She's a new instructor, very nice and patience. Interesting lecture with cool videos and lively discussion.

Irene is the most responsive online instructor I have at PCC. Other online teacher take at least a day or two to reply, but during the week she would usually reply within the same I ask the question. I also had software technical problem that she went out of her way to make suggestion for me to resolve.

Weekly homework and quizzes, and if you do the work, you will do well. Irene was really good with giving feedbacks on homework. Unlike some online instructors I had in the past who is more or less a ghost, there are always messages from her to the class throughthroughout the week. She also let student work ahead, which worked out great for me.

Irene is definitely my favorite online instructor this term. Her assignments are not hard, it does take time. I like that she tries to interact with her postings as if we are in class having a conversation instead of the usual beginning of the week posting many online teacher has that plainly state the chapter or topic covering that week.

The class was a 1 credit Job Finding Skills that meets for 3 Saturdays. I enjoyed her lecture and assignments were pretty easy. I actually learned a lot, and was able to apply the skills I learned right away to get my first office job!

Ive just finished with my final for the class. Irene ROCKS!!! I had trouble with adjusting entries and we exchanged over a dozen emails with screen shots and videos to help me understand what I was doing wrong. Too bad there are no other classes I can take with her.

I failed this class with another teacher and so far Irene is much better at helping me learn. I appreciate that she provided additional outside resources beyond the text book powerpoint and publisher's website. I hated and still hate the text book's my accounting lab website!

Irene was clear with her expectations and would reply to email within a day. However I found the Learn Smart online homework to be tedious and time consuming. The class also covered 2 chapters a week so theres a lot of reading involved. But if you do the work, you will do well. I would definitely take another class with her again.

I really like this class. We did fun activities like Debit & Credit Jeopardy and group midterm. Irene also provides cheat sheet for difficult topics and tell interesting stories from her job experience. I recommend her to all my friends.

I just finished this class with Irene today. Its a Saturday class that only meets 3 times and there was no textbook that you need to buy. Her assignments were pretty easy but are all very relevant to the process of looking for a job. I found the information she provided to be very useful. Its a fun class!

My first review. I got a C bcuz I was lazy, but Irene is an A teacher. She emailed me that the major reason I got a C and not a B was my lack of discussion. She said the evidence of my work shows that I can be an A student and wish me a more successful winter term. I have never had a teacher who care enough to send me an email like that before!

Loving her in BA 228 right now. She is quick with her email replies and I'm grateful for that because I work full time and cannot start homework until Friday night. I have had other online teachers that do not check emails on the weekend in the past and my grade suffered because I cannot finish up homework with my questions unanswered.

I'm finishing up BA 211 right now and thanks to Irene I have a very good foundation from BA 111 to help me be successful. Irene was very hands on with working through problems in class. I also like that she provided handout for each topic she introduced. Highly recommended her to anyone that needs to take BA 111!

The class was amazing. I recommend everybody to take this class. She is a great teacher and the instructions are clear. The teacher is there for you and I would take the class again. I loved the class and the teacher is very nice. Accounting was easy to learn with this teacher. You can get a good grade if you do your work in the class.

I took this class with Irene in winter. She tied in current events as she provides extra content and links that are very helpful. I really enjoyed taking the class as the course work really helped me begin my road to healthier personal finances. I will be taking Quickbooks with her this summer and look forward to it!

Irene provided detailed notes for each chapter we cover and they were very helpful. The course materials were dry and math heavy but she made the best out of it. I also appreciate her quick turn around with emails even on a Sunday! This was my last class at PCC and Irene was definitely the top 3 instructors I have had at PCC.

Irene is very responsive for an online teacher. I received questions to my discussion posts and emails usually in the same day I sent them. I wish she would put up more tutorial videos, but overall she's a good teacher. I plan to take another class with her.

Irene is awesome at QuickBooks. She provided information to become a Certified QB user. Responded quickly to emails. Gave helpful hints without having to tell me the exact answer. The book was very useful and I will use it in the future. I took her class online and if you follow the instructions, you should do great.

I like that her lecture is not boring at all as she will tell how the concepts we are learning actually work in the business world. I also appreciate that she gives out notes in class, and post all class materials in D2L. I am looking forward to taking 212 and 213 with her next term.

She's great! She makes hard concepts seem easier than it is. There is quite a bit of homework and the test can be tough but she gives out handouts, and allows notes on exams.

I have to say her tests are hard. But she allows you to bring a one page notes and preparing the notes actually help me understand the materials better. I will be taking BA 212 with her next term and actually looks forward to learning more about accounting!

Accounting is not an easy topic for me and Irene was always willing to spend extra time to help me understand the materials outside of class. I would email her on a Friday when I get stuck in the homework and she would respond in the same day. She also provides handouts in almost every class that are really useful.

This was an easy class, I guess I should have enrolled in BA 211 instead of this one. There were chapters that I was able to just use her lecture and handouts instead of reading the book. It was nice of her to make all her materials available in D2L.

I don't think a budgeting class should have all those accounting requirements and I have taken all the accounting classes already. There wasn't anything for me to learn until the later part of the class. Irene was supportive and flexible especially with the snow we had beginning of term. But I found the book and Cengage website difficult to use.

I just took the first test with her this week. It was a hard test for sure but she did a good job reviewing prior to the test and allow for one page of notes. I felt that I actually learned the materials and I hope I will get a B on the test. I took BA 211 with another teacher and really struggled and bearly passed that class!

Finishing up BA 213 with Irene hopefully with an A. I am not good in Math and this was a very hard class with many formulas. So I really appreciated her lecture notes and actually giving us print outs of the problems we reviewed or worked on in class. She also tells good stories and relate what we were learning to real business world situations.

Irene would go through the PowerPoints and then work through problems in class to solidify the materials. She's great at getting back to emails, usually within a couple of hours. She has a wealth of knowledge and willing to share her experiences. Would love it if she was teaching more Business Admin. class!

It is refreshing to have an online instructor that actually interact with us students throughout the term. She also put up additional information and demo examples for the difficult Bond chapter which was a life saver for me. I will be taking BA 213 with her this fall.

Irene totally rocks! I took BA 211 from her this summer on a Sat. She would always provided chapter handouts that were useful with learning the materials and was very reasonable with assignment due dates. I felt that she is one of those rare teacher who actually care about her students likely because she also work as an academic advisor.

By far the best online teacher I've had at PCC. She responded to my email within an hour and worked out a similar problem in her reply to the homework that I was struggling on. She also gave additional notes for each chapter that is super helpful. Highly recommended and will talk another class with her next term.

Irene is an amazing caring teacher who will go the extra mile for you. I sent her an email stuck with homework. She worked out the problem on a coffee shop paper napkin, take a photo of that napkin, and email it back to me within an hour! Irene is amazing with her stories and past experiences that she relates to business! Everything in the class is pretty straightforward. But the homework is ONLY ONLINE and there's tooooons of it. Just do it. She is always available to help and gives great resources to help you understand chapters and pass the class. <3

I took BA 211+212. Irene makes accounting easy. There are few due dates, so you can put off doing some assignments for a week or two. She peppers her lectures with anecdotes and personal stories, giving you the real low-down. She is funny and very forgiving. Doesn't take attendance. Lots of handouts to help with notes! Quick to respond to emails.

Irene's real cool and I think I will do well in BA 211 this time around. We have done many in practice problems already and its only week 2. I also like that the lecture and practice problems are posted in D2L.

Irene is very active for an online teacher. Gives hints and examples when she sees most of the class struggling with a certain topic. Most HW/exams are done on MyAccountLab, but unlike a lot of other online teachers, she tries to input her own teaching as well. The online module was very well organized and easy to follow.

Irene is a gem. I was a business major and unsure of what specifically I wanted to major in and now I know thanks to her! She's super knowledgeable on the subject (she worked as a Managerial Accountant) and also super sweet and funny! There are 4 module due dates in the class so you can put off hw if you need to and NO CUMULATIVE FINAL!

Irene was great, she had clear expectations. I took her online, she responded to email promptly. Her class is set up to have all homework, quizzes and a test do at once, as a block but gives you 2-3 weeks to complete. Easy to do if you keep up with it. Gives you the ability to find your own time to do it. If you follow the structure, easy pass.

I took 111/211/212/213 in person and 218 online with Irene. Really the best teacher I had at PCC. I think what makes her special is she truly care about student being successful. In the span of nearly two years that I took classes with her, I witnessed how she constantly seek feedback and make changes to implement those feedback into her teaching!

She explains everything you need to know in class then lets you do the coursework at your own pace- only 3 due dates throughout the quarter. Irene cares about her students! I am no longer taking any of her classes but she still keeps in contact and helps me when I need it. Love her!

Once you get into a routine of the weekly assignments, itll be a breeze. Irenes quick and detailed in her responses to questions. There was a discussion each week through D2L, and using MyAccountingLab there was 2 quizzes and homework each week over 1 chapter. The textbook is your bff. Theres opportunities to retake things and get extra credit.

This was a very hard class for me. Irene provided many examples and helped me extensively when I was having trouble with Bonds. She also recognized that it was a difficult chapter and spent two weeks covering that topic. I'm in Managerial Accounting with her this summer.

I took Irene online for 211/212 and had a great learning experience. After struggling in 212 and with my poor math skills, Irene recommended that I take 213 in person. Man am I glad I took her advice! We worked thru different problems in class and she provided many handouts. I had to work hard, but I am so proud of my A. Thanks Irene!

Easy and fun class with FREE TEXTBOOK. The usual online class discussions, weekly assignments that were actually helpful to my real life's money management. There's a final reflection paper and a multiple choice final exam. Irene also let students work ahead and I'm done two weeks early. I will be taking her BA 211 this fall.

This is the 3rd class I have taken with Irene and it was even better then her accouning classes! Many of the assignments were tools that I can actually use in my real life personal finance planning. I really appreciated Irenes honesty with all feedbacks and she is such a caring teacher. I will miss having her as my teacher at PSU.

Irene is great with her delivery of this personal finance class. Its so awesome that the textbook is free and saved me over a hundred bucks. There's weekly homework, discussions, a final project, and a final multiple choice test. Easy A and as an older student in my thirties, I was still able to pick up some useful tips from this class.

Earning an A is very doable in Irenes class. The class is setup by 4 modules with 4 due dates. Each modules has 2 chapters and a test after each module. She does a good job explaining the materials and has many funny stories to share from what she called her former life in corporate. Lecture and practice problems are posted after each class.

She is an amazing instructor! She doesn't require students to be in the class to get full attendance grade. She will load all her lectures and handouts right after the class, so in case we are absent we can still access to the materials and learn. All homework and exams are done and graded online, so we have a lot of flexibility with the class.

It was a fun class with useful tools that I use in my real life. Plus the textbook is FREE!

I hate accounting but Irene is my favorite teacher. Its really cool that she actually understand that some of us are only taking the class because it is required to go to PSU and do her best to help us learn to do the work. If you have to take the 211/212/213 series, you should definitely take her class!

Irene is an excellent professor. She is very caring, and tough but fair. This class has four due dates, so as long as you don't wait until the due date (theres too much work, you can't do it) you'll be fine. Lots of opportunity to improve your grade and earn extra credit, and bonus points for a night time online office hours for us who work 9-5!

A student friendly professor, who vouches for student's needs. She lays out the requirements early on and gives enough time for the due dates. She can respond quickly outside of class, even in the wee hours of the morning if you're stuck in a question. Love her as my accounting teacher this whole BA accounting series of 211, 212 and currently 213.

Not a whole lot of interaction since it was an online class, but you can tell she cares and she had some good videos to watch. Class involved the reg weekly online stuff. I am finishing up BA 213 this spring. I also took BA 211 and 212 with Irene. She is a flexible, funny, caring, and patience teacher. If you miss a class, you will always find her lecture and notes posted in D2L after each class meeting. Because of Irene, I will be majoring in Accounting when I transfer to PSU this fall.

Professor Seto is an amazing teacher. I wansn't very excited about taking accounting but her online class was very organized and easy to understand, and she really makes herself available to help if you need it. The expectations are clear and theres no hidden surprises. The class used MyAccountingLab website for most of work.

Irene is great! I found her class to be a fairly easy A, but I definitely learned from it. She makes her students her top priority, and is willing to stick up for her students in every way. I would definitely take any class from her again-- good teacher, but also an awesome contact number to have for your future.

You cant say no to a free textbook! The usual reading, video, weekly discussion and exercise. There is also a final paper and an easy multiple choice exam. Its an online class so I didnt get to know Irene well but she seem pretty cool and post nice messages throughout the term.

Its Thanksgiving and Im grateful to have Irene as my teacher. This is my 2nd attempt taking BA 211, and with Irenes help, I am finally getting accounting. She really take the time explaining the concepts and giving me hints instead of just giving me the answers when I email her for help. I feel she genuinely care about me.

Took BA 211/12/13 with her. There is also an exam covering BA 211/212 which is mostly journal entries, but I found 213 to be a lot easier. Be prepared because this class is A LOT of work each chapter consists of: DSM, Homework, Discussion, Quiz and about 3 Exams throughout the course. She also has only 3 deadlines so you can go at your own pace. GL

Took this class during the pandemic and attendance was not mandatory. Irene gives good examples in lectures live and is willing to help if you have questions. She also pre-records lectures in addition to the weekly meetings. Very easy going but also assigns a lot of homework. More than double the amount from my previous accounting class.

Summer 2020. We had weekly discussions w/ 2 replies, weekly assignments, final project, and final exam. The text was old, but also free, and the instructor provided additional material to read and watch. I learned some new things, but the class also went over stuff I already knew. There's only three due dates, so don't procrastinate!

I took Irene with BA 211 and 213 and both received grade of A. She is awesome, trust me she is the most out-going and generous Accounting professor out there who is always there to help you out. 100% recommend Irene.

Accounting is a difficult subject for me. I struggled a lot but Irene was very supportive. I met with her in Zoom office and exchanged many emails. I also was ready to accept a C but Irene encouraged me to makeup late work and complete extra credit to earn the B that I had not expect to have earned. Most caring teacher I have had at PCC!

I failed 212 last term with another instructor who provided no help to my learning and I am having a much better time right now with Irene. Her D2L course is very organized and has many example demos in pdf and video format for each chapter. I have also been able to receive quick email replies from her when I have Qs. Thumbs up!

Irene is very engaging for an online professor. She emailed the class, posted frequent announcements, and hosted weekly zoom. There were many videos she made for the class in additional to the text books resources. Too bad her class was the last accounting class I have to take. I have recommended her to all my friends.

I felt she cares about her student's success in her class. This was a math heavy class, but if math isn't your thing she focuses on explaining the problems beyond the numbers so you don't have to rely on a list of equations. Beyond her helpful online lectures, she has videos where she does problems which helps a lot with homework and tests.

I took BA 111 this past summer and still find BA 211 class very dense and difficult. I like that Irene prepared a lot of learning resources especially in the beginning of the term to help us with reviewing the accounting basics. Each chapter has a reading exercise, set of homework problems, and a quiz. I spend at least 8 hrs/wk to keep up.

Irene is a good accounting teacher. Most of the work in done in Connect and there is ALOT of it. The lectures can be a bit boring but helpful if you are confused on a topic. She gives lots of opportunities to ask questions and provides help when you need it, you just have to ask. Overall, a good teacher if you are willing to keep up and do the work

Solid professor! There were always course announcements highlighting key topics for the chapter directing us to a specific video or examples she put in D2L. Prof Seto always answered my emails within hours with clear answers to my Qs, not a generic go read the textbook my previous prof in 111 would replied with. I will take 213 with her next term.

Seto really cares about her students and although she goes fast in class, she's always happy to back track and help you understand if you're confused. Genuinely one of the best professors I've ever had. Instead of weekly due dates, she has once a month due dates. You can work at your own pace while not having to worry about falling behind.

Irene is a fantastic accounting teacher. I took BA111, 211 and 213 with her at PCC. She offered all of her classes both in person and via Zoom simultaneously, which I loved. Irene gets the people on Zoom to participate as much as the people in class. Her lectures are informative and she is very clear about what is expected of each student.

I've had Irene as a prof for three terms now. They are great and they really do care for the impact of learning, but I found myself learning a lot of the content myself due to not digesting the lectures very well as it's fast pace. They have VERY lenient deadlines which is great and is very accessible outside of class! I 100% recommend Irene.

BA213 Summer class (4 weeks, online) was intense and fast-paced, but the professor made it manageable by unlocking everything early, 3 exams (~4 hrs each), an Excel assignment, McGrawHill chapter's exercises, 3 discussions+replies. Materials were clear, feedback was detailed and she offered extra credit. Super organized, responsive, and supportive!

Prof Seto is a very caring teacher who wants her students to do well. She is very encouraging, has a clear understandable teaching style. She will help students understand anything they don't when the going gets tough with 211, because the content is a really tough subject to learn. I wish I could take her again for future subjects. She's the best!

Professor Seto is very engaging in lectures, but can move a bit fast on slides. There are 4 random attendance quizzes, but she'll state that there will be a quiz at the beginning of the lecture, and keeps the quiz open 2 days after. Watch the lectures, keep up with quizzes and modules, and definitely do the practice exams!
