Great instructor, makes this course relatively easy, bonus questions on tests.
Great teacher. She is very nice and cool. She gives bonus questions, and extra credit. By the way not all the questions count on the test- so its easier to make a good grade. I recommend her.

Awesome teacher!
I am planning on becoming an economics major, but this teacher is terrible!!! Her class is a piece of cake and recommended only if you want to learn absolutely ZERO!!
This Instructor is very thorough with the information. She is more than willing to help her students. Its doesnt hurt that she is attractive too
Nice teacher. Tries to explain the best she can. Gives extra questions which can help you on the tests. Yet had only one lecture a week which is not recomended for those who think Economy is a difficult subject.
Great teacher!!!!! Really knows her stuff, and explains it very well. Fun Class
This teacher is the best. She is very into the class, she goes more than out of her way to help you inside and outside of the class, is very clear, and makes economics very interesting. I would recommend this teacher again and again.
She is a very nice and funny teacher: ) Personal, and is willing to help you!
Lectures are fun & easy. She goes over a calculation but her test is completely diff. She expects you to go over book, study guide, her notes and the home work (1 h.w per exam). Material is not hard. She does not make her own test. Her tests are from book author’s test for teachers. That’s why he exam and class lectures are completely different. In
I would not have understood this class without this professor. She explains everything thoroughly and classes are rarely boring.
In her lecture she gives you everything that is going to be on the test... and she is pretty hot too
great teacher. u'll like her. materials are well explained.
I took her online class last semester and she's a wonderful professor whom has a kindheart, too! I don't remember how many times I got disconnected from my connection in the middle of my hw or test, and without her help, I would have fail already.
Always on point and well organized.
Good Teacher
Awesome teacher
She writes the test for this class! So the homework, and online test are exactly what to expect on the exams. SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER!!!
clear, concise. She reads students well, and recovers material as needed, but when things running smooth gets them out in timely manner.
Awesome!!! Let's you out early everyday and makes it short and sweet. Got to study, but she makes it bearable
She was very easy and pretty hot. I didnt even own a book. I just borrowed one from the library literally a total of 4 times, and that was only for the homework. If you do the practice tests and understand them you WILL do good in that class. I easily obtained an A+ in her class. Just do the practice test until you are confident how to do the ?'s
she came over to my house and we had a candle-lit dinner, i made pasta with Alfredo sauce, we then watched Date Movie on my flat screen, i said goodnight, she was a stand-up gal
Very Nice. Great teacher
Ms Zandvliet is an incredible professor!!! I'm so glad I had her for Micro. She is clear, organized and very fun. Always answered all questions I had. =) Take her for any of the several classes she teaches and you will be glad you did!
She is very nice, helpful, the test are exactly like the reviews..She lectures very well and tells you the information you really need to know..I hate History and with her help I got an A and learned a lot..I would recommend her to everyone.
This teacher is amazing. If you need help she is always available. The class is organized, the lectures are clear. She is great. The last person who wrote is angry and obviously did not study enough.
This teacher is cool as hell....she knows her stuff and is really easy and laid back!
Ms. Zandvliet is a really nice, cool teacher. You will enjoy the class. She always explain clearly and answer any question you might have. If I were to rate this professor from 1 to 10, I would give her a 10.
I took the class online for winter term 09. First of all let me say Economics is not an easy subject, especially when you're practically teaching yourself. She is not quick in replying to e-mails, had to e-mail her twice. Basically it was read the chapters, quiz for chapter, and test for chapter. I do not recommend taking this class as flex online.
Ms. Zandvliet is awesome. she is very clear on the subject matter. The tests are almos the same as the review. Take the online practice test, it will help you so much. She knows Economics very well. I never skiped a period and did my work, so do your work and you will pass. I got an A. Loved it!!
She is an ok instructor. Knows what is in the book but is weak on real life. You can get a good grade by doing the minimum. I got an A without much work. Just be nice to her and you will do great.
Very inconsistent in here rules. Favors some over others. Consider taking another instructor.
I took her macroeconomics class and received a B. You have to listen to her talk about herself a lot. Forget about office hours as you will seldom find her. Did not hold class several times.
She is a great professor, and goddamn she's hot too. Even if you don't like economics, you'd have something beautiful to look at each class.
I may not agree with all of the comments but she is a good enough instructor. I had for econ 2301 but if you are going to take this course I would take it from another instructor where the book is a lot less expensive and material is a lot, lot easier.
You should take economics from another instructor. She will not return emails and is seldom in her office. Take one of the guys.
Do not take this class online. The homework and tests are very difficult. She does not reply to emails, post grades on time and does not help, study guides not provided. I guess she is different if you take her in person. I am an A student got a C; I would not recommend this class. Everything is through McGraw-Hill Connect.
Do not take this class online. The homework and tests are very difficult. She does not reply to emails, post grades on time, does not help, study guides not provided. You will be better off with other instructors.
Principle of Economics starts tomorrow. I ALREADY WANT TO RIP MY HAIR OUT. She is no help, nor does she seek to become helpful.
If possible, take Mr. Hooten for Macro and Micro. I hust finished taking Micro from Mr. Hooten and I learned more about economcis in one week than I learned from Ms Zandvliet in the whole semester.
Wonderful teacher
I took her online class, and oh my, she didn't make it clear that the grade of the assignment and problem set will be record on the first attempt, while it also said that I can take it as many time as I want on the system. This professor has a problem with her clarification. I'm almost through with the semester and thinking about dropping it.
She is a very good professor, she is clear and concise and easy to understand. Also has a sense of humor and easy to work with. If you do the practice tests, you pretty much know the whole test
This professor is the WORST professor I've ever taken. She does NOT respond to e-mails, she does NOT give you lectures it's basically a "here's your assignments this is when it's due". She does not post grades timely, do NOT TAKE HER. I plan on complaining to the school about her.
Worst professor, she takes for ever to answer emails, and is not clear in her announcements. She is not help full, take economics at another campus. Most of the class was lost and very confused.
She is really bad. Avoid if possible.
I suggest you avoid if possible She will make you take an online course at the same time but I found out that it does not transfer the Kansas State. There is not book and you learn nothing. My navy benefits will not even pay for the course.
Great class
Ms Zandvliet is a good professor. She is very helpful. Class subject does require studying.
Nice lady. Terrible teacher
I do not recommend her. She gives no help outside of class and can never be found. She also has a class you have to take at the same time which is 1301. This class is really of no value. I checked with another campus and they think it is a silly course and they do not require it. Avoid her and try another campus.
One of the worst teachers I have had. Try to catch her by phone, email or in her office!I will leave it at that.
I have no idea why there are negative reviews. I absolutely LOVED her class even at 830 in the morning! This woman made me want to major in ECON! ;) She is wonderful & funny. Economics in general is challenging but she did great job explaining. I suggest TAKE NOTES. Anything and everything she writes on the dry erase board will be on the test!
Just dropped the on line class. Will take it from someone else.
This was a bad experience for me. The instructor is impossible to communicate with. I would never take her again and other students seem to agree.
The professor disliked that I began and completed the class early. She won't reopen a test if the server fails. She took down the final while I was taking it. Email communication was poor. Her discussion board grades were biased against me due to the wording I used. I do not recommend this professor at all. Take it with someone else no matter what.
Professor never replied back with a serious concern. In addition, he never completed grading until weeks after the semester giving me the impression I passed with an A. Thus, resulting in a bad grade and needing to retake, when I could have withdrawn.
I would go to another campus for economics.
Great professor. Makes the class interesting, and the lectures are great. You actually get to learn. The grading criteria is clear, no extra credit. But otherwise she's just a great teacher, and I had fun while learning econ.
I do not think she like to teach. If you do not like the class a plus is you usually get out early and sometimes she will not have class. I do not recommend.
She lectures very thoroughly during class. So, attending is really important. She always reviews the subject matter for the test. The final is optional based upon your grade average. You can use the final to replace your lowest grade.
Inconsiderate and rude. Tests are hard and make up a majority of your grade. "Even in the event of server issues the assignment cannot or reopened and will count as one attempt. " Often takes days to a week to respond to emails, ignores questions, many typos on the tests yet won't give even partial credit for those problems. Would not recommend.
never ever take her econ class. She never ever check any paper. all she does is give D, E, or F randomly. i have never seen any professor like her in my life time. I hate her class.
A few students thought she was ok but I was not one of them. I would never take her again.
I took her in the first summer semester and got very little out of her class. I attend a university and am here for the summer. Even though I received a good grade, I want to major in economics so I will take this course over at my univerrsity. She teaches to a grade school level and gave away grades. If you want to learn, do not take her.
Very friendly, if you have a question she will answer, expects hard work
has very good examples and requires studying but is very helpful!
I dropped the course. Take someone else.
If you want to learn economics, take someone else. I just finished the class and got a good grade but learned little. I will retake the course at my regular college. The class was loaded and was very easy so that everyone probably passed.
She will not give you any help when you ask..
All of the things in the tests are actually from the notes, I dont remember opening my text book that much. The final questions are similar from the tests that you give, so you might try to memorize it as you are not getting the questions back. NO extra credit !!!!! Ask her questions and she will reply with a smile, dont get scared and ignore
Exams cover a minimum of five chapters; next exam covers six chapters and questions are asked that we haven't even studied yet. No extra credit, and exams are timed at 80 minutes instead of the usual 90 minutes. It's not enough time. I would not recommend this professor.
Tests aren't that easy, you wont find it over the net. Syllabus consists of discussion boards, 1 research paper, 3 tests & 1 final. Tests cannot be repeated. Does have extra credit for 10 points only. Final questions are right from previous test questions so copy them down somewhere. If there is connection problem during test dont expect any help
Her lecture's are straight to the point and tests are easy as long as you listen in class (and take notes!).
Love her! You have to actually show up to class and take notes for it to be pretty easy. Her lectures are interesting and funny and she engages with students in lecture.
take another professor, truly you are teaching yourself . The test are limited 80 minutes and long questions. Not enough time , you can only take them once.
Very insensitive if you have an emergency not matter what kind dont expect her to care (even with documentation).
75% of test, 15% for writing assignment, 10% attendance . Test are mostly from review she shows in class. Easy to understand. Take notes and listen to her present minded. Essay are from notes.
She is very knowledgable and goes over the information you need to know for the test. The way she explains things makes it easy to understand, don't get me wrong, you do have to study but she provides all the information in the notes she wants you to take about the class. The review has very similar questions to the ones on the test.
She don't tell you specifically whats a grade and whats not. She says some of it isn't a grade and then she adds it to the grade book. Terrible teacher.
Great prof. Breaks the information down for you and prepares class very thoroughly for exams. Highly reccomend.
There weren't enough reviews about this teacher, so I wasn't able to do much vetting. Yes, I regret taking her because she doesn't have a clear grading criteria for her essay. She gave me a 70% on the only writing assignment because my graph wasn't specific enough. She's also inconsiderate, so beware.
Prof Z is an amazing teacher. I took her class for dual credit. She teaches amazingly. Her tests come direct out of her notes but you still need to read specific topics just before exam. All tests are easy (no rocket science) as well as her writing assignment is super easy and just need to focus on her instructions. Now I am taking her Micro-econ.
2nd go around; had her lecture class the 1st time - she may know the material, but her "style" of teaching is terrible. NO extra credit lwhatsoever; Online Unit Tests are less to nothing like what's in the textbook, practice quizzes, and the additional supplementary guides. Having tech issues or computer crashes, she WILL NOT REOPEN IT.
She was my professor for ECON 2301 last semester and I knew she had to be my professor for ECON 2302. Her lectures are great, she does NOT go over slides but instead she uses the board to write notes and draw graphs. The way she teaches makes the class interesting and enjoyable. She interacts with the class and makes sure we understand the material
Tests are super specific, and irrelevant to teaching actual economics concepts.
Her lectures are interesting and very helpful for the tests. She doesn't like people who slack off or make excuses but if you show up and study you will do well.
Shes an easy grader when it comes to essay. However, her tests are heavy. Because the test reviews are too broad that makes the tests are difficult to get an A (or even B). Wish she could give a narrower test review. She uses board instead of slides. So if you dont come to class, you miss what were going on. I dont like that. But, shes nice :)
I honestly hated taking her class, if I do again I wouldnt hesitate to drop it. Not only are her lectures too fast but she tends to explain the criteria really badly therefor leaving you clueless. The way she carries herself in class is just terrible and test are 80% of your grade so its hard to pass her class. Shes also kinda rude so good luck
Alot of the testing material is not covered in the lectures
She doesn't count homework to help with grading, but you must complete the homework to understand the test. Some of the question on her test didn't match the material in the book so the dates didn't add up so you end up getting a wrong answer. She won't a community with you when you bring it up to her. Her final is on 20 chapters and it's timed.
Terrible teacher! The tests are so difficult. There is not enough material to study for the tests. Furthermore, the grading criteria is so strict.
Don't take any class from this professor. All the Quizzes and Exam on Lockdown Browser with 30 Question in 40 minutes and have no info and sources on the internet to find. No document to read even online class. You will fail or get the bad GPA as the best you do. It is excessive to read every question so long and understand in more than 1 minute.
There is not enough information available about Unit quizzes and other exams in this class. Basically we are a given a book and told to go and figure out everything on our own in a four week class. There are no quizzes at the end of each chapter but instead Unit quiz after each unit. On top of that no practice materials available.
Not putting in my final exam grade. Offended that Im emailing her? So she cheats my grade?
In her online class, she does little to no communication with her students and does no teaching herself. Her tests have very specific facts that are not always mentioned. Takes unnecessary points of when getting a minor mistake on problem sets. Takes points off of something that she didn't state beforehand. You don't learn much in her online class.
Simply put, very insensitive and stubborn. Won't admit to making errors in grading and will turn it on you. Tests don't really relate to textbook or ppt that's posted so basically your on a path to fail and your on your own. Don't take this prof, waste of time and effort.
I made a mistake submitting one of the home works. I did all my work, everything, and turned it in on time! By mistake I submitted it incorrectly, I proceeded to inform the professor, and emailed the home work just to make sure. The professor did not accept it and gave me a zero answer even though I did my work and turned it in TIME!!!
HORRIBLE! Basically a self-taught course and prof. isnt helpful. Hours of textbook reading a day. Quizzes every week, so very little time to read and study. This would not be a problem if READING THE TEXTBOOK AND STUDYING ACTUALLY HELPED! No matter how hard you try, still hard to pass. Wouldnt recommend if you want to actually learn something.
Took her class last summer, hated it. Long boring lectures and can be rude. Goes on long tangents about random things. Tests do not correspond to some of the things she says. Tells you to buy the textbook but only half of what you read is on tests. Tests can include things not in lecture or textbooks. Grade is made up of tests and attendance.
I'll focus on 3 areas. first, I didn't like how the lass was completely online, but there was not even one zoom meeting where we could talk to her. Secondly, in the tests and quizzes some questions you wouldn't know if you just read the textbook. She was also passive aggressive in her emails. This was my first college class, so maybe this is norma
I took this class in a 3-week mini. It was the toughest class ever! I emailed her and she would not respond. 15days in, I had to WDraw because I had a 70 Average and just the final left to do. I took the same class with another professor in a 5-week class and it was still a lot of work, but I got it done in 3weeks with a B+. do not take her.
Please please whatever you do, do not take this teacher. save yourself the tears, this professor does not answer emails, does not help at all, and got mad that we made a group chat so we can help each other out. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and we had NO support from the professor. Please save yourself go with someone else.
Do NOT take this Professor!! She does not respond to emails and does not help her students at all! You will have to do all the work yourself and you would think that she would be helpful considering the current state of our world right now but she is inconsiderate. I 100% recommend that you take another Professor.
I could rate this class a 0 If I could. This professor does not reply to emails and is very harsh on grading even if you ask for help! You basically teach yourself throughout the whole course from a book. By any means avoid this professor if you want to really learn something.
I took her class over the summer and after finding out about this website I had to put in my two cents. I didnt speak to her very much over the course but when I did have to it was over conflict which could have been resolved but she refused to get to any resolution. Was very passive aggressive in her emails and did not help the one time I asked.
The WORST professor I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating this professor isn't like any others I've had in the past. She doesn't reply to emails, is passive-aggressive when responding to those emails. As a professor, it is your job to help and educate your students in any way you can. She did the complete opposite I wish I could rate her a ZERO.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HER. I had to turn it in an assignment and that cost my grade. I used two websites to help me with the problems which I also put them on my paper and then she sent me an email saying I was copying from another student LIKE WHAT? AND THEN SHE FAILED ME. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HER PLEASE !
Instructions were unclear
Terrible. I'm a dual credit hs student and she was unresponsive and didn't care about our grades or our well-being. Virtual but no meetings and she sent us to a different prof for office hours, tests were way too specific didn't teach at all Didn't curve anything even though the average was horrible. Had to drop it bc was hurting my gpa. deserves 0
She is the worst Professor I have ever had in my life. Extremely tough grader, insensitive to personal issues, doesn't respond to emails fast enough, I wish I read her reviews. Whatever you do do not take this class with her. I was so close to failing. All quizzes n tests are timed so beware. DO NOT DO IT
I personally have never dropped a class before in all my semesters, until now. The work isn't difficult at all but the grading criteria and lack of communication made it harder for me to stick it out till the end. Rarely emails or communicate throughout the semester and has only four assignments which makes it harder to pass. 0/10
Professor Zandvliet is super understanding and a great lecturer. I will be honest, I don't use my textbook, but that is because her teaching in class is sufficient. As long as you take notes you will be fine on the tests. She gives four assignments and four tests, so it's not stressful for her students. She is a super considerate grader.
First off I took Econ2302.202. She is super nice as a person. She welcomes questions and thoroughly answers them, and makes sure you know what you're talking about before you leave. She doesn't reference the book almost at all, but lectures on concepts from the book and she modifies them to her teaching style. The book helps a lot in the class.
I took this class in the fall semester of last year and it was great. She would teach her lessons in a way for everyone to understand and it made economics easy. I recommend her in person classes that way you get more of an understanding of ECON.
wow I don't know where to start. SUCKS as a human being, Passive-aggressive email responses, Doesn't teach (expect to read & teach yourself), Gives no explanation for grades, Asks you to ask questions and then gets mad Has some sort of superiority complex where Prof Zandvliet thinks its a great pleasure to have control over you
his assignments arent bad but he is the most inconsiderate human ever! I went to the ER and he wouldnt let me take the final I missed for even a point! I emailed him and he seemed upset about me not taking it earlier. then the last grade he put in purposely gave me a 90 so my average could be a 69. don't take him if you want someone understanding.
Ima keep it short and simple here. A little too strict, and the assignments are okay. Tests are short but also have a little too short time limit. The summer course with Inske is a bad experience to have. My dad helped me more to pass this class than the professor. If you want to have a bad experience then don't take this professor.
Never in my entire scholastic career have I met anyone with such little sympathy for anyone. The sheer lack of effort that she puts into online classes compared to the amount of effort she expects out of the students is astounding to say the very least. A request for any assistance or elaboration on anything she assigns is met with apathy.
Most uncompromising teacher ever. Grades work with minimal feedback, & even then a good portion of it is input by test software. Throws textbook at you; occasional reminder about due dates. Quizzes are 35 minutes for 30 questions, to analyze data & compute (random little facts from book interspersed), w/ no references/pointers on what to focus on.
Lots of time to do work
doesn't care about online classes: acts like every student just cheats and artificially tries to simulate a bell curve for his class. Great example of economics not being apart of STEM because he can't handle proofs by inspection, as in, thinks of his field being tremendously more difficult than it really is.
Take good notes and make sure you know your graphs. Professor Zandvliet will only test directly by definition from the text. She is personable and will answer any questions you have.
Took this class for the 16-week semester. The professor doesn't really communicate that much with the students. You are pretty much left to fend for yourself. The first week, the professor emails everyone about the deadlines, then, they end up ghosting everyone and you are supposed to look at the syllabus for due dates. Found that out 3 weeks in.
She behaves worst to the international student, she only gives priority to the native learners and she talks out of topic all the time. She never helped to clarify the topics. its too hard to study with this professor. I wish no one gets agressive professor like this iam gonna drop her class right now.
She's very sweet and really cares about her students. She gives discussions and assignments which are easy hundreds. Her tests are timed, so you have to work quickly. She does a review for her final exam and if you take good notes, you should be fine. I took her for weeks so it was very fast paced.
Very passive-aggressive in emails, the worst grader I've ever experienced throughout my college career. Doesn't specify instructions on how she wants her papers for her "unit problems" and took full points off for restating questions on the paper. Barely any assignments so it's hard to keep grades up, especially if she grades so hard...
She very rude in her emails and is not very understanding with extra work or redo work no matter what. She does not care about her students and is just trying to finish the year will never take her again even if i really needed too and heavily recommend people not to take her either.
What a waste of time & energy! Terrible professor. Syllabus states "attendance will be monitored". Nothing else. I missed one class (all tests and homework current with 80%) and she dropped me from the class with no warning. Her email was rude and unprofessional. TCC was no help.Any school supporting her should be ashamed. Terrible representation.
She is an okay grader, she doesn't really explain why you got something wrong when grading. She isn't willing to cooperate with you or anything. The only thing about the class is just do your work and you should be able to get by with an A. Howeve
The class is challenging, but using unstuck ai alongside the textbook can help you stay on top of the material. The professor is hit-or-miss, so be proactive about getting the support you need.
She went off on tangents a lot every lecture. In the beginning, a lot of people showed up for her lectures, but near the end, there was maybe one quarter of who many people showed up in the beginning. Even though the class was in person, the tests were online. And there where 12 things that your grade was derived from, for a 16 week course.
Run away guys! Especially if you are international student. Are those assignments or theory of relativity?
I only took this class to get the credit, so I didn't care as much about my grade, but if you lock in it should be an easy A. Took AP Macro in high school and Micro in college, so the course was fairly easy for me. Highly recommend taking Professor Zandvliet!
Avoid taking this professor if possible. This professor avoids basic respect for any student and speaks incredibly condescendingly to them. She takes her course far too seriously and expects far too much for the work she puts in. Incredibly bad look on Dallas College.
She was okay. Graded on very few things. Is not helpful at all over email—quite rude honestly. If you have a question, she probably won't answer it. Just do your work and use additional support and you'll be fine grade wise.
I took dual Econ with professor Zandvliet, and she was okay, but not amazing by any means. She didn't respond to any of my emails, but the assignments were easy. Just do the assignments and use some outside help, and your grade will be fine. If you're taking an online summer class like I did, you have nothing to worry about.
