I think Mr. Spector is a really good teacher. Although the material is hard, he makes it simpler to comprehend. He's pretty serious, but it's for the better. There's a lot of calculus to cover in 16 weeks.

He is an excellent math professor...he make problems easy to the point so u can get a better understanding of it..I would recommend him if you had to take any math courses!

Pro Spector seems okay, he teaches very fast, but his quizzes are easy and soo are his tests.

He is very clear and can really teach but you need to study right away not to forget the material and as long as you do the HW on time, you'll ace the tests, quizzes are open notes, he checks out way too many female students though and is somewhat of a neurotic who loses his temper in a split second

I had Mr. Spector for Calculus 3.. What some have said about him is true: he's a bit on edge and never smiles.. He may crack a joke or two, but that's it. However, he's a pretty good teacher, and his style is straightforward, which I like. His final is just previous test questions put together.

One of the most organized and professional professors. He is in full control of his classroom (no talking allowed shhhhh....) unless its Math related. He is very brilliant and explains Math making it easy to learn.

This professor is great. If you are not a math wizard, take this professor. He is clear, he does nto rush through. He does not get frustrated if you ask question. If you do the work, and there is not much you will be fine. The only downside is his test are MC, no partial credit but they are straight from the homework.

Class material is not easy but he explains well! HE was the reason the class was easy. Class consisted of an open notes/book quiz every day on previous material. Tests were 10-15 questions each. Final optional. Homework optional but I recommend doing it. Helps with the problems. Tests mimic homework. Easy A!

I am so happy I took Liberal Arts Math 1 with Mr. Spector. He is very good at explaining the material and always ask everyone if they understand. I truly love his teaching style and believe that he should be honored with an award or medal, he is that great at what he does. He is funny and cute. Always willing to help you. He's not a friendly guy, but pretty easy. Lets you out early and teaches you only "important" sections. You have daily quizzes (you can use notes) and the tests are like the homework problems. Don't talk...at all, or he'll get annoyed, but easy A.

He is not friendly, and if you stay after, it seems he gets frustrated or annoyed, but he is very clear when he lectures, gives great notes, and teaches very, very well. The class is basic and tests are 12-20 questions. LEARN HOW TO USE YOUR CALC AND YOU WILL NOT NEED TO MEMORIZE FORMULAS. Especially in the last chapter. Overall a great teacher!

Class was very easy and clear.Spector is willing to help and even stop a day?s lesson to do homework.There are a total of 26 quizzes, one each day, only 20 count.A total of 5 tests, curves each test. Having a book is not imperative because he displays one on a projector, but the tests questions come right from the homework problems.Highly Recommend

Great instructor considering it is calculus you can't have much of a better teacher, 26 quizzes, counts 20 best, open notes on quizzes. Tests are multiple choice usually 10 questions so it leaves room for error but curves ! not very personal but he teaches the material that will be on the test no fluff

He makes business calculus seem so easy, the way he teaches it. Kinda funny. Tests are only about 10 questions each so make sure you know the material. I didn't buy the book, but I spent HOURS upon HOURS in the math lab using their book, doing the homework. I got an A, but I studied my butt off. Great great great teacher.

This class is the easiest A in the world. Come every day and do the work. I screwed up because it is so easy I slacked off and I missed a few quizes. I have my final on Monday and I sure I will get 100%.

Prof. Spec hands down is the best at BC North Campus and I make no apologies about that. I took this class this summer for six weeks and its the easiest math class I ever took. Prof Spec make this thing look simple as ever. Do your homework and its a sure A, you will not regret it.

I took Lib Arts I, because I am AWFUL at math. Spector made learning the material easy. He moves fast, but always answers any questions and makes things clear. He is a fantastic professor. HIGHLY recommended!

Wonderful professor! 5 tests, final is not cumulative. There is an open book/notes 1 point quiz every day on the material covered in the previous class. Very straightforward. Do the assigned homework, come to class and you're guaranteed to learn.

He'll try his best to answer any question you have no matter what. Daily quizzes on the the material from the past day, so attendance is very much encouraged. This bite-sized approach to learning the material is very effective. He'd let us out early a lot, but only if all the material is covered. 5 tests, multiple-choice, final is non-cumulative.

I failed this class in the past and passed with a B. He is by far my favorite math professor because he explains everything in detail and your notes are perfect if you write what we do in class. Professor Spector is the BEST PROFESSOR i've ever had. I took him for Calc in the summer and was worried because Calc is a hard subject but he made it easy as ABC's. Took him for CalcII and CalcIII amazing professor, really knows how to teach math, daily quizzes help you learn the material. Keeps the class focused does't allow you to make noise or disrupt the class. Daily homework, goes over it the following day, if you have any question or don't understand a concept he will take the time to explain it to you.

Prof. Spector is one of the best math teachers you can get. He is great at expecting the material. The tests are not hard if you do the homework. Very-well structured class. You can start with him from College Algebra and go all the way to Calculus 3 and Differential Equations. He knows how to explain it all.

Prof. Spector is easily the clearest teacher to understand. Lectures were never hard to understand and test were easy. If i didn't know how to do a problem i would plug the multiple choice options til it made sense. ALEKS is rough but he has no control over that. Only had one test that was not a 100%, I got around 98 by attending class.

BEST CALC II PROFESSOR EVER! Super easy A if you do the H.W. He clearly explains the topics and gives reasonable work. TAKE HIM!!! I have taken multiple classes with Spector. Yes, he does make the subjects seem really simple. Unfortunately, this isn't a good thing. He skips a lot of material that involves using math in the real world. Once you start going taking 3k & up level courses, you'll be lost. Easiest A for sure but you wont know how to apply that knowledge out of class

The best math professor i've ever hard hands down. Had him for calc 2,3, and Diff Eq. He explains everything in a clear understanable way and enjoys teaching. He's very strict about there being no disturbances in class, so be respectful. You have a quiz every day based on the previous class and you can use your notes on them.

I used to hate math like with all my heart after highschool. But once I was in his class he made me really enjoy and like math. He teaches so well and does pop quizes in the morning after he goes over what we did the day before. Its only 3 questions though and super easy. If you do your Aleks and pay attention in class you'll pass. I love his class

Professor Ira is very clear and goes straight to the point during the class. He teaches how to solve homework and tests problems. Diff. Eqs is not an easy subject, but with all your prerequisites taken prior to this class ( Cal 2 will be handy), it won't be impossible. Just spend some time practicing the problems.

Anybody whos anybody at Broward would tell you if you failed math, you go to him to pass. He actually teaches, compared to the other math teachers who just play videos. 3 point little quiz every day that you keep, really helps you study like a boss. He gets triggered by background noise, but he also likes to make 18+ jokes lol. Take him.

Great for Calculus 3. He actually has knowledge on the topic and knows how to use a calculator to make things easier for the students. He shows how to use a graphing calculator for concepts which is fantastic. He's GREAT would highly recommend anyone to take his class. He does about 6 problems an hour with a good explanation. Spector is a funny, chill guy that will help you get the credit you need. HATES talking so make sure you shush, but his teaching is very clear and helps you get the information while adding in a couple of jokes here and there. My only complaint is when you'll ask a question he'll make you feel kinda dumb, other than that, still reccomend him

Spector is a great professor. Took him for Calc 2 and Diff. Eq. You will not regret it. He explains things in the easiest way possible. He does HW problems as his lecture so you end up with little HW. He does get annoyed easily if students aren't paying attention. Most classes were less than an hour. Take him if you can.

No graded homework. We had daily one point quizzes which were more for him to know that we aren't behind. This professor is PHENOMENAL at teaching. He tells you what will be on the test and if you practice the homework questions before the tests you'll pass. 10/10.

I took him during covid and tbh there were no tests, no nothing and only homework usually consisting of 1-3 problems and it was based off what he taught in class that day. lecture is only about 30 minutes sometimes an hour but never much longer than that. super chill guy loved him

One of the best professors I've had in BC. Had to take him during corona, so it was remote learning thru blackboard. I was so glad I took his class during these crazy times because it did not add any stress to my life. You just listen to his lecture and then he emails the assignment for the day which will take you 30 minutes max to complete.

Most math classes have you sit through a 2 hour lecture that leaves you confused and you end up watching a 10 minute youtube video that explains the material better. This man is that 10 minute youtube video. Straight to the point and all the steps to help you learn. He gives you proper examples that can help you complete the course work.

Literally one of the best professors ever. He explains everything so well, making hard concepts seem simple. I took his class remotely, and we just had to turn in daily work, and no tests. It actually helps retain what I've learned. Wish I can take him again :(

I took professor Spector during spring '21 for calc 2 and discrete math. He is honestly the best at teaching math! He made me enjoy the math I was doing with little to no stress. One of the best if not the best professor I have ever had. Took him for Calc 3 and DiffEq. Spector made math very easy like elementary reading. He knows how to think like a student and make sure we are able to understand his lessons.

Coming to class was optional since he recorded class on zoom since it was both online and in person. He always posts the recording after so you can go back and watch it when needed. We have this thing called ALEKS where we do all our homework's on and its worth most all of our grade and which come with a lot of questions but overall, an easy class.

PLEASE for the love of GOD just do your homework and you will ace this class. His lectures follow the homework, and he is not a gotcha kind of prof. He doesn't try to trick you on his exam. If you do not understand math, this man will make you understand. I have always been bad at math, but his lectures are so amazing I am now confident in my math abilities. Do your ALEKS (he cannot help it) and multiple-choice tests. Easy A.

His way of explaining relatively advanced mathematics is impeccable, he is as good as it gets as long as you know what you're doing. Recorded lectures are available for all no questions asked, show up for the tests which are made for you to pass, again, as long as you know your math. Take him while he has spots left; take his class for all maths.

His lectures were very straightforward, if you ever need help he is accessible and very understanding. As long as you do your homework and attend class for the 5 tests given, there is no way you shouldn't pass the class.

I was NEVER good at math, especially algebra, but Professor Spector helped me understand it so much better. he was my only in-person class so i kind of hated the idea of going to campus for only one class, but he goes on zoom for his classes too and records them! so you can stay home AND go back to rewatch his lectures. Unambiguous grading policies. Most of the work is on ALEKS and there are test reviews that mirror the actual test. The lectures are also on Zoom for people who might have trouble attending class and only test/exam attendance is mandatory. He is also very kind and funny. Definitely recommend

Took for MAD2104 Discrete Mathematics. Thought the class would suck because it starts at 6pm but it is amazing. He only requires attendance on test days, the lectures are on Zoom + online hw. He goes through every question on the homework in the lectures. The tests are extremely easy as well. Your grade is comprised of homework and 4 tests.

All test questions were seen prior in the homework assignments, and his lectures - which are just working on the homework as a class - are always recorded and available for re-watching at all times. There's 5 tests which are based on the webassign homework, the professor picks similar questions that'll be on the test that you focus on overall pretty simple instructions and easy to follow

He's very caring and his guidelines for passing are straightforward. You are graded by 5 tests (no final at least for summer semester) and a cumulative total for all the homework during the semester. He makes calc 2 very simple and any concept in general easy to understand how to solve. when class is over your homework should be done as he does it.

Professor Spector is great! Expect to do the work, study for the tests. If you Pay attention and understand the homework you will do well on the tests. The homework and classwork are important because similar type problems appear on the test.
