In my college career I have never had a teacher like her. She is caring and wants students to learn. Although, her class is "hard" to the average student those of you who like challenge and want to learn....take her. SHE IS THE BEST!!

the only reason i gave her a low clarity score was because there is a major language barrier, i don't know why nobody else put that, but it's really hard to understand her. She is very nice and let me slide once when she caught me doing something on a test.=)

Hands down the best math teacher, out of 3, I have taken at PBCC. The course is a fair amount of work, but for 4 credits it's supposed to be. Her speaking is perfectly clear, no idea what the one person was talking about on here. Very sweet, knowledgeable professor. THE BEST!!! I strongly suggest against taking calc2 & physics at the same time.

She is very approachable, she is very helpful, and when she is aware that you are interested, she can be lenient. She is the type of professor who will stay besides a student until he or she finally gets the point. She brings real life experience into her class.

Ms. Rosenthal is a nice lady but she talks WAY too fast and is hard to understand sometimes. I will say though, that she truly wants her students to learn, so she will never have a problem explaining something if you ask. I had a hard time towards the end of the class, but overall, she's a cool lady.

Greatest teacher!!! By far the best math teacher I have ever had. Tells you everything you have to know for the test. Gave us formula sheets to use on the test. Taught a lesson and then we got in our groups and worked on what we just learned. No need for HW. She really knows how to teach. Always smiles. Always in an upbeat mood. Take her for stats.

Without a doubt, Professor Rosenthal is one of the best math teachers that I have ever had the pleasure of taking. If you want to learn Calculus and have fun doing it, then you have to take this professor. Took Professors calc II online course. Prof. material, notes, and discussions provide plenty of help. Should have good dsl connection (video lectures to stream or download). Prof. provides test reviews - expect similiar test questions but not the same as review. Course site is easy to navigate and syllabus + homework assign. given in beginning term

This is for MAC2311 online. I loved it. Class is easy is you keep up on a weekly basis. Teacher has videos, plenty of study material online, and always answers questions promptly and clearly. This is my first online class I had a great experience and I am taking her again for MAC2312. Take her!

Great Teacher!! All of the notes are online so you can focus on what she is teaching, no homework, only online quizes to keep you sharp and allows group study time each class. I highly reccomend taking her. I easily got an A+ and I have had to take algebra 4-5 times. Just show up, pay attention and study... its a breeze.

Professor Rosethal was a very good teacher. She gave group activity work sheets in class to help with problems on top of the homework from the book. She also gave reviews for all the tests! Great teacher.

This is for MAC2312 online. I had her for MAC 2311 also. This class is hard Calc II you will have to keep up on a weekly basis. Prof Rosenthal has videos, plenty of study material online, and always answers questions promptly and clearly. I was able to study anywhere anytime due to videos. Everything she teaches is on test no curveballs. Take her!

She explains everything completely, gives lots of supplemental material, plenty of EC oppurtunities, tests/ quizzes are super easy and she gives ANSWER KEYS to all quizzes so you can check what you did wrong. Great professor. Always wanted to help, curves her grades a lot. Always returned emails within a reasonable time. Sometimes hard to understand, doesn't look you directly in the eyes, but her teaching is understandable. Never used textbook and always participated in class. Attendance is taken everyday. Easy A!

Took her in the summer for Statistics. This Professor is AMAZING! She is so helpful and has sutdy guides for all her test. There are quizzes everytime you learn the new material but they are exactly like what she taught. Test are hard but if you study & keep up with your quizzes you will do great! I got an "A" in the class!

One of the best professors I've ever had. Great attitude, absolute knowledge and great teaching ability. There are only 2 things that I dislike about her class, she omits key comments, like dx in the area of a curve and 3 tests are not enough for that much info.

If you read the comments below me they honestly speak the truth about this professor. When I first got this class someone said "don't take her class she is HARD." I am so thankful I never listened to them. She is by far the best math professor I ever took. She isn't easy, no. So if you want an "easy" A, you won't get through her class slacking. This Professor is worth her weigh in gold. Her explanations are very clear, when teaching she is so passionate, and a very caring personality. If you want to learn how to do calculus and what calculus actually is, I recommend her as a professor. I have taken MAC2311 & MAC2312 with her, and if she is teaching it in the fall, I am taking MAC2313.

Professor Rosenthal truly cares about her students learning the material. She is approachable and willing to help all her students. Also, she gives plenty of worksheets/homework to reinforce concepts and her exams are reflective of the assignments. I enjoyed having her as a professor and I would strongly recommend taking her class!

Took her online class in spring 2012. Fantastic teacher. Bought textbook but never opened it after 1st week. Her notes and lecture videos are all you need to ace the class, provided you study hard and keep up. Highly recommend!

She is also highly accessible either on campus or by e-mail. I would recommend her for every class she teaches.

Ira Rosenthal is the best calculus professor you could ever ask for. Her willingness and vocation to teach calculus is just flawless. She explains the mathematical procedures of the topic she is dealing with and the logic behind it. She gives a meaning to the word "Professor". Such a pity most professors lack her quality and effectiveness.

Even though this class was online, I really enjoyed it. I got to learn so much about physics and calculus. Never felt like I wasn't attending an actual classroom because professor was readily available. Everytime I sent an email, she responded within 1 hour or 2. She is really nice too and would definitely take her again and recommend her to others

Fairly hard class, made harder by the way she structures the test. But I cant picture myself taking this class with any other professor, she is very good. Word of warning though, she has a relatively high pitched voice, which can get annoying after a while.

Excellent professor. I took her for both Calc 1 and 2. She has videos of all of her lectures available online as well as group activity sheets which are basically practice problems much like what you see on the test. In addition a very thorough test review was always provided. I wish I could take her for diff eq and calc 3, I would in a heart beat.

She explains the lesson clearly and does plenty of examples to make sure you understand the material. She offers ectra credit for the test study guides for points on the tests, definitely do them, it not only helps your understanding but the points help too!

She's an amazing professor who wants everyone to do well. Do all the homework and assignments and you will be fine. Her tests are brutal, just make sure you do everything she gives you!!!! I hadn't so I didn't do as well as I should of. If you want a university level kind of class, she's the one for you.

Statistics is a hard class, but Prof Rosenthal made it very easily understood. She takes time and explains it slowly and efficiently till u get it. She provides notes, lectures (videos) and group activities online and they really do help. Don't skip cuz you'll fall behind, but she tries to help u catch up. Only reason I got a B was cuz I was lazy

Prof Rosenthal was a great professor. Yeah, she does give you work but she makes sure you understand it through many examples and online videos. the best I've ever done in a math class was in her class. I would deffinetly reccomend her especially if you plan on taking higher maths than trig. She loves to teach and is super nice and fair. A 6 week summer course is not easy regardless of the teacher but she makes it as easy and bearable as it can be. Loved her.

Professor Rosenthal is one of the best math teachers I have had in awhile. I took this as a 6 week summer class and regardless of any summer class there is a good load of work but she makes it pretty easy and is very consistent with making sure everyone understands the material. She was awesome :)

Rosenthal is great teacher for Stats,I took it before and had to withdrawal because the professor I had taught straight from the book, Rosenthal doesn't even use the book so no you won't need it, although she expects you to print all the notes and group activities, she will take the time to help you understand the lesson&don't expect extra credit.

Professor Rosenthal is a GREAT professor. Stats is a hard class but her lectures really help and she does plenty of examples. she also does online videos just in case. her tests are hard if you don't study. I would definitely take her again though. best math professor at Gardens.

Prof Rosenthal is by far one the best professors I've taken at PBSC. Math is a tough subject for me but she helped me get through the semester. Always there for help when you need it! I decided to take some math classes at PBSC, well b/c its cheap. Her class is a ton of work, but if you are going into an engineering field you NEED this foundation to be solid. Rosenthal makes worksheets, has online videos for you to watch, and makes the test tricky. She tests the conceptual understanding of math. Take her if you want to learn.

Profesor Rosenthal truly cares that her students learn the theory and application of Statistics. If you are only looking for a passing grade then this class probably isn't for you. But if you enjoy math and want to actually learn the subject this is the professor to take. Expect a lot of work, and expect a professor who is there for you.

She has an SI which was a life saver also she did study groups on fridays for those who need the extra help. she made this subject as easy to understand as she could, also she has online videos of each topic she covers! she's amazing!!!

Great professor for stats, if you struggle with math she is willing to help, she loves to see the students trying hard and to see that they actually want to learn, I honestly and truly enjoyed her class, TAKE HER! You won't regret your decision. I would advise you not to miss any classes, it will feel like you missed a month worth of work.

Loved this professor and plan on taking her other math classes in the future. There is a lot of work that is involved, however the way she lectures you won't have any difficulties. She is open to help extra as long as you show that you truly care about your grade.

She was an amazing professor, that was passionate about what she taught, and wanted to try her best for her students to pass her class and understand the material she presented to us. The tests were not that bad and the homework is quite a bit but she wanted to make sure we understood the material. An easy A to be completely honest.

Rosenthal is go great, I made sure to get her for next semester too. She's a great choice for those who don't have perfect attendance, because she has recordings of all her lectures and notes available through Blackboard.

There are online video lectures reviewing main concepts and lots of sample problems to prepare for exams. You have to put in the work - but if you do - you'll do well! Professor Rosenthal is great! She goes over concepts until everyone understands. She's very patient and doesn't get frustrated with students. There was a lot of homework but its not that hard and she routinely gives students extra credit for exams. The final exam is accumulative though so make sure you understand what you learn.

Professor Rosenthal is the reason I passed calc. It was my third time taking it and I was so sure that I was going to fail, but she worked with me and I ended the class with a stronger base in math than I've ever had. She is one of the nicest and most caring, as well as one of the most knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend.

Prof. Rosenthal is amazing. I'm terrible at math, but she makes everything accessible and common-sense. If you're good at math she may be boring, but if you're bad at math, she goes step-by-step and explains everything well. There is a lot of outside work, but she gives you ample time in class to do most of it.

Prof. Rosenthal is very helpful and gives A LOT of practice problems to make sure you're prepared for the quizzes. As long as young keep practicing the class should be easy and if you ever need help she will always have time for you. Sweet sweet woman.

She is super caring and will try to work with you in whatever situation you are in. She does give a lot of handouts and worksheets, but to me they definitely helped me in the class (just do them before the tests). She also uses webassign, so there is a large amount of work to do. Quizzes and tests are just like what you find on the worksheets.

She's amazing! Everything you need to succeed is provided. She gives you the notes, homework packets, and has videos of the examples to use for help on the homework and quizes. You will have to put in the work and it's not easy, but she is more than willing to answer questions,provide feed back, and she always answers her emails. One of the best!!!

I failed calculus the first time with a D and I remember how much I hated it the first time, once I took her I passed with a B and I learned to actually appreciate calculus more and how it can actually be used in real life. She is SO incredibly helpful, best math professor at PBSC hands down.

This is by far the best teacher Palm Beach State College has to offer. Calc 2 is widely considered to be difficult, but she helps you learn it. All you have to do is do the hw, do her test reviews and practice. All of it is on her tests, no surprises. And, guess what? You still learn. Your grade is based on the amount of work you put in, amazing!

Professor Rosenthal is a wonderful teacher. She really cares to make sure her student understand the information. Calculus 1 is definitely a course that requires a lot of practice (which we get through our homework and lecture class exercises) but she also has great lecture videos. I had forgotten most of calc 1and she thankfully she took the first week or two to go over calc 1. I did not think I was going to pass this class based on my knowledge and I ended up getting an A. Will definitely take her again. Make sure your expectations for a fully online class are clear. It requires a lot of discipline and self-studying.

Had Professor Rosenthal for Calc 1 and Calc 2 fully online. Overall the experience was very good. Deadlines are given from day 1. Extra credit opportunities are provided several times throughout. She responds to all questions in a timely manner. Teaching is clear. Lectures are always available. The homework is hard but necessary. Would recommend!

Professor Rosenthal made calculus easy. The class is test-heavy, but they are not too bad. You'll be fine if you watch the lectures, take notes, do the practice problems, and do the homework. You get infinite tries for homework. The lectures can be a little long (20-60 min), but the syllabus says this class mirrors a class taken twice a week.

This professor makes learning easy, her class was one of the easiest math courses I've taken. Homework you can redo the question until you get it and receive full credit. Quizzes and tests are done through respondus with a webcam, and mandatory tutoring before each test. I love this professor, she is understanding and forgives small mistakes.

Professor Rosenthal TEACHES! Her lectures are great and I loved her class. The required webcam and microphone can be a little annoying at first but if you're not cheating, what's to worry about? You will learn Calculus if you take her, and if you actually try, you'll pass. Lots of homework though, so be diligent with your time management!

Goodness how I loved this class! Her lectures are pre-recorded as its a fully online course, but the videos she posted were extremely helpful in taking notes. Everything on the homework and on the assessments will be from the notes. She sets you up for success in her class and even will help you further with a subject if you reach out to her!!

Professor Rosenthal was honestly my favorite math professor I've ever had. 3 tests + final, but in my in-person class she dropped one of the 4. Takes breaks for group work which made the lectures way more interesting. Super accessible. The homework is long, but is exactly like the tests. It's Calc 2, it takes effort! When I tell you this is the best teacher ever ...... I am so serious. Calc 2 is hard, and she makes it soooooooooo simple with her lectures and her homework. The homework is exactly like the test. I work 3 jobs and it's hard to submit homework. But she has late passed which help me so much. I had to pay for this class. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY.
