as long as you do the hw and study before tests you'll pass. she gives a review very similar to the test so if you study that you'll be fine. tests are multiple choice and are usually 20-25 questions. teaches kinda fast but has a good personality and is funny. doesn't make the class boring. i passed with a C.

She is a very good professor, she gives great reviwes which really helps for the tests. Attendance is not mandatory but she gives extra credit for good attendance.

Shes a great professor. Gives very good notes and never teaches directly from the book. Down to earth and always held our interest..so class was always fun. Honestly I was worried when I saw all these horrible and negative comments. I took her class cause it was the only one I could get into. She is really not nearly as bad as people are making her seem. I ended with an A; she explains everything and is BEYOND willing to help you if you have question. I recommend her is you want to learn. :)

Damn, this posts bellow are very harsh, is it really her fault you failed? I can't fully give a review because I had a strong math background prior to coming to this class and just texted all of class and still got 100s. She seemed to teach well and even gave out her number for students who need extra help. how can you say she doesn't care?

This was my 3rd time taking inter-algebra and i finally passed. She explains everything in detail yes the test are hard but if you dont do the work how do you expect to pass. The students that fail in my class did so because they would not stop talking didnt do the homework and didnt do the extra work on the textbook. The final is super easy.

One of the best professors I have had. I hate math so much and I am also horrible at it, but she made it easy to understand. She willing to take time and help you understand everything. Since I took her class I am now able to understand the math class im in now. Best professor hands down. She is willing and wants everyone to learn.

EXCELLENT PROFESSOR. When you ask a question, she is very patient and she makes sure everyone understands everything b4 moving on. (tests 50%, online HW 25%, attendance 5%, the final is 20%) You have to put in the extra work outside class, then the material won't seem hard. I will take her again if she will teach in the fall.

She is very helpful, she breaks down math in a way you can truly understand. She offers extra help outside of class. The online homework is part of the grade, which is great, because you can get 100% on the homework (there are unlimited tries, so you can get a perfect score). If you come to class, you also get the 5% for attendance.

I read these reviews before taking her class, I was a little nervous however they were completely wrong! She explains everything perfect, if you just follow her hw you should easily pass. This is my 2nd class with her and she is great. She gives out great test reviews and you must do the homework in order to undestand the work its math so you need to practice. Do all the homework and study her test review and you will be fine. If you dont understand something ASK HER dont keep quiet!! Dont miss class every class is important.

I like professor Howard. She explains the problems clearly and give us the best way to solve it. She does care for the students success in the course also funny and patiente. I think some students that complained should be aware that college is not elementary school anymore!! I recommend her. You will learn with her. Just practice problems :)

She explains very well, makes the subject easy. The book is impossible to understand, we were lucky to have her break things down as she did. Nice person, friendly and caring towards her students.

The class is not easy. But it is what it is, it's MATH! It is not the professor's fault that math comes hard for students. She does a great job at explaining, but you have to do yours as well.

I have taken this class before and I can tell you, I am glad that I took this professor. She explains things until you understand, gives plenty of examples, stays with you after class to help further if you need.

I never understood math until I took prof. Howard. The class requires a lot of work, but that is how math is. You need to put in a lot of practice to become good at it. She gives test reviews and they are very helpful. She counts homework for your grade, as well as attendance. So, your grade is not just based on your tests.

Best math teacher I ever had. Very detailed in her lectures, excellent notes. Makes math manageable. Of course it's not easy, bc it's math.

Miss Howard treats her students very respectfully and genuinely cares about them learning and passing. It was a very useful experience taking her class.

I was very nervous when I started this class. Business calculus. I am not too good in math, but I did very well in prof Howard's class. I was comfortable asking questions and there was not that much homework as in lower courses. Overall, I rate her as superior.

I took this class before and didn't pass. Miss Howard made it easy by explaining step by step, writing down every step on the board, and keeping a good pace. She speaks clearly and stops to ask questions. She will explain in several ways until the class understands. If you need more explanation, stay and ask her after class. She will always help .

We had the final today, I did very well. The review was very helpful. I feel like I have learned so much in this class, and I even started to like math. The prof.is very good and helpful to anyone.

I read the comment below, and I believe I was in the same class with whoever wrote that comment. Yeah, it's funny how some blame the professor for their failure. Like she is the one who can put the knowledge in your brain, or she is the one who takes the tests in your place. She is going a great job at what is her responsibility.

Professor Howard was very knowledgeable about the course, she cared about us as students and her teaching techniques were very modern a good combination of chalkboard examples in class and online homework and quizes which was very helpful. Very good teacher would take her class again.

She actually explains the work which other math teachers dont do and gives PLENTY of homework to practice on. Reviews are identical to the test. If she forgets to give you a review ask for one. Dont expect to be given a A she is a real collage teacher so you will have to earn your grade. Overall very nice and fun.

I took her class on fast track, and it was really easy. She shows some videos that explain everything and the lab is pretty easy too. You just do the lab hours and pay attention and you'll succeed in this class

I loved Ms. Howard, she was an easy teacher who was easy to get along with! She made everything really understandable, and even though I'm typically bad at math, I did really well in her class!

She is not the best teacher in the world for me. I mean if you are looking to work in groups half the time then she is perfect for you. She does help you if you need it, but she focuses to much on our personal life than math itself. Its a struggle. At first i was excited to go to her class, but to me it was just a waste of time.

She recently changed her teaching style and it is absolutely terrible. We work in groups to learn all the time and she herself has taught us nothing. If you're interested in learning everything on your own in class and outside of class she is the right professor for you.

Professor Howard is very clear in her explanations and patient when she teaches. She fits the explanations AND a lot of practice during class, and she helps us with the practice problems. Only the students who do not attend class fail. If you are late or only show up once in a while, you miss valuable explanation and practice.

She is an awesome professor who used all possible methods to help us get good grades. Only one student failed and that is because she never studied or showed up for class.

Amazing professor! She truly cares for the success of her students and makes sure you understand the material. I am taking her again for MAC1105. I advise you to only buy the access code instead of both the textbook and code because I didn't open the book once the whole semester.

Prof Howard was great, she cares about her job but has a STRICT grading policy she check every single detail in the WEEKLY homework assignments, the tests are proctored but easy because they are straight out of the practice tests so i suggest do them. I missed an assignment and she let me make it up. I would definitely take her again.

Taking this class with Professor Howard was amazing. She gives practice tests that are extremely similar to the proctored exam. She is caring and makes sure that you understand what is being taught. Her ability to be hands on and easily accessible is extraordinary. As long as you participate and review the given material you will be fine.

She is great! Take this class! She cares about you and is willing to help in any way she can. This class is structured in a way that is easy to follow and the material isn't difficult. Make sure you take the practice tests!!! Not an easy A, but also not impossible.

Get ready to work! You must study, if not you will fail each proctored online exam. There were a total of about 5 exams. Weekly homework, and one discussion question per week. Do the work and you will pass.

The teacher is awesome and responds quick but this class has ALEKS so if you fail that pretest drop immediately! You WILL get extra work that WILL be unbearable and its out of the teachers hands because ALEKS creates the review. I do not recommend this class paired with more then 1 other class it will be too much. I ended up withdrawing

Great class, everything is laid out and easy to understand. Professor responds to email quickly. Plenty of options for getting a decent grade. Would take again with her if I needed too.

STA2023-Professor Howard cares about her students and their success in class. She gives out her number for a quick response, should you have any questions. The homework assignments are always open if you ever want to improve your grade. And she allowed for a second attempt on tests because she wanted everyone to do well.

Professor Howard was so nice. She gave out her number so you can text her whenever you had a question. This class does require work. There are 7 tests which are each 100 points and make up most of the grade. There are 6 discussions and 35 homework assignments. One attempt for the test. There is a study review before the test to help you.

If you struggle with math please take this professor. I am not good with math and I was able to pass this class with a B.

Be ready to work. 70% of your grade consists of 6 proctored tests and a final. 20% is homework which is 30 very long assignments, and the last 10% is 6 discussions. Since this class is online, everything is through Pearson. This professor is great, but there is a lot of work. Avoid this class or study hard because there is no easy A.

Professor Howard is caring & willing to help as long as you communicate. It was her encouragement that helped me complete this class and not drop out. She took the time to explain areas that I need to work on via text. As long as you work hard, apply yourself and meet deadlines you will succeed. I am 55 years old and a first-time college student.

Professor Howard does go out of her way to help students when they need it. Her class is paced very well and I thought the online lessons were easy to understand. The tests do have a heavy impact on your grade so be prepared.

I have never been someone who found math easy. I dropped out of MAC1105 because I found it too test-heavy and decided to take MGF1130. The course does require attention and has homework assignments, proctored tests, and module projects. I didn't score very well on the tests but still passed with an A. If you dedicate some time you will succeed
