However, his in-class quizzes you only get 10 mins to do 10 questions, & you go at his pace meaning he reads the questions out loud, the problem here is you barely have time to think about the right answer if you don't know the correct answer right away. He is a nice and friendly prof, don't get me wrong. But his class is very demanding in terms of readings and if you do not study or go to class, you won't perform well. I am not a fan of the quizzes but be sure to study thoroughly for them.

He repeats himself and hes a little condescending but overall I thought he had good lectures with content I enjoyed. I didnt read any of the textbook and did fine on the quizzes! Only concern is his lack of exam review considering how much its worth.

I really enjoyed this class. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. If you attend the lecture and do the reading the quizzes will be pretty easy to do well on.

His class was definitely interesting. I didn't quite understand why we were learning theories from philosophers and those not in CoMs but about 2 weeks in it all came together. The bi-weekly quizzes were easy once you paid attention in class and focus on what he says that is not on the powerpoint. The exam was good and I did well on it.

Honesty he is a really nice guy and you can tell he is really passionate about what he teaches, however he always goes on a tangent so writing notes for him is really hard and he is really dry; which makes studying for the quizzes and exams hard. I don't understand how he marks the exam; but A LOT of people do bad the first time.

I found his 2nd-yr class to be extremely challenging and I nearly failed. But in 3rd-yr, I learned how to study in general because of Dr. W. Go to class, use the examples his gives and repeats in class on your exams and papers. You dont need to do the readings to do well - study smart and youll see that its actually all quite straight forward.

Marking was based on 3 tests which were all open book. As long as you did the readings, made notes, and went to class every week to listen to what prof. Wagman had to say as well as the other people in the class, then getting a good grade was easy. Prof. Wagman is one of the best profs in the department. Highly, highly recommend this class

Good person overall but due to the covid situation, it was an asynchronous class. There were a lot of written papers due which were difficult to complete as they were heavily reading-based with little to no discussion. The bright side is that we didn't have to do all the papers due.

Absolute giga-chad. Very open and communicative about his grading expectations, will help you get your idea expressed as clearly as possible. He would literally have everyone in class take a break to read the readings and talk about them if people didn't get the time to do it. Incredibly kind and friendly.

Probably the best Professor I've had thus far! The lectures were always engaging and it was nice that the syllabus was designed in such a way where you could effectively "choose" which assignments to complete to make up the 100% to better fit it in your schedule. As long as you show up and engage with the material, you'll do pretty well.

Prof Wagman in this class made me realize why I love learning. There were no slideshows, just him speaking to the class about the weekly topic and engaging with our thoughts. You need to work for your grade, but you get a lot out of the class. He was 100% meant to be a prof

Ira Wagman is a great professor and when listening to him you feel like he actually knows and cares about what he's saying not just reading of off slides. He is a pretty tough grader but if you ask him why he graded it that way it makes a lot of sense and I leave his office with no complaints and feel better prepared for future assignments.

Great prof and good lectures, explained things clearly. But make sure to do all the readings, because the content of the readings is almost 70% ish of your grade. Lets you bring as many notes as needed during exams, so don't worry about memorization, just read and note.

Great professor. You do NEED to attend the lectures, as he does not post any slides. The course only has three exams, and they weren't difficult. There is also a catch-up exam available if you want to improve a grade. He is very nice, passionate, and genuinely cares about the material. The course I took was COMS 3308.
