Irina is a good teacher for most students. If you understand most problems by seeing them worked out and can do well without graded homework you're set. She's very clear about what is on tests and if you keep up quizzes should be passable as well. Very easy going about taking quizzes in groups or with open notes. If you want a day off, ask her about the old days in Russia and she'll kill the whole hour talking.

This is a hard class and felt as such, but I would say that Dr. Viktorova did a good job teaching the material, and the TAs were accessible if you needed help. It definitely wasn't a cakewalk, but if you put in the work and pay attention, the class isn't horrible.

Her paper exams are really hard, but she will give you a lot of credit back. It was difficult because I would study A LOT and still feel like I was seeing the material for the first time on her quizzes and exams. My advice: where you sit matters. If you want to ask questions at any point you need to be close because the lectures are very fast paced

Calc 3 is a tough class which was not made easier with Dr. Viktorova. Her accent is not hard to understand but rather the pace at which she teaches makes taking notes pointless. The only reason she is not a bad teacher is because you can argue points back on exams and she is occasionally generous. Make some friends in the class, you'll need them.

Dr. Viktorova truly cares about her students. She does teach fast, and off of notes that are already completed. But, if you introduce yourself to her and go to her office hours, she does give you back so many points on your exams. She rounded my grade from a failing grade to a C, truly I believe because we established a good relationship.

Calc 3 is tough and Dr. Viktorova goes very fast during lectures. She's also confused anytime a question is asked because she can't comprehend someone not understanding the material. I'd recommend retaking notes outside of class. She does genuinely want everyone to do well and is very generous with giving points back and rounding grades up.

She literally said that she was going to make the quizzes too hard/long to complete in a class period, and she was right! Exams are very difficult and way too long for the time given. Dry lecturer with terrible handwriting so her test reviews are practically illegible. Pre-written notes make for hard to follow lectures. At least the TAs were nice.

Dr. Viktorova may seem intimidating but she is super sweet one on one. There are easier professors to take but if you have her it is possible to do really well in this class just know you will have to put in the work yourself, you are working with hard material and it only becomes easy if you study on your own time. I recommend group studying.

I didn't personally take her, but my professor had her videos on Canvas. Her video lectures use extremely old and hard-to-follow notes. She speaks with a monotonous voice and accent- it seems like she would rather be doing anything else than recording these videos. Based on these alone, I wouldn't touch any of her classes with a 39.5 ft pole!

Her accent isn't too bad but she doesn't teach well. She simply reads off slides and doesn't explain everything properly. For each exam, she posts a practice exam the weekend before with worked out solutions that are similar to the actual exam. Good luck arguing for a regrade with her though. Survivable but better to take another teacher.

Viktorova is knowledgeable in her field, and sometimes, she expects you to understand concepts faster than you can. This is evident in her fast-paced lectures. However, she is generally thorough with content. Quizzes are harder than tests but are collaborative and open notes. The exams are pretty much the same as the old exams she posts.

She gets a bad rap for her very fast lectures, but honestly, it's nice being able to be done with the class in like 30 minutes. The homework she assigns on Pearson is going to be your saving grace, as it has a "Help me solve this problem" button and gives you a comprehensive walkthrough, which can be used for notes. Overall, great for fast learners
