Just come to class if you dont know the material. IF you do know it and you sure you could pass her test than you are good to go. She is very easy and she explains everything, she does not leave anyone behind, but when its time to move on. you gotta move on.

Prof. Figueiras is a very dedicated professor, she's the best, i mean literally "the best" math professor in ECC..., high quality teaching skills, she wld explain stuff till we dig it...her class is fun, compared to other boring, stereotypical "math" class...i wld recommend her to others ECC....

She defines the word TEACH. This is the best prof I had since attending ECC. Everything is easy when you study, but she is great at explaining the material. She is WONDERFUL. She said in class "I hand you the class w/ a bow tie wrapped around it." This is true. All you have to do is do the work. I love having her as a prof. Easy and no surprises.

I took calc 1 and 2 with her, and hands down she is the best professor at ECC. By best I do not mean easiest, I mean that she understands and communicates the material very well. I highly recommend her.

Shes extremely clear, and if you dont understand, shell go back and rexplain where ever it is she lost you. she isnt strict, and is only there to help you. shes available when you need her. all in all , shes an ideal professor.

You will fail her class or barely pass.shes really helpful but the content she provides is way diff than tests..she will find any way to deduct points.if you're new to the subject dont take her..

Prof. Ines is always in time for class. Asks questions before and after every subject. Will go back & explain if needed. Gives extra credit tests wc really helps. SUPER CLEAR in teaching. If you fail or get low grades on a test you'll admit that it's your fault, she's just too good for you to have problems with her. She entertain W.A. questions.

Best professor at ECC, very clear grading criteria, I gave her a 4 on easiness because she does love to give out extra credit which can boost your test grade by a full letter. However because of this she will be much more strict when it comes to grading, Overall very clear and the best professor in mathematics at ECC.

professor Figueiras is a great professor! She is very clear when she teaches and she is very sweet. DO THE WEBASSIGN!!!! She will nag you about the webassign, suck it up and do it because you'll end up leaving it for last minute like I did. Love her, she is always there for her students. i was slacking and she really pulled me through and was determined to make sure i passed she even asked f that question i had in class if i was able to do the homework. made me appreciate calulus

She's very helpful and offers extra credit which many professors likely wouldn't do. It's a very difficult course but she tries to make you understand as much as possible. She will repeat or redo questions if you ask and won't get annoyed. Now that I have to take another math course, I wish I had this professor again.

we all know she is amazing. however, you need to know your basics. there were 30 students at the beginning, but only half showed up for the final. calc it self is not easy. on the other hand, she is prob the easiest and fairest of all the calc prof so far at essex. If you cant pass her, then you prob wont be able to pass anyone else.

calculos is not an easy class over all. Prof figueiras is the best way to go at this college. if she was to be teaching above calc one I woud keep taking her. very organized with the teaching. One of the best MathProfessors if I could take her for every Math class I will. The class is an easy A if you do the work. If u don't understand speak up and she would gladly explain until you get it. Attendance is not mandatory to pass but she still takes it textbook not necessary she writes everything on the board except word problems WA required

She doesnt rush through things and is willing to repeat a whole process just to make sure every one in the class is up to speed. I dont consider myself good at math especially not calculus but she made it easy for me.

She is an amazing professor I had at ECC. One of the top professors and can help you improve your grade by doing an assessment. When you ask a question, she can help you explain how to break down the problem, and she great at explaining things. I recommend taking this professor.

She assigns about 20-30 questions per section, which is good practice, but you should also be sure to schedule your time wisely. Loved her clear grading system on her syllabus. She outlines what she expects on the test scrap papers when you submit them to her, and how many points will be deducted for lates. Also very clear when explaining, too!

Will always recommend her just as she had always been recommended to me. Her lectures are well prepared and very clear. Any topic that may have been unclear was always clarified even outside of class. She is respected and is always willing to help. She makes math more involving, too. Anyone who can think otherwise must have never liked math before.

She posts the modules and gives clear instructions on what needs to be done. Gives you a week to complete all assignments, although she can give multiple homework assignments at once and a project. Overall, an easy class if you just read the material.

Prof. Figueiras has made my math class a joy to attend, and I am very excited to learn new concepts and math skills. She has a youtube video relating to every one of her lectures in all of her classes, and she uses homework to help us really master the topics. She offers extra credit opportunities for those who are not good test takers.

I do not like math and I always doubt myself when taking a test, but after taking Professor Figueiras' class, I became confident. She's organized, always on time, and willing to slow down and answer any questions one might have. She is always available during office hours and provides extra credit assignments to help you boost your grades.

She was one of my favorite professors. She provided a multitude of resources and chances to understand the work. She is willing to work with you and slow things down as long as you aren't afraid to ask. Professor Figueiras definitely cares about her students.

I took her class for Calc 1 during my time in Essex. She explained the topics very clearly. There was a lot of homework so be ready, however, it is good practice for the exams. She would hold reviews before exams so there would be no surprises either. If you get a chance to take her class, I would recommend it!

However, she is the type to complain that things were different "back in my day" which can be annoying. But if you can ignore that, she's a solid prof

This professor has her own YouTube channel , she's amazing at teaching and even recommended by all the advisors to take for math. I had the pleasure of taking her this semester for stats and she was heaven sent, kind and very responsive and grades very fairly. She makes math easy!

She made it very easy for those with busy lives, all lessons were open in advance as well.

Took her at Rutgers wished she didn't teach based on slides, but her class was easy for me personally. Quizzes are 5 questions and partial credit is always enforced.
