This professor has really easy final exam, if you do all the online work, you will get B and higher on final..

She's very good for an online prof - she's a lot nicer and more helpful than other profs and not too much of a hard marker for the final!

The Internet version of Adms 1000 was generally good. She encourages participation and if you participate, you will get your full marks. The midterm was wierd because it focused on a case study that was not really Admin/business type. Final Exam was somewhat easy and Indira is a good marker.

She is great - very informative and helpful. She appreciates creativity and ideas - do the work and you will be rewarded.

Great Prof ! Highly recomended. I took her class on a Friday morning which sucks but I still enjoyed my time in class. She makes class fun and entertaining. She is very nice. Just pay attention in class and take notes. She tries hard to involve students in class discusions which I personally like.

My favorite professor of all time. Her class is a great atmosphere to be in. I love the way she tries to involve everyone in the class discussions. She will give you hints that help on the mid term as well as the final exam. York University needs to give her more classes to teach.

I had her for ADMS2400 and 2600, and I loved her classes. She goes by the book, but she writes her own notes on the board, which explains the material from a different angle. Very modern and upbeat individual. Her tests weren't hard, unlike others said, because our class average for both midterms was 75% and usually ADMS courses have 60-65% average

Best prof I've had so far at York. Very helpful, not boring at all, likes participation, midterms and finals are UBER EASY! I hope I have her in the future for other courses. :)

She is the most crystal clear prof at York. She is very down to earth as she always brings course content back into reality and shares her experiences. Midterm and Exam are easy if you take good notes and just participate.

I left with more knowledge in HR from this class alone than most combined. Indira is motivating and charismatic! Her lectures are very interesting, she brings the material to life with her stories. The BEST professor for ADMS 2400. Take this class if you have a busy schedule and need something easy. I did not read the textbook and she doesn't use slides so I didn't use that either. She writes down terms and definitions that will be applied to the exams so take notes. Exams are easy and it is based on the cases done in class. EASY A!

Indira is pretty engaging in class. Now, she IS a bit arbitrary in dealing final grades, and therefore does unfair adjustments as it seems. But to the commentor below, no, you can't judge what kind of prof she is off of that information. You need to prove that your grade was because of her doing a very poor job.

Honestly, Indira is the BEST prof I've had in my 3 years at York. I would HIGHLY recommend her. She makes the class so interesting and talks about real life examples which makes it so interesting. You don't even need the book because every class she summarizes the chapters and writes it on the board so just memorize the notes. I got an A. Loved her

Indira Somwaru is a good professor. Her lectures were detailed and thorough. Although a bit of a hard marker, overall had a great time with her in the ADMS2400 course. I ended up with a C+ which was better than I expected.

Great teacher, however lacks knowledge outside of course material. You can tell that she is not very educated in the real life business world. Lectures were boring however she was fairly detailed in her explanations regarding theory.

doesn't use powerpoints but that is what keeps the class interesting. Exams are hard however if you do your reading, you'll be good to go! Definetly need to get in her class, all other profs for ADMS 1000 course aren't as helpful.

She summarizes all of the key information in the book with some good stories to make sure we understand the content. A good lecturer! However, for the exams, she expects you to memorize all of the concepts AND points in the book. So in your answer, you have to state ALL relevant concepts and ALL relevant points that are in the book for full marks.

Overall a good professor but I do not feel like I learned much in her class. I did a lot more memorizing for the exams that I did actually comprehending the material. Copy down anything she puts on the bored and memorize it for the exam.

Go to lectures, copy her notes on the blackboard, and study for exams and you will pass with flying colours. She's very clear and helpful. She also tries to engage with the class and her classes are never boring.

The course content was dry. However, her exams are straightforward if you write down her lecture notes, read the book and skim through lecture slides. Group work was somewhat of a disaster! Overall, even though the content for this course was dry! I still I enjoyed attending her class!

If you require taking this course, I suggest you take it with Professor Indra! She's very straightforward, no surprises on either of the exams and her lectures are interesting. Midterm and Final are both very easy. Just read the text andor her notes on the board. The group project is where you will run into trouble.

Took Prof. Indira's class this fall& highly recommend her. Very knowledgeable about the course & actually tells you what to study for exams. Midterm wasn't tough but watch out for the MC. Easy marker. Great sense of humor, very nice & honest. I have nothing negative to say about her. Would definitely take another class with her without a doubt.

I really liked her classes. She does go off topic sometimes, but time flies with her! She's funny at times too. Reading the textbook is key! Make sure you make your own notes for this lecture and from the text book because the textbook has a lot of unnecessary details.

I liked her so much for ADMS 1000 I had to take her again for OB. Smart, funny, and inspirational. The textbook is necessary for 1000, but not for 2400. She teaches other theories and concepts that make a lot more sense actually. I read the OB textbook. Quite strange how there's a formula for motivation. Nonetheless, Prof Somwaru is my top choice!

2nd time take class with her, first time 2400 and this time 3422. and she is so nice no bs, she tells whatever that gonna be on the exam, and you dont have to read the book. i took it online the lecture is really boring, but short and everything is what you need to know. love her, if she's teaching other classes im taking it for sure

By far the best prof. for Industrial relations (HRM 3422). Shes funny, smart and straight to the point. Condenses and explains materials well using PPT slides, chalkboard notes and group discussions, and also shares relevant personal stories/experiences. The group project and exams were easy. Couldn't have asked for a better prof for this course.

Indira is a great prof, I'm midway through semester and I'm glad I went with her! Shes fair and honest. Ppl below complained about the presentations taking up class but who cares? Textbook is not mandatory, tests aren't black and white bc all questions are based on her lecture in class. Shes lenient and so helpful in class and life/career advice.

Indira is a great professor; she is very clear about her expectations and how to do well in the course. You literally cannot get higher than an A in ORGS 4560 if you miss more than 1 class, because participation is worth A LOT. The only downside are the readings, which were sometimes dry but it was heavily tested in the quiz and midterm.

I took Indira for 3450, but I chose to take her again for 3422. She's honestly a really good prof online, she gave us reviews for what the final and midterm was based on so you don't have to worry about the unnecessary content in the dry boring textbook. She tells her TA markers to be fair which is so much better than the other HR profs.

The class average was around a 50%. I'm terrible at business so I had a hard time understanding material. Textbook was overly confusing but her lectures were amazing and super easy to understand. Exams were pretty tough but focus more on lectures. She tells you exactly what you need to know. Very nice and cares a lot for students.

Classes were engaging and beneficial even as an online course. The professor prepared us well for the case study exams (midterm and final). Her teaching style didn't focus on simply reciting information but also provided real-life examples which helped students apply the concepts taught. I would recommend the textbook for this course.

Prof. Somwaru is very good at explaining the concepts and theories. She is very funny as well. You don't have to attend all lectures, but knowing the basic concepts is a good guide for the exam. Make sure to attend her review sessions, she will hand out a case with multiple questions to prepare for the exam. She is a good prof overall.

A great prof and pretty engaging. Although attendance is not mandatory it is highly recommended because most ideas and information on assignments/exams are talked about in class. Exams are pretty long but are not hard if you study for them. Book is not necessarily needed either but very useful for studying for exams. I only studied for exams.

She's somewhere between OK and good. However, if you want a student-professor relationship with her, then you have to consistently participate or impress her. She keeps an open mind and encourages people to participate in a good way tho unlike other profs that just straight up tell you you're wrong. Pretty engaging and entertaining lectures.

I had professor Inidra for ADMS 1000 last sem and she was the best! As far as attendance goes, you really don't need to go to class as she just explains the slides for 3 hours and everything gets posted anyways. Super sweet prof and truly only wants what's best for her students. Course is very lecture heavy and lots of readings for sure!
