She's really energetic and will break everything down for you in a way that everyone can understand. Keep up with the reading and you'll do fine in class.
Great teacher. Gets along great with the students and makes class fun. Just turn in your work on time and do the readings and you'll atleast get a B. You'll leave the class a much better writer than you came in.

Bunch is a good teacher who PROBABLY enjoys what she does. Her tests are deceptively easy so beware and study EVERYTHING! She also enjoys tearing apart essays. There is an attendance policy but class is fun and goes by quickly. Overall I enjoyed.
She's the best professor I had this semester. She's very fun and passionate about her work. She's a very loud and exciting teacher-- She's GREAT!!
She talks about her personal life too much, and she gets kinda emotional. She can be funny. Her booming voice will definitely keep you alert. Tests are fair
bunch is emotional... and a smart ass.. mood swings... helps you with essays though.... sometimes ok... can only miss 3 classes
Since we talked about getting a chile pepper in class, here's one for you! Hehehe! Professor Bunch is an awesome teacher, who challenges you. My biggest advice: Read. If you don't read, you won't do well. If you study, you'll do well on the tests.
great teacher, cares about her students. challenging, but your writing ability will improve. take her, she interacts well with the students.
I really enjoyed her class even though you can only miss three. Go to class and the tests are easy. Just be prepared and you won't have any problem. This professor is a doll.
Bunch is lots of fun. She's very energetic and will definitely keep you awake. Keep up with the reading, do your work and you'll be fine
Great teacher, very clear and interesting, definitely keeps you awake at nine in the morning. Explains things well, but doesn't tolerate non-participation and will collect Lit Logs at random times, so be prepared
When it comes to class, its pretty easy, gives random hw assignments kinda reminds me of highschool, thats a good thing. ONLY 4 papers, lets u turn in drafts and do peer reviews. She is nice and doesnt make u do journals, or weekly papers. You have to participate and attend. Overall pretty good.
I like Bunch a lot. She's really helpful and she's pretty understanding about grades. You have to make sure to go to her class- she has a pretty strict attendence policy, but if you do the readings and lit logs, you will be fine.
she really helps you with your writting. i've learned a lot about argument and analysis.
You have to write four papers. Class is not too difficult but you have to show up and your writing will improve. Overall its a moderatly hard class
She's a nice lady and can take a joke but she can be boring. Some of the assignments seemed out of place in the class but overall it was good. One problem is, she has trouble spelling sometimes... worries me for an english class
Prof Bunch is such a great lady. SHe is always willing to help students with their writing. Make sure you go to class and do the readings. If you do you shouldnt have a problem. She truly is there to assist students and has YOUR best interest at heart. Do the work and you will be fine.
SERIOUSLY, go to class. She's not messing around with attendance and she is a sharp one. If you study for the tests and review the material you will be fine they aren't that hard but you do have to do the work with the reading to do well in her class.
Bunch is amazing- she makes class fun - attendance is a must! Papers are pretty easy- with the peer review and all- she is always willing to help her students and is very down to earth- i would STRONGLY recommend this class!!!!! :)
She is kind of cool, but sucks at english. Hard grader, and you always have to be at class.
IMOGENE ROCKS! She is a awesome teacher and GREAT at proofing papers!
not as wonderful as everyone says. she is loud and over bearing. picks favorites. makes you feel stupid.
She is awesome and does not pick favorites! I have missed a few classes and still have a good grade, she is great at editing papers and helping me to do the work! Do not listen to people who give her a bad review, trust me!
The class isnt hard but shes weird and rude. she DOES pick faves, so those who lover her, they're def her faves.
Professor Bunch at first comes off as kind of mean, but she ends up being super nice. As long as you show up to class and do your assignments you'll do fine. Her attendance policy is stict, but if you don't go to class, you actually miss stuff you need to know for assignments. I recommend taking her, she is a good first year college English prof.
really awesome teacher. not easy, but very clear and fun.
Shes a very interesting lady. If you go to class and read all the pieces, you should really have no trouble. Her attendence policy is a little harsh but you will get over it. Her tests are not that hard either, just making sure you comprehended the pieces and the discussions on them.
She is nice, and though she dominates the class conversations a little bit, they are always engaging. She does nit pick on essays. Though what english proffesor doesnt? She is helpful outside of class.
She is very passionate about literature and dives deep into it in this class. If you are a very literal person you may have trouble with this class. However, she is a very sweet lady, concerned with her students success. This is not a class you can pretend to do the readings for, you MUST do what she asks of you in order to be successful.
ok first of all if you dont care about pirates dont take this class. you have to go on a feild trip which is mandatory on a weekend, plus go to her class and watch movies on days that you dont hae class!
I LOVED this class! She is very clear in her teaching, and the class discussion are lively and interesting. If you're an English major, or just have an interest in literature, make sure to take a class with Professpr Bunch...you won't regret it!
Prof Bunch is a great teacher!!!! Only gave two essays for the whole semester and two tests. If you do the required readings and attend class then you will have no problem. Class is always interesting and lively. Great class and teacher.
She is a decent teacher, but slightly rude at times to other students. Thankfully, she liked me, but she tends to be a little intimidating at times. She has good and bad days, but who doesn't? I recommend her class. It's not too difficult and she doesn't give impossible amounts of homework.
Nice lady (if you do your work). Start papers early (FINAL) and PLZ PLZ PLZ follow the syllabus. She will flip if you come to class unprepared (esp. when research is due). Overall, class was interesting. Had to read "Under the Black Flag", she rarely talked about the reading, but if you didn't, you miss the facts which make papers easiest to write.
Good teacher. Make sure you have Wadsworth and follow the syllabus! Field trips are offered outside of class but they are NOT mandatory..the only mandatory one is the Mariners Museum. Take this class.
She is amazing! Funny and makes the material interesting. She's all about making sure the students are doing well individual and helps out any way she can. My favorite professor by far.
professor bunch is really passionate about her subject area which really makes her helpful for understanding the class. she grades fairly and gives good feedback. i highly recommend her class
Prof. Bunch is not a teacher I'd recommend. She's rude and answers your questions in such a way that she makes you feel retarded. Her class is easy if you do the work, but if you don't understand something you'd be better off left in the dark, because she's not going to help you.
shes really rude, and grades ridiculously hard.
Professor Bunch is awesome. She is my favorite teacher. Extremely funny and really helpful. She will make you laugh. Dont pay any attention to these other comments, they were probably just slackers. :)
She knows a heck of a lot about pirates and is extremely helpful and kind. She wants to help you and is there to do just that for you. I got sick and she gave me a much needed extension. But there's a lot of research required to do well in the course, but that's sort of the nature of the ULLC223 course. Attendance helps. Take her! She's wonderful!
She's alright. Can be very tough.
really knows her stuff. i would take another class offered by this prof.
Excellent teacher/mentor; she also teaches a class on piracy. Avoid being cut adrift by being respectful. The first three papers combine aspects of historical, modern, and theatrical piracy. The final research project is based of your individual inquiry. Bunch is well versed in piracy literature and willing to devote attention to students who try.
She is a nice lady, but the class is incredibly boring. I do not advise taking her. If you like English and have learned anything about it before this class, you will HATE this class. It teaches you NOTHING. She is very strict about format and attendance/tardiness. MISERABLE. The reading is interesting but everything else is horrendous.
Prof. Bunch is a good teacher. The class is tough, so make sure to do the readings and also make sure to pay attention in class. The tests are tough-ish, and sometimes the directions can be a little difficult to comprehend. Overall, not a bad teacher for this class.
Really nice lady who like's what she teaches. if you seem involved in the class and show attention to detail you will be fine. It's not about how well you write, it's if she likes you. On one of my essays she literally wrote.."you have low level college vocabulary.. B+." I just took the grade and smiled
The class of Prof. Bunch was fun! You are going to enjoy her class. She counts your tardies tough and checks every hw;She doesnt miss any :D she likes it when you use correct grammar and use MLA format. U'll be writing alot
Go to class and do the assignments and you will be fine. Be ready for HW EVERY NIGHT and expect her to check at the beginning of class. Don't put off the final paper and make sure when you present the paper that you practice your presentation. She counts your "ums and ahhs." Felt like High School all over again. Nice lady though!
If you don't like reading EVERY NIGHT for HW and then being quizzed on it and/or discussing it in class, DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE!! She goes into tiny details of works of literature that most people could not care about! This felt like a high school English course with the constant readings and nightly written responses to them.
I started off HATING professor bunch. Towards the end of the semester I grew to appreciate her style and liked her. It is essential that you always do the reading or you won't succeed in the class. I sometimes disagreed with her interpretations of the literature, which is why sometimes we would but heads. But ultimately, she was a decent prof.
If you're looking to have your hopes of writing a good paper CRUSHED... take her. I tried so hard on her papers, but always got a C. She plays favorites.
I loved her. She presents interesting topics and was not to difficult of a grader. She does require you to do her reading and she will know if you didn't read. She has a habit of putting people on the spot if you don't speak up so if you know about something say it then otherwise she has an uncanny talent of asking you questions you don't know.
I took her as my first english college professor and she was really great. She does her job right. You won't fall asleep in her class. Only a few papers that intrest the student. Just don't get on her bad side and you'll be fine. Not an easy A but still able.
Grades papers unfairly and final project is hard
She is wonderful! super helpful and is willing to work with everyone to have a successful semester. Compassionate and just a joy to learn from. Other teachers should aspire to be like Professor Bunch. One of the most caring teachers I have every had in college.
Awesome Professor, and an Awesome class! Its all about pirates TAKE IT she is extremly helpful and it is really easy to stay engaged in her class, I can honestly say I am a better writer because of her classes. (I had her for the Freshmen Writing as well)
Professor Bunch is tough but fair. It's been a privilege to be taught by someone with so much passion for her work and compassion for her students.
I did not like English at all until I had Professor Bunch! The class isn't super difficult, as long as you come to class often and pay attention. She obviously cares a lot about her students and wants them to do well. I am trying to get her next semester for 223!
Professor Bunch is absolutely wonderful. I had her for English 223 this May semester and she was not only very enthusiastic to teach, but proved to be very helpful. She is a fair grader and expects her students to do their work but is very understanding if/when a situation arises. Absolutely fantastic!
Simply show up, pay attention, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS and this class will be fine. Essays aren't too bad
Prof. Bunch really cares about her students' success. She gives you plenty opportunities to improve your grade. Go to her office hours. It will definitely help you out. Don't have side conversations in class-- that really bothers her. Some people think she's mean, but she's just trying to be funny and sometimes come across a bit too aggressive.
If you follow her instructions on how to write the papers you should be fine. The only thing I did not like is I would submit by rough draft to her and she would only write 2 comments on my paper then give me points off on my final paper. She likes to make jokes and tell you her life story.
she's confusing, but you can easily get an A if you show up to class and do the homework, which isn't really time consuming! and be prepared to learn about pirates!
Has a very specific idea of how your essays should be laid outformatted. God forbid you try to do anything outside of it.
Professor Bunch is a great lady she is just very specific about how she wants an essay done. She is helpful if you go to her office hours. Do the readings, turn your work in on time and participate and you will do fine.
She's very confusing and not clear most of the time. Her reading quizzes are really hard even if you do read and take notes but when it comes to essays, she's an easy grader. Overall, this class really taught me nothing and I ended up dreading going to class.
This class had me printing something before almost every lecture. The amount of homework was just unnecessary. Bunch always gave good feedback on essays. You could tell that she really took the time to read through them and tell you what was wrong. Get started on the final paper/project early to save yourself from unneeded stress.
She taught little to nothing in class. Lectures of zero importance combined with nightly readings and the satisfaction she gets out of humiliating people who make mistakes or forget to hole punch something is rediculous. Grades easy. You won't want to go, ever.
She seems very unapproachable but she is very nice if you go to her office hours. Really wants what is best for her students and their future writing abilities.
She was honestly the worst professor I have ever had in my life. Her lectures were boring and she came to class with a bad attitude. Avoid taking her classes at all costs!!!
Overall, an awful teacher. It wasn't a hard class, but her attitude made me hate it and dread going. She is so rude and criticizes almost every question someone asks, basically making them feel stupid for having a question. She barely teaches anything either, I learned more in HS english. Also, extremely knit picky and will call you out.
Prof. Bunch REALLY pays attention to detail. Follow her instructions to the T, & you will be fine. She is a little sassy so you must have thick skin to enjoy her. She is very caring, and is eager to meet outside of class. My only Prof. that actually cared if I succeeded, and I wasn't even her favorite student. Take Prof Bunch, you will learn a lot.
Her sass makes the class entertaining, but she is a very harsh grader. Visit her office hours frequently to make sure you understand what she wants in your assignments, as she isn't super clear about that. Study like mad for your reading quizzes, which may be pop quizzes. I've never printed so much for a class, hope you have a lot of print funds.
Professor Bunch's topic for English 223 is pirates, so if that doesn't float your boat, do not take the class. You have 3 major papers and a few pop quizzes at the beginning based on what you read in the textbook. She's very willing to help you with your work and provides good feedback on sources.
Professor Bunch gives clear grading rubrics for the majority of assignments but still was very harsh when grading. She gives good feedback, but there is usually going to be heavy point reductions either way. Overall the class was fine, just a lot of writing.
Prof. Bunch is an archetype for your typical college English teacher. She expects nothing but the best from you and wants you to succeed in writing in all ways possible. She gives SOLID feedback on her revisions of your essays, so you won't make the same mistake twice. Also, be ready to read the textbook, and remember to follow the syllabus.
Bunch is a great professor because she cares about her students. She seems somewhat unapproachable but she is actually very helpful, especially if you go to her for office hours. This is the second time I've taken her class and it's not hard to get a good grade if you do the homework. She also grades papers easily. Follow the syllabus!!!
Professor Bunch is, overall, a good professor but the amount of work in the class is insane. There's also a lot of speaking in front of the class, so if that's not your thing then she's not the right prof for you. She doesn't enter grades into Scholar so you're mostly in the dark about your performance all semester.
Great professor. I went into the class expecting Professor Bunch to be mean and strict, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that she was the opposite. Taking a June term with Bunch was the best decision I have made here and would definitely do it again. As long as you keep up and participate, you will love this class and Bunch.
English is not my strong suit, but taking this class with Professor Bunch over maymester actually made me enjoy an English class .
Has a very bad attitude on the daily. Thrives off of embarrassing students and God forbid you have a question because she'll not only not answer it, but treat you like an imbecile in the process. During debates she loved to interrupt us and tell us everything about our beliefs that was incorrect, even when we were told to voice our opinions.
an unfair/petty teacher to say the best. She is rude and consistently complains about you being treated as an adult despite her having forgotten about her class on occasion. She will take off points for a paper if you are a few minutes late to class. Has sent a student to use the stapler elsewhere despite a student offering them one in class.
Enjoys humiliating students in front of the class. Come's to class in a poor mood every day. Extremely strict on the attendance policy. The topic of the class sounded cool but was not worth having to deal with Dr. Bunch. Avoid taking this professor if possible.
This was the worst class ever. Prof. Bunch loves to waste time in class and give us LOTS of homework. I do not feel like I learned anything about writing tips, despite this being a writing class. She is a very unfair/tough grader, and comes to class very angry. Please avoid taking her, and thank me later.
Bunch has made me truly hate english class when I used to enjoy it. Shes a harsh grader, gives unclear assignment instructions, comes across as rude more often then not, and sasses students for asking questions. Bunch is the type of professor to yell at you for getting sick and I wouldnt recommend her to anyone that values their mental health.
I took Prof. Bunch for ENG123 and thought I should take her again for 223. Not a bad idea, as he 223 class is based on pirates, which is pretty cool. However, there were lots of papers throughout the semester, and a 10-15 page final paper at the end of the year. Prof. Bunch is a good professor, and I liked her pirate theme this year.
When I first started this class, I really disliked Professor Bunch. Shes a tough grader and seems pretty scary. However, as I got used to her teaching style I really did grow to love this class. She improved my writing IMMENSELY! It is a very paper-heavy class, but if you put in the work youll do great.
She is very rude and intimidating. Overall would never take her class again.
I took her pirate course for the credit. She assigns more work than necessary. The work for her class was more than all of my other classes combined. However, her class topic is interesting so it was not that cruel of a time. Just be ready for tons and tons of homework.
Prof Bunch is nice sometimes but can be very very rude. She calls people out in class And is not afraid to embarrass you in class. She is also a very tough grader if she doesn't like you. She treats freshman as if they have been in college for 2 years so if you have her freshman year, im praying for you.
Prof. Bunch has a fun course about Pirates, Compared to many other 223 classes I would take her again. The final paper is awesome with her bc you can use the first 2 papers you wrote. She wants assignments a certain way and will call out students stupid things they do (show up w/o hw) Dont get on her bad side
This is my second time taking one of Prof. Bunchs class, and I still would recommend her to anyone! She seems intimidating at first but she really does care about her students. The syllabus is bible so as long as you read it carefully for assignments before every class youll do fine!
Save yourself and dont take bunch. A nice enough person but as a professor she makes class hell. Her assignments are impossible to find and navigate and she didnt put a single grade in so u wont know what grade u have till the semester ends. Shes an insanely tough grader & practically humiliates students by showing mistakes to the whole class :/
Definitely one of the worst professors I have had. She is rude and humiliates her students. Extremely tough grader and does not tell her students about upcoming assignments. Please I beg you, do NOT take this class, u will regret it.
Dr. Bunch treats her students like adults-she can be extremely tough, intimidating, and brutally honest but she cares about her students My Advice 1) Attendance is key 2) Be prepared for lots of readings (and pop quizzes) 3) Work hard 4) Go to office hours for help (she's actually nice) Not an easy A but she helped me improve my writing
Gave lots of "busy work" and lots of tedious work. If you have her first semester freshman year have fun. She still treats you like you're in high school and if one person doesn't do homework she would ridicule the entire class. I love English but this professor made me hate it. Good luck.
Honestly I was skeptical to take Professor Bunch at first. She definitely starts off strict at first, and she can seem off putting, but once you get on her good side and strike conversation she's actually pretty enjoyable. She cares about her students and wants to make you a better student. Attendance matters, miss 6 classes and fail. Plus pirates.
Wow. This professor gives a TON of busy work to be done outside of class, specifically on a book that you can't even use on the final. Attendance is mandatory, 6 absences and you fail. Very assertive professor and expects highly of students. Try to stay on her good side, otherwise, she takes it out on you in class.
READ THE SYLLABUS AND YOU'LL BE FINE. She's super nice and a good teacher especially if you are interested in pirates.
Professor Bunch is tough but such a great teacher and person. She really does care about her students and their wellbeing. The class was hard but it improved my writing so much. If you just show kindness towards her and show that you care she will show it right back.
One of the worst professors I've had, I'm sure she can be a nice person outside of school. In class she's tough on students, talks about other classes and degrades how the students are doing in other classes. Act like her class is the only one you are taking and god forbid you don't have her syllabus in your head at all times.
Professor goes out of her way to insult and mock students while refusing to help students who are having a hard time in the class.
Mrs. Bunch is a decent professor. I have had not many problems with her but have seen instances in my class where she would be rude to other students who are actually trying in her class. I'm sure outside of class she is probably a nice person, but I honestly don't know if I would really want to take her again.
Be ready to work with Prof Bunch. The syllabus is the most important thing to her so you better read it or you are screwed. She is very passive-aggressive and does not respond well to questions from students. She is not the worst option but avoid if possible. She will probably scare you and make you hate English.
Professor Bunch is absolutely amazing! While she is a very tough professor in class she is an amazing human being outside of class. She cares about your well being and really just wants you to succeed. I will be taking her ENGL 223 because she is just so wonderful!
Professor Bunch is such a sweet lady, she definitely has a specific way to do things but as long as you follow her instructions and the syllabus you'll do great in her class.
Professor Bunch is an amazing Professor. She holds her students accountable which can come off as her being a little "strict" or "tough" but she is nonetheless just trying to see her students succeed because she truly believes they can.
Not a great professor, she is extremely rude and insensitive. Whatever you do don't get sick in her class or put your paper in the wrong side of the folder.
Professor Bunch is a great professor. She outlines the entire class and specifically writes out what is needed and expected for each assignment. If you complete the assignments the way SHE writes it, you will get a 100% every time. All papers are of a topic of your choice which allows you lot of room for creativity. Highly recommend her course!
Bunch is very strict on deadlines and will not make exceptions for you. She is very direct and blunt; be ready to get called out in class. She makes the course harder than it needs to be.
I felt humiliated in her class and had already heard bad things about this professor from others who had taken her before. I almost got up and left several times during the first few classes I had. The assignments were very too heavy, and the first quiz of the course made me drop. She was not very kind in general, and I am glad I could get out.
I enjoy writing very much, but Bunch has made me hate it. She is very disrespectful and calls out students several times throughout class. She treats her students like they are high schoolers.
She does not give clear instructions and expects students to already know information. For an entry-level course, this was much harder than it should have been. She can be rude and snarky when asked basic questions. I do not recommend if you do not have to take her.
She does not give clear instructions and expects everyone to already know the information. She is very disrespectful and will call you out during class if you do not do something right. Avoid all of her classes
Initially terrified of her class, I found my favorite prof. She sets high standards w/ tough love, holding us accountable with clear due dates & a strict syllabus. She treats her students as adults, some of those who take her class just aren't ready for the real world. She's enthusiastic about her course & encourages depth learning on the topic
People are giving Professor Bunch a low rating due to their inability to read a syllabus. If you don't do your responsibilities then of course she will call you out! She is a very understanding woman and encourages a lot of participation. You must attend class to receive a decent grade. Lots of homework though!
Professor Bunch is one of the first professors at CNU I've given a 5/5. She is known for being a strict teacher, and she is. However, none of the things she does are for no reason or unfair. Take it from a student who does NOT usually exceed in Writing Intensives, I have learned so much in her class and excelled in my writing skills.
The people who give Professor Bunch a bad rating are people who are not responsible and hate being called out. If you don't read the syllabus she's going to call you out. Thats college. She is one of the best professors I've had here at CNU. She taught me so many practical English lessons that I'm going to carry with me into my professional life.
If you prioritize your mental health, then don't take this class. Yes, to succeed you just need to abide by the syllabus. But this class is unbearable. She takes a very condescending tone towards students and is not welcoming towards questions. She is genuinely a bully and if you can dissosociate during class, then go for it. If not, drop the class
I loved Professor Bunch so much as a professor and would 1000% take her again. I goofed off on a few things and almost completely shipwrecked towards the end of the year with my assignments, but she was very considerate and gave me a second chance. She can be a little intimidating, but that's not a bad thing. She challenged me, and I'm grateful.
Professor Bunch's class is just about pirates. So if you're interested in pirates take her, you'll learn a lot. She is a tough grader on her papers, but this is how you can improve your writing. Just follow the instructions on how to do the assignment, and you'll do fine. Can be scary at first, but if you talk to her, she's a lovely lady.
I can confidently say that Professor Bunch was one of the best professors that I have ever had. Yes, she is an extremely tough grader but she truly cares for all of her students. If you slack off or try to cut corners then yes she will call you out; however if you read her emails and follow the syllabus you will be just fine :)
Professor Bunch can be tough, but she genuinely wants you to succeed. Stay on top of assignments and use tools like Unstuck AI to excel in her class.
Professor Bunch was probably the most passive aggressive teacher. She does give clear instructions, but kind of goes off when students don't follow small things. She can yap a lot and make sure to get your textbook before you begin the class (she wasn't happy when no one had it). She hates technology too. :/
Avoid this professor if you can. I found that she was very condescending and honestly insensitive and only cared about whether you're in class. I ended up in the hospital for two weeks and had major surgery and she didn't care at all. All she cared about was the fact that I wasn't in class. Whatever you do, you better not have a medical emergency!
Probably the rudest professor at the institution, decided to make everyone's experience taking Eng. 123 miserable.
Prof. Bunch was extremely condescending and often rude during class. She is very intimidating, but if you talk to her one on one she is less rude, especially once you get to know her. The class was fairly easy for me, but she was a harsh grader on papers and would point out the smallest mistakes. I wouldn't recommend her class.
Do you want to fail English then take this professor. There is a reason she always has seats open at the end of the semester.
The instructor seems primarily focused on attendance. The in-person classes could benefit from a more dynamic and engaging approach, as the current structure often feels less impactful. It might be more effective to explore alternative teaching methods that better facilitate active participation and deeper understanding.
Be cautious with this professor, as she tends to come across as dismissive and focused more on her own perspective rather than considering students' individual needs. The homework assignments often feel more like busy work than valuable learning exercises.
This professor is not one I would recommend. My experience left me with a negative impression, especially considering the higher standards I expected from CNU in terms of faculty quality. I had hoped for a more supportive and engaging learning environment but found that the class fell short of those expectations.
If you can drop the class, you should.
While she is a harsh grader all of her criteria are on the rubrics she gives out for every assignment, as long as you read her instructions you should be fine, she is very flexible with office hours and is open to meeting with anyone with any questions. She seems like she is very mean but she's honest and she is not afraid to give you feedback.
Professor Bunch is just a wonderful human being! She is very accessible outside of class, and even if she seems scary in class, go to her office hours and you'll find she's truly invested in your success. Do the reading and beware of occasional pop-quizzes, make sure you format all your papers properly, and participate in class.
I understand why some rate low but I feel its their own fault. I recieved As on all my papers and presentations; she wants good work and makes that clear so put effort.. but she is very very strict on deadlines. If you miss it, youre screwed. She is also VERY strict on attendance; miss too many you fail. Attandence is why I recieved a B, not an A.
Bunch would not be my first choice to take, but she cares about her job and her students. Her blunt and sometimes passive aggressive approach to teaching is something I did not care for. If you just do what she says exactly how she asks for it (it's easy) you should have no problem passing her class. I just can't say I enjoyed the class overall.
I switched into this class during the first week to avoid a brutal attendance policy in another class, and I'm really glad I did. What the syllabus says is law, and she can be pretty strict, but this honestly taught me important lessons that I can't learn from lenient professors. Once you participate and get to know her, the class is great.
These comments are unjustified, she has expectations for us as adults, prepares you for the next step, shes a very fair grader and will grade you on your work input. I loved her, just dont ask dumb questions ahaha!
Absolutely amazing professor. This semester was incredibly rough for me, and I genuinely would be failing this class if it weren't for her kindness and compassion. She gave me more chances than I probably deserved, and I'm beyond grateful for her support and understanding.Make sure to email her if you have any problems. She is ALWAYS there for you.
she's tough as a person and as a professor, you'll probably learn a lot about pirates. I'm glad it's over, don't take her if you don't have to.
She was a tough grader and wanted to do everything correctly, make sure you always come prepared for class, but she was always very caring she truly wants every one of her students to do well you just have to show interest and make sure that you don't blow off her class.
Being in her class honestly made me feel like I was back in high school. She is very boring and SUPER rude. If you ask a question or answer something wrong be prepared for her to make you feel like you are stupid. I could see how some people would be fond of her unfortunately I definitely not one of them.
Bunch is SO RUDE. She calls people out for mundane things in class and will make you feel small for mistakes. She will also flip if the class does not understand something and will treat you as if you're 5. If you aren't a strong writer coming into this class, you will likely struggle because she does little to enhance students skills.
