Great professor! Keep in mind that you do need basic understanding of math and algebra to even think of taking this class. Explains everything thoroughly. She does start about 5 minutes early and go all the way until the end but that's because you have so much material to cover. She's very considerate of what her students need. Overall, wonderful.

Professor Zargouni is not easy and you have to work hard in her class. She cares about her students and looks helpful. Attending class is important to learn. I do not like math and I did not study hard enough as I wanted but I think a student who studies a lot will do well in applied calc.

She was a good teacher and explained very well. You really have to study for her class though. Her test were hard. As long as you study very well, you should be fine.

Professor Zargouni was an awesome professor. She spends time going over problems and makes sure everyone understands them. After our first test, the rest were mostly multiple choice and some short answer. Gives four random in class assignments worth a total of 10% of your grade. If you skip, you can't make them up so choose wisely.

You need to have a basic understanding of algebra to take this class. She expects it of you. She is clear to that fact. Aslong as you help yourself she will help you.

This class wasn't awful but it wasn't fun either. It's hard to understand her and she gets frustrated easily if you have a question. One test is replaced by the final, and if you complete the MyMathLab you'll more than likely get a good grade in the class. She also gives random assignments in class sometimes for a quiz grade. I'd take her again.

This professor was easy, and she does not take attendance. She also posts the power points online so you could skip all the time and easily keep an A. However she does randomly give out in class quizzes and assignments. I took her MWF class and she never gives tests on Friday, which is nice. I would take one of her classes again.

She will do absolutely everything do help you pass. She gives extra credit "quizzes" the class before the exam, and posts practice questions with step by step solutions. If you don't understand you can email her and she replies quick and is caring. She does have a slight accent, but if you're paying attention it is no big deal. Excellent professor.

She's really good at what she does, paying attention makes it seem way easier, but she uploads the notes she does in class everyday, very helpful teacher, just ask for help and she will help you.

It's obvious that Professor Zargouni knows her stuff. Her lectures are very useful. I didn't really have to consult the textbook while doing homework, which is very rare for a math class in my experience. Same could be said for exams. I didn't really need to do much other than reviewing the homework and lecture notes.

Great professor who wants students to succeed. Although she assigns tons of homework on my math lab, DO IT!! I hardly ever attended class, yet did all of the homework and I got A's on all the tests. Attendance is not mandatory, however on random days in class she assigns classwork for completion which counts towards your grade...

One of the better professors for math! She gives clear and concise lectures, will walk you through MANY problems and examples. However applied calc is still relatively hard so definitely prepare to do homework and studying on your own. Her tests are multiple choice but you still gotta study! She also helps you out a lot when grading.

The professor is tough, but she tries her best to explain everything. No math is easy. If you listen and write notes, you can easily get an A. Tests are multiple choice and HW is online with lots of time to complete.

I can't say it was an easy A, but she did care for her students. I would prolly take again but I don't need any more math classes (Thank God)

Great teacher! I took AP Calculus in high school, so my opinion on class difficulty might be a little biased. The class grading was made up of online homework that is due almost every Sunday. Three test throughout the semester that can make or break your grade. If you're good at math this will be an easy A.

Professor Zargouni is extremely nice and she really cares about her students. She will work with you until you understand and gives a lot of extra credit. She also posts her lectures online so if you miss class you will always know what she taught.

Professor Zargouni is really nice and easy grader. Her tests are exactly like her notes and homework questions. She POSTS all her POWERPOINTS on D2l, which is very convenient. She is available outside her office hours. There is 3 easy EXTRACREDIT opportunities, which will really boost your grade.

You don't have to go to her class. Just 4 tests and 1 will be dropped. She is in contact anytime and she cares. Weekly online homework. You have unlimited tries to solve the questions and get full credit. She is Awesome. I'm have her again for another class next semester.

She loves helping her students. As long as you make sure you understand how to do the work and study, you'll get an A on the tests. Sometimes the way she explains things can be a bit too jargony, but she always provides a bunch of examples, so it was never a problem. Homework due at the end of every week.

Professor Zargouni was a great teacher. I loved her college algebra class and the act that the homework had unlimited tries. Her lectures were elongated by lots of explaining of a problem but she wants her students to understand and do good in her class

Very sweet professor, who cares about you doing well. Sometimes the lectures can be hard to understand, but if you ask her, she will be more than willing to help. Tests and homework can be hard, but she wants you understand the material. There's around three homeworks a week, and you need to make sure to do them.

I will fully admit I am dumb as a doorknob in math. If you work hard to try to understand the concepts you will get good grades. She grades super graciously and gave me many points for my work on the tests where I didn't even know what I was trying to do. GO TO CLASS! Your in-class assignments are bonus points added to your test grades.

I love this class! I was nervous bc I haven't taken math in two years and I didn't remember anything, but Prof Zargouni really explains things well and does a lot of practice problems. Definitely go to class bc she gives out lots of bonus and it helps a lot! Graded on 4 tests and a little homework. Overall great choice!

Ms. Zargouni is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. As long as you show up and do the practice problems in class there is no way you can't get an A. Homework takes a long time but it is worth it when you get an A on the exam.

She is a wonderful professor and I like her teaching style. But you do have to study a lot.

I am not that good at math and I did very well in this class. You do have to show up though if you want a good grade. Also, there is homework, but it helps make the tests easier.

You have alot of grades, which is good because you can screw a few things up and still be fine. You will likely have 3 assignments per week, including the homework, and an occasional quiz. If you do all the homework and actually learn, the class is not hard. It is more of participating and practicing. I would definitely take her again.

It is true that most of the class is done on ALEKS, an online AI-based homework-generator. But there's nothing wrong with that. The lectures are useful for getting started on a topic, then you just learn the rest yourself on ALEKS. She responds to emails and questions and is never rude. She may seem useless at times, but that's fine.

Summer classes are supposed to be accelerated but this is something else. Expect homework every 2-3 days with up to 16 topics each, 4 unmonitored quizzes, 4 monitored quizzes, and 5 monitored test. If you do all of the assignments you'll pass but the test are hard since its so much in a short amount of time. She gave extra credit which helped.

She's a very nice professor that explains stuff through her lectures. She is easily accessible outside of class and her study guides are very similar to the tests. Beware, most of the course is done on ALEKS though, and there's a good bit of busy work as a result. She also has a strict attendance policy. She has an accent but I understood her.

She is a very kind professor who clearly knows what she's talking about. She has an accent but I understood everything she said perfectly and it caused very little trouble. Attendance is mandatory and all of the work is done through ALEKS, which causes a lot of busywork. If you don't show up to her class, it will be a difficult course overall.

This class is not for the people that only want to do the bare minimum. It's precalc, it's difficult. However, she made it super easy. Study guides were exactly like the tests and she allowed one test retake at the end of the semester. She's amazing. 10/10 if you put the work in

I took her college algrebra course, and I stink at math in general!! But as long as you work hard she will recognize that and is willing to work with you if you are struggling. She has an accent but I could understand her explainations during lectures. There is a lot of homework, but its online so try to complete it before the deadline.

She's a really understanding teacher and if you need help she will always stay after class to talk to you. She has extended some of the Aleks things and she posts all of her power points online so you have access to everything. I would def take her again. All she does in class is go over the ICAs and modules.

Professor Zargouni wants you to do well in her class and understands that this is a hard class. She will stay after her lectures to help with the in class assignments and she is very detailed when doing her lectures. You def need to go to class to do well in the class. She also uploads her work to D2L which helps a lot. I recommend her!

All around it was easy course. She does give a lot of homework on Aleks. She will extend Aleks if you just ask. She's very understanding and will work with you. I would take again 110%.

The professor was really nice & caring. Her lectures were simple enough to follow along & understand. Technically I had an advantage since I'm familiar with calculus. Homework and quizzes due each week on Sunday's & Monday's. Tests covered material taught in class so just look over the notes which she provides as completed lecture notes online.

I took professor Ikbel over the summer and even though the class was accelerated it never felt that way, because she thoroughly explained topics and would skip over topics the whole class felt comfortable with. She had in class assignments and would walk around and assist every student. 11/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I wish she taught calc 1.

She's literally so awesome. She busts out all the different colored pens and highlighters on whatever notes app she uses as she gives lectures, which makes concepts really easy to understand. Plus, she's never bothered by 'stupid' questions. You could ask her, "What's 2 + 2 again?" and she'd break it down for you without judgment.

her class is ok she is super sweet and tries her best to explain everything (a little too much) but she is good there are lot of work and tbh I didn't do a lot so my grade went down her lectures are a hit or miss ALEKS explains a lot if you don't get anything, overall just a lot of work but the easy class I guess.

Great professor. She really cares about her students success and shows multiple ways to solve a problem if necessary. She's very kind and never gets upset with any question that you ask no (no matter how easy or obvious it is). She's very helpful and willing to work with you. Precal is a hard class content wise, but she's great at helping you learn

She is so so so sweet and and genuinely cares about you. She makes sure to explain everything well and she is pretty fair in grading tests. There is a lot of work to do on ALEKS but that is how math always is. Paying attention and practicing will really help you succeed.

She is extremely understanding, and if you show up to class she will help your grade! I was barely expecting a B in her class and she gave me an A because I did my assignments and showed up to class. She is very thorough during lectures and will always answer your questions.

She is the best, plain and simple. She is so caring and understanding, and she helps you understand everything. She goes through a lot of examples so you understand how to do it. She is probably the best math teacher I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and take her!

She is amazing!! I HIGHLY recommend taking her, she is so so understanding and very lenient with homework deadlines, the test reviews are exactly like her exams, you do use a lot of ALEKS but it's great practice. Do your work and don't fall behind and you'll get an A!!!

Summer semester '24. She is a great professor her class is solving problems most of the time rather than reading through a PowerPoint/textbook. She has in class assignments and walks around to make sure everyone understands the material.

She cares a lot and has the most office hours I've ever seen from a professor in four years of college. She will go out of her way to help you. The material is very learnable, and is made a little more difficult as her notes can be difficult to follow along with.

She was absolutely amazing. She often pushed back deadlines to allow for more time to work and is super kind. Responds to emails with the day usually and allows cheat sheets on tests. Quizes are online with camera and tests are in person. There is a homework module on aleks every week. Bonus questions on tests and partial credit.

She is absolutely amazing! She is so sweet, and wants her students to learn. She provides so many helpful resources. She puts a completed version of the notes and videos to help you on D2L, and has practice work in ALEKS before every module and quiz, After every class, she would be outside at a table for half an hour to help.

She's very caring of all the students as she wanted all of us to succeed in the course. She was passionate about what she taught, and it led to me having an easier understanding about what I was learning as she was willing to go over topics again, and we practiced a lot on topics that the class struggled with.

LOVED THIS PROFESSOR SO MUCH, SHE MADE PRECAL ONLINE IN THE SUMMER SEEM SO EASY. RESPONDS TO EMAILS FAST AND IS VERY SUPPORTIVE OF STUDENTS. TOTAL OF 3 TEST, 1 FINAL, 8 ICAS, AND HW MODULES DUE EVERY WEEK. SHE ALLOWED MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS ON QUIZZES & EXTENDS DUE DATES. DO THE ASSIGMENTS AND DO THE PRACTICE QUIZ/TEST REVIEWS AND YOU WILL GET AN A.

the grade "C" was my fault because life happened lol..but I would've had a easy A with this class. professor Zargouni was OVERLY helpful to me all semester. she was the best professor ive had since coming to college. the work is hard at times but aleks will teach you/ use your resources and her stuff she provides she allowed extensions

Taking Algebra 1111 in person is overwhelming. The workload is heavy with ICA, quizzes, and ALEKS assignments every week. The professor teaches differently from ALEKS, which often makes the material confusing to follow. She's very kind, patient, and always available for help, but even with her support, it's still challenging to keep up overall

Just do your work and pay attention in class thats all you need. Have her for Algebra 1101 and her lectures are amazing.If you don't understand anything she'll explain it to you after class or in her office hours. She offer extra credit too, like one time if we did the practice test on ALEKS we got +5 pts and another time she added a bonus question

She's honestly my favorite professor since I've been in college. Math is not my strong suit however she made me love it. I've learned more in her class than I did in high school. I would absolutely take her again. She's nice, accessible and accommodating. She shows a lot of grace with due dates if you communicate and talk to her.

This class literally felt I was in a committed relationship with it. ICAs, quizzes, tests, and long ALEKS assignments. The class is time-consuming and at times difficult, but the professor is very kind, patient, and caring. I would take her again, but I never wanna see this material again.
