Perhaps one of the great algebra teachers like Dr. Childs. His examples in class get u prepared for tests.

Wish he was the course co-ordinator. The best thing about him, is his detailed examples for each theorem, whatsoever. This is so unlike his other collegues !!

great teacher. the questions on tests are actually based on questions from class or from the homework (which is rare among so many idiot professors), except slightly harder. easy to talk to, and willing to help people learn.

An excellent stats prof (compared to the one i have currently). Like others said, Dr. Akhundov is one of the rare math profs who actually prepares you for his exams through his lecture notes and examples. I wish him a long and successful career at Mac!

Great guy, his class is fair and easy if you keep you. Tho, once in a while he says one number and writes down another.

His speech isn't great, however he is a fairly reasonable professor and his tests are not too difficult. Keep up the good work Ilham!

Akhundov was the best Professor I could have asked for and made class enjoyable

Awesome prof with cute jokes. I guess the people who suck at stats give him bad ratings...its the only explaination.

He's a really good professor. He's always there to help students. Explains problems very well and his tests are very fair. He's very helpful and I recomment that you take Statistic class ONLY with HIM he's really good. His class is always fun. I took a Stats1AO3 with him and I loved it. AWSOME Prof.

I found his lectures to be quiteas useless, but the way that the course was set up was perfect for me, you do the assignments, and the test became dead easy, so, don't goto lecture, and just do the assignments. ;)

Excellent class. He tries hard to explain concepts with examples and very approachable.

I switched to his class to avoid being In Prof. Mead's section. Akhundov is great, doesn't throw up slides, actually writes examples on the board so you can follow along. Quite approachable during office hours. I think Mead wrote the exam but Akhundov prepared us well.

Dr. Akhundov is an amazing prof. He explains the concepts extremely well.

Not an easy course

Ahkundov is the man, apart from calling the class a bunch of grade 7s. Even though he isnt the best teacher, his tests are incredibly easy.. and he re uses all of his test questions from previous years.. so make sure you get a copy of those.. even his exam haha..

Free tip to software people: take 3Y intead of 3N. Not only is 3Y easier (I failed 3N), but Akhundov is MUCH better than MacDonald. He occasionally runs overtime, but the tests are doable, his writing is legible and he's less condescending towards his students.

Dr.Akhundov is an excellent professor. He is very intelligent and knows statistics upside down. He gives good lectures and demonstrates lots of examples with concepts. The tests and exams are fair if you keep up with the course. Also very helpful and patient when you see him during office hours. Strongly recommend that you take his class.

where the hell is this guy from??<<<thats what i ask myself throughout the whole class. But on the real, the man knows his stats and even though class gets pretty slow sometimes (comes with the territory, i guess) his notes are very clear and tests not so bad. Best of luck!!

For some reason, not a lot of ppl showed up to his class, but hes actually a really good prof. He'll teach you a concept and then immediately follow it up with an example to clear things up. That's rare in a lot of profs.

Dr. Akhundov is a very good man

Dr. Akhundov was amazing! Such an easy-going guy. He prepared us well for tests (which were generally VERY easy if you studied well, as they were composed of mostly practice questions) and adds a bit of humour to lectures. I hope I get him for upper year stat classes! Oh and the accent was great!

One of the best profs in the math department. Always there to help and very nice. Gives sample test and if you study everything you can do well. but you must know your stuff

Great, helpful prof. When I needed help, two hours before the test, he stayed with a group of 4 people (myself included) and helped us for half an hour after the lecture. Very nice man.

He gives fair tests and exam. Lectures are clear. The examples he gives in class are similar to the questions in tests/exam.

He's there to make sure you get a HIGH grade! You still have to study, but if you do, you're for sure going to get a good grade! And.. he's sort of funny, in his own way. lol!

Funniest prof I've had! Writing on Chalkboard and overheads was sometimes a problem, otherwise a very clear and helpful professor all in all! I recommend changing profs if you have stats and Akhundov is not your prof meaning you've got someone else!

He is a great prof. He has always offered kindly help whenever students asked at any time. He gave lots of hints and informations about his tests and exams during the summer classes, almost told us what questions are coming. His marking is fair always.

He was THE BEST PROF EVER EVER IN THE MATH DEPARTMENT. MCMASTER MATH DEPARTMENT IS A LOSER DEPARTMENT FOR LOSING SUCH A GREAT PROF AND A GREAT MAN. IT IS MCMASTER's loss and waterloo's gain that he has gone there!!!!

He was really the best Statistics Professor at Mac. Patient, kind, very knowledgable in Statistics. University of Waterloo hired him and he has gone. Too bad for Mcmaster students and it's a shame for the University to lose such a great Professor.
