I got a B. This professor does her job well she teaches psychology well, and I would recommend her as a good professor to any serious college student.

this professor is not hard at all, and the class if very easy and enjoyable if the student is responsible.

If you want an easy class, don't take her. But if you want to learn, I strongly recommend her.

She is the easiest teacher in the world! She does an excellent job as a psychology professor! I don't understand why some people would rate her so low. She is the best teacher at GCC since her tests are way tooo easy!!!

she is a great teacher. everything is clear in her class. not only she teaches clearly but she makes it fun to listen. she doesnt make lots of jokes in class, but listening to what she has to say is fun. the tests are not that hard, you Must read the book

THE CLASS IS VERY BORING. SHE'S KIND OF WEIRD BUT OVERALL NICE. HER TESTS ARE KIND OF HARD. VERY HARD TO GET AN A IN HER CLASS. AND IT DOESNT MATTER HOW MUCH YOU READ THE BOOKS YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND IT TO GET A GOOD GRADE ON THE TESTS.

I had heard many things bad things about this teacher before I took her class.I admit I was afraid at first.In the end, I was glad I took her.She teaches you so much.As long as you study,you'll be fine.Of course,if you don't study,don't expect an A.

if you take good notes and do the reading you will get an A. this class is very interesting and she's really nice. a serving learning project is done in this class that i thought was really cool. i recommend this class for anyone interested in psychology.

she makes the class interesting by doing demonstrations and having group discussions. there is no homework and tests are super easy! psychology seems like the easiest major!

Ok. Seriously, if you're a dork and don't appreciate good literature and dont even try to learn, you might hate her, but prof. Thompson is a great teacher and very helpful.I learned a lot! she makes student think critically, which is exactly what you're supposed to do in college anyway!

As much as I hate this woman, her class is NOT BAD, I had worst. In 3-day/week class you have to make group presentation (I droped it), in 1-day/week-no presentation. My major is psychology and I was going on A, but got B. She is not a "sweet" teacher, but at least you'll learn smthing from her class. NOT HARD CLASS.

I was scared when I read the other ratings left for her before I took the class. However, after the first test I realized that as long as you come to class and take the notes and study them you'll do fine. She makes you think that you have to read the book but the tests are 95% from lectures only.

Copy the notes off the board/overhead, study them and you will do well, occasionally you can read the book for further clarification. If you need help she will always try to explain. Tests are based on scenarios. i.e. Bobby hallucinates, this is an example of …..

the class wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. definitely not an easy A though. take a lot of good notes and read the textbook and do well on the exams and the group projects and you'll be fine. i have to admit she's not the best at teaching but she's alright

this class isnt easy but if u actually want a teacher who teaches and is helpful then take her. i loved the class she uses class member to illustrate certain topics and there is class participation and yes the tests are hard but not impossible. work hard this is college. do the work pay attention and study... i still beleive in choice ;)

Her class is fun. shes a good Teacher. Only the lazy people who think community college is gonna be easy say she's too hard. She does her job and grades accordingly. Take her & really learn something!

Kinda easy class, a bit boring. She's nice. All you have to do is participate, read and listen and you'll do fine. It's relatively easy to get a good grade.

If your interested in psychology she is the right teacher for you. She is very clear in her teaching.

She is the bomb!!!!!!! She is crystal clear with her lectures, and her class was super fun!!!!! She is one of the best teachers at GCC! YOU MUST TAKE HER!

I wasn't sure at first, but I really enjoyed the class and Prof. Thompson. She is a hard grader and you have to be in class and read the text. It isn't an easy class. The group presentation is tough because you have to rely on others. If you show up, read the book and study like crazy, you'll pass. There is a lot of work in this class.

Prof. Thompson's class is up to par with college standard. Only those who want an easy A give her a bad rating. She not only engages you by the numerous activities, but her definitions are much more clear than the book. Read the book none the less! Show up to class, apply the definitions to situations, and you'll get an A for sure. Very sweet lady.

Grades r based on 4 tests drops the lowest test score. I think the tests are pretty easy it describes a situation and u apply the definition, unlike high school u actually use ur brain. Take good notes and READ THE BOOK..that help way better than her lecture

Thompson is an extremely easy teacher, that is if you are interested in the class. Most days I would just hear people complaining about the class, but I really enjoyed it. You just need to pay attention and read the book. Se also tends to give out a decent amount of extra credit for easy things. I would definitely recommend taking her class.

Thompson is a great professor. She teaches really well and covers test material in class, although you should def. red the modules beforehand. It's really easy to get an A in her class by just paying attention, taking notes,and reading. She offers a LOT of extra credit and the final is almost exactly the same as the tests. Thompson is a great professor! Take her class and find out for yourself :D. We had 4 tests overall and she dropped the lowest score. My test grades improved each time as I noticed that the questions were based on class notes and textbook material (vocab). The class is fun and interesting with lots of games and extra credit.

She offers lots of extra credit. Lecture notes are somewhat helpful, but make sure to read the book. Test can be tricky sometimes. Use office hours. Overall this class was fun.

This Professor is indeed very difficult. Don't think just because you are nice to her and visit her office hours that she will boost your grade. She does not care. She is heartless even though she is a psych teacher. Her tests are difficult and you do not know what to study more, her notes or the book. Very random tests. She docks off for trivial..

I am shocked at what people are saying. "she's the hardest teacher I've ever had." if that is true then good luck. thompson is EASY. and easy is an understatement. Her tests are multiple choice and she spends hours explaining things. It's impossible to fail her class. I studied about an hour before the tests and am currently getting an A+

I think it's funny that people say she's hard.. You should drop out if college NOW. She is easy if you take notes and read. I got an A in her class because I took notes and read. If you want a teacher to give you an easy A give up on life now... I'm at a UC now and I wish all my teachers were like her but teachers get harder when you transfer

UNDERSTANDING IS KEY AT THE END OF EACH CLASS SESSION AND CLARITY IS GOLDEN. I WOULD SAY THAT MS.THOMPSON GIVES EXAMPLES AND THOROUGHNESS IN LECTURE AND SHE DOES GRANT YOU THE OPPROTUNITY TO RAISE YOUR LETTER GRADE ON A GIVEN TEST. I RAISED MINE FROM "D" TO "B" ENDING THE SEMESTER WITH A "B".

Gives lots of extra credit opportunities. I had a total of 40 extra credit points which raised my grade up to an A. The material is easy, but the tests are kind of tricky. Her grading system is fair and easy. She isn't the type of a professor to connect with the students. It's all about going to class, studying for midterms & a final.

She definitely knows what she's talking about and if you don't understand it don't be shy to ask she is really lovely. No homework or quizzes just four tests and one final. Tests can be tricky but hey it's psychology it's supposed to be tricky just study and use common sense and you should be fine. Recommended.

She's not very demanding with assignments. Just 4 tests and one paper, but the tests do get very tricky. My advice is to understand (not just memorize) what you're studying because on the test she gives scenarios and you have to choose the "theory" that supports the example. I mainly used the book to study, her notes didn't really help me.

Read the Book, Attend Class, and do the Extra Credit and you'll get an A. I found the lectures interesting and when I'd get below an A on a test I went to see her and she helped me out. Really nice teacher.

Ms. Thompson was probably the sweetest teacher I've had at GCC. She has a passion for psychology and it shows. Unlike any other teacher you'll probably ever have, she offers extra credit and I encourage you to SEIZE EVERY OPPORTUNITY. It helps more than you can imagine. Reading the book is necessary, but she goes over most of the material in class.

I liked the class overall since it is for my major BUT I noticed she has this weird issue with starting class five minutes early every single time. I pointed it out to her and she just continued onto doing it again a week later. Problem with that is, she will count your paper late even if you have it at the start of class because she starts early

I'll start off saying this is a hard class BUT I have enjoyed this class. She teaches very well and keeps you interested in the topic at hand. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy class because you actually have to work to pass this class which means take A LOT of notes and read the book! Its a college course that requires work.

Professor Thompson is such a sweet woman. If you're looking for an easy "A," this is not the class. Her tests are based off of her lectures, in-class demonstrations, group discussions/ activities, and reading the textbook outside of class. She doesn't assign any homework, however reading really helped for material that wasn't covered in class.

I didn't love this class but didn't hate it. She is a bit boring sometimes but is nice. My advice to pass the class, just memorize all the vocab in book and study your notes shes not too hard!

Hands down my favorite professor. Professor Thompson's tests are practical questions where she gives you scenarios and you have to choose the one that fits the scenario (30 Multiple Choice and 1 (10PT) ESSAY). READ HER BOOK, the experiments and vocabulary words from book are on her tests. If you take good notes and ask questions you will do great!

She really cares about Psychology and providing students an interesting class. She really made things interesting with exercises the whole class could participate in.

She is a very good teacher who has her syllabus and lectures down to a T. She has interesting group assignments and exercises throughout the year that keep things fresh. Her grading system is simple: 6 tests, drop the worst grade, one short paper, and the final.

Prof. Thompson is a great prof. and her class is fun. each time I learned something interesting in her class, and it was always fun to participate in the group activity. she gives good lectures and if you have any question shes there for you. definitely recommending her for social psych.

Professor Thompson will give you a new window to look at life through. Don't worry about your grade, the life lessons she introduces in this course far outweigh the grade! Too many times we forget the lessons, while we focus on the grades. I will forever be a better person because I took Professor Thompson's course!

She's nice in a way. 4 tests(low dropped) 1 final and 1 paper worth 5 points that adds 5% to your tests scores. Honestly as long as you PAY ATTENTION and STUDY YOUR ASS off you'll Pass easily. its not that bad but it is A LOT of info. DO NOT MISS CLASS!! No hw just use that time to study & read. if its not your major I wouldn't recommend taking her

Trust me if I can do it you can too as long as you study. Ive never studied so hard but it's worth it. People who complain really just didn't care and were lazy to work for a good grade. It's hard but if you're not willing to give it your all don't bother. I would recommend to take it when you have other "easy" classes so you have time to study.

Her lectures are interesting, READ THE BOOK. Her test are multiple choice, but its not easy and a response prompt. The book she chose was very interesting and it wasn't a hassle to read. Her quizzes are easy because she tells you exactly what to read, her homework assignment are a little vague, usually had to ask someone to explain it to me.

Professor Thompson is an amazing teacher. Is her class easy? No (it's college, duh!) Will you learn? Yes! She is really passionate about psychology. If you are having trouble, just go to her office. She will take the time to make sure you understand. Her lectures are really interesting. Easy to do well on the paper if you follow directions.

she's a great professor with great lectures and if it wasn't for her hard test i would love to take her again. i really loved her class and she really makes you learn, as well as her grading system is lower the other professors, if you have the time i suggest to take her.

I loved the way Professor Thompson taught 104. The class was engaged and productive discussions were encouraged. Exams were fair, multiple choice+essay question. She is very accessible outside of class. I encourage you to take her if you are a psych major and are serious about learning the content and aren't just looking for an easy A.

I am sure glad I didn't pay attention to some of the reviews on this site before I signed up for her class. Complain about the grade you got on the paper? Then you didn't take advantage of her offer to review the paper before submission. Can't follow her lectures? Don't understand that one. She is very concise and clear and patient with students.

Took Psych101 over the winter session. Initially the first exam and the reviews on here absolutely terrified me, but please stick it out! Her lectures are quite clear and you truly just have to take good notes. 4 exam (100 pts) each and 1 paper (100 pts) and she drops the lowest exam score. Kahoots for extra credit! She truly wants you to succeed!

One of the best instructors at GCC. Online lectures are short and concise. Take detailed notes from lectures because unlike other students said, tests have a lot of info that comes from lectures. I did not put too much time into the book and focused on her lectures, and got an A. Email your paper early. She reviews it and gives helpful suggestions.

Honestly she is one of the best professors I have ever had. If you want to pass her exams then watch her lectures and take word by word notes and study off of them. The subject is extremely interesting so you will enjoy. Also read the book because she asks questions on the exam about it but focus mostly on lecture notes. She grades easily and fair.

She is one of the best instructors at GCC. Her online classes are well organized and everything is broken down into manageable chunks. Always willing to help and responds fast to emails.

If you want an easy A and don't care if you learn anything, take one of the part time instructors that don't really know what they are doing. If you want to learn, but work to earn your A, take prof Thompson. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. You will have a strong foundation if you are a psych major, but she challenges her students.

Prof Thompson is incredibly knowledgeable and she provides excellent lectures for each lesson. I appreciate how organized she is and how she has clear guidelines to be followed. But, this was not an easy class and you will have to work for that A. There were 2 midterms plus the final at the end of the course. Pay attention to her lectures!!!!

Glad I did not pay attention the negative reviews. The workload and her expectations are very typical of GCC instructors. What sets her apart is her willingness to help. All you have to do is ask and she will gladly review any assignment before it is submitted. Listen to the lectures, read the book, and study sufficiently and you will get an A.

Took psych 101 online but 104 was in person. Both were very good, but in person was definitely better. Fun activities, great discussions. She is always happy to give any extra help you may need, all you have to do is ask.

So glad I took the in person class. The class had a lot of fun activities and discussions. Professor Thompson really challenges you, but you will learn so much!

Her class was vey fun and interactive but her gaming is very tough. The exams include things that was to part of the lecture. If you want to do well in the exam you have to read all the additional textbook pages as well. Long as you do that and take good notes you will be fie. Her grading scale on the bright side is very forgiving.

Sometimes a tough grader, but if you watch the lectures an A is attainable for sure. She is really caring and wants to help, I would recommend this class.

I took her for 8wks and her writing assignments weren't difficult, BUT she is a tough grader so if you did not write everything you needed to write it was points off. The midterms were hard, but the final was easier. Pay attention to her lectures it'll be a life saver.
