is willing to help and definitely knows his stuff.
Hes fair and a nice guy, he honestly just cares about the class and the subject. As long as you go to class, pay attention and do the homework youll get an A. There are a couple exams a semester.
Prof. Fulman spent too much time at the beginning of the semester that he ran out of time to teach all the material. He taught two chapters of material within a month of the final, and the last sections are the hardest. The lectures are very difficult to follow, and it would be easier to learn from the textbook. We needed the textbook for homework.
Although this was a summer course and this was his first MAT342 class, prof.Fulman managed the schedule perfectly. Prof.Fulman's explanation let me understand the concepts without any serious crisis challenging. Calculators(with matrix features) were required for the exams. Of course, he lectured everything about the manual of the calculators.
I really felt like this professor cared about his class, his lectures were very detailed and in depth. I relied heavily upon the book but he derived so much material directly from it that it worked out for me. I just remeber how good he was about taking questions and giving in-depth like 5 minute answers to them.
A little disorganized, but nice. Has an accent - not hard to understand. Exams are not cumulative & weighted 25% each. 10% extra credit offered on each Webassign HW - 1 online WebAssign that u must purchase access to, 1 paper hw submitted online per week. Exams are very easy if u do the practice & watch the videos, so STUDY! Attendance not required
Fulman is great at explaining the material and if you are willing to put in the effort the class is easy. The only problem I have with the course is that the tests are each weighted 25% for a total of 75% of your grade, the other 25% being made up of homework. If you aren't a good test taker I would take another prof but Fulman is a good choice.
igor is an interesting guy. overall, the material is pretty easy (w the exception of the first part of the course). however, he is not the best lecturer, as theyre tedious and do not present the material well. you are better off doing the weekly homework and studying off of that. 3 tests worth 75% of the grade so be a good test taker
Dr. Fulman is a very nice and caring person. His lectures are great, but this a complicated class and so much time needs to be dedicated. I did not like that he held the 2nd exam a week earlier than planned for no good reason; and the 25% for homework/recitations/quizzes had too little weight for all that work. You must do good on all three exams.
I was not impressed. Absolutely ridiculous amount of homework that other MAT 211 students with other professors aren't required to do. Class was streamed on Zoom, which was nice. Fulman is terrible at explaining math though. You would get much farther watching Prof. Abramson's videos than attending class even though attendance is mandatory.
Fulman is very thorough when teaching multivariable calculus. He ties every new concept to previous concepts and reviews old material before getting into new material, which was really helpful. We did end up rushing the material at the end of the semester, though--he taught them the class before we had our final exam on those concepts.
These are some inspirational quotes from Dr. Fulman. He made Calc 3 funny. - A.R. "SUDDENLY IT BECOMES VERY SIMPLE" "REMINDER" "NEW NOTION" "YOU WILL DO MORE EXAMPLES LIKE THIS IN YOUR RECITATION" "SIMILAR BUT MORE COMPLICATED..." "IDEA" "BUT WHAT IS THAT?" "OKEY I AM OUT OF TIME I WILL STOP THANK U FOR UR ATTENTION!" testing123 *piano*
Fulman is a nice guy and is ok when you talk to him one-on-one. However, his lectures are confusing and he doesn't do a great job explaining concepts. He'll waste time on one small concept and then rush through the rest. He also assigns problems that he never went over in class, nor taught us. You will need to teach yourself almost everything.
Professor Fulman is very tough to understand. His lectures are all over the place and he has an extremely thick accent. Every week we have webwork and textbook homework due. His review guides are useless to prepare for the test. The best thing about him is that he gives partial credit on the multiple choice part of exams if you show work.
Lectures are a bit hard to understand with his accent but he does well at explaining concepts. Homework takes a while but is only on a weekly basis. Tests aren't curved but he gives partial credit and they're very similar to questions on homework/textbook. Sometimes lectures will be a bit of a mess but he knows the material very well.
Most of the problems I have with this class stem from the math department as a whole at ASU. If you bomb one midterm, you can't recover. No formulas on the exams, and no exams are dropped. These are common across ASU math classes. Fulman was a fair grader and knew the content well. He gives partial credit on multiple choice questions on exams.
This class is very test heavy and the final exam can make or break your grade. Without tutoring it is very difficult to pass this class. Go to class and do the homework.
Teaching style was slow and very unorganized making it difficult to pay attention and learn what he was teaching.
Fulman's lectures can be hard to understand at times and he's a little all over the place so you'll be teaching yourself quite a bit. BUT he gives formulas on the exams that are mostly multiple choice WITH partial credit, he grades very fairly and I would recommend him over the other professors I've taken for calc 1 & 2.
This class was all over the place. The homework was a few chapters behind the lectures and things were rushed to stay on schedule because we were behind. It can be hard to understand what he is talking about and there is lots of online homework + recitation.
Extremely lenient grader, gives plenty marks for the process even if the answer is wrong. Teaching may have inconsistent pacing but the recitation fills up this gap. Prof. Fulman is an incredibly caring person, approaching students as humans first. Always accessible and polite to resolve queries and seek guidance for Math.
This was the worst class I have taken so far. The materials are unclear because the professor doesn't know how to deliver the information. Also, the grading was clear but not fair, you have 3 tests with 50%, the Final with 25%, and 5% for webwork(which sometimes covers material we didn't study), written homework, quizzes, proof quiz practice exams!
The lectures and textbook are good, but I highly recommend using Math Overflow and YouTube to develop a geometric intuition of linear transformations, vector projections, and how matrices correspond to these so you know what you are doing. He is quite generous with partial credit. The labs are moderately easy; having a CS background helps a lot.
Lecture-heavy, but every lecture is straightforward and easy enough to follow. Quizzes and exams are graded very leniently on partial credit---if you show your work, you'll at least get some credit for it. However, the homework assignments have lots of problems outside of the lectures, so you'll need to read the textbook and/or use a lot of google.
Super interesting guy, and an amazing Math professor. Gives every formula for exams, so you don't need to memorize anything. Also gives generous amounts of partial credit on all assignments. Favorite quote: "Now this really is mostly for engineers, but we still have to learn it because you are supposed to be smarter than the engineering students".
Great math prof ever!! Become my favorite prof in ASU. I took MAT 243 and 343 with him. Pick him as your professor if you want to build a solid foundation for your future study. Tests are not super hard if you do study for them.
his lectures could get a little confusing, but before exams he always specifically says what will be on it, which makes it easy to study. he does give a lot of homework though
Fulman was awesome for 342. Linear algebra is hard, but he is great at explaining all theory in detail and providing examples. Homework can be a bit tedious but seriously helps you on the tests, which were usually exactly like problems we would do during lecture. Tests are pretty heavily weighted, but studying using the past homework helps a lot.
Nice guy! Clear lectures with lots of resources on the class website - attendance is graded though. Tests were very fair and he communicated what would be tested on ahead of time. Definitely recommend, this was a much better experience for me than calc II.
I did not enjoy the lectures, as he didn't explain concepts well at all, at least in my opinion. You will have to study a lottttt outside class. No intuitive explanations. However, loads of partial credit on tests, and really fair tests. Lots of homework, but it really helped understand the concepts. Use Khan Ac and Trefor Bazett as resources!
I could see some people struggling with this professor but I thought he was great. He has a more old-school style of teaching, using lots of examples from the textbooks. He writes everything that he is thinking/saying on the whiteboard, some may think he can be repetitive but I think it shows just how much he actually knows
Professor Fulman is a pretty good math instructor. His lectures can be a bit hard to follow at times, but he gives generous partial credit on exams and the homework really helps solidify the concepts. unstuckstudy AI was a lifesaver for exam prep!
............
Overall Good calculus 1 teacher. While he does go deep into the why and I wished that overall in class he would do a few more examples of how to use the equation or process on the board; he does a great job of explaining why we use it and what it does just be prepared to do practice problems at home.
Professor Fulman is clearly good at what he does, however he is very bad at teaching it. He focuses mainly on examples which is good, but he does not explain what to do or why in most cases. I constantly find myself having to look elsewhere for how to do problems because he does not explain the steps clearly. Also takes ages to grade exams.
Fulman was a well-rounded professor. At first, I thought Fulman was the worst professor ever, but I was just a bad student. You'll be fine if you put in the effort and study for exams. There is a fair amount of homework for every section, one online and one on paper. Also, you have to pay $35 to be able to do your online homework :/. Heavy accent!
Lectures are difficult to follow, he just writes the most complicated way to solve a problem on the board and talks himself through it while you listen and try and see the board around him. One written assignment and one online assignment a week. Partial credit is given on exam questions.
He knows what he is teaching, very generous with partial credit on tests. I got a bad grade because I didnt pay attention. Tests are a large portion of your grade, but he makes it achievable. also accommodating and willing to works things out with you, he let me join his class a month late
My only gripe with Professor Fulman was the lack of diverse examples/problems worked through in lectures. I often came across content in homework and on study guides that we did not cover in class. Other than that, Fulman is incredibly understanding and EXTREMELY lenient with grading/partial credit. A very easy-going teacher for MAT265.
He is an amazing teacher. He cares and he explains clearly. He's also very understanding if you miss a test or quiz. Just be nice to him, do the homework. His homework is much harder than his tests. Tests are multiple choice and free response. If you put some effort in you will be fine. I strongly recommend him.
One of the better math profs. I have heard horror stories about how bad some profs are, Igor is a decent one. His lectures are very helpful and he is generous with the partial credit on exams. The only bad thing is that the HW is pretty unrelated to what is taught. Focus on using study guides. Honestly could have done better if I applied myself.
Professor Fulman uses class time effectively. The lectures are concise and the structure is consistent. He draws good 3D graphs to explain the concepts and their visual interpretation. He also teaches proofs, so I would recommend this professor to any math majors. He can be a bit all over the place and makes mistakes, but he still teaches well.
Professor Fulman is not a great lecturer. He is all over the place is class, and frequently has to go back to a previous place to correct a mistake. He teaches proofs in class that are not on exams, and will spend a lot of time during class on these. He also offers generous extra credit on homework and partial credit for MCQs on exams.
He looked over my mathematics solutions and gave great feedback! He is really motivated! I hope he teaches the problem solving seminar again!
Good professor. Can be very disorganized. The class itself is difficult and Fulman does not help too much with that. His lectures can be very boring and hard to learn from. It is very fast paced and sometimes he rambles on to topics even though not every student understands. Go to him outside of class, it helps.
Do not take Professor Fulman for Discrete Math if you can avoid it. While he's a fine enough person, he is unable to meaningfully help you if you do not understand something, and frequently makes mistakes and gets sidetracked during class. While he grades homework harshly, his exams and quizzes are generally pretty easy.
Professor Fulman is one of the best teachers I have met. He makes full use of class time to teach, and his board work is exceptionally clear. His exams allow partial credit, so there's no need to worry too much about the final answer. I often go to his OH, and I always come away with valuable insights. I have made significant progress in his class.
I think most people dont like his class cuz it's math. He's a good teacher and gives recaps of all his lessons which is helpful for those who need repetition. He is very willing to grant extentions and partial credit if you just ask. Tests were on paper but a large section of multiple choice on everything. not my favorite class but ok anyways.
Currently sitting at an A-. Lectures are focused on theory/conceptual, questions in the recitation are not going to be on the exam. Written homework is overkill in my opinion. Very funny guy and fair exams with extremely lenient grading. Take him
Great professor. Although he often showed up to his office hours quite late, he always lets you make-up missed quizzes and exams. Says attendance is mandatory but there's no penalty for missing class. Weekly homework with online and written portions (extra credit offered). The only valid complaint is some might find his accent hard to understand.
Honestly really lenient with grading and just a hilarious guy.
Good professor. Gave extra credit, was able to be reached and gave fair accommodations when needed. The only downside was lectures were not the greatest would be rushed , more of a course issue with class scheduling than his own issue. Overall very good, exam review sessions are very good.
A lot of people had trouble with this professor. I personally did not. His explanation was a little unclear, but he was open to explaining anything I missed after class and during his office hours. Don't bother raising your hand in class because he won't see you. He's a little bit of a yeller so guard your eardrums and sit a couple of tables back.
Let's u attend class over Zoom, and while his conversational English is not the best, his lectures are pretty solid. He also didn't give that much hw and was very fair with partial credit on exams. He was also the only prof I know of that allows a calculator on the first 343 exam, so that is a plus.
If you want to take 265, he could be an easy pick. There are 5 exams in total - 3 midterm, 1 Mastery , 1 Final. So on the midterms there will be 9-10 MCQs and 3-4 Free response questions. He will even give you partial credit even if you show work for the MCQs that's why he is the goat. Generous graders, can make up for missed exams.
