Professor augenlicht was really cool she made the morning very interesting with her crazy client stories, but i must say she was a good teacher and taught in her own funny way i would definitley take her classes again

She's ok. Easy A. But if you're the type who is sleepy or doesn't partipate, she will make you pay attention or wake up! She allways calls on people for opinions,etc.. Which I disliked. But overall funny lady, and great teacher.

Humorous. Entertains the class with stories from her therapy practice. Class discussions are encouraged and almost all the information is located in the book.This professor encourages students to use office hours and easily available outside of class.

The class was great. It was fun, (only way to get through an early morning class) we laughed and talked as a group. You learn more than you need to get through the class, if your willing to hear it. I say take her class, you won't be sorry. If you have an ounce of intelligence, you will get alot more out of her class than you think.

Yo recomiendo esta clase y a esta profesora. En esta clase yo aprendi sobre niños con problemas de Autismo, tambien aprendi que todos nosotros soñamos aunque no nos recordemos. Ilene es una profesora que tiene buen sentido de humor, nunca es aburida y es muy graciosa. Yo no me arepiento de haber cogido esta clase por que conosi a una buena profe.

whoever had a problem with this teacher has a serious issue, we learned a lot but had a great time learning what we did. she always made me laugh and i would definitly would take another class if i were to stay at suffolk. she is very intelligent and is extremly fun.

she was the best professor this semester. the class was always interesting and we learned alot. shes hillarious and keeps the class awake. i would deff recommend her to anyone. shes an awesome professor.

She is a very, very easy prof. Pretty much if you show up you pass. She gives roughly a 30 point curve on every thing and never fails to make class fun and interesting. you cannot tell this lady anything that would surprise her. shes knowledgable about much and has a great sense of humor. 60% of class is stories from students. Crazy fun

awesome teacher.......took her over the summer and actually didn't mind going to school in the summer....she has a story for everything and is so fun but still so knowledgeable....if you take anyone else your not doing yourself any favors!

shes a freakin awsome prof. u cant fail her class all u do is show up for class and at least try to take her tests and she gives u a C and then at the end of her semester she gives u a paper which is about total BS im so far getting an A so if ur smart enough u would take her

I just completed PC11 in the wintersession. She is an extremely laid back and sweet professor.It is definitely east to get an A but you have to put in the work, she doesn't just hand them out. She also gives huge curves on her exams and allows you to hand in as many extra credit papers as you want.

Awesome prof..really nice and is very funny. Doesn't really take attendance. Don't take notes in class just go through the chpts and discuss them. As long as you read the chpts you'll ace the class. Have to write one 3-5 page paper about a personal event in your life. Wish I could take her class again.

This professor is amazing, I took her over the summer that just passed and she hasn't changed from what everyone is saying. You do have to read the chapters, if you do that though, you will get an A. This was a Wintersession class, and was more like 3 weeks of Group Therapy. Very interesting teaching method, with a lot of class discussion. Tests were a little more detailed than lead to believe, but she is very fair. Paper assigned was also very fair. She is THE 1960's hippy prof, and with an open mind you will enjoy the class. Very funny!

Great professor she is sweet and considerate I called her my "Queen of hearts." Very intelligent make sure you give her an apple, a Big one. She is real psychologist so be careful she got psychic cross section skills. Enjoi her classes.

By far the best professor i've ever had in my entire life. She should be performing stand up comedy instead of being a teacher, im dead serious. I looked forward to going to her class everyday and i ****in hate school. it's an easy A, only 3 tests and a paper, no homework. Funniest lady ive ever met hands down. She is awesome! She knows what she is talking about. You use the textbook every class and as long as you go to class every time and take all three test and write the paper you will pass. The paper is 5pages and all you get is a check for writing it because she doesn't think you can grade someone on their life. You should take her!!

I took Prof. Augenlicht's class during winter inter-session, (3 weeks) very concerned to have to learn so much in such a short time. Best Professor Ever! She's smart, funny, down to earth and a genuinely good person. Had a blast in class and a grade I'm thrilled with. Take her for any psych class she teaches!

Has a very unique approach to teaching but in the end I grew to really like her. Encourages students to share their own experiences. Definitely worth taking.

She is crazzyyyy but in a funny way. very blunt and doesn't care either but she sure knows a lot about all things psych and is comfortable to talk about anything. I suggest her 100% 3 tests and a final and one paper I believe but so easy if you read the chapters!

Ilene is amazing. (she allowed us to call her Ilene,which just shows how cool she is). She has the funniest, most entertaining stories to tell. She doesn't really take attendence, and she's incredibly easy going. At first I thought her exams were difficult, but if you talk to her, she will give you a higher grade almost always. Take her!

ILENE IS AMAZING. Really fun, funny, engaging. Mostly chatting about personal stuff in class while loosely flipping through textbook, but it kept things interesting. Three exams and a paper. To do well on the exams, be prepared to read the chapters and remember some of the stuff. Scantron based. Paper was easy.

She is nuts but in the best way possible. Literally THE funniest prof I've had. She mainly talks about herself for the whole class while skimming the book. For her tests, make sure to read the textbook and take notes and you will definitely get an A. Her tests are curved about 10 questions. No final. Take her if you can and you'll laugh all class.

Best professor at Suffolk! Knows her stuff, and only teaches you what's important. She applies real life situations to help understand psychology. Her class is like a stand up comedy act. Loved her.

Exams are easy, and she never kept us the full three hours. The paper was to tell her a story that happened in our life. No rules about it, you could have just made one up. You will know who Ron the Handyman is very quickly.

The class consists of 3 tests and a final paper (5 pages). Prof. Augenlicht is an hilarious professor, that's can make any boring class more fun! Every class she talks about something new, from her baby daddy Ron the Handyman to her past drug use. Even thought her tests are tough just pay attention, show up and study! I would totally recommend her.

Professor Augenlicht is the best professor I ever had!!! This class consist of 3 test which is all curved, and a 5 page paper. I got 3 B+ on all the text and she gave me an A overall!! She is hilarious. Her lectures are pretty interesting, never missed class because of that. The class is pretty fair, all you have to do is read the textbook!

Professor Augenlicht is a fantastic professor! One of the few professors that actually takes pride in their class and their position to teach students properly. She makes you want to come to class! The best thing you can do is show up and participate. If I could take her again and again I would.

Never took the time to go on here and rate one of my professors, but this one was definitely worth it ! She is probably THE best teacher I have ever had. Made me actually want to go to class to learn and her teaching method is awesome. I would recommend taking her you won't be disappointed !

Very hilarious woman... loves her job and interacting with students. If you are a believer I suggest you don't take this class because she will make fun of you and God if you're a Christian. I absolutely LOVE her. She is the funniest woman you will ever meet. Even though she doesn't take attendance, you'll actually want to show up for her class because she makes it so enjoyable. Very laid back. Had her for PSY101 and PSY210 and I would've taken more psych classes just to get her as a prof. She will honestly make your day. TAKE HER.

When I first started this class I didn't think I would like it, but after a few weeks I realized how great she really is. if you really want to learn don't take her, but if you want to learn more about yourself and life take her! opened the class up to each other and we all became friends. not to mention she actually helps you with life problems

By far the best PHY proffers at Suffolk. Her test are easy and so is she. The class is interesting and she lets you out early SOMEDAYS. The phone is no problem and book is not mandatory but good to have, very understanding and will make sure you get a good grade if you ask.

took her class as a visiting student looking to get credit to knock out a prerequisite. subject material is boring but the way she ties personal stories into it make it somewhat interesting. very lenient, lots of fun. took her over winter break and she seemed to cut us all a break since we were doing extra. nice lady, wish she taught at my school

If you have to take lifespan development take her.... you will not regret it, she is easy going, caring, funny. You would love going to her class. I had so much fun in the class. PSYCH 101: Funny professor, off color humor. Let's class out early. Relatable. Tests are easy, huge curve, impossible to fail, if you do, you deserve it. Not a lot of work, as long as you do what little there is, you'll be fine. Book recommended. If you don't have a sense of humor, stay out of this class.

Most entertaining class i have taken yet. She keeps the class engaged and fun to be a part of. Alway makes sure students are prepared and is very open to questions and widespread discussion. Excellent professor. Favorite by far.

She has an amazing personality and she's very likable but you won't learn anything from her class. I like learning from my teachers and I felt like I learned absolutely nothing from psychology from her. She was great but it was disappointing how I didn't get anything out of this class.

This class is impossible to get below a C. Almost everyone gets a B+ or an A. She talks about herself pretty much the whole class but tells stories to help you remember what we needed to know. She is an in class therapist where u can talk to her about anything AND FOR FREE. She's a little wacky but what psych teacher isn't

Professor Augenlicht is a hilarious teacher and she tells real life stories to help you understand the material. I took this class online during the pandemic and there were no tests or homework. Only 3 papers (2 one page papers and one 5 page). She also never fails people and the worst grade you will get is a C. Take her and you won't regret it.

A lot of people don't like how she teaches but I think if you struggle with textbooks and notes then take this class with her. She teaches off on her own experiences and it makes it easier for me when she explains something from the textbook and adds her own real-life example to it. She's also very funny and caring about her students.

A lot of out-of-pocket jokes, so be prepared for that if you get uneasy about it. Extremely easy - prides herself on being an "easy A." However, the class started with her saying she disliked Child Psych, so I walked away learning practically nothing which I found unfortunate as an aspiring teacher. Easy A but you don't learn much.
