Dr. H is very nice and willing to help, but she's also kind of annoying. You can barely understand what she's saying because of her thick accent. Her class is not tough, but you will need to read the book to get what she's trying to say.
very good
Mama H is really nice but she can get annoying. Her class isnt very exciting and her assignments are a lot of busy-work...
Mama H is an awesome person, and a pretty good professor. She can be hard to understand becasue of her accent, but her humor and always happy attitude makes a boring someject somewhat interesting. Tests are hard, but she gives study guides which are VERY helpful. She does attendance, so you have to go to class. Gives alot of Bonus!!!
nice person but she cannot teach!
Dr.H is a great teacher, well organized and easy to talk to. I know that she loves teaching.
Dr. Handayani is very knowledgeable and makes Soil Science interesting and understandable. She is VERY concerned that her students learn. She is patient, enthusiastic and respectful.
This was a research class, so there was no class meeting. Dr. Handayani guided the research and provided all the literature (or links to it) that I needed for the research and the paper. She is consistently interested, enthusiastic and very helpful. She always makes time to help.
This was a self-directed research class. Dr. H. provided all the literature and direction I needed to conduct the research and to write the final paper. She is always helpful and excited about research results even when they don't seem to be good results. She always maintains a positive, helpful, respectful attitude.
This is a Thesis class, so no textbook or class meetings. Dr. Handayani kept me focused on getting my thesis research completed and my thesis written. She has a good reason for everything she asked me to do on my thesis, even though I was frustrated at times. See AGR 699 for balance of rating....
Dr. H considers us as a team and has pushed my thesis to perfection to make it easier to complete my oral defense in front of the rest of the master's committee. while it is frustrating to receive many revisions, it PAYS OFF TO FOLLOW HER INSTRUCTION! SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT! She is a wonderful mentor!
Dr. H is fun to work with as well as learn from. She relates information to the real world with examples from her career and from living abroad which helps students to uderstand the subject material. If you do not understand something she is very eager to help. She really does care, and expects you to do your best and learn.
She is a great teacher and is always willing to help students if they have a problem in the class. She expects you to go the extra mile and if you don't wellshe will not be as helpful. Uses real world examples which makes the material easier to understand.
Dr. Handayani is a teacher I will not soon forget. She truly wants you to learn the material and thrives on seeing you do well. Willing to help with any problem you have, in class and out of class. She is the kind of teacher that produces students who go on to solve world hunger and such!
Best teacher I have ever had. She is extremely funny and applies real world situations to the material, which for me makes me that much more motivated to change how agriculture is looked at and applied in the modern world.
Group discussion type of class. Was fantastic; one of my favorite classes I have had at MSU. Truly passionate about what she teaches and truly hopes her "babies" go on to change the world.
Dr. H is a wonderful professor. Her perspectives toward soil management/Ag are amazing.I enjoyed listening her international experiences.
GREAT TEACHER. Very organized and easy to talk to.
Dr. H, thank you for being so helpful. You are my favorite professor. You care about my learning process. You made this Soil Science class so interesting to me. Hope to take other classes with you.
Momma H is amazing. She's incredibly invested in her students' success and will do what she can to help you succeed. Buy the book and use it to supplement lectures: they're long and can drag but the PowerPoints are posted. She loves her students! Class is not easy and it's hard for her to teach some material. Participate to compensate!!!
I am an exchanged student, but the class is so awesome that I knew many things. I learned academic knowledge(concept of soil science, experimental skills, and attending an academic conference and poster competition) and America culture (living style and making friends with many Americans) Dr. H also is a nice professor and always encourages me.
Good class overall
++++++
Test questions come out of the book, not the lectures. The lectures are completely pointless wastes of time. You can gain a few bonus points from participation. But if you just study the lectures, ppt slides, and notes, you will fail the tests. Read the chapters!
Dr. H is pretty bad about picking favorites, but she is a sucker for class participation. Even if you are wrong, just answer confidently and you'll probably get enough extra credit at the end of the year to get an A. Show up to class & if you can't, don't wait til last minute to inform her. She will work with you on missed assignments if needed.
So fed up with this class. Boring as heck, doesn't explain things, can barely understand her. She's nice but does not teach well.
If you can understand what she is saying through the rolling R's and disorganization you'll quickly learn nothing from her lectures which are rambling conversations at best.
Ok, so Dr. H doesn't communicate very well. You will struggle if you have her online class. She doesn't give examples or explain anything. You teach yourself the material through videos. She posts 3-4 assignments weekly. It's a bunch of busy work which is too much like high school. I'd have to pass on her if I could. but unfortunately I can't.
Dr. H cares more than any other professor Ive ever had. The course was difficult, but there was enough work and extra credit to bring your grade up. Tough attendance policy, but her lectures are interesting and funny.
Amazing professor! Be prepared to study and learn!
She gets off on weird tangents sometimes, but is knowledgeable about her field of study. The course isnt super organized, so you have to just roll with it. Definitely recommend taking her online section
While Dr. Handayani is the sweetest person, she is not always the most clear lecturer. I think language and cultural barriers result in lack of clear communication. Dr. H is seriously smart but almost too smart to teach a 300-level course. She is very generous with extra credit and really cares about her students.
Dr.H is awesome, but you will need to show up to class because attendance is graded. She gives PLENTY of opportunities for participation grades and extra credit, so as long as you show up and try your grade will be good!
Very hard to understand without being a souls major
Its obvious she cares about her students! Just show up, do the work, and the bonus at the end of the semester. If you do this, youll do fine!!
Great teacher, learned a lot and became a better student
She covers lots of content throughout the semester but its never anything too complicated. Lots of hands on experience also.
Shes a great professor! Her test can be difficult but she does provide plenty of easy homework assignments that make you understand the subject aand will boost your grade! The pop quizzes didnt really hurt my grade. She will work with you if you do have a bad test grade!
Participate and study
Very enthusiastic and knows the material very well. Also cares alot about her students but communication with students could be better
This class many things about the soil. The tests are challenging but she does offer extra credit.
Get to know her and she will be very helpful! She is such a sweet lady and truly wants her students to do good but she makes you work for it! You will learn a lot in this class.
Dr. H is very passionate about what she teaches and knows what she is talking about, with that being said she has a hard time getting what she knows to you. Beware of pop quizzes and the questions she asks do not match what she teaches. She is a great person, not the best teacher. Super funny! Participate in class apparently that matters!
Even when you have a full class of lecture with her, she teachers for maybe half of the time. She really likes talking to the students and she likes to give extra credit. She's a really laid back professor.
Dr. H is such a sweet lady and she never fails to make me laugh, however she is a bit scatter brained. The class structure isnt organized in the best way, but when she does lecture there is always good information to learn. Be patient and ask questions if you dont know the answer because she is always willing to help.
Really passionate teacher, cares about her students and gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. However, tests are hard compared to the rest of the class content. Easy to get a hold of and work with. Attend class if you want a good grade.
Very skilled teacher in soils
An absolutely wonderful teacher. One of the friendliest and most character-filled professors I've ever had. I had 3 finals on the same day, and she let me take the final the day before with the other section for the same class. A little vague on instructions sometimes, but always available for clarity. Have to read a lot. Need to be in class a lot
Best professor Ive had. She inspired me to love soil and respect it
Extra credit is offered so take advantage!
Amazing! Love her to death!
Dr. H is a great professor who cares about her students. She may be hard to understand at times but she will help you with whatever you need! It is a hard class, shes not easy by any means. Be ready to participate and you will get a lot out of the class.
Class is not structured by just note taking. Expect lots of participation and short article review presentations in front of the class at least biweekly. Generally have a large project accompanied by a final. From the Philippines but very easy to understand.
Sweet woman but all over the place the class is kinda pointless.
Dr. H is crazy but if you give effort she will give you an A.
Very caring and genuine about her students. Will do anything to explain information more or help outside of class.
A great professor for soil science
Dr. H really tries to show enthusiasm for her soil classes. Just wish we went to the field more often to help concrete the material we learn.
She honestly enjoys the material that she instructs.
She was great at giving us opportunities on extra credit. She pushed us to keep doing our work and to stay active in class.
Great teacher for all soils classes
If you give an effort she will give you an A. Very helpful and wants you to do well.
There are pop quizzes and assignments based on reading assignments. She is really nice and caring. She is more than willing to work with you to improve your grade and move due dates. There are extra credit opportunities. There are a few projects that are a lot of work but definitely do able. Tests are hard even if you read the chapters.
Dr. H is very nice and has her student's best interest at heart, as she will give more time to assignments if needed. Her instructions are sometimes hard to understand, but she helps a lot after class. Expect a lot of participation but take advantage of extra credit.
The course content is good content but the class as a whole was very unorganized and there was much confusion among the students regarding many assignments and the project
I really liked her class.
Class material was good. The class itself was harder trying to get in sync with professor on material.
not a lot of assignments but very important to do well on them
Course involves, individual case studies, research on agriculture and follow society's role on environmental practices. This class takes a large amount of time to work on the materiel correctly.
Very good class, with hands on learning, important not to get bogged down and behind on reading.
This teacher will make you work for your grade, but is always available for help when you ask. She will go out of her way to make sure you pass this class if you ask for help.
She is a wonderful person, but her class is very unorganized and she does not give grades but for a few things. Grades are not clear. Tests are hard because the content is somewhat from the book and somewhat from her powerpoints.
Dr. H is super caring and wants to help the students. If you have any questions she will do her best to answer them.
Dr. H is a wonderful professor! Her reading assignments and lectures are different but as long as you do the extra credit oppportunities and study for the exams youll do great! Be aware of random quizzes in class.
AGR 345-02 A. Corn
Hard to understand, but gives bonus, not super hard
This teacher is kinda hard to understand sometimes but really cares about her students
Very caring of her students and passionate in her teaching
Pop Quizzes happen a lot but its usually bonus points!
Dr. Handayani has the best explanations for concepts in class. She makes class very entertaining and expresses interest in her students success.
She has great enthusiasm and you can really tell that she cares about the students not just the course. I would definitely take one of her courses again.
Love this class! Shes so cute!
She was very nice and caring. We read a lot and usually had homework or a quiz.
Understanding
Took this class as a requirement for my major, ended up being one of my favorites so far in college. A lot of the material she teaches can be difficult to understand, but she relates it very well on a level all the students can relate to. Gives out extra credit for perfect attendance too.
The class is tough, but if you put in effort and study then you should be able to pass with a decent grade.
Just be attentive and ask for help when you need it! Shes human and she understands you are too, so just keep an open line of communication with her! I really enjoyed her class, but the content is broad. You cant bull crap your way through this class! Youre going to have to put the time in but the extra credit at the end makes it worth it!
Good Teacher, some things get lost in power points/lectures
This class was difficult but well worth it! She teaches a ton of information but she offers plenty of assignments to boost your grade and offers help all semester long.
Dr. H is very informational in the research side of agronomy and is a good mentor if you are looking to get into research.
Dr. H is such a caring and sweet person. She would help with anything. However, the class is difficult. With lots studying and effort, a good grade can be expected.
Extremely difficult to understand. Almost unintelligible at times, poor grammar too. (even on things she types like tests) She has very high expectations, her lab class is horrible its a 1 hour class and I put more effort into it than all my other classes. She is very caring and genuine though, gives lots of bonus at the end. Id try to avoid her.
Dr. H is very knowledgable in her field of study, though she often gets distracted in class and is easily taken off subject. For an intro course she does not do a good job of explaining subjects many of us do not yet know. She is overly particular in assignments and will deduct points on the most venial assignments. She also gives verbal quizzes
If you go through a pandemic youll have to choose between life or her work load. I Spent everyday doing work for her she required us to write 2 page summarys over book chapter every week on top of activities with very little time to do it. Shes a good woman but expectations is out the roof .
Dr. H cares for her students more than any professor I have ever seen and passionate about her job. She is always so happy and it reflects in her classroom. She creates a learning environment by allowing her students to collaborate. If you reach out to her she is ecstatic to mentor you through your college career. I highly recommend Dr. H.
Dr. H is one of my favorite teachers because she genuinely cares about her students and will go out of her way to talk to students that she has relationships with outside of class. If you take the lab make sure you go out of your way to be there and help out and you will be rewarded. If you struggle with a test, tell her, work through it together.
Dr. H teaches based on her favorite topics unless the class gives feedback on subjects that they are interested in. She is easy to reach outside of class and will help you know what you need to work on. Occasionally, she can be persuaded to allow teams on quizzes and tests but the class needs to speak up and ask (and she can tell when it is needed)
Good teacher, cares about students learning. She has a lot of knowledge and works very hard trying to pass that on to her students!
Dr. H is a great professor. She has a passion for soil science and it shows. Her class is not easy, and she makes you work for it, but you learn a lot from her class that is needed for work in agriculture. She makes herself available to help anytime you need it and truly wants you to learn.
Dr. H is one of the sweetest and bubbly teachers you will ever have. She makes coming to class and being here enjoyable. The content was a little difficult for me to learn but she was very helpful and understanding! There is a lot of material and some of it is a little difficult but she was always willing to help when we reached out to her.
Dr. H, is a very sweet and caring professor. Her lectures can be a little confusing and she gets off topic occasionally. The lecture notes are really helpful. Use the book, she refers to it a lot!! The exams are confusing, but for my class she let us retake it with a cheat sheet, idk if shell let future classes. I would say take with caution
Dr. H is a very bubbly and caring person, and it one of the sweetest professors I have had so far at Murray State. At times it is challenging, as there is a lot of material covered, but as long as you do the assignments and participate in class then youll be fine. She genuinely cares about her students and she makes that clear.
She is an amazing professor. Her test are harder and you need to make sure you study the notes, read chapters and look over quizzes.
She is a great profesor with tons of knowledge! Being very interesting to listen to, I would definitely take another class with her. You get what you put into this class. Only thing I think she would need to improve is her organization.
Dr. Lin Handayani is a very good professor in my opinion. I feel like I actually learned lots in this class that is valuable in real life. I found this specific class was not only interesting, but also enjoyable because Dr. H is always happy and has a positive mindset. I would take more classes with her!
Very positive everyday. Classroom layout due to covid was stressful but i feel if it was the usual then there would be no problems. You definitly have to read the txtbook and she gives small extra credit oprotunities for stundents in class.
She is a very nice person and cares about her students but her lectures are hard to follow and her tests are even harder if you fall a little behind.
She will brighten your day
Only teacher that teaches soil classes required. So have no choice but to take the classes. Classes arent bad just many same topics previously taught. Easy to get a B but have to pay attention.
Dr.H has some challenging quizzes and test but she cares about her students and overall is a good class.
Dr H is a great teacher who makes herself available for help and cares for her students. Her class is not easy but you learn a lot and it is all applicable to future agriculturalists.
Dr. Handayani is a very lively professor. She is passionate about Soil Science in ALL courses she teaches. I wish this class was more focused on environment instead of soil. She makes students create our questions for assignments, so it is hard to know what will be on tests and quizzes. Study hard and you will pass!
She really cares about her students! She is willing to help and go the extra mile!
Honestly this woman is an icon! Dr. H was excited to teach about her field and to make sure we were all accommodated during pandemic classes. Everyday she had a positive attitude and was honestly just such a good energy to be around. 10/10 will be back for soil labs
Dr. H is a great professor. She is very knowledgeable. The class itself requires a fair amount of reading of the book and has busy work involved. Overall if you put in the time you should be able to get a decent grade.
Test heavy. I have a high C and still have a final to do. There isnt much extra credit. She is very caring and will work with students if the situation calls for it. Test are hard.
Very nice lady, and helps you out in class.
Dr. H has a really great personality and the topics discussed in class are applicable. You definitely have to study and attend class to be able to pass. Reading the information in the book will be helpful for quizzes. Make sure to ask questions in class and participate as much as possible.
She caring person and sweet person. Very fun teacher and sweet .
I see on here how great of a professor Dr. H is however, I would not recommend taking an online course with her. A lot of her assignments are confusing and aren't very clear. Also, her assignments and grading contradict each other which makes it quite frustrating when you think you do the assignment right but somehow you don't.
It isnt a bad class, it is just a little unorganized. Make sure you stay on top of assignments that arent outlined in the syllabus. She is very understanding if you meet with her outside of class and that is honestly when I learned best from her.
Dr. H works to help everyone out and is willing to answer questions. This class does require work; however, if you try at everything you do you will do good. She takes attendance during class and also gives out extra points if you answer questions and participate during lectures. Exams do take time to study for.
Dr. H is an amazing professor and cares for her students. She will do anything to make sure you are learning and enjoying the class. The student has to have responsibilities during her classes, but as long as they do their work and try, they will do just fine in her courses.
Solid professor, hard class but doable.
Dr. H is a great professor to take. She cares about her students and genuinely wants to know you. She will remember your name, where you are from, and anything about you. She wants to see you succeed, but will not accept poor participation or quality of work. She holds her students to a high standard, which I appreciate as a student. PARTICIPATE!
Dr. H is a genius and it shows, but there seems to be a huge language barrier. I feel like she truly loves her students, but she can't communicate well with them. We have huge assignments worth very few points and it's nearly impossible to study for her tests. She covers the same topics in all her classes as well. I would avoid her if you can.
As last reviews have stated, it is easy to see that Dr. H cares about her students. Unfortunately, this does not make a good teacher. The language barrier is almost impossible to overcome and her lectures are near pointless. Instead of teaching topics that she will soon have an exam over, she will often compare soil and our emotions. Avoid.
just show up to class
Cares about her students
Great professor, tons of stories!!
so caring about students! fun assignments!
She is funny and cares about her students success. Great professor.
She is amazing but sometimes the lectures are all over the place and it can be hard to understand what is going on.
Dr. Handayani is a very caring professor, be sure and talk and participate in class! She will make sure you get the grade you deserve!
Study for exams and you will be fine
This professor is very funny, her lectures are very fair.
Dr. H is super super sweet but she is kinda hard to understand and is not always very clear in what she is asking. But if you go and talk to her she will help you in anyway possible!
Will give a large workload so it involves time consuming homework. Read chapters ahead of time to keep up. Wants you to interact in class; hopefully you don't have social anxiety.
Dr. Handayani is a fun professor. Soil science is a hard class, but there are lots of extra credit and participation opportunities. Read The book.
Dr. H is a very high energy person, and she is always excited and ready to teach!
This professor is very passionate about what she teaches.
She absolutely loves her students! She is passionate about her work, but you HAVE to be here in order to keep up. Quizzes are difficult and so are exams. A little unorganized but you will learn a lot.
Very caring, cares a ,lot for her students. Do the work and take the extra credit opportunities. She loves class involvement but the exams are quite difficult. She is always open to help, but sometimes instructions are unclear. She is passionate about what she does and wants students to succeed.
No clear instructions on any assignments.
Dr. H was a dream of a teacher to have.
Very enthusiastic but gets sidetracked easily. Participation is highly valued.
Homework every week but it's easy. Pay attention in class the questions that she asks because they are mostly on the test. Take advantage of all of the extra credit and go above and beyond for the projects.
By far the worst professor I've had throughout my college career. Doesn't actually teach you anything. Expects you to read the book and just understand. Creates random assignments in class and won't explain them to you if you miss (even if it's an excused absence!) Assigning busy work and going on random tangents is basically all she does. Horrible
Avoid her at all costs. Take classes that transfer from other schools if you have to. She gives out assignments every week that don't help at all. Her exams are hard and unclear. Listening to her in class is hard and most of what she says makes no sense. She tells random stories that don't have anything to do with her class. She doesn't teach.
Dr H needs to learn how to teach online. This class is nothing but reading a textbook and summarizing, watching YouTube videos of other instructors at other universities and summarizing, taking tests that are totally impossible to pass because there is no test prep or review so unless you can memorize multiple chapters of a textbook good luck.
Don't take this professor if you're not ready for 10 hours of homework every week. This course made me cry every week due to the countless hours of homework and videos you must watch.
Incompetent, unclear feedback. Do not take unless absolutely necessary. Not bad person just not good professor.
I enjoy this class. You get to go outside and get hands on experience which I love to do. There is a lot of assignments the class but that helps each grade not to be so weighted.
This is a good class to take if you really want to learn. You have to do the assignments for a good grade but she is a nice teacher who will help you if you ask.
Knowledgeable professor with lots of experience in soil management. There are a few field trips to take soil samples. Class will read textbook and do weekly homework.
Dr. H is great! Sometimes the class was a bit challenging but overall I learned a lot!
Very unconventional teaching style that does not really help you learn in your future career. Most of the topics talked about in this class were covered in a much better way in others.
Great class
Great teacher, wants you to learn so be open to new things and ways of teaching
Dr. H is a great speaker and very knowledgeable, the subject is more difficult. She is very open to helping and making you understand the material well.
Overall it was a good class to take. You just have to make sure you study. Although it says lots of homework it is actually easy to complete.
She is an amazing professor, there is a lot of reading and and homework. Test can be confusing.
Dr. H is a energetic, kind, and courteous professor. Make sure to pay attention in lectures, take sufficient notes, and attend class unless you are unable to for some reason.
She is a good professor. She is a good teacher and always helps you when you need help.
Heavy use of the course textbook, especially for weekly chapter assignments. Professor provides hands-on and visual lecture styles for many chapters/units, which is nice if that is your preferred learning style. While I found the course slightly difficult, professor's lecture styles made it easier to learn.
Love her, she's so amazing and kind. I would die for this woman. Slayyy. She is my favorite professor. Do be warned, if your phone goes off she'll make you sing. Love her.
DO NOT TAKE! Her online class is more work and time consuming than any of my other classes. You have to watch hours of videos and I usually have to spend 2-3 hours on each assignment. She takes over a week to respond to emails and assignments are due by the time she responds with your question regarding the assignment. Inaccurate grading as well.
This was hands down the worst class I have ever taken. This professor must be 100% different when teaching in person. Almost every assignment takes over an hour to complete with multiple assignments a week. All of it is busy work (she forces you to write pages of notes HER way) and has taught me little to nothing.
Class: AGR 353. We had an outrageous amount of work for the winter term section. The workload equaled to 2 assignments per day throughout the 3 week period. Majority of it was lengthy busy work with a ton of different requirements. She published an assignment (6 page research paper) the day before the class ended and expected us to do well on it.
Dr.H is not an awful professor. She cares heavily on what she teaches about. I do not like how she makes you write notes specifically how she wants them written, then grades them tougher if you do not have "good notes". She does know what she is talking about, but speaks like all of the students know the technical terms from the start.
She is a very nice person, but her class is cluttered and unorganized. She also assigns a lot of homework that have seemingly no purpose, and projects are never explained well even when you ask for further explanation. Also a lot of sporadic assignments with little to no guidelines. Can and is very confusing.
Dr. Handayani really cares about the success of all of her students. Her soil science classes are taught with a very sustainability-conscious focus. She is very helpful when you ask questions, but her instructions are often unclear. There is a lot of busy work that doesn't contribute to overall learning.
Grading is a little slow
This class was very informational. It was very work heavy, we had multiple assignments that were worth a lot of points due at the same time. Have to be able to manage your time very well. Be prepared for a weekly chapter summary that last for the first 10 week. Overall, this class was very informational and helped me a lot.
Has powerpoint presentations that is used to teach the material. Make sure to pay attention in class and follow the instructions and the class is not that bad. The material is not too bad to convey the material. Uses lots of pictures and graphs to display or explain the data.
Come to class prepared, and study the material discussed in class lectures.
Professor was very engaging in class lectures, but sometimes can not stay on topic too well. Weekly assignments were not very difficult but can be time consuming. One bad thing is that she made up a lot of projects that were due at the end of the semester that were very time consuming. The projects were not that difficult, but were a lot.
She is nice, but there is a lot of busy work.
The professor does a good job at explaining the material and does a good job of helping the students understand the material. She does go a little heavy on the homework ad book work, but I still learned a lot from this course. If you are willing to do the work, I would recommend this class.
The professor was able to teach the content but was occasionally hard to understand and tends to give a lot of assignments that may or may not relate to the content.
Lecture style is all over the place, but has quality content.
She is an amazing person that cares about student success. But the courses are difficult due to her assigning so much busy work that completely overloads the students. Be prepared to do a presentation or assignment that's due every class period. You have to read the textbook on your own and she does not teach it in class.
This professor cares about student success and truly care about her students getting good grades. This professor does assign a lot of busy work but it does help with the final grade in the class. Overall, I enjoyed this course.
Dr. Handayani is a great professor. She gives a lot of homework and does a lot of lectures, but she is very caring and cares about all of her students a lot. I would recommend this class.
She is very hard to understand. She is hard to learn from because you can't really understand what she is saying. Try to take it with Dr. Gaylord if you can and save yourself the time. She takes so long to grade and does not know how to work Canvas. She also gives a lot of busy work.
Cares about the content and her students. She is sometimes all over the place but the content taught in the course is good.
Great professor just a difficult class. Requires strong work ethic and ability to work hard in a classroom setting. Very kind and cares about students.
Good informative lectures. She has an accent but it's easy enough to understand. Weekly notes are due that are tedious but incentivize reading the textbook chapters.
She cares a lot about her students and is very knowledgeable and I thought the content taught in the course was useful and the lectures were informative. Toward the end if you aren't good with chemistry or math it becomes difficult and the weekly notes can be hard to keep up with but the textbook is easy to read.
Professor Handayani has engaging lectures, but can be a bit scattered at times. Lots of assignments and projects, so be prepared to put in the work. Quizard and other study tools like unstuck study really helped me stay on top of the material.
If you want to sit through hours of lectures only for the exams to include questions that were never covered, this is the class for you.
