She is a good teacher if you keep up on the work. Her accent is hard to understand at first, but gets easier as the sem goes on. She has a tendency to move a little to fast, but will explain again if you ask her to. She is a very good teacher though.

The accent is fine, however she has a tendency to ebarrass students, which makes it hard to ask questions. She can be rude, however, I don't believe that is intentional, I think its, because of her culture. Choose a different teacher if possible.
She is hard to ask question. She will screw you up if you try to say something. Heavy accent. Whacko grade system. Avoid at all cost.

great teacher, hard class. her accent is hard to understand at first. i also think she liked our class better cuz we were the "smart kids" (ie really advanced math).
She asks you to do a question, walks around, and behind you. If you are doing it wrong, she will make sure you, and the entire class knows it. Makes the class environment uncomfortable. As for the "smart kid", I am a math double major, and a teachers duty is to be unbiased.
she wasnt clear in anything that she taught.
she was nice but only 7 people stayed in my trig class. the starting numbers were like 30+. you can get through the class for sure, but you got to go, and you got to do the hw. if you have questions she'll answer them, no big deal. overall she wasn't the worst i had
Very hard and rude teacher. Avoid her. Hard to understand. She is getting old.
She's very knowledgable and approachable. I took her class during my first semester and it was an easy course. I didn't do any homework, nor did I study anything and I still had A. I knew a student who also got A even though her percent was around 87.
She is a great teacher to the students that have an advanced math background. i.e if you dont know it before you take the class, there aint no way that you will learn it from her.
terribly teacher and she has a terribly accent that makes it very hard to understand her. she should be fired for not being able to teach a class very well.
I think everyone should take her. The highest grade that semester in her class (3.5 years ago) was mine a B. It didn't help my GPA, but it has really prepared me for everything else I've taken. She is great in office hours, you should go. She's very smart. You can get used ot the accent.
Extremely hard to understand due to her accent. Thinks like a mathmatician and is unable to assist visual learners such as myself. If you are a math cruncher & a self study, you may have better luck.
old woman with a rude personality. unhelpful and unapproachable. avoid if possible
Elementary algebra: Appears to think that all students proficient in algebra skills. Teaching methods are way too fast. Doesn't like slow students that need help. Her accent affected my ability to understand her. Cultural differences maybe but demeanor is unpleasant. Had to drop class.
she knows her stuff & is one of the best math prof @ SCC. her pre calc is challenging & that's how it supposed to be b/c it prepares you for calc, but anyone can pass it. gives quizes regularly to prepare for tests. test are straight forward. HW not required to do but they help you for quizes/test so do the HW. go to class reg & it will pay off! :)
the course was tough, don't blame the teacher
Horrible teacher....do not take her class!!!
very very hard to understand. she has a very strong accent that makes her so hard to understand. the only way that you can pass of you already know the material.

Someone recommended me to her Big mistake I will always regret taking her class she is clear in explaining the material but when it comes to the exam she takes it a million levels up. very unapprochable her grading standards are very akward stay as far away from her as you can
Very rude and unhelpful!!! Talks extremely fast that no one can understand!!! Worst math teacher I've had in my whole life!!! DEFINITELY avoid!!!!!!!!

After reading the reviews here, I don't get it. Yeah, she's hard... But who ever said school was supposed to be easy. She's a very challenging instructor and if you work hard you'll pass. Most rewarding experience of my life.

The best math teacher community college can buy. She is incredible at explaining concepts and providing many activities to help them sink in. Her exams were not timed, which also helped and she was always available outside class for any questions.
this professor is bad ass, with an MA in mathematics from the university of moscow (i think) not only will she scare the living**** out of you (if you don't like to be called upon) but she'll push you try to understand everything she's talking about. she's a challenge.
OMG!!! Good luck!!! This is all I can say!!!
She is extremely rude and difficult to deal with. You ask a question, she makes you feel like an idiot because you should already understand. shes crazy, raises her voice when you ask a ?. Her accent is bad and she talks much to fast. I failed her class, even though i got A's in all other math courses. dont take her. u wont make it.
I've had this teacher for trig and for precalculus. we always start with 30 and we always end with under 8 but it's not her fault. She knows what we should know already, so if you don't know something, then she won't bother explaining old material to you. I got a C in trig but now i'm sort of kicking ass in pre calc, so I learned a lot.****LEARN
First off, I failed her class, not because she's a bad teacher, but because I have a severe lack of interest in doing math. However, I think she's a great teacher for anybody who's really serious about learning math, because she knows her stuff and I sincerely believes that she loves the subject and teaching it.
The easiest teacher on earth. She only says things she understands. She is so considerate that she picks on every single mistake that you make. I especially like her weird sense of humor that she is so proud of her ass. nothing to say must take!!! Two thumbs up~

She is the best; she gives me answers for any problem that I want to know. Her test is hard, but she gives you a lot of extra time to solve it.
I know she's hard but if you want to have a strong basic to prepare for calculus, you shuold take her class
Took her in summer, although I passed the class and understood every material, but NOT from her, from all the time I spent reading the book!!! I'm a math major, and she almost made me hate math!!!
absolutely terrible
She is a great teacher. I hated math before I took her and now I love it! She is very helpful and always availble at her office if you need help. She also keeps the class moving along so you dont get behind and have to cram at the end of the semester. I cant wait to take her for Intermediate Algebra next semester.
Unless you already remember every single material from highschool, don't bother taking her. She grades really extreme on her exams. Doesn't even give half credits. It's really hard to understand this teacher talk too. She keeps going "You see?" after every example and that gets annoying too.
Can not understand a DAMN thing she is saying!! Her accent is so THICK! Do not take her if you want to learn something. You are expected to know everything in this class prior to taking it, which defeats the whole purpose of taking the class. Very short with people. Seems like she has an attitude when you inquire about her lecture. Don't take her!!
Very difficult to undrstnd accent. Stdnts who do well in this class r probably already vry familiar w/ concepts. Comes across as vry rude &intimidating bt I don't knw tht she necessarily means 2 b -is probably helpful bt stdnts r scared 2 spk up. dn't tk her class unless u just nd slight refresher. Aftr 2-3 wks, I choose 2 tk it with anthr teacher.
Goes to fast for the average person. Very hard to understand
She is very tough, and very straight forward, but a good teacher. One of the few I've felt I have actually learned something from. She goes for the understanding of concepts in material instead of just certain types of problems. Yes, intimidating, but sometimes that can be a good thing! It makes you do your work. If you can't take the heat....
Best teacher i ever have, she definetely care about you, her test is hard though
Challenging, great class. Although she can have an intimidating manner sometimes, she is a very nice person, she knows her stuff, and her enthusiasm for her subject is infectious. Her lecture moves along fast. Doing the HW very helpful but not required. Thorough but fair exams. You get used to her accent. If you hang in there, you will learn a lot!
this lady should no be teaching.
ALTHOUGH SHE IS HARD SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER!! SHE REALLY KNOWS HER STUFF AND IS WILLING TO HELP YOU IF U GO FOR IT. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER OFFICE HOURS, SHE REALLY CAN EXPLAIN STUFF AND IS PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT SHE DOES. I THINK SHE SHOULD BE TEACHING BECAUSE SHES WONDERFUL!!!
She's not a good teacher, you would have to be independent in your quest to learn Calculus.
Her accent takes a bit of getting used to, but she will keep going over the problem until you get it. She will take time after class to show you. She has a great way of doing word problems.
I would not take her again!
This teacher is very nice. She made math very interesting. I've heard a lot from ppl that she is hard and I wouldn't pass. I didn't listen to those ppl and I am glad that I did that. It was only seven students in my class, and we all enjoyed taking this class with this teacher. We had a lot of fun, especially on final (1/2 life problem). о
Her accent takes you a few weeks to get used to.After you get it, you are on the way to pass the class. I had heard a lot of bad comment about her before I took her class. she explained very well. The most important was that she really cared about her students. If you realize you don't understand, she would explain again. you don't even have to ask
She has an accent that I couldn't understand. Not exactly the down to earth type. She is helpful though and will stay after class 4 u.She gets an attitude sometimes but has good intentions. She knows her stuff, just pay attention and build a good relationship with her and you'll do good.
She is the hardest teacher ever!!! Out of nowhere she just drop me. She doen't give any warnings before dropping me. I recomend everyone to not take this class, unless you want a W or an big F on your transcript don't take this class. She has a very bad accent and I couldn't even understand what she is saying. Ther is no review for chapter tests.
Maybe its the compressed schedule, but this lady is the fastest, most incomprehensible math teacher ive ever had. She is very strict and rude. She hates it when you ask questions and doesnt understand english well enough to know what your asking EVER. im not kidding. will chastise you with cold "GET IT NOW?!" after answering you dumb quesion.
Even though she's really fast as my high school teacher, maybe a little faster. She is really helpful and knows a lot, if you plan to continue in math, then she's the choice! You'll survive =] She does have a ascent, but it's easy to get use to
Very hard teacher. If you are willing and able to spena A LOT of time outside of class to succeed, then you're fine, but don't expect to get everything in class. She is hard. Nice lady though, even though a lot of the students disliked her...
the worst math teacher in SCC. never take this teacher. doesnt know how to teach. has high expectation. gives no review for exams. gives pop quizes. she actually counts the minutes 4 being late for class. not helful at all. even the math tutors teach better. very bad accent. dont take her unless u want a BIG FAT F on ur transcript.
she is the best math instructor i've ever had. if you want to do well, you can; you just have to make sure you ask questions when you need clarification (which happens less as you get used to her accent). she (almost) never makes a mistake and explains things as simply as possible.
Easily the best math prof i've ever had. if you are serious about learning this material, kloumova will get you there. if you want the easy road (ie you don't care), don't take her; you'll just be lost. otherwise, she will set you up for success in your future science endeavors.
worst prof in scc. lots of hw. collects one chapter of homework at a time. doesn't review for test. counts every minute you late. don't expect to get help fom her. lectures are not clear and not helpful and has a very bad accent. can't understand what she says. after 1st test had passed more than half the students dropped.:(
degrading and belittling remarks are this teachers trademark. by the middle of the term no one want to answer questions because one way or another her is able to make us feel stupid in front of the class, this happens even when you get the answer right
Very hard class and teacher. I agree, she is kinda rude and in a bad mood. She goes over the material toooo fast. Answers questions in an unpolite way. test are hard, but her accent is not a problem 'cause you'll get used to it.
This teacher was as fast as my high school teacher! It's kinda hard to understand her ascent in the beginning, but it's easy to get use to. She try to get student involve a lot and review before every test. If you're serious about math, or NEED it towards your future, TAKE HER!!!! she's funny too
Literally I am one of those people who SUCKS at math. When I first walked into her classroom, I thought I would never do well but then she turned out to be the best teacher I've had in a long time. Now I love math! Take her if you want to really learn!!!!!
I was intimidated at first, but then I realized that she really knows algebra and how to teach it. She is very professional, and really tries to help students. I feel like i learned a lot in her class, and I will try to take another class with her if I can. I recommend her highly, especially if you are really interested in learning math.
What a rollercoaster type semester! It was very difficult in the beginning, and a lot of other people's comments here are true. But after half the semester when there was only 12 people left, she softened up and was extra helpful. Gives extra practice and extra time for exams. Very difficult course, but if you put in the effort, you'll do fine.
I must agree she is a hard teacher. When i first walked into the class room i thought my ears were going to bleed, but then i got used to it. She grades very harsh which drove me insane throughout the semester. none of previous teachers grade test like she does. if you take her, best of luck. STUDY HARD!!
How can anyone let this person teach? She is so intimidating! If u ask her a question she embarasses u and tells u that this is basic math and u need to know. She doesn't explain to us the students, but the board. Her class gave me headaches, i would even cry after class because she goes so fast through the material. I will also file a complaint.
She is hard but she prepared me for calculus. I got B in her class but I got A in calculus. She may look mean but she knows how to teach. She may make comments like you should have known this, but you know what, I should have! She doesn't just prepare you for next math level, but she prepares you for life. Life can be tough! Nothing personal there!
IF MATH IS NOT YOU THING DONOT TAKE HER, SHE INDEED KNOWS HER MATERIAL, BU ONLY A STUDENT WHO IS FASCINATING ABOUT MATH WILL PASS HER CLASS. FUNNY AND SMART BUT IF U WANT AN F OR A W ON YOUR TRASCRIP. TAKE HER...LOL
Do not take this instructor if you just want to "skate" through your class. You will not pass, and will end up giving bogus reviews because you weren't allowed to Mickey Mouse your way to a C or a B. If you are interested in COMPREHENDING and want to be well prepared, take Irina. Your math skills will be better for it.
Kloumova is just for one type of student: those that actually want to KNOW the material. If you are just fulfilling math prereqs, take someone else. Save yourself the headache of not being babied and find a "nicer" teacher. Easily one of the best (other than Rosenberger) professors to take if you want to know the material.
MATH 402 (Calculus III) is a fairly difficult class. I busted my ass doing about 10-12 hours a week of homework and I got an A. Prof Kloumova explains every concept VERY clearly and goes over tons of examples. She is extremely smart and very helpful but god help you if you do not do your homework or the practice tests.
Hard to understand. Easily get mad at student and expect students to know it all. C'mon we are hear to learn......
Do not bother to take this instructor if you are interested in "just passing" - you will not. If you are uninterested in being treated like an adult, find another instructor. If however you want your math maturity improved and have discipline - take Irina. Your skills will be better for it.
It seems as she wants people to fail. She has heavy accent, and I still can't understand her, which makes it horrible for me to comprehend the subject. She grades harshly on the exams. I ended up dropping her class, and I'm not even that bad in math. Just stay away from her and take other teacher.
By far the best professor of mathematics I've ever encountered. Do not take her if you are not committed to mathematics (i.e. just in the class to pass) as expectations are extremely high. Very knowledgeable (Ph.D from U. Moscow). Even in a trigonometry class, she requires proofs/advanced mathematical comprehension to prepare for Calculus.
Shes the worst teacher ever!!!! she doesnt speak english well so its really hard to understand her. She gives 3 hours of homework for each section of the book and the test are graded really tough. Every problem for homework is graded so do them all! If you understand math she is your teach NOT if you need to be taught math... why we are in school!!
I would not recommend taking this teacher. She gives loud expressive sighs to your questions, and made fun of me when I asked her a question. Also her accent makes it hard to understand, and she goes far too quickly & there is little no class involvement besides chastisements "You should know.. What's wrong with you?" She becomes easily frustrated.
I knew her reviews were bad but I thought, "No one can be THAT bad!" WRONG! I was confused 98% of the time because I can't understand what she's saying. She has a really THICK accent. I could carry a light conversation with her but I get headaches trying to understand her when she's teaching calculus. Hard grader, short temper. You've been warned!!
I thought the same thing as many other students, "She can't be THAT bad." She is. She will not help you if you are struggling because if you don't understand the way she's teaching, she won't explain. If you have taken 120 before or are good at math, maybe she'll work for you. She is truly awful.
though she wouldn't be bad NO horrible!you cant understand anything she says!and she expects you to know everything!not very helpful at all!i had to drop or i was going to fail!
She is hard, but very helpful and knowledgable. Have you ever thought that it is not she is THAT BAD, but you? Take an easy instructor, do nothing, learn nothing, and pass.
Good teacher if you are going to take further math classes otherwise do not take her.
She is a hard teacher, this is the first math class I have ever had to try in. Don't take her if you are looking for an easy A. She has a good sense of humor. I would recommend her if you want to learn something. Every day is packed with information, so work hard!
If you really want to learn math, take Professor K. For tests, take advantage of her review sheets because it reflects what will be on the tests. Tough test grader! She may seem intimidating in the classroom but don't be afraid to ask questions. If you go to her office hours, she is extremley helpful. Oh, she can be funny.
her class was so hard for me. i failed at the beginning and at the end. she is a good teacher, her teaching style just didnt work for me. i couldnt understand her. i found myself confused all the time going to her office hours helped but math isnt my subject.
I attended her class once and had to drop right after, I could not understand a word she said. Her accent is very difficult to understand and she seemed like she was in a rush to get the class over with. And she seemed irritated if you asked questions. Don't take her!!!
I consider myself okay at math and knew going into this class that I would have to work hard, but I ended up doing every hw problem in the text, online hw, and had a tutor. With all of that, I still got a D. If you don't understand something, she will make you feel bad for it. So if you're someone who is not math savy, dont take her.
Horrible, worst math experance ever....and I like math. Shees
Undeniably the best professor for upper division preparation. At this school you could take the MATH 400 series with most professors and easily achieve an 'A', yet get almost nothing out of the course. With Irina, you are challenged with difficult problems sets and exams, but it is worth it if you choose to continue in mathematics. Plus 85% = A!
She has to be the worst math teacher I have ever had. Her thick accent is distracting, and she will get angry if you ask a simple question. She has no problem yelling at you in the middle of class for making a small mistake on a practice problem. If you enjoy a strict teacher who has a knack for verbal abuse, take her class.
She is hard to understand and rude to students with questions.
This professor can seem really strict and mean because she'll call you out in front of the class if you're wrong, but if you ask her questions and study hard, she really does help you learn. Just be prepared to have a lot of class participation.
Very prudent and knowledgeable teacher, but it's hard to understand her becase of her strong accent. Every test, you will have an opportunity to earn 10 extra points; however, your score will be deducted dramatically when you make any mistake, and if you do half of the problem, you have a great chance to get 0 (fun fun fun). Final exam is super har
Tough course, but I still feel that I learned a lot and I know I am well prepared for Calculus 1,2 and 3. Study the material before class, sit up front by the board, and focus more on absorbing what she says rather than taking a lot of notes. Recommended for people interested in the sciences... for everyone else, you may risk a failing grade.
Tough Teacher, but very good. nice balance between going over HW and lecture. HW wasn't required, but if you didn't do it she'd know cause you'd fail her insane quiz's. if math isn't your thing, don't take her. if it is then think of her like going to math bootcamp.
accent was fairly easy to get used to. otherwise she recognizes those who work for their grade, and does what she can to further them along. if you're not used to earning your grade don't take this class.
She will not help me just yell at me for being wrong...she seems constantly irritated...marks every little thing wrong that she can. accent is impossible for me to understand. she can take something simple and make it soooo complicated....unless your a math pro, don't take this class with her!!! u have been warned
Sat in the first day, got the F out. Apparently we all need to think faster.
She's comes accross as a difficult instructor because the course material isn't easy. Do not sign up for 3rd-Semester Calculus with her if you can't dedicate at least 12 hours of study a week. I couldn't, so I had to withdraw. I recommend using the summer months to go over EVERYTHING you studied from Pre-Calc to Calc II and take her Fall class.
If it's any indication we had about 15 add ons at the beginning of the semester on top of her 30 allotted spaces, by the time I dropped there was about 15 people left in the class. Students were afraid to ask questions in class due to her remarks that made you feel stupid for asking.
Excellent teacher. Great prep for upper division math and science. Teaches you how to approach problems and offers useful shortcuts. Yes, you have to learn to think faster, and better. Intimidating only if you are easily intimidated. Not for timid, lazy, or spoiled students, or those hoping to memorize their way to an "A" without understanding.
Fast paced relatively difficult class, but useful if you plan to succeed in upper-division math. Plan on 2-5 hours of homework after every session, or you will likely fail. She becomes nicer once all the lazies have dropped, but is always curt (which I think is funny). She grades fairly and is exemplary at mathematics.
There's a reason the other profs teaching the same class have 20-person waitlists and the has seven open spots. She didn't think a year of calculus at UC Davis was good enough preparation for the class, even though I scrutinized the course description and textbook and made sure I'd covered everything that was expected. Pretentious, rude; escape!!
Hard to understand, not the best at explaining what she's doing. Basically just shows you how to solve something a couple times then has the class do it. It's a class where you are on your own all the way.
Very unhelpful and does not explain anything. Avoid at all costs. More than half the class will disappear by midterm.
DO NOT TAKE unless you can coast by with the book and math lab. Very condescending with students and discourages questions (I got a perfect on a quiz so she photocopied and handed back as answer sheet w/o permission). 75% of class drops or get drops, had a problem that was completely right, except had abso Val = dropped abso sign, whole thing wrong
One of the two worst teachers I've ever had at Sac City (the other was a professor who didn't even wait for the planes to stop falling morning of 9/11 before victim blaming). Condescending. Unhelpful. Annunciates on day 1 while saying she gets bad ratings because of her accent, "everyone can understand right?" Day2 talks fast & incomprehensible
Has an extremely unpleasant demeanor. Does not believe in cooperative learning. Very rigid. Believes everyone should be exceptional at math and if you aren't then you're an idiot (she pretty much said this, in so many words). Good mathematician, COMPLETELY ineffective instructor. DO NOT TAKE HER UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY BRILLIANT AT MATH.
I HAVE TO SAY THE SHE IS A PROFESSOR THAT IS REALLY NICE IF YOU GET TO KNOW AND ACTUALLY FINISH THE CLASS WITH HER BECAUSE TOWARDS THE END SHE WAS VERY NICE O EVERYBODY AND SHE WANTS YOU TO LEARN BY RELYING ON HARDWORK, AND SHE DOES PREPARE YOU VERY WELL FOR UPPER DIVISION MATH.SHE IS FUNNY AND NICE AND STOP JUDGING PEOPLE BY THE FIRST DAY!
half the class drop after the first exam... not even worth trying
This is one of the first instructors I took after returning to college after a 25 year hiatus. At first I was appalled at her childish behavior- then I realized why it benefits her. She is lazy. She weeds out all the students that would require her instruction so she is left with those that would pass regardless if she showed up to harass them.
She's a tiny lady with a lot of punch! She expects you to work hard but she's charming and funny and actually really kind if you get to know her. Many things she is, but not lazy! Her life is her students; she gives everything to them and expects the same in return. Among the best teacher at sac city. I learned so much.
Kloumova is honestly one of the most dedicated professors I've ever had. she really cares about her students& she really wants you to learn. She might come off as scary but it's caz she is Russian. just cultural difference. She is actually so nice and helpful especially if you visit her during her office hours. LOVE HER TO BITS. SHE'S THE BEST <3
Either Kloumova is writing the positive reviews herself or she's having someone write them for her. She is purposely nasty to weed people out of the class despite the fact they've paid money to be there purely because of her narrow, conservative attitude regarding mathematics. Horrible teacher. Uninspiring and unhelpful.
There is a difference between a challenging, difficult professor and an abusive one. Kloumova falls in the latter category. Do not take.
She's an amazing professor. 85%+ is an A which isn't hard to get if you put in the effort. Well, I'm pretty good at math so take that as you will. I was afraid of this class because of all the bad ratings, but I think it's really not as bad as people say.
The first day of class she lets you know whose in charge and what she needs from you. She assigns H.W. but doesn't collect it. She writes down an example on the board, skips a few steps, expects you to know it. Then she gives you an example to do on your own w/out help.I felt as though i was with a drill Sargent. AVOID HER AT ALL COST!
Keep in mind what all the other students have written on here. She is a horrible instructor and i can see why she has so much negative remarks from students. Avoid like plaque!
Do not take this class with her.
I would not take Stat 300 from this professor. The first day of class she said she has a strong accent and if we could not understand her we need to drop the class. That left me scrambling to look for an open class. She has a really strong accent which makes listening and understanding the lecture very difficult.
She is very mean! WARNING! If you don't understand something, whatever you do not raise your hand and ask her!!! Not only will she not help you but she will put you down for not knowing what she knows. She has a Massive Ego. Hard to understand through the thick accent and hard to read sloppy hand writing.
Constantly patronizing students who can't follow her rushed lectures. She takes simple math concepts and explains them like you're trying for a doctorates in quantum mechanics then condescends students who she lost during her overly complex explanation. She expects instantaneous mental math and is rude if you are incapable of doing it fast enough.
For 402 for smart dedicated students shes an easy A and she really jump starts your algiebraintugradetal skills as well as gives the most in depth coverage of calc 3.
By far the worst math teacher I've ever had. I'm pretty decent at math and I'm struggling to keep up with her overly complex teaching and inability to answer questions. Extremely condescending and don't expect her to answer questions without hearing "You should already know this." Heed my warning. Don't submit yourself to failing.
Never in all my years of school, have I ever had a teacher say "You should already know this" when a student asks for help and then proceeds to walk away leaving it at that She's also pretty inconsistent insisting that we use the math lab tutoring and our textbook but then gets mad when the book or tutor doesn't do it exactly the way she wants.
Professor Kloumova comes off as very critical in the beginning; however, she is very passioniate about mathematics and teaching. I BARELY got an "A" in her class, but I worked my butt off for that "A." Her accent takes a little getting used to, but I was able to adapt pretty quickly. She is very helpful during her office hours. She's funny too!
Her grading is extremely tough and it is incredibly difficult to understand what she is saying. Do not take her if your a not a strong math student, you will fail.
The only reason I give her a 4 for clarity is because she has a Russian accent and moves really fast. You have to write and think quickly to keep up with the lectures but everything you need is there. She's hardcore and fast paced but a really good teacher. I failed this class twice with other teachers out of boredom. Work hard and learn a lot.
If you are prepared to put the work in, she is a great teacher. She moves fast, and yes, she does have an accent(you get used to it quickly), it IS possible to keep up. If you pay attention, participate in lecture and do the homework, you'll be fine. She is a GREAT teacher, thorough and really builds a good knowledge base for your future courses.
Yikes! she was my last option, and i would never want to take her again. She does have a heavy accent making it entirely difficult to keep up. i found myself seeking outside help more than the 2.5 hour class. waste of time. i overall dropped her class after 5 weeks. Would not recommend!!
Do NOT take the class if you are not thoroughly familiar with Algebra 2, you will just waste your time. Be prepared to attend every class because she covers a whole lot in 2 hrs 20 minutes. She works fast and expects you to keep up and do timed problems. Overall an amazing, smart teacher with a lot of experience. Not for everyone.
If you do not understand something she will tellu u got it wrong a.d walk away from you leaving all questions unanswered.
