Very Goog Professor

My expericence with Pro. E.J was a like-not like one. At first i found her intimidating because of the way she shouted and screamed. She claims to want the best for her students and to see us succeed. I believe that, but Otigbuo is not for those with thin skins. if you must take her class, take it with caution. Good luck

Dr. Otigbuo is a good professor. If people want baby sitting, stay home. Read text, ask questions if YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!! Stop her in mid sentence-IGNORE her rants and raves, you will pass the class. Work hard, no slackers allowed.

She can be very intimidating to her students but also wants the very best for them. You have to work hard and participate in the class discussions. You are guaranteed an A if pay close attention to her lectures and do the extra credit problems. She a great teacher but you?ve got to earn your grade.

She is fair, adores her students, and gives PLENTY of extra credit options to ALL students. Her accent can take a little while to get used to, but it's not that bad. The only time she "seems angry at questions" is when you ask something she JUST explained, but you missed because you weren't paying attention. All in all, a great teacher.

SHE IS AN AWESOME PROF.EVEN THOUGH SOME STUDENTS COMPLAINED OF HER ACCENT BUT BELIEVE U ME,SHE KNOWS THE DEPT OF WHAT SHE IS TEACHING.I WILL TAKE HER AGAIN IF I AM TO TAKE ANOTHER MCB CLASS.

Dr. EJ is one of the greatest teachers I ever had, she knows what she teaches off the top of her head, without even looking at the book. She is very helpful, always making sure everyone understands what she teaches in class and wish I had a teacher like her in every course, she is Great!

The most foolish person can ace this class provided that he/she simply pays attention in class. that's it! u don't need to spend sleepless nights cramming terminology from the thousand-page text book. just get the facts from what she teaches. that's what she tests..good luck!

Dr EJ is a wonderful women. She is very serious will get on you and does not tolerate you talking while she is teaching. She can fuss a lot but I think it's for your own good. If you come to class and work hard she will work with you but don't insult her intellegence.

The best micro teacher u can have. Yes you'd have to have a lot of patience to be in her class cuz she's very intimidating with the way she talks to people but if you pay attention in her class and study her notes, you can easily get an A. She makes her class fun and easy with the way she explains things. You won't regrete taking her class.

Dr. EJ is the best professor I have had at Montgomery College. This is a challenging course, but she inspired me to love Micro. Be prepared to attend class/lab, study, participate and complete the work. She is willing to write recommendations, share her work outside of MC and help her students in any way she can. Would take her again.

Good teacher, I had fun in her class. She yelled a lot, but she wanted all her students to succeed. She gave extra credits often. She is really funny, she uses real life situations in her leactures. I will take her again even with all the yelling lol. That pushed me to work harder.

Dr. Otigbuo is the best of the Professor I've even taken classes with. She makes micro fun and engaging. She knows her stuff! I never thought that I would enjoy learning micro so much. Her teaching style is all about application. She has good techniques that help you remember the contents of micro. She is an AMAZING Prof. She is my role model!!

I love her! Even though she seems harsh, she genuinely cares about her students. I love how she doesn't "baby" her students. She wants you to try things on your own and learn from your mistakes. You are an awesome Professor, very very patient, your materials did help me much. your scenarios did help to remember. you did break it down when l come to you with questions from outside the textbook. You want us to understand and apply it in our daily life not just reading. Will always recommend you as an excellent PROF 4 MICROBIOLOGY.

At the beginning of the school year she was tough, but towards the end, she gave us extra credits, and made one on one appointments with her failing students to help them pass. If you study, you will pass, her exams are very straightforward.

She is the best teacher ever at MC. She masters Microbiology and made it so enjoyable, interesting, lively and with real life applications that it was very easy to understand even for below average learners. She cares about her students and gives extra credit. Review sheets are on point with exams. Take her and you won't regret it. Grades fairly.

She respects her students and is very helpful in and out of class. She is very organized and tells you what to expect. Exams are from the review she gives. Lectures are amazing and I would take her over and over again. She gives extra credit too. She is an amazing teacher and woman.

Professor Ijeoma is like a mom to me. She has some temper sometimes, but she really cares when you show that you care about your grades and class kinds of stuff. Be involved in class, ask questions, don't take some of her comments personally. She has a lot of knowledge and love to give to her students. But you do need to study to do well in class.

She is the best

Professor Otigbuo was great. Intimidating at first, but as long as you do your work and take notes you'll be okay. Don't take what she says personally, she's tough for a reason but it'll only make you be better. You can pass the class if you're proactive, but don't expect to be babied in here, either.

Here's the rundown: your grade consists of exams & two write-ups. No homework, so you really do have to pay attention to her lectures. Exam questions are what's on her objective sheet so there are no surprises, some questions come straight from lecture (she will tell you ahead of time). Easy if you pay attention. Dr. Otigbuo is truly an icon!

Amazing instructor, made learning microbiology fun. At first I thought it was going to be hard, but I found this class to be easier than BIOL 150. If you follow her lectures and pay close attention to what she says, you don't really need to even use your textbook. Has exam review sheets so you know what to expect. Do not be afraid!

A real GEM! Gives information that is easily digestible and sometimes let us out early. There is a lot of information, but she makes it easy to understand. Her exams have no surprises as she gives a review sheet as well as gives hints during lectures. Thought this was going to be difficult, but it turned out to be very easy & manageable.

Was totally worth taking this accelerated class. She made the subject easy to understand! You have barely any homework and then there's a couple of exams which cover both lecture and lab stuff. Listen to her during class time and take notes on what she says, you'll do just fine! Don't ask her questions about things that are already on the syllabus.

I had Dr. Otigbuo as a professor for Microbiology and Nutrition. She is simply brilliant and inspiring. If you can pass her class, you can pass any class at any university.

Dr. Otigbuo is super fun, outgoing, and understanding so I always felt comfortable in her class. Also, her course load is just the right amount. There is no graded homework, just exams. Her exams are very straightforward and based on actual learned lecture material.

Exams from this professor seem to be easier than other BIOL courses I've taken at MC. Amazing, quality instructor. Glad I took a risk and signed up for her course.

Lectures are straightforward and matches her exams, so take notes during lecture. Has a review sheet for all the exams that correlate with what's being tested. Excellent instructor!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PROFESSOR FOR MICROBIOLOGY!

Pay attention and don't ask obvious questions (always refer to the syllabus)! You will pass as long as you follow this golden rule.

I've taken microbiology from a different professor and failed. Took it with Otigbuo and passed with flying colors! SO thankful I signed up, but it definitely took a little bit of work to succeed. It's easy if you attend lectures and take notes.

Easy A. Puts all lecture slides and labs on blackboard. Has review sheet as a study guide for all her exams (lecture and lab). Put in a little effort, and passed with a good grade.

Took a break from school and was surprised I was able to keep up in Dr. Otigbuo's class! Easy to follow, clear guidelines on everything including her exams, and sometimes let us out of class early. What an amazing, brilliant individual. I've learned a lot from her.

She is basically the Miss Frizzle of microbiology. You WILL learn and get the grade you want with a little bit of elbow grease. Very manageable courseload.

People who get a bad grade in this class either don't pay attention or don't take notes. EASY if you just do those two. Oh, and read your SYLLABUS!

I used to hate biology and now I love it!

She makes class time efficient because her lectures only cover what is going to be on the exam, we even got let out of class early on some days! Would recommend her if you want an easy grade in microbiology as well as learn a lot of interesting facts about the microscopic world.

Such a tremendous privilege to have her as an instructor. Her class itself is easy and pretty manageable if you attend class lectures. Labs are straightforward, although can be quite a bit of information.

I ended up doing well in the course even though science is not my best subject. I really think it was Dr. Otigbuo's teaching that made the difference in my success in this class. Definitely recommend, easy and straightforward work for the most part.

This class is rather humorous and easy, which is quite the refreshment for a content-intensive course. Instructor was very straightforward with what is going to be on the exam and there was no homework at all involved. Stay on top, it will be the easiest thing you've done!

Took accelerated course with her. There's a lot of info to take in, but that's because its in the nature of the subject. Microbiology is not easy, but she somehow makes it very manageable! SO glad I got that over with in less time it normally takes!!

She seems scary at first, but once you warm up to her, she wont be that bad. The class is not much harder than the bio class prerequisite before this, but you still have to pay attention to some details. Easy lecture and labs.

Prior to this class I did not think I was going to do well because science was not my best subject but in the end she helped me out so much in understanding course material that i was prepared by the time her exams came!! definitely life changing.

I failed Microbiology with a different professor and when I took Dr. Otigbuo I was so nervous and scared. I ended up passing with flying colors since her class was very well organized as well as no surprises on her tests or assignments. Barely any homework and she's funny! Definitely recommend.

I honestly think I would not have passed Microbiology if it weren't for Dr. O. Very caring instructor, who may seem hard at first, but it's in your best interest. Offers extra credit and there's virtually no homework! That being said, make sure you pay special attention in her lectures, as her grades are mainly made up of exams. EASY!

If you fret science classes, don't fear! Dr. Otigbuo helps you learn a lot about the subject in a way that you are not stressed out. She always tells you what's going to be on her exams. No homework, a couple writing assignments (not much at all), and lecture/lab exams. That's really all to this class. She makes the info learned relevant to life!

I liked this professor. Not only did she keep lectures short & concise, she encouraged us to ask questions. There's no homework in this class, so your grade just depends on exams. She will let you know what's on the exams and what to be prepared for. Unexpectedly easy if you just pay attention to her.

Tough at the beginning, but she mellowed out towards the end of the course. Definitely recommend as she helps you understand the material & apply it to life outside the classroom, which helps if you're going into the medical field. Take notes & listen to her lectures, she will drop hints as to what she is putting on the exams.

If you do the work, this class is not so bad. She makes the material easy to understand and her exams are exactly what she says they are! I thought I was going to have trouble in this class from prior experience with other science courses, but she made it so that I understood everything in order to perform well on her exams! Not for the faint of heart. She is a great instructor who inserts her experiences in a clinical setting in order for us to get a better understanding of the application of the ideas. If you pay attention and take notes this class will be super easy! There were two write-ups, but they weren't even formal essays. A breeze!

Easiest biology class I've ever taken in my undergrad career. Pay attention to the details and don't doubt yourself are the two things you should be doing in order to pass this course. Her teaching style is great, but the student has to take initiative.

I cannot believe how understanding this professor is! She really took her time in explaining all her major assignments. Her exams are easy as well so long as you take notes on her PowerPoints. Any extra info she goes over in class, easy sailing to an A! Made science less dreadful.

Fairly easy professor, you just have to read the textbook and go over her PowerPoints. In class, write down everything she says as it's fair game on her exams. Labs and major assignments are straightforward, so long as you READ her directions. She may seem intimidating, but she definitely will set you up for success. Just READ and pay attention.
