I never took Calculus in high school and I still get what he is saying. He does mummble a bit, but if you sit in a front row and listen you can hear everything fine. I had him at 8am even though i was barely awake, hearing him explain math by using words like "pleasurable", "pleasant", "beautiful" etc was hilarious. I didnt think he was that hott in the beginning, but now i do, i think its a mix of the accent and he dresses really nice too.. lol.. hes definitely good looking tho, Class was alright.. :-/

Mr. Vampire Shapiro can bite my neck any time. Oh, math? Right. So this class wasn't very easy, but seeing Ilya everyday was worth it.

he knows his stuff. he teaches with just a post it. not very approachable. the class is hard. doesnt teach you how to do the homework. you have to go to his office hours to do so and he still doesnt help you there.

His tests are pretty straightforward, if you study the practice tests. I agree that the hw he assigned and the test questions are not easy, but if you take notes during class, you should definitely be okay.

Ilya seems really knowledgeable but he uses a lot of shortcuts so it's kind of hard to understand if you aren't really good at math. His midterms are mainly based on his practice midterms but the problems are a LOT harder. The tests are graded really hard and it's hard to get even partial credit. Prepare to work A LOT!!! ILYA!!

He makes this class so much harder than it needs to be! He briefly teaches material not in the book and then tests you on it. Grade point distribution is unfair!! He makes 1 problem 20 points (exam 2 had 3 of these!! can't do them? you're looking at a 40%--which is was the average was). They grade the exams really hard, little to no partial credit!

His lectures are based mainly on examples. Very knowledgeable, he only uses a post-it to teach. Uses a lot of shortcuts so at times it can be hard to understand. Midterm format close to actual tests. Some questions he makes easier, the others are more complex. Helpful during office hours. He's also pretty good looking.

Ilya is very very attractive, but not that good of a professor....which is just too bad. He seems like a nice guy, but we're almost a chapter ahead of every other class being taught right now. Practically every day we cover a new topic, which is difficult considering that our intake is relatively low of what he says.

Doing the homework helps. Also just going to class to listen helps.

This man is insanely attractive...but a pretty bad professor on the whole. His tests are hard, with a low average, but have heard that the curve is very good. He only assigns even problems in the book which makes it difficult to complete. The main benefit, he's so good looking i never had a problem staying awake at 8:00 a.m.

Overall he's an easy professor, his midterms are like his practice midterms. His lectures do not make much sense but just write w/e he puts on the board b/c his lectures have hella useful info. in relating to his tests. Basically, know his practice midterms really well and u'll pass with an A or a B. He also curves a lot

Ilya was my first Math professor in university. He was definitely challenging in a fun way, but he was also very tough.
